Sheila Shaw Weiss

Sheila was an awful genetic counselor for my family. She was not helpful in educating me about my child’s diagnosis. She relentlessly encouraged that we abort our baby, emphasized how difficult our life would be, and insinuated that my husband and I were related and that is why our child would have Down syndrome. After parenting my daughter for nearly two years, it astounds me how out of date and innacurate her information is. If you are referred to her after a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome, think twice about recieving counseling from her. There are many other medical professionals to choose from that will surely be more helpful than this lady.
