Dr. Shearer is by far the most amazing doctor Ive ever had. He listens, remembers, and always does his best to ensure I am well taken care of. I saw a negative review just now and felt compelled to tell the truth. Obviously that person had a personal problem as none of what was said about the clinic, the wait time, or Dr. Shearers staff is accurate.They are all professionals, the clinic is clean, and Ive never, in the year Ive been seeing them, had to wait longer than 30 minutes.Dr. Shearer is super knowledgeable, and never hesitates to explain things to me in full. I truly enjoy my visits to his office, and that says a lot. I will never change doctors as long as this man is practicing!

I have been seeing Dr shearer for almost 3 years. My husband also sees him. His office staff knows my children by name. They are all amazing and so loving and kind. We love our pathway family!

Super cool guy! He truly cares about his patients! His staff Cara and her daughter are some of the best people ever! They are super friendly and sweet. Always goes outta their way to help you. Also got a new Nurse that is super cute Mrs Austin! Just a great place that doesn’t look down on you, believes in you, and makes you feel like family. Always glad to cut up with Cara (sp?) and Christian when I come in. If you need help and want it without being looked down on for your problem...then this is the place for you! Thank you Dr. Shearer and Staff.. you guys rock!

This doctor is BY FAR the BEST I have ever gone to! I have been seeing him for a few years now in between relapse and i have always felt comfortable talking to him and ANYTHING! I have been to MANY doctors that specialize in addiction. I started seeing the doctors when I was about 19. Some of the places were horrible. Some were so filthy I didnt even want to leave my trash in their trashcans. Most of the doctors would just talk and never listen. I never stayed at the same doctor office for over six months bc I was very unhappy with the circumstances. I have been going to Dr. Shearer for a little over 2 and a half years now and I truly feel like all of the people that work there are family. I find myself trying to be the best person I can be bc of my daughter and I truly want Dr. Shearer to be happy with the choices I am making on a daily basis. Believe me, I have seen and experienced almost all there is when it comes to doctors and their treatment programs and this is the place to go, and stay to work towards being the best you that you possibly can. I dont know where I would be without this team.

Dr. Robert A Shearer is the best doctor I have ever been to in all my 27 years of seeing him! He is the nicest person I have ever met. And takes the time to explain everything to you if you dont understand whats going on. And I wish I had seen him today because he wouldnt have told me that No Mrs Broadway your not pregnant your just fat!! And North Crest medical center was wrong about saying ( It has been determined you are pregnant) and your Not 13weeks! Because that man Cares about you and your feelings. And if he couldnt get the answers you need he will find you someone who could! Unlike the doctor I seen today!! So Thank you Dr. Shearer

This man was an amazing OB/GYN. I began seeing Dr. Shearer when i was pregnant at a very young age. He never once treated me like i was just some dumb kid or a statistic . He was always vey respectful and easy to get along with and always made the office visit comfortable. He would listen to your questions/concerns and never rushed. He has an impeccable memory and would tell all his nurses about my labor and delivery like it was yesterday (it was 13 years ago). I was very saddened when I learned he no longer did these services and that i would have to find another doctor. I have even said that if Dr. Shearer quit practicing then i was done having kids if he could not deliver. I would have highly recommended Dr. Shearer to anyone and felt 100% comfortable doing so. I hate that he is no longer practicing OB/GYN and i dont think i will ever find a doctor as good as him.

My fiancé has been going to him for a while now and every time she goes, he puts her down so bad. She always leaves with tears in her eyes. He tells her that she doesn’t need to come off her medicine because it will cause a lot of problems but now he won’t prescribe them. Shes worse now than she was when she started seeing him. And it’s only getting worse. We both think he needs to be stripped of his doctorate And put out of business. Other people go there and fail drug tests and still get prescribed drugs. My fiancé needs a good doctor and dr shearer is the worst one she’s ever been to. If the DEA was notified about this, he would be in prison. And he should be.

The staff was great ppl an treated me good! They welcomed me with open arms an didnt judge cause I was an addict. The Dr. was always nice, an caring also at times... My only problem was he put me on Bunival, cause my insurance covered that. After 2 weeks taking it I told him my concerns an side affects from the medicine. I asked him to change my meds cause of my concerns an side affects. That I cud pay for the other meds. He basically told me if I wanted a different kind of medicine to find a new Dr cause obviously if I can pay for the script then I can pay for the new Dr. Only thing is TennCare only pays up to 6months of the full script(56 or 58 monthly, depends on how many weeks in a month) of bunival. After that they pay for only one a day,(30 a month) ur left with paying for the other 26 or 28. Which cost u around $141.00 a month (Depends on where u go). Not to many Drs take my insurance thats why I choose him to help me get clean an stay clean. He also said (this was the 2nd excuse) he wouldnt change my meds cause it was easier to sell the other choices as in suboxone, then Bunival. He also said (3rd excuse) he doesnt prescribe anything, but Bunival. Thats a lie cause I talk to other patients an also seen what packages there meds were (U always had to bring ur package/packages) in. First of all Im an addict, Im not trying to sell anything, Im trying to get clean an stay clean. Why wud I sell it when I need it. Yes I do get it probably some patients wud come to get the meds to abuse.Not all ppl are the same. Some are serious bout getting clean an some are not! So I continued the bunival for 8months an stayed going to his office. Until 2 weeks ago, I found a new Dr, THANK GOD!!! He also takes my insurance. He rates bunival a D- to give to an addict to start off with. Maybe to tapper off of suboxone or after having a couple yrs clean an sober but not to use when someone is first trying to get clean an sober. The biggest blessing is, after tests where done results side affects I was having from meds was an allergic reaction I was having to Bunival. Dr. Shearer office never checked my blood pressure or did anything to check further into the issue. Also my new Drs office they have therapist that see u every visit. They ask questions, (doesnt judge either) help u set goals, teach u new ways to deal with ur trauma or depression, or whatever it is that got u using in the first place. They have group meetings every week, (not mandatory but courage u to come) an one on one family counseling! I love my new Dr, he is the best!! Im serious bout my clean an sober sobriety!!! I want it badly an Im gonna succed!!!

