Cassie is an angel and she made the whole experience so comfortable. This was my second time going back to see her, and I have a few health issues but she reassured me and it was the smoothest process. If you are looking for abortion care with compassion and gentleness, pick this clinic and pick Cassie as your provider. I wish I could give her more than 5 stars. And remember, you will be okay! You got this :)

Thank you Carafem for taking excellent care of my loved one.It was amazing that I called and there was an open appointment within two hours. In addition, the procedure was well-instructed, and the hourly communication via text gave strength to the fact that she was not alone. On a side note, we are so grateful to live in the state of Illinois.

If I could give Carafem 10 stars, I would. I tried calling Planned Parenthood first, but was told that I would have to make a separate appointment elsewhere for an ultrasound before they would see me (and the woman on the phone was rude with me while explaining this). Carafem, however, offered a 1-and-done appointment, ultrasound included. I traveled from out of state and had to book lodging for the weekend, which was expensive and inconvenient - upon arriving at the clinic, the woman at the front desk explained that there’s a fund for people in my position, and that the procedure would be free. Hearing this made me cry in the waiting room. My boyfriend and I had the money scraped together to pay for the procedure, but were going to have to figure out how to feed ourselves the following week until our next paychecks hit. Not having to pay for the procedure made all the difference in the world, and improved my outlook of the experience dramatically. I was scared, and Kim was so kind and understanding. The procedure was not unbearable but I was in a bit of discomfort - they coached me through it and assured me I was doing a great job while I wiggled my toes, cried, and strangled a stress ball. Cassie was right beside me for comfort as well. I was in and out of the clinic in 45 minutes, with the procedure itself only lasting about 3-5 minutes. I even felt well enough after the appointment to see some sights in the city same-day. The entire experience was just so, so, kind and warm. I entered the clinic scared out of my mind, shaky, and sick to my stomach - I left feeling understood and relieved in more ways than one. This is a long review, but I really cannot stress enough how grateful I am that I had the Carafem team with me during what felt like a pivotal moment of my life. Thank you, Kim and Cassie. So, so much.

I would highly recommend this place to any of my friends. These women working here truly care for the patients coming in the clinic. They turned my difficult situation into a warm, welcoming, caring experience. The NP was amazing by the way so sweet and answered all my questions. I was very nervous and anxious and they treated me with so much respect and care. I just want to thank the 2 doctors and the NP for making my experience great today. I felt safe and in good hands. Thanks again so much guys.

Thank you so much! I needed an emergency contraceptive IUD, and I was able to be seen on very short notice. I was super nervous going into my appointment, and had a little freakout before the procedure even began, but the staff was great & super supportive! (Thank you Cassie & Sarah) The IUD placement was quick with no complications

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Cassie and Kimberly along with the front desk lady (sorry don’t know her name):) are extremely nice people. Since the moment you walk in, they make you feel safe and not judged at all! Would recommend

I visited this place Saturday August 27,2022 at 9am. It was a comfortable and pleasing experience. Especially with everything going on in the world now. I had traveled over 700 miles just for this location and I’m so glad I did. The nurse who helped me with the process was extremely nice and the lady at the front desk with the blond hair was nice as well. I didn’t get any of their names but thanks again carafem. :)

Be aware that the only medication at this location is Advil, Tylenol, and local anesthesia. I called ahead of time and someone who works for Carafam’s answering service confirmed they had additional medications like for anxiety. Upon arrival I was assured people often do very well with the procedure and no further pain, anxiety (etc) management is needed. However, everyone is different and the procedure was almost intolerable for me personally. If I had been prompted more thoroughly, maybe given more information of the options out there, I would have quite honestly left and found a location that provided sedation medication. I feel that if my questions about needing further assistance was taken seriously, I could have made better decisions for myself. Besides above everyone was so polite and tried their best to make me comfortable.Edit: I was told there was no anti anxiety medication that can be provided when I arrived to my appointment. And I now received a response under this review stating that it is in fact available?? Not sure if I was just denied additional assistance in that case.

