I really appreciate the kindness and consistency in care i receive here. Even when my pcp (who I adore) was on leave, I got excellent care and felt I was heard and I could trust that my concerns around why I came in for the appt were addressed. I really appreciate how quickly orders can be sent to and from the lab downstairs and how thorough the doctors and staff are here, and how quickly I can speak to someone. It really is an assurance that my medical needs are in the hands of these caring and knowledgeable providers, and I feel lucky to be a patient here

I have had such good experiences with the UW Women’s Clinic! I had some medical concerns and the doctors who worked with me answered my questions in detail and helped me determine the best treatment plan for me. I felt heard and taken seriously. This last time I was in for a more routine appointment, I was early and they got me in within minutes anyway. Every doctor and staff person I speak with is respectful, empathetic and knowledgeable.

I just wanted to come on here to say that I am GRATEFUL and IMPRESSED with the care I received from Tracy Winderbaum! She was so kind and so supportive of my feelings and emotions, she made me feel so comfortable like I was speaking with a good friend. She listened to my concerns with my menstrual cycle and my on going fertility journey and recommended care that would put me in the right direction. Thank you Tracy and UW Women’s Health Care Center, it was so refreshing to feel heard and respected!

I can’t speak of the actual medical care here because I haven’t been able to be seen yet. But the scheduling has been horrible. I made an appt, a couple days later got a call back saying that appt wasn’t actually available. I had to reschedule for a later date. I got another call back yesterday saying the appt wasn’t scheduled correctly and I need to reschedule… again. They didn’t pick up the phone when I called back.

I love this clinic. Every provider I have seen has been wonderful and thorough, and I never feel like they don’t care or didn’t take the time to listen.

I had a serious medical emergency so I went to Urgent Care on Sunday and was told to make an appointment w my OB/GYN for follow up. At this point as a patient I am scared, Im overthinking, Im in a lot of pain THE LAST THING I want to deal with is a rude receptionist. First off, based on my appearance and me simply saying “Does Dr.—- have any availabilities either today or this week or any OB or Midwife?” The receptionist goes “We’re not accepting any new patients” and continues to have me leave the area. I was offended because my OB is the nicest lady ever, and she actually cares about my case and for this lady to be the reason I can’t see her really upset to a point where I started crying and hyperventilating. No one around me wished to help me or try to calm me down. Anyone that works here who is not a Doctor treats every patient with disrespect. I am 21 years old, I live alone, I don’t have any family, I deal with my medical problems by myself how do you think the patient, myself, feels after having to deal with something like this? I felt useless and unwanted and that no one wanted to help me so I had to suffer alone. This is not the kind of treatment anyone should be feeling when it comes to healthcare.

Do not waste your time here. All UW Medicine does is bill you incorrectly and the doctors could care less about you; currently appealing a racist remark that a provider said to me. They just want you to keep coming in for literally nothing just so they can keep billing you. Doctor won’t renew my medication of 15 years unless I do a wellness appointment every month. No, thank you. I’d rather not go broke on copays(not to mention I already pay for my prescription)for you to just check my vitals and be an hour late to every appointment. Go literally anywhere else. I’d recommend Country Doctor over any UW Medicine establishment and it’s essentially a free clinic with a sliding scale; staff is way nicer.

First off, I really love my OBGYN Dr. Porshia Underwood. She is empathetic, willing to discuss info in a way that the patient best learns (Im a visual person), down to earth & creates a great doctor-patient relationship, and just overall amazing. I hope one day I can find her working elsewhere than UW Med though, because Ive never been charged double at any other facility than UW Med. Maybe this is the standard for receiving care at universities, but Ill pass.I typically pay just a $30 copay for these types of visits. Well the first time I saw this double charging (or split charge as they like to word it), I called and asked what the other new charges were about. After they were explained to me, it was clear that I was essentially just being charged rent for my time occupying the room that I was seen in by the doctor. Ridiculous, but whatever, I paid it. Ive been there a couple times since, but this last visit was the last straw for me. It was a telehealth visit, meaning I didnt go into the office. I was again charged my normal $30 copay to have a quick chat with Dr. Underwood. Then, I was charged $40.07 for hospital services!!! For TELEHEALTH!! I called the billing department today. To summarize, they told me Oh, split charging is a way to make sure your Dr gets paid :) To which my response was, they are getting paid... mostly through my insurance, but thats what my $30 copay is for, insurance pays the Dr the rest. Billing: Well the $40.07 is how the university gets their money. Me: But they didnt render any services to me for that visit, so I should only be paying for Dr. Underwoods time.....Oh AND the billing guy was basically like, well yeah youre having to pay this because you havent hit your deductible yet. You should try hitting your deductible and then your insurance will cover more. Excuse me? 😂 No, I just shouldnt be charged for ridiculous things that no other medical facility charges for. Its just the principle that Im being charged for something that I shouldnt be.Asking for a detailed itemized receipt of the hospital services did not do any good. Billing department is not willing to remove payment for services not rendered. The itemized receipt they sent told me nothing that the other bill summary I saw could have told me.

Dr. Stevens is by far the BEST OBGYN I have ever had! She has made every visit a wonderful experience. I can actually say I’m excited to go to the doctor just because of her. She always runs on time. You can’t go wrong with choosing her for your care!

The care at this place is excellent, however, DO NOT GO HERE WITHOUT INSURANCE ! If you are a UW student this is NOT the same as going to hall health even though they are in the system. I went here for a 30 minute intake appointment (just a routine checkup) where they did the basic stuff like weigh me, check my lungs etc. I didnt have any shots, procedures, tests, or anything like that. They charged me around 800 dollars because they charge a fee for both the clinic and the hospital even though I had nothing done. My insurance covered the cost but this could have been a detrimental mistake if I didnt have insurance. I am and UW student and cannot afford charges like this. Im sad that I cant go here anymore because I really liked the location. I was convinced the billing was a mistake but was told by several different people it was not a mistake.

Horrible experience. I had an appointment with Dr. Oyenmwen J inneh. She did not listen or care about my feelings or concerns. She did absolutely nothing. My appointment was for 40 minutes and she only saw me for about 15 min. Worst Dr. I have ever seen, I would avoid her.

I literally can not stand this place. I went here two years in a row for regular check ups, my annuals, and birth control, and every time I went in, it was actually the worst hospital experience I’ve ever had in my life. I kept giving them another chance, because the orthopedic section of the hospital was wonderful when I had family members in it. But in the Women’s Clinic I got laughed at for asking to get a blood test for herpes, which I get every year, because I’d like to be on the safe side of things, I was allegedly diagnosed with a skin condition nobody ever told me about, I was misdiagnosed, and somehow prescribed a prescription I never even heard of until over a year later, and I now have ALL sorts of things on my official medical record that I had no knowledge of. And to top it off, you can’t just get through to anyone you need to talk to, ever, unless you email using their ecare and wait days for an email response. I would actually seriously consider cutting my own eyeballs out before ever going back here again.

Every OB and nurse that I have interacted with here has been stellar. Easy to ask a question through ecare, supportive of different modalities chiropractic/acupuncture/yoga. They are happy that I will have a doula by my side during labor. Very progressive labor and delivery options paired with OB teams who are some of the best in their field to help you and your baby if things go wrong.

Karen L Carlson, ARNP was smug, unprofessional, and did not listen. Needs to be talked to, b/c she came off racist, and made me feel extremely uncomfortable, due to her lack of willingness to hear me and mentioned my symptoms may be all in my head. Its sad that one person can ruin the comfort I once had with this facility.
