HealthCARE Express Urgent Care - Shreveport, LA

I had an unknown rash pop up on a Tuesday evening and it was getting worse and spreading. On Saturday morning I decided to go to urgent care. The front desk lady, nurse, and doctor all made me feel very comfortable. Got a steroid shot and some meds to take. My rash is clearing up and they had me taken care if very quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend this quick care if you cant wait to see a doctor.

Our experience at Blanchard Healthcare was amazing. From the moment we came through the front door we were greeted with excellent service. Our doctor was amazing and asked and answered all of our questions. If you are looking for quick quality care for you or your family, I strongly recommend giving them a try.

We saw Dr. Jack and hes awesome!! A great listener and he knows what hes talking about. Front desk was nice and kind and everyone there were just wonderful!! I would recommend anyone to come here for great service!!

I absolutely love HealthCare Express! They are so friendly and caring. This is my #1 go to urgent care. They are so concerning and they actually listens to you which is a plus. This HealthCare Express has the friendliest receptionist I’ve ever encountered, I absolutely love her and the Dr. we saw today was awesome!

I do not like the phone check-in or the invasive questions about mental health. Im a returning patient and all of my info was already in the system except new insurance but was told to re-enter everything. Nurse and doctor were friendly.

My husband first had a great experience with Jack at the healthcare express in Marshall a couple of years ago. That’s why we came to the facility in Blanchard, because we knew Jack was there now. Today, he was helped by nurse Bree, and Dr. Reynolds, in Blanchard. He received the most remarkable care. This is what a doctor’s visit used to be, and should always be. They restored our faith in first class medical care. They were efficient, kind, thorough, knowledgeable, and professional. They had time to answer our questions. I would double the number of stars if it were possible. We give it our highest possible recommendation. Thank you!

This place is an absolute scam. Went here to get my prescription refilled since Im from out of town. I paid out of pocket. They changed me $200 before being seen and when I asked thats just for a prescription refill they said yes. Then I was finally seen after having to wait awhile even though I was the only one in the office. Come to find out they require all new patients to get blood work done. Ive never heard of that before at an urgent care. Im still waiting on my results over a week later after being told it would be three days max. Find someone else to get seen medically. This place is an absolute scam and should be investigated.Update, over three weeks later and still not a word about my results or anything. Absolutely absurd!!

Went here for shoulder pain. I received a shot and the Dr or Mr cause the nurse referred to him as Mr not Dr said you should be better in 2 days. WOW I didn’t go to quick care to feel better in 2 days. I’m still in a lot of pain. I called back up there and they said the medicine they prescribed should help no it was like aspirin. Totally disappointed. Can’t sleep in to much pain

I received excellent service when checking in, my information and insurance was collected in a professional manner and was moved to an exam room in a reasonable amount of time. The doctor performed a thorough but rapid assessment which led to a diagnosis and treatment plan… They did what they were supposed to do.

Best urgent care I been too!! Very nice staff. They listen to all my concerns and solved my problems without a problem. Fast and efficient. I travel 20 mins to this location and I will do it again.

Booked an appointment for a school physical for my son. Upon arrival was turned away being advised they don’t do physicals for pediatric patients. Online reviews (maybe I’m just assuming) says they do school and sports physicals which are usually for pediatric patients. When this appointment was booked it would’ve been courteous for someone from the office to have called to give the heads up that they don’t do pediatric physicals and not wasted my time just to be turned away. I made the appointment in the morning for a mid day slot, there was plenty of time to have called or when I called after making the appointment to confirm, the person I spoke with verified the age of the patient although it was already provided to schedule the appointment.

Great quick care, the nurse and doctor were very professional and informative for my problem. I appreciate this place and their professionalism so much! There are other quick cares closer to me but I always drive the 20 minutes because I know it’ll be worth the drive. Thanks again! 💜

Wait was not long. My daughter was seen and we were out of the office within 45 mins. Nice and Friendly staff.

Went Fri! Thought all was fine until I went to pharmacy and only one of the 2 prescriptions were called in and of course they were closed. Everything was fine except that!

Overall I had one of the best experiences at this clinic. The staff was friendly and the physician was nice and efficient he had me in and out in a matter of mins.

