M. Gerard Jackson, MD, FACOG

I had the privilege of having Dr. Jackson as my surgeon, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. I experienced a very rare post-operative complication, but throughout the entire process, I always knew I was in the best hands. Dr. Jackson’s constant communication and his ability to explain everything clearly and in a way I could understand provided immense comfort during a challenging time. His excellent care not only reassured me but also helped me stay grounded, even in difficult moments. His bedside manner is exceptional—compassionate, attentive, and patient. If all surgeons were as dedicated and caring as Dr. Jackson, the medical world would be a much better place. I am truly grateful for his skill, professionalism, and empathy.

EXCELLENT! Dr. Jackson went above and beyond to care for my family member when she had to go to the ER. He came in even though he wasn’t on call and handled everything for her. Sadly, she was miscarrying at almost 18 weeks, but his bedside manner and empathy helped her through one, if not THE toughest moments of her life.

Never have I had a Doctor Who refused to speak to his patients when his staff is failing to communicate with them for three visits I have had issues because they don’t know how to verify my insurance. No call to notify you that there’s an issue so you can call your insurance yourself to fix the issue prior to your appointment they just let us sit and I have to miss work and I cannot be seen the doctor to speak to me so no I do not recommend seeing a provider who refuses to see you if he’s not getting paid after his staff screws up everything for you. And who also doesn’t care about the fact about your actual health. I’ve been in pain for about a month waiting to come to see My GYN and I continue to stay in pain now not knowing what the issue is so the only other option is for me to go in and hospital bill from the ER Because something so simple as picking up a phone and letting a patient know that there’s a problem prior to the appointment is so difficult to do and then you have a Doctor Who don’t give in the world about the amount of pain that you’re in and what you’ve been going through so no, I will not leave a good review for a doctor that has brushed me aside so easily and doesn’t care about the fact that my health is what brought me to him the pain that I’m in is what brought me to him so I’ll be looking for another doctor altogether and leaving Florida Medical because of him and his staff

Dr. Jackson is exceptional. He listens attentively, incredibly knowledgeable, excellent bedside manners, takes his time to ensure I understood the treatment. He is patience and allows for me to register the information and asked questions. I highly recommend Dr. Jackson and his team. I have energy and feel like myself again thanks to his treatment plan to address my issues.The office team is exceptional, evident from the minimal waiting times both outside and inside the exam room, showcasing superb time management skills by the office manager and their team.

Phenomenal doctor that goes above and beyond to help patients. I have been a patient of Dr Jacksons for several years now and couldnt be happier. First class staff too.

Dr. Jackson saved my life! I’ve had two c sections that I never really came back from. I had to stop competitive power lifting. I lived in constant pain and was told by all my other obgyns to exercise my core more. I was a body builder! Exercise was never my problem. When I would try to plank or do anything else core related I would go into excruciating pain like my abs were ripping apart. I wound up seeing Dr. Jackson because my obgyn was booked up and I couldn’t take the pain anymore. He sat with me for almost an hour and actually listened. He gave me all of my options in detail and we wound up going with a hysterectomy. It went so much smoother than I thought it would. He made very clear not to ask google anything and to just ask him lol. 4 weeks post op I just worked out lightly for the first time. I have ZERO pain in my lower abdomen. I’m in shock. It turned out that my uterus fused to my abdominal wall and that was causing the pain. Thank you so much Dr. Jackson!! I’m 34 and actually excited about my future with fitness for the first time in forever!!!

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Jackson and his staff. They are allAbsolutely amazing. I am terrified of having procedures done and Dr Jackson was amazing and caring and never once was annoyed at me asking the same questions over and over again. I called his staff everyday for a week with questions before my procedure and everyone there was so kind to me every time. I will recommend this OBGYN to everyone I know. It’s very refreshing to find a doctor and staff with such good hearts. Thank you all so much!

I highly recommend Florida medical clinic at Wesley chapel because they put you in their best interest. Every time I go for my ob appointment everyone is super nice and caring and take you immediately in for your appointment and don’t make you wait long. Sarah and Joann and all the midwifes are super outstanding and sweet and make your visit so easy. I’m having a planned c section and I’m so comfortable about it because they have the doctor do it and dr Jackson is super sweet and I’m not scared at all because I know I will be taken care of 100%. So excited to have my son and be the best mom I can. Thank you Dr. Jackson for making my pregnancy such an amazing journey!

Dr. Jackson is a true godsend. I don’t know where to even begin. I’ve been seeing Dr. Jackson for almost 3 years and since I began with him he was cordial, sweet, understanding, informative etc. I came to him with concerns of infertility and repetitive losses and he did everything in his power since then to come up with a solution and game plan. His staff is very well mannered and understanding as well. I finally gave birth to my healthy baby girl thanks to Dr. Jackson’s determination and guidance. I am indebted to him and his staff and couldn’t be happier to have had the pleasure of working with them. Thank you so much to all of you.

