Holistic Family Medicine

I absolutely love this office. Dr G has been my doctor for over 7 years and has always taken his time to care for my needs. Recently I saw Anne Marie, Wendy and Dr John and all of them have spent time listening to the body issues as a whole. I feel important and heard here and they always try natural healing first. I am so grateful for this office.

This office and their providers do not reply in a timely manner via their patient portal; 8 days ago my husband sent them a message asking Wendy to clarify some stuff about his recent blood work results, still no reply. He has tried calling and they dont answer or return their patients phone calls.EDIT to reply to owners response: My husband called multiple times and finally someone answered. He told the front desk office why he was calling and was told wendy was not in the office, but said wendy would be back the following day and shed take care of it He not only left a detailed message via voicemail when no one answered, but actually let the front desk know exactly why he was calling when they finally did answer, and still wendy never called her patient back. If this small clinic is not equipped to take on anymore patients and give proper care then it would be best to not accept them and their insurance in the first place. For reference his first appt with this clinic was in february.

I love that Holistic Family Medicine is an integrated medical office. I can see Dr. Gutierrez for primary care, Dr. John for chiropractic work, all under the same roof. They communicate about my health and work together to help create the best plan for me. They have helped me find more natural supplements for my health and helped remove unnecessary medications. I love that this practice is small. They know me by name and I am not just another number coming through the door. I feel like a valued partner in my health decisions and that my voice is heard. Thank you HFM!

I have been searching for a new primary care Dr. My naturopath recommended Dr. Gutierrez. From the very beginning it was very easy to set up a New Patient appointment. No long waits and simple instructions to make my appointment. I was welcomed by the staff when I came in for my first appointment. Wasn’t like your traditional office. I felt heard and my concerns were addressed by Dr. Gutierrez. I am so glad to have him part of my healthcare team. I especially like his viewpoint on diet and also exercise.

I have been seeing Dr. Gutierrez as my PCP for a few years now, and I feel like this is probably one of the best patient/Dr. relationships one could establish. He is caring, experienced, supportive, and relatable.I would give more stars if I could.

Dr. Gutierrez really listened to me. When I talked about what I needed to address. Always has the best natural advise before we discuss medicine. Now they are offering more services so I will be looking into them as well. If you can get in then I would highly recommend you come here.

Dr Gutierrez is a thorough and caring doctor. He never seems to be super hurried and takes time to address all my concerns. I have found him to be very accessible when I need care. Highly recommend!

As a larger person, I have had my fair share of discrimination and bias from doctors who focus on my weight. I do not get that from the doctors at Holistic Family Medicine. The care about me, as a person, and how they can help me be the happiest and healthiest I can be without focusing on my weight first. Its a breath of fresh air to be seen and heard.

I have been seeing Dr Gutierrez, DO now for several years and I have really appreciated the care I have received from him. Now he has expanded his practice and has invited in some great new practitioners. Recently I have been seeing Cierra Hibbs-Porter-Rogge, Nurse Practitioner and have been enjoying her laughter and bright positive attitude. She always makes me feel special and gives generously of her time and listens well to what I am trying to communicate. I recommend this practice highly!

I am a 45yo, female who has now met with Dr. Gutierrez on two occasions after my prior PCP became unavailable. Dr. Gutierrez is warm, welcoming, patient, collaborative, and non-patriarchal in his approach. Of note, I am also in the healthcare field (mental health), and have observed in both my personal and professional experience that women often receive biased responses from physicians based on gender (research supports this). None of this occurred during my interactions with Dr. Gutierrez or the medical students present during both visits (for which I gave my consent). I felt very comfortable and welcomed immediately upon my arrival to both visits. His approach is professional, research-informed, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. Highly recommend.

First day meeting Dr. Gutierrez and staff and they were so polite and very welcoming. I love that their practice is small intimate. Dr. Gutierrez really gets down to the bottom of your issue(s) to ensure you’re back to your normal self!

I switched to Dr Gutierrez because he is an endurance athlete and understood the needs and peculiarities of being an endurance athlete.

