Planned Parenthood - Westside Health Center

Extremely disappointed in this clinic. I arrived extremely optimistic because of all the positive things I’ve heard about this organization. I scheduled an appointment ahead of time but was left in the waiting room for a 1.5hrs, after being told the visit would be max 1hr. Poor communication with the front desk when I would be seen, and even people arriving later than me were seen before. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

They accepted my insurance fully, the women were so kind and understanding, they went out of their way to give me the services I needed because I came 3.5 hours to be seen. The wait time or the timing in general is a little long but its worth it! My care providers were amazing!

The hispanic woman with glasses at the front was rude, no customer service skills. How in this day do people not know how to interact. I dont talk to people in a rude way and I expect to be spoken to with the same level of respect. I arrived for my appt and was asked to wait they were doing computer work? Checking someone else in? Although there was no else in line I waited close to 10 mins for the woman to call me- mind you I needed to check in or I would miss my appt time. I spoke up so I wouldnt miss my appt after driving an hour to get to this location. I managed to get the names of the women working in front; Phoebe Pilar and Kristy my best guess would be Pilar if I based my guess on ethnicity. We need to do better.

I had a terrible experience receiving abortion services at this planned parenthood. When I initially made the appointment and gave my insurance info I was told my insurance would be accepted no problem. I arrived to my first appointment with claims from the receptionists that they would not take my insurance at all, and wanted $600 out of pocket. After showing the receptionists that my insurance is listed as being accepted on the website for this clinic, the story changed to they would accept it with a referral. After having to reschedule the appointment and getting direct authorization through my insurance it still cost me $250, with my only income being unemployment. All the exchanges with the receptionists were very cold and they seemed annoyed to be dealing with me. I arrived on time for my follow up appointment only to wait for over an hour as other people came after me and were immediately seen. I inquired at the front desk as it was now an hour past my appointment time and got taken back only to wait another 45 minutes in the room before deciding to leave. I checked in about the obscene wait time at the front desk only to be met with no response and a blank face. I do not recommend this clinic for abortion services, and would recommend the Watsonville or San Jose clinic over this one. What shouldve been a routine doctors appointment was instead incredibly stressful and has left me in tears. I have also heard many horror stories from friends about the abysmal treatment theyve received trying to get gender care services at this location.

The woman at the front desk is terrible. We had to wait well over an hour. I brought my daughter because she was scared to death, we made the appointment and she thought I could go in with her. Under 18 allows parent or guardian in. Exceptions can be made. My husband and I spent an hour just keeping her mind off things. Someone needs to teach kindness to the front desk employees and fire the ones there.

They ask you to block off 30 min before and after appt time because they might call you early or late. Waited over an hour from check in call to hear from provider and I had to call in and ask if I was still going to receive a call.Provider - Jessica - was unhelpful and unprofessional, but I did receive the service I called in for so that’s worth 1 star.Billed me $70 for the long wait and a 15 min call with the provider.

Scheduled an appointment over the phone where I informed the lady I had Kaiser insurance along with medical. There seemed to be no issue until I showed up at the office where they informed me I wasn’t going to be able to be seen because I had Kaiser. I feel like everything could have been avoided had this been explained over the phone.

Don’t come to this location unless you want to wait over 1 hour to be seen. The rude girl at the front desk said that people are usually expected to wait between an hour and hour and a half. Since when? Why have people make an appointment if you’re going to have to wait over an hour to be seen? Everyone who showed up after me got seen before me. Not very professional. Learn to properly schedule your appointments.

Been going here for years and although there is usually a wait, its worth the wait. All the staff is friendly and respectful if youre friendly and respectful. Im grateful for planned parenthood!

What an incredible community service to have accessible and affordable health care. The people that are complaining about waiting an hour or half an hour is laughable, do they not understand this is better and faster care than if you have insurance.

Excellent medical care. Great doctors, and very kind, caring staff in reception and back office nurses. I had seen several doctors about a rash, including a dermatologist. Only Planned Parenthood was able to both find the cause and treat this condition. The rash was gone within days.

Waited for over 2 hours , they said they only have one provider working. Literally did a pain med for an infection . The staff is incredibly rude and would not even give us a bathroom key. Do your self a favor and go somewhere else unless you have hours on end to wait.

They do what ever I say and they like to obey me.

I went here in 2015 for a minor procedure and had a great experience. No complaints, reasonable price. I would not hesitate to go back.

I had appointment, but I could not use the restroom! THE RESTROOM IS LOCKED BY THEM! I was in hurry that I asked them! The stuff told me:Sorry, we still check your information. I can not let you in! Such awful!

Amending a previous review. Went back to planned parenthood today and had great interactions with all the staff. The doctor was wonderful.

Would not recommend to anyone. They make errors on my account, tell me I have an appointment then cancel on me. Will be changing doctors ASAP!

Nurse gave false information about family planning and health on more than one occasion.

The staff has always been very nice and try to give you as much information and help as possible.☺️

The best doctors office Ive ever been too, the only office I trust. The one Ive had since I was a child.

Kind staff, superior standard of care. They are all kind and compassionate and they go above and beyond to ensure patient comfort.

Walked in and read walk in welcome but turns out they dont take walk ins so because of that I have to stress for a whole week, horrible lie right in front of the door.