My regular OB did not have any openings, so i went here a few months ago. making an appointment here was simple and quick- someone responds quickly and they are flexible with scheduling- but i had a very poor experience with them! i scheduled a nexplanon removal appointment. i was asked to fill out some paperwork and pay a fee for my implant to be removed. on the day of my appointment, i had to wait more than 40 minutes to be seen. i was brought back by the doctor who was there that day, and i explained why i wanted it out—i was experiencing a lot of problems with it and needed my body to recover. it was so odd to me how she kept encouraging me to do an alternative implant/birth control, she informed me that a lot of people would have them removed and then come back because of unplanned pregnancies, and she said, ha! I told you so!, which was so unprofessional. after about 20 minutes, she told me that my implant was too deep, that i was bleeding heavily, and that i was swollen from the anesthetic since she had to give me more for my comfort. she then informed me that i needed to reschedule for another day because they no longer had time and that it was the end of the day and that i was her last patient— i couldnt even check out because the person in front had already left. the doctor then made a comment that everyone has to go home at one point she then asked me to call back to reschedule, which I repeatedly tried to do but no one ever called me back. finally made the right choice to just schedule with my regular doctor, and it was removed within 5-10 minutes, according to my OB, it was not that deep and the incision was not even near to where my implant was! i wish they were more patient with their patients and considerate of everyones time- i waited a long time for my appointment yet felt rushed to get out! overall, i had such a negative experience, which was unexpected given all of the positive reviews i had read about them. i attempted to call them many times to communicate my concerns and asked for a refund as well since my removal was unsuccessful and no one ever called me back!

I have been to planned parenthood before for the same procedure and I won’t knock them but I do have to say this place is the most welcoming. It was decorated very warmly, and the staff was so nice and explained everything to me. I felt welcomed and safe the second I walked in. Although the procedure itself was uncomfortable, I felt comfortable with the doctor and nurses. I also was in and out under an hour. Versus other places, you are there what seems like all day. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and I’m glad I came here. The reviews speak for themselves.

I would like to give a SPECIAL thank you to Dr. Kimberly Remski & her assistant Cassie . Today I had a surgical procedure and they took very good care of me . They made me feel extremely comfortable before & during the procedure & Dr. Remski was also very informative of what I should expect before & after my procedure . The clinic was also very nice & clean .

Words cant describe how amazing the staff was. they made me feel completely safe and heard. i was actually a bit sad to leave them lol, but i still appreciate not waiting long hours. thank you for everything again!

Amazing place I felt so comfortable and relaxed during my whole appointment. they definitely do a good job on making you feel safe n understood. Definitely would recommend this to any person taking the route of a medical abortion !

Very professional.Easy process, came in from another city with a flight scheduled for that afternoon. I was in and out in under an hour. The receptionist( can’t remember name) was a big help along with Dr. Remski. I will be referring others. Thanks for making the process so easy.

I had an appointment around the end of January and Im just now getting around to reviewing but my experience here went so well. From the receptionist to the doctor and nurse, everyone was very kind, informative, and willing to answer any questions. This was never an experience I thought I would go through, but things happen, and Im so glad there is a place like Carafem for women to turn to. I just finished my first cycle after my procedure and everything seems to be back to normal with no complications. Thank you for kindness, Carafem!

The staff at this location are very professional and thorough. I recommend them to any other woman that come to me for recommendation. My visit was during the COVID-19 pandemic in August of 2020. The clinic was very clean and had hand sanitizer in every room. Everyone was wearing masks and no guests were to allowed to come with. While I was nervous going alone the staff was very caring and accommodating to my needs like holding my hand and talking me through everything

As soon as you walk in you feel so welcomed everyone was so nice and understanding. they answer all your questions even if they are silly, it an amazing place. So glad my sister found this place for me.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I had a failed abortion. It didn’t work I got very sick and fainted and I called them to see if they would see me because I needed a d&c and the nurse says “ just call if you have any other concerns”!!! I called them to try and fix this and they didn’t care I had to go through so much to get my regular OB to just see me.