I went up there for an allergic reaction to a wasp sting and I told them I needed prednisone prescription the nurse practitioner gave me a cortisone injection a Benadryl and an antacid two days later my condition is not improved as it should.

The Staff is AMAZING!!! The Service is OUTSTANDING!!! I pass 3 other Urgent Care Facilities to go to Healthcare Express because to me, they are the BEST!!!

The workers are helpful and attentive. The front desk workers can be a bit more friendly but the nurses and doctors are thorough and sensitive to your needs. I appreciate their patience with me when I’m there feeling my absolute worst.

There was hardly any waiting and Dr Patrick assessed my situation and made astute recommendation for my treatment.

Would Not Recomend went in for Visit on June 13 2024 for Swollen Leg .I stated that Most LIkely was a Allergic Reaction, there was no Test run or Medicine Prescribed,After talking with a Friend of mine and sending Picture of my Leg ,who is a Medical Professional they Argreed with me that is probally was a Reaction and recommened to take Bendryl and within 2 Days my Leg was back down.Complete waist of Time

The doctor was quick. My son was happy at gaining candy after the visit.

I had been suffering with neck pain for 6 days. Im a single mom of two tiny boys, so I wear a ton of hats daily. The pain made it hard to complete any of those tasks. I was called to the backs a few minutes after registering with the very nice young lady at the front desk. The nurse who took my vitals was very thorough and accommodating, as I had to bring my littles with me and they were too young to leave in the waiting room alone. She even repeated my issue and the medical history I had given her before leaving the room......I could literally kiss the provider. He came in and pinpointed the source of my pain, explained what the pain was and how it may have started, and gave me a quick resolution. Even though my insurance is not accepted here, Id gladly pay the cash price again for the hospitality and service I got!!!! I love this place!!!

I get my yearly prescriptions renewed and my minor medical needs from the doctor and nurses there. All the services provided they provided in their professional manor. Great place to go to for my non life threading needs.

Quick to get to the back. Very courteous staff. Everything is digital though, so intake forms require you to have a phone.

This is by far not the closest urgent care I could go to however, I travel here because I am always seen fast and the staff if very friendly and understanding of my unique situation.Ive also taken my 1 year old and loved the way he was treated as well. Im a busy mom and person and nothing beats the fast and friendly service at this urgent care.

I felt as if I had to die to feel better lol! Bad joke! The burst and PA I saw were efficient and got me seen and treated in a timely manner. I was visiting from out of town but would use them again

I was expecting a long wait, but wasnt as long as I expected. The staff was very courteous and professional. Couldnt expect more from the doctor, he was excellent. My wife & I thought that we had a bad cold, but we were tested for COVID and found that we tested positive for COVID. The doctor explained thourly our situation and what to do & what to expect and prescribed the proper medication for our illness. I would definitely recommend your business to any one.

Better call before going for a DOT Physical. They do not do these just any day of the week. Things have changed.___________________Just went there today for my DOT Physical. All three ladies were very nice, professional, and prompt with the service. Facilities were very clean. This is my kind of place. You will love it.

I’ve been twice and everytime they act like they don’t wanna actually figure out what’s wrong they just wanna get you out both times I stayed sick and was misdiagnosed and had to go somewhere else. Will not be going back.

I like the people here. The on-line check in, paperwork, and booking through their web site is a huge time-saver. It was worth a wait on a very busy day. UPDATE: We returned a year later, still found fast check-in, friendly and efficient care providers. Skin infection clearing; MUCH BETTER than any ER in town or having to wait to see our GP. Thanks!

Absolutely one of the most convenient urgent cares I’ve ever visited: I walked in at 11 and left by 12! They use SOLV which is an online check-in system. It allowed me to fill my intake paperwork from the safety of my car. The waiting area felt like a living room & was very clean. The receptionist and the nurse were very kind. I received my test results within 20 minutes. The Dr. was very informative and empathetic.

Got in and out! Very easy experience

Love the staff, loved the location, loved the doc and the fast service but when I went to check out after my short visit for a sinus infection visit I was told My bill was almost $1100 for a 7 min visit with the doc. All I got was a shot and a script. Thought that price was a little over the top for the services received and the amount of time I was actually there. If I could have seen my internist today the max her bill would have been would top out at about $175-200 and that might be on the high side. This billing is more in line with an ER billing than an Urgent Care Facility. What the heck?

