I was very pleased coming here. They signed me up very quickly for a income based thing and I only paid like $22 to get my birth control taken out. They took it out very fast and was very professional. I was in and out very happy and would recommend this place

Went there for a standard blood / urine test. Chose Planned Parenthood because I support them politically, and because at check-in they ran my insurance and assured me that everything was covered as long as I paid a $20 co-pay. However, despite me repeatedly telling them to only contact me by phone or email, they started sending letters and confidential test results to my parents address! Which led to plenty of awkward conversations. Not only that, I received (or my parents received) a $200 bill in the mail, which they claimed they could do nothing about. Definitely would not go to Planned Parenthood again; next time Ill just choose a regular urgent care or another clinic.

Cake here to get my nexplanon implant swapped for a new one. It was the ONLY place in town that didnt make me do a pelvic exam. Everyone else wanted to charge me for an extra visit before they would prescribe me the same method of birth control that Ive been happy with for 4 years, but Planned Parenthood said no problem, well get you a new one, and they were awesome! Kind and hassle free. When I got to the appointment, it cost me EXACTLY the price they quoted me on the phone, so surprises. Then, the doctor that did the procedure for me was AMAZING. She was patient with me, and she was super professional. I told her I was nervous for my first removal, and she took extra care to keep me distracted by talking to me, and that really made the time go by faster. I never felt any pain the whole time!Seriously, this was THE BEST experience I have ever had in a doctors office before ever. Highly reccomend them. They took great care of me, hassle free, and super transparent. If I ever need anything else, I will definitely return here.

This is a waste of time! Staff who are rude and dont seem to care about your problems. Im a nurse who takes great pride in my work, and I can assure you that these people dont care about anyone except themselves. Services are poor. To sit in the front and do nothing, it takes three girls. The quality of PP services has deteriorated to the point where they are no longer useful. Get a doctor, not a careless nurse practitioner from here!

I support PPs mission and have donated to them in the past. However, I had a bad experience at the Tyler clinic in January of 2015.I went in for the regular annual womens exam (pap smear, etc.) and also had a female-related medical issue that needed to be addressed. The nurse took me to the exam room and I explained why I was there, but I never got to see the doctor. The nurse would talk to me, then leave and talk to the doctor, then come back and relay what the doctor had said.First the doctor claimed she couldnt help me or even examine me and that I needed to go somewhere else. (Huh?) Then she changed her mind and said shed give me the annual exam but would specifically ignore my other medical issue. (What??) Then she changed her mind AGAIN and refused to give me the exam or even talk to me in person. The reason the doctor kept citing (via the nurse) was This is Planned Parenthood protocol.I went to a different gynecologist in Tyler and he took care of my issue. The tests and treatment he ordered are specifically listed on Planned Parenthood of Tylers website as being services they offer!Ive never had a doctor refuse to even look or talk to me before. I know I wasnt disrupting her schedule or anything like that--I had an appointment (and showed up early.)The ONLY thing I can think of is that at the time my insurance hadnt kicked in yet and I told the nurse upfront I would be paying out of pocket. This seemed to worry her and she kept bringing up how much it would cost. I brought my wallet to the exam and it was no financial hardship for me, but this is the only reason I can come up with for the doctor hiding from me like a scared, unprofessional brat.

I came here to get my birth control implant removed. I had the same thing done at another Planned Parenthood and had a horrible experience. Here they were very caring and understanding that I usually don’t do well with stuff like blood being drawn, implants removed, etc. The clinician was patient with me and kept me calm through the entire thing. It never hurt and I was never woozy and was able to leave right away. Great experience. Thank you

Doesnt offer HRT services despite what the website says. Youll have to go to either Paris or Dallas for that which is a huge bummer. Planned Parenthood should either update their website or actually offer the advertised service.

Im so glad a place like this exists in Tyler, TX. People think Planned Parenthood is solely an abortion center. Its not. The percentage of abortions preformed is nothing compared to the necessary womens healthcare that they provide for pennies on the dollar. Whether you are pro-life or pro-choice, you cant argue with the affordable healthcare Planned Parenthood provides that so many women in our community needs. I will continue to visit here and continue to donate for as long as I can. The staff was friendly and courteous and since I went in the morning not crowded at all. If you need any kind of womens healthcare and cant afford it, please consider Planned Parenthood. I did and Im so happy that I did.

As much as I hate going to the doctor, thanks to some really bad experiences in the past, this office made me feel at ease. The staff was kind and helpful when I came in for testing. Highly recommend!

Awful! I hate a simple head cold and to not get other mothers or patrons sick I had a mask on. They owner or manager called me back and asked me to leave and come back another day so to not get her staff infected! I was very hurt and embarrassed. Especially when I was just looking out for others. I will never go here again. Very rude!

My partner called to check for HRT services, as theyre listed on the Tyler locations website. He was instantly misgendered and disrespected. Even if this place gains these services, I will never walk into this building.

I like that women in east Texas can have access to things like cancer screenings and other health concerns. Less than 5% of what PP offers is abortion and they actually are trying to prevent unwanted pregnancies and abortions. So why would you want to defund it?