I had an incredible experience here. They were so kind to me the entire process. Couldnt have been more supportive. My only complaint was that there is not general anesthesia which as they explained has its own draw backs like spending the whole day in the office. It was very physically painful and I almost asked them to stop in the middle. They held my hand, they touched my shoulder, they couldnt have been more amazing to me.

If I could give this center 10 stars I would. I searched for a good week for clinic to go to regarding my situation. I really didn’t know what to expect, I was so scared and nervous. The staff were so sweet and explained everything so well to me. I also appreciated the little care package they sent home with me as well!This just reminds me of how strong women are and how much we need to look out for one another, especially during tough times such as this. The experience that I had at Carafem in Skokie, IL will be one that I will never forget. From the time that I walked in the door I was treated with nothing but the upmost respect and kindness. I dont know the name of the lady working at the front desk on Nov 21st, 2020 but she was absolutely phenomenal and treated me amazing. She was so warm, kind, and welcoming and instantly made you feel welcomed and comfortable. She was wonderful.Kim, was the absolute best provider I have ever encountered in my entire life. I have never, had a healthcare provider like her and if I had it my way she would be my doctor forever. I truly could not have been blessed with a better provider and person on my team to help me today. After 1 visit, I can honestly say she is one of the most amazing women I have ever met and she truly changed my life just off of her personality and how caring, compassionate, and supportive she was. She will never truly know or understand how deeply she made an impact on myself and my life after today. I will carry that with me forever and will never forget how amazing she was towards me and how helpful she was. She has a beautiful heart and is truly the most top notch provider you could ever ask for. I will be forever thankful for finding this business and for choosing it for my healthcare. One of the best decisions Ive ever made. I would highly, highly, highly recommend this clinic to anyone and everyone. I didnt know what to expect from these types if places because this was my first time at one. To my surprise everyone was very nice and made you feel comfortable. There was a tall woman who checked me in. She was pleasant. The doctor made sure everything was clearly explained and answered any questions I had. The place it self was very comfortable to. The Carafem team is highly professional, knowledgeable, and caring. I was nervous to come in, but my fears quickly disappeared when I realized that this was not going to be a normal clinical visit. The team truly cares about their patients, and you can feel their passion for providing these necessary (but frustratingly controversial) services. It felt like everyone there was in support of the Carafem mission, and I appreciated their commitment to womens health on a deep level. Women can spend a lifetime going to conventional OBGYNs and never feel like theyre being listened to, Carafem makes you feel deeply seen and heard. Highly recommend to anyone in need of supportive womens health services.

The team at Carafem Chicago are sensitive to the needs of their patients and seem so much more supportive and passionate about what they do compared to staff at other clinics in the area. Beyond that, the cleanliness of the facilities and even how bright, inviting, and colorful their office is, makes it very easy for me to recommend this clinic over the often depressing environments women are often faced with.

Honestly the greatest! Traveled from different state and was running late and they still worked with me to take me in. I was supper nervous but once walking in felt so welcomed, everyone had great vibes, and answered all my questions and great discount definitely recommend!!!

From my daughter’s experience here she was completely devastated by the way the lady at the front desk treated her . she was completely ignorant from the jump. not a warm welcoming lady from what my daughter explained . these places you would think they want a positive environment but she made her experience complete hell.

Words will not do this justice. The people in this place are angels who actually care about you and care about what they do. The experience I had was exceptional. Felt like a family member whos main concern was my health and my understanding.

They Cancelled the appointment without any intimation. I had already submitted the required documents ahead of time for a video call appointment. When I called them an hour before the appointment time to enquire about the link for a video appointment, I came to know that appointment was cancelled without notice.

I’ve heard great things about this place. And only great things. If you are in need of their services, don’t hesitate to reach out. They take Medicaid and they’ll do telehealth for home delivery, that part isn’t free, but it’s not 1,000’ s of dollars.

Everyone was welcoming and accommodating. Scheduling an appointment was easy, the clinic was clean and the staff were very professional.
