As a Nurse Practitioner I feel infinitely qualified to judge when the care provided is excellent. Dr. Gurushanthaiah and the staff at IGO are outstanding. Kind, compassionate, comprehensive, this is an office that still cares about what they do and somehow has managed to stay in the realm of excellence in a healthcare system that seems to be deteriorating rather rapidly.

I love Dr Guru. She started out as my OB and Ive been with her for more than 20 years. She is more than my gynecologist. She makes sure I do my yearly blood work and follows up on any concerns that I might have with my health. Definitely my womens health doctor. I chose to pay more to have a ppo insurance so that I can stay with Dr Guru.

My first visit to Dr. Gurushanthaiah after my OBGYN of 25 years retired. Dr. Gurushanthaiah spent far more time than I anticipated to learn about me and to share latest health knowledge that would be relevant to me. Its not often that a doctor has the time to spend asking questions to make sure you have discussed everything thats on your mind. I realize this is probably part of a first visit, but its been awhile since I have experienced a physician asking so many questions to better know me. She is warm, curious, smart and knowledgeable. I left feeling completely confident, happy and lucky to have been referred to her.

Dr. Guru is knowledgeable, thorough and kind. She listens to your concerns and addresses them appropriately. You won’t find a better physician!

Amazing Doctor! I would not go to OBGYN but after being in her office and amazing staff, I will continue with check ups. She is very friendly, patient, and caring. Never have I received better care! Thank you Dr Guru and staff!

I recently moved to San Diego and in need of a OBGYN. I found Dr. Guru and when I went in to see her I had such a wonderful experience. From the valet attendants, to the front desk staff, the nurses and Dr. Guru. I felt very safe, comfortable and cared for! Dr. Guru was very thorough. She listened intently and held space for me to be open and honest. She was very gentle with examination and made me feel comfortable. She called me on Friday evening (when she probably could have been off call for the weekend!) And gave me a detailed explanation about my lab results etc...She is so sweet and wonderful. I highly recommend her to any woman of any age!!!!!!!!

Dr. Guru is AMAZING. The best doctor I have ever seen. She is so patient and friendly and genuinely cares for you as both a patient and a person. She took the time to review my history and made me feel so comfortable. After years of struggling to find an OBGYN I am so glad I found her.

I had her as my obgyn for my first pregnancy, she is great and one of the best. I had seen many doctors for my PCOS and luckily found her and she helped me understand the problem and encouraged healthy lifestyle. I was able to get pregnant without any fertility drugs, thanks to dr. Guru. Even when I was pregnant she showed her knowledge and answered all my questions and gave me time, attention and empathy. Angie was her nurse at that time and she was amazing too; always trying to connect with everyone and lightened up our moods. Unfortunately for my second pregnancy it was very hard to get her appointments and the front desk did not cooperate much either. The first ob appointment they offered was on my birthday and I had plans for the day and they did not have any other dates available. Anyways, if you are looking for an obgyn Dr. Guru is one of the best out there. She will always give her very best. This review has been long due but finally writing it today because when I see my kids healthy and happy I always remember what role she has played to help me take charge of my fertility. Thank You Dr.Guru.