Wendy is very attentive and listens and very supportive and encouraging! I am really glad to have found her and the clinic.

I have tried to reach the office for the last 2 weeks to get some test results that they keep texting me about. No answer and not even a machine to leave a message. The portals is not working for me. Now I feel like its going to be a struggle to get all my blood work transferred to my new PCP. I have been seen several times and feel like nothing has been resolved for me and I have stayed because his assistant is very nice and spends time talking with me. I have never really been given an exam so I just needed to switch to a doctor who can help me get to the bottom of the problems I have been having.

Dr Gutierrez is a great doctor. He is thorough and he listens very well. He has offered alternative remedies when Ive wanted them. I am very pleased with him. However, he has no staff besides his wife, who works as his receptionist/scheduler/biller. Since my first phone call, she has been unpleasant. She is quite frankly, rude. I would have never gone back, but Dr G is exceptional. I am now reconsidering this option. I dread every phone call with her. Shes degrading and condescending. If she were not his wife, I am positive that she would have been fired. Her behavior is simply unacceptable. Its unfortunate that he can not see that, as she is singlehandedly sabotaging his career.

Doctor Gutierez is a great doctor who cares about his patients and takes time with them. Thats why weve driven the long drive to see them.The problem is with how his practice is run. He relies entirely on his wife to run the entire operation. Therefore she is more than happy to get rid of patients over trivial matters. They dismissed us over an initial bill for co-pay of only $15. Yes they did send notices by email, but they got lost in my spam filters. They of course dont tell you theyre going to dismiss you by any other means of communication. God forbid they pick up the phone and say hey, cough up that enormous $15 bill you owe us or youre out. It would be too much effort for her to give a damn and try to work it out. I even called to try to reach her to to address all of the fees they added on for them doing nothing. No, instead they send a certified letter. What a personal touch. We even made sure our new insurance covered them. I guess they can lose out on all that money, because, hey $15 is worth 3 coffees.So good luck finding a decent doctor in Eugene. Theres just no winning in this god-forsaken city when it comes to decent medical care.

Dr. Guiterrez is a very attentive, professional, and yet compassionate man. My wife and I have both seen him for the past year and have been very impressed by how much time he spends with us during our appointments -and how thorough and helpful his advice and remedies are to improving our health! A very personable man who is like a friend as well as a doctor. I have been a patient since at least 2016. Try the osteomanipulation!

Had an appt for our teen son with Aspergers. Dr. had no resources, but kindly looked them up for us. The appt was quite extensive and went very well. His philosophy and approach are just what we were looking for. When I attempted to contact them to switch the rest of the family to his care, I was told curtly that he will not be working with your family. Good luck finding another Dr. My emails and calls were ignored for several weeks until I called from a new #. I was told again the Dr. was not interested in having my family as patients. When I asked for an explanation in honest confusion, his wife/assistant actually hung up on me! I have never met with such unsolicited rudeness in my life and am left feeling it is their response to working with individuals with Aspergers. We have excellent insurance coverage that he accepts, my children are older, active and interested participants in their health, polite and well-behaved, and I made many attempts to inquire if I had misunderstood something. I would expect to be treated this way if we had done something offensive, but we did not.We are new to the area and the resources and acceptance toward neurodiversity and the friendliness everywhere have been amazing. To have received our first taste of discrimination and rudeness at the hands of a healer who blogs about love and attends church with our close friends and neighbors makes this all the more shocking and hurtful. I will be sharing my experience accordingly.

Dr. Gutierrez is the best doctor I have ever had. He treats his patients as peers working in partnership with him. He and Pamela make an excellent team!

Amazing physician. Takes his time with his patients and listens intently. He even took the time to send me a study applicable to my situation. Dr. Gutierrez stays current with research and brings all this knowledge to his practice. Highly recommend!!!

Hes been my doctor for a little bit now. Him and his wife are 2 amazing people. I appreciate that he takes the time to get to know you, and really hears what youre saying. Not just cramming pills down your throat to get you gone and on to the next. Very professional Id recommend him to anyone.