The experience was thorough and I was seen quickly although I thought it would be different since many people were in front of me.

Every time I’ve been here in the past the receptionist are rude and not helpful. I took my daughter in and I needed immediate assistance and the receptionist left us at the check in window for way too long. Meanwhile the nurses were just walking by and ignoring that we were even there. When I politely ask for an explanation she got very defensive and hateful. Also they always seem to be understaffed.

Worst Urgent experience ever, called day before to make sure they had my paperwork and it was confirmed they did, so they were expecting me. I arrived at 8:00am when they opened and they took 4 patients in ahead of me, I was there for 2 1/2 hours for a 30 minute visit.

Took my 95 year-old Dad in on a Sunday because his eye was causing him much pain. Didnt have to wait too long, and the doctor (Dr. Culbertson?) conducted a thorough examination and prescribed an antibiotic cream that completely eliminated the pain by the next morning.Everyone at this clinic (doctor, assistants, front desk) was very friendly, and I appreciated the way they took care of my Dad. We wont hesitate to use this clinic whenever the need might arise.

Today, I visited this location and had the worse experience ever!! The nurse NIKKI WAS HORRIBLE!! Nikki was ready to close at 6:30 pm because, during my visit, Nikki informed me she would not help or do anything because they close at 8. Then she said, you will have to pay $250 for this, $250 for that, and then $45 for this. Okay, we can deliver that; tell me how. Why did I say that? Nikki stomped her feet, huffed, and puffed like a 6-year-old. Nikki didn’t want to hear that because she closed at 8 PM!! Then the manager JACK came out front. We can’t help you all today. I asked why. He said Nikki already informed you why. I said no, she just told us you all close at 8 PM, AND it is NOW 7 pm. I said no NIKKI told us if we wanted any help, we would have to pay out of pocket. She would be able to assist us. We agreed to pay out of pocket. Now it’s another issue. You would have thought Jack as a manager, would have been a little more mature about the situation, but unfortunately, he wasn’t. I have realized today some individuals don’t need to be working face to face in public because of their personalities.

I was is serious lower back pain. Couldnt sleep. Couldnt sit. Couldnt stand . Could not get comfortable for bout 2 weeks. Didnt know what I did to it. Im in construction so really no telling. The nice ladies got me in and gave me two shots and 2 hrs later I felt like a new man. I really appreciate it. All of you were awesome. I will refer everyone I know.

We tried to bring my little brother in because he was cut deeply in his forehead. We got there and it was somewhat time for them to close but it was the closest to us and my brother was bleeding a lot. We walked up there and the fat lady at the reception desk turned us away with my brothers face and everything covered in blood.

I came from out of town after experiencing my symptoms for a week out of state (a whole insurance thing). The wait time was great, no other patients were there, and the facility looked and smelled like a spa upon walking in. This was about the only good thing about this place and the reason for two stars instead of one.The nurse was cold and very curt, and the doctor listed things I *could* have but then couldnt do an xray bc their tech had already left for the day, and didnt give me any immediate relief for anything except my cough with a prescription for cough syrup. They didnt even do the usual Flu/Covid swab. As soon as I left the building and walked about 15 feet from the door, they were locking it behind me. It was obvious they just wanted to get me out so they could go home, which I understand since I was their last patient, but I needed help, or else I would have waited until I was back in my hometown to go to my normal urgent care in the first place. I went to my hotel and cried...mostly from pain, but also from frustration.Upon arriving home, turns out I had pleurisy, bronchitis, and a strained intercostal (rib muscle). There I received the care I should have received from this place: an xray, a Covid test, a breathing treatment, both a steroid and pain injection, an antibiotic, an inhaler to take home, prescription cough syrup, and a muscle relaxer.Dont go to this place if youre in a pinch and need immediate relief (which is what urgent care is supposed to be, correct?). Im finally on the mend, but no thanks to this place, unfortunately.

Went for high blood pressure. Very courteous and everyone was wonderful. Happy to have them in the area instead of having to travel 15 to 20 miles anywhere else. It took me more time to sign in ( 1st time) than wait to be called.

