Sonia Rebeles, MD

Following a failed IVF transfer, my fertility specialist referred me to Dr. Rebeles for the removal of a submucosal fibroid, but I conducted independent research and visited two other surgeons to make my decision. Once I met Dr. Rebeles, I knew shed be the right surgeon for me. She is very thorough, knowledgeable, and a great listener, and I have never felt rushed. She always answered all my questions and comforted me, no matter how silly my questions were. She is very sensitive, skilled, and sincere, and she has such great bedside manners.She performed laparoscopic myomectomy minimally invasive surgery with robotic assistant, and provided a very detailed post-surgery report, a level of detail I have never received from a surgeon for any of my previous surgeries. Additionally, she identified and removed endometrioses. I healed very quickly, and I resumed normal activities only 2 days after surgery, with minimal almost non-visible small 3 scares.Before my second transfer, my fertility specialist performed a hysteroscopy to ensure there was no scar tissue present (Something I was very scared of, due to the location of my fibroid), and my fertility Dr said uterus looks great, cleared me for the transfer.Today, I received a phone call from my fertility clinic, who confirmed that my second transfer after the surgery worked and that Im currently pregnant. Ill be 43 years old this November.Also, Maribel, the coordinator, is very friendly and efficient. Dr. Rebeles is one of the best doctors I have ever had! She is patient, understanding, and an amazing active listener. She genuinely cares and makes you feel like the most important appointment of the day. Her entire team is friendly, compassionate and professional from the moment you walk in the door. I can’t recommend Dr. Rebeles and her team enough!!

The only Dr I as well as, my 16 year old daughter was comfortable with . She is so compassionate and thorough with her patients. Her office staff is incredible and nice. I cannot remember a better Dr in ALLpractices of medicine.

Dr. Rebeles is the best physician I have ever met. She is non-dismissive, non-judgemental, and extremely caring and knowledgeable. Her staff hit above par in the kindness and attentiveness categories, and they pay attention to the details. I have developed personal relationships with each of them and I wouldn’t trust my care to anyone else.

This review is overdue. Dr Rebeles is the best doctor I have ever had…and I have had a lot. She is kind, compassionate, never makes you feel hurried and answers every question, but most importantly she knows her stuff. I was undiagnosed for 14 years! Yes you read that right 14 years of having doctor after doctor find “nothing wrong” and either dismiss me or pass me on to someone new. I was in daily pain and knew something was not right. Dr Rebeles listened and believed me and got to the bottom of it. She was able to correctly diagnose me (pathology confirmed). I can’t even put into words how grateful I am for her. Healthcare would be much better if all doctors were like Dr. Rebeles. Her staff is also amazing. They go above and beyond. I usually dread calling the doctor but they make it so easy and are incredibly kind and helpful!

Dr. Rebeles is one of the best gynecologist I have ever had. She is professional and caring. I was told by another gynecologist that I was going to need my entire uterus taken out but thankfully I got a second opinion with dr. Rebeles and that was not the case at all. Needless to say I have all my organs and I am healthy. She is the best.

Beware! Unethical, poor patient care, canceling surgery hours before, name calling, inexperienced, poor bedside manner, and a complete lack of accountability…this is what receiving care from Sonia Rebeles looks like.I don’t not usually write reviews, but in the case of Sonia Rebeles, I feel compelled to share the nightmare that was being under her care so you can avoid having the same experience. In fact, I am one of many patients who has had to report Sonia Rebeles and her unethical medical practices to ACOG.I was originally drawn to Sonia’s practice by her modern and aesthetically pleasing website. But don’t be fooled, her paid marketing and branding team have done a great job but this site does not reflect the reality of receiving care at this office.After being diagnosed with an ovarian cyst, which needed urgent surgically removal, I scheduled a consultation with Sonia Rebeles. She confirmed the issue and scheduled me for surgery. In hindsight, I should have paid more attention to Sonia’s cold and calculating demeanor at this appointment as it certainly foreshadowed her behavior to come.Sonia rescheduled my surgery 3 separate times. When asked why this was necessary, she said “because I don’t feel like doing your surgery in the morning and because I’m the physician it’s up to me when I decide to do the procedure.”Reluctantly, I accommodated Sonia’s unreasonable requests, but in the end, Sonia canceled my surgery the morning of, only hours before, with no explanation, accountability, or remorse. I had already driven over an hour to the medical facility, fasted for the 12 hours before to prepare for anesthesia, and was waiting in the waiting room when Sonia called to cancel. Not only is this extremely unethical, but shows zero regard for her patients time.Since Sonia is unable to provide quality patient care or even the minimal level of bedside manner, I made the decision to look elsewhere for care. Luckily, my PCP put me in touch with a phenomenal surgeon at Cedars Sinai who was able to perform the surgery flawlessly with zero complications. With many other surgeons who are more experienced than Sonia, I highly recommend choosing someone who will respect you as a patient and treat you with the kindness and compassion you deserve from a physician.I make sure to tell all of my friends and family to avoid this office, and I urge you to stay away at all costs as well.

Im a young female in my mid/late twenties, and this was my first experience with an OB/GYN (had previously only been to a general practitioner). Dr. Rebeles was a very sweet, knowledgeable, and very informative. The staff was wonderful, too! Highly recommend!

Dr. Rebeles has been a great help to my mother. Aside from being professional, she is also warm and informative. My mother spent a year trying to find a diagnosis for her problem and no other doctor was able to help her or at the very least refer her to a specialist. Within 3 months Dr. Rebeles was able to diagnose and treat her and now my mother is on her way recovery. We are very thankful to her.

Dr.Rebeles is very informative, she listens to your concerns and offers solutions or provides options. She does not rush you through the appointment. She has performed surgery on me once and everything was a success. I highly recommend her. I wish I would have found her sooner. The front office staff is kind and very helpful. All around amazing staff!

Im a gynecologic cancer specialist in the Torrance community who has worked closely on several surgeries with Dr. Rebeles. She is an excellent surgeon, especially within robotic surgery, and a tireless patient advocate who really puts all of herself into caring for her patients and for promoting their well-being. If you go to Dr. Rebeles, I promise you that you will be in good hands...I would send my own female family members to her.

Today was my first visit with Dr. Rebeles and I am so pleased to have found such a great female gynecologist. She gave me important information on womens health, was thorough in making sure all of my preventive care was up-to-date, and truly took her time in listening to me and answering any questions/concerns I may have had. If you are looking for a great Gyn who will provide you with excellent care, go see her!

Cannot recommend enough. Never before have I felt so listened to by a doctor. She really cares about her patients and sees them all as individuals and people and not as case files. Also, she really knows her field. For the first time I feel like my concerns are really being addressed and I am getting real lasting and effective treatment.