At first I thought he was an awesome Dr I thought he really cared about his patients then I seen a couple of ladies come out crying at times and one day I failed a drug screen Im not perfect but he is suppose to be an addiction Dr but told me I cant have my meds to come back in a month and I told him sorry and I have been going through alot and hes said so is he well he also told me this was my punishment no meds for a month and I better be careful its alot of fake pills out there killing people and told me to leave. Smh I never thought a Dr could be so mean. Im not perfect but I didnt deserve to be treated that way. Well now after a month I was told that I have been discharged and if I want to come back I have 15 ppl ahead of me.on a waiting list. I never got a discharge letter and he should have told me that he said I could come back in a month this isnt right. I should have got meds for a month and a discharge letter I made a mistake yes but I should have not been treated the way I was. Its not ok for a Dr to take out his bad day on someone else. Nobody is perfect but that was way wrong and now I have to find another Dr if I was rd that at my appt that I was being discharged I could have been looking for another Dr. I came to far and yes I made a mistake I should have been up front and honest but the way I got done was not right. He is suppose to be a Godly man and I have never had a Dr do me this way. It was like everything I was saying was a lie thats how he was making it seem. So if I were you I would go somewhere else. I will continue to pray for him and for myself but how he treated me was not right!!

I was going to Dr. Shearer for about 2yrs. Ive had my ups and downs with addiction, him and his staff was with me the whole way. Encouraging but not sugar coating anything. Im clean now. Its been 10 months. I couldnt have done it without the help of his staff and him. I felt a part of a family that I nvr had. Having a healthy baby boy in sept. Thanks to them.

Dr sheared is one of the best doctors. I have been going over 3/4 months and have not relapsed once. I want to do good for myself but also he believed in me

Rusty Shackleford you otta research stats and see how many doctors go a whole career without any malpratice cases before sounding and then showing your ignorance. However, it is always entertaining to see extremely low IQs try to make statements that sound somewhat decent, but in reality they almost always show they came from a mouth with no brain. Worry about paying your bill before trying to talk ish. I wanted turn you to collections, but pops wouldnt. If Would have been my decision you would had had reason then for bad mouthing cause collections would have become annoying since skipped on Bill......

This man/Doctor saved my life.!❤️ I made a decision to call and make an appointment but they couldn’t get me in til the following month so I personally emailed Dr.Shearer and he emailed me within 10 minutes and told me not to wait and to come in the next day! I will forever be grateful and thankful for him.!

Let’s see I’ll start out as I’m 39 years old and have been battling with pain pills since 2004 never new much about em and when I had my major back surgery that year my lst dr visit to a dr I walked out with 120 roxy 120 tab tens 120 Xanax bars and 120 soma really enough to kill me write there cuz I’m only 4 foot 1 and was 95 pounds! But I was in pain and so that’s when it started! So I lost it all in them ten years family a lot of money friends homes ! But the day I decided yeah I decided it was time I went to Dr. Shearer and I have to say it’s been 2 years and I’ve never seen a side of him that a few people are saying they seen! They are like my family and they don’t have to help we chose wether to go to him or not so if u go to him and u lie like a lot of u do then of course he has to do something cuz if your lying then maybe u shouldn’t be going cuz u don’t want help! I don’t have to lie to them and never will if I am goin to fail a test they will no anyways so mine as well b honest about it! Anyways I’ve had a tough road but I no if I wouldn’t of stayed with this place I wouldn’t of made it this far! Y’all even went as far as taking his license are u kidding me!

Best addiction recovery Dr around! Love Doc and the staff. Id recommend him to anyone looking to get their lives back from the nightmare of opiate abuse.

Clinic is dirty. Wait time is inconsistent. Very unprofessional and uncomfortable. I actually walked out of my appointment Dr. Shearer was so rude to me. Go somewhere else if you want a good dr.

VERY understanding doctor. He does NOT treat addicts poorly! Kind and loving doctor. You will never feel judged going to him.