We were out of state when my wife got ill and had to find the nearest urgent care. Dr Reynolds, the nurse, and the front desk were all amazing. Did everything they could to help and went above and beyond in trying to make my wife feel better. I would highly recommend them to anyone coming through Shreveport.

They are extremely slow. Waited over an hour for flu test results. Total time in clinic 3 hours with 2 hours back in a room waiting on test results the majority of the time. Nurse was friendly but everyone else was extremely unprofessional

This place needs to just close down. First in April they called in a prescription for my sick five year old. The pharmacy says the dose they submitted did not exist. We ended up in the ER and then admitted to the hospital. Today, they don’t even call in the darn prescription. My child has an ear infection and they claimed they would call the prescription in. The pharmacy has nothing. This is not a good place for kids because they simply don’t care if kids get better. Y’all need to do better!

I like this location. The provider was very thorough with what I was experiencing.

Had to wait 2 1/2 to get a rapid Covid test. I was a little impatient but the new variant has just went crazy came back inconclusive. So they did a PCR test hopefully comes back negative. But I just want to be sure before I go home to my 7 year old daughter. Doctor was very good at explaining what was going on.

They were very nice and prompt not much of a wait time.will go back if I need to. Very pleased. Not the results I wanted but still pleased with the staff and Doctors.

Have always loved this place and the staff. They always take time to listen to you and not herd you like cattle. Now the new online appointment has got to be fixed or gone, don’t offer an appointment option and leave you in the waiting room with the walk ins. Just leave it as first come first serve.

Even though it was busy on this particular day Healthcare was able to get me in and out at with no issues.

Excellent care, caring and respectful staff. HCE covers such a huge variety of illnesses and injuries that the ER would charge so much more to treat and take SOOOOO much longer to get to see a doctor. I actually drive past 2 different quick care places and 6 more miles just to get to Health Care Express because I know Ill be in and out, and back home before I will even be put in a room at the other quick, urgent, and velocity places. Well, well worth the drive. It has never taken me longer than 30 minutes in and out, and when you feel yucky, thats important!

Giving FALSE positive Covid test results!!!I took 5 test: 1 there, 2 at home, 1 through CVS and 1 at an ER… out of all of them this was the only one that came back positive! I told them there that it wasn’t right. They caught an attitude and said theirs is more accurate. Idk how theirs can be any more accurate than an er and a cvs lab!!! I wouldn’t recommend going there unless you’re wanting a false positive result!(I had to get tested for work because of sinus infection. I had to prove I didn’t have Covid! Which I knew it wasn’t.. anyways) 😒

My visit went well other being there 2 1/2 hours and I had made my appointment online. But Kristen at the front was precious and I went and laid in my car and she called me when it was my turn.

Very unprofessional staff , my husband was a new pt., so we filled out the proper paper work and turned it in to the receptionist ,she then placed the information in the computer, after her and the triage nurse was threw talking and texting on their phone they called him back .. The doctor (Im assuming ) bc she did not introduce herself , walked into the room , my husband had staph and it needed to be lanced , she cut with a blade not a scaple but the blade itself ( which is a safety issue ) she did the procedure and placed her gloves in the trash , then proceeded to pick up all contaminated items with no gloves and did not wash her hands , which really didnt effect my husband but it will the next pt. she came in contact with and then I thought who did she see before my husband and what diagnosis did they have , ugh , I have been a nurse for 20 + years so I watch for safety issues along with infection control , I DO NOT recommend this place and will warn my family and friends about it

They charged me $50 co-pay for an office visit (and coded/billed my insurance company as an office visit as well) instead of charging / coding for a COVID test...which would be 100% percent covered by insurance and nothing out of my pocket if it was coded corrected (as is FEDERALLY MANDATED!). Even when I called them about it they wouldnt budge...not sure if it is sheer incompetence or just fraudulent!

X-rays can be done here. They accept most insurances. They dont accept medi-caid at this time. Beautiful place...super clean. Now I wont have to drive all the way to Shreveport on weekends when sick.

Will never use again. Constantly getting bills over and over. Did not have the medication I need so they gave me something different and was told if it didnt work come back and they will try again. Didnt work so I went back and still didnt have what I need so I left with no service and still got billed.

Nice place to visit, beautiful warm atmosphere, receptionists , techs, nurses and doctors care about your overall well being.