Dr.Jackson was absolutely amazing. I live in zephyrhills and did NOT want to have the baby at the local hospital or deal with their OBs. My insurance found Dr.Jackson. He had impeccable bed side manor as well as all the midwives. My personal favorite midwife was Sarah and I was lucky enough that when I ended up having a c-section with my little girl Sarah was the one there that night and Sarah held my hand while they prepped me until my husband was allowed in room. Their care made all the difference and made pregnancy and childbirth not so scary (for a first time mom). I highly recommend Dr. Jackson, the midwives, and his entire staff to anyone looking for a fantastic ob and gynecologists.

Dr. Jackson delivered two of my children and I’m glad he did. He was very accommodating. After my last child three months ago I had some complications with my uterus and Dr.Jackson handled it quickly and seemed pretty concerned for me. I had allot of questions and he took the time to answer them and make me feel like everything would be fine.I once “lost” my phone at his office and not only did he help me find it but the entire staff searched until it was found. (It was in my diaper bag!)The ultrasound tech, Jay, is so sweet and so funny.The rest of the staff was so polite and always made me feel comfortable. Debbie is a God send, I’m sure Dr. Jackson agrees.The only thing I have to say that isn’t so great is that Dr. Jackson was much friendlier 5-6 years ago. Although he is still A VERY good doctor and polite, he’s different now. I guess he just doesn’t seem as happy as he used to. I still and always will recommend him 100%!!-Sarah Strout

Dr. Jackson is amazing! He is very knowledgeable, down to earth, he takes his time explaining everything and makes you feel very comfortable. Always making sure he is addressing all questions and concerns. The office is very clean and welcoming. The entire staff is also very friendly and Jay, the lady that does the ultrasounds, is so so nice. I definitely recommend this doctor.

Dr Jackson delivered My Baby in The Most Flyest way He Had On Some Nice Shoes &’ a Nice Watch &&’ my baby was out in no time My Son Grabbed the scissors when he came out and dr Jackson was looking for them when he found the scissors in the baby hand we all laughed 😂 I’m currently pregnant if I was still in that area I’ll only let Dr.Jackson deliver my kid! He’s amazing

I transferred from Boston to this office when we moved, and was around 19 weeks. I enjoyed my intro visit and care. But we also had a very different, but positive, experience. I was having issues sleeping/breathing at night and didn’t feel my best. I listened to my body and called to be seen. When I went to my appointment with Joanie, my blood pressure was not good, we were having trouble listening to baby so we got ultra sound, I was swollen and everything was leaving an imprint on me and then Dr. Jackson came to talk too. He basically said, “you need to go to Tampa General as they have a NICU and your experiencing severe pre eclampsia.” He said it so calmly, but also reassuring me that this was serious. This saved our lives. My chest X-ray showed fluid in my lungs and they thought I was in heart failure,after some medications I lost over 10lbs of water weight, I was monitored 24/7 in Labor & Delivery and we were being prepared for an early birth & spoke to the NICU team. On top of having severe pre-eclampsia, my son was IUGR and not receiving all the nutrients he needed. Unfortunately, I didn’t even make it a week, and had our son via emergency c-section at 27 weeks to save both our lives. Thankfully we were in the best place with a major NICU. I am so thankful and trust Dr. Jackson & his practice. I truly believe he saved our lives, as well as Joanie, by being my OBGYN. He may not have been at the birth, but he got us there. There is no other office I would ever go to, I plan on having our next child with this office and hope Dr. Jackson gets to deliver this time, or a midwife. My son spent 84 days in the NICU, was born only 1lb 10oz, is now 1 years old and thriving. It was a hard and very difficult journey, but we owe it to Dr.Jackson and his entire staff for making the right decisions and saving our lives.

Top notch physician, compassionate, knowledgeable, and takes time to answer questions without rushing. You can tell he truly cares about his patients and his field of medicine. I highly recommend Dr Jackson to anyone looking for a competent and caring GYN.

Dr Jackson is a wonderful Doctor! I lived in Pennsylvania most of my life and for several years before moving to FL in 2014 I was having many issues with my monthly. I could not get a doctor to do anything about it. I was in my late 30s. When I moved to Tampa I found FMC and through them, Dr Jackson. He was the first doctor that listened and actually did something! After all the tests, the last one showed polyps in my uterus. Dr Jackson have me some options and I chose to immediately get scheduled for a robotic hysterectomy while leaving my ovaries due to me only being 40 years old. He answered all my questions patiently and kindly. The surgery was relatively easy and without delay. As long as Im in Tampa and Dr Jackson is still practicing, I will never see anyone else in GYN. Thank you, Dr Jackson!

Dr Jackson is a wonderful doctor. He is extremely knowledgeable, thorough and takes time to listen to my issues and concerns. He did my laparoscopic hysterectomy 2 months ago and explained everything to me. I highly recommend him to others. The office staff is wonderful and made a hard time for me, a much easier one.

Dr. Jackson is extremely knowledgeable and if he doesn’t know something he is very willing to research the latest information. He has the best bedside manner. He’s caring and really gets to know his patients. I’ve experienced two pregnancies and deliveries with him and he was fantastic both times.

If you’re new to the area and are in need of an OBGYN I recommend Dr. Jackson. He is truly amazing! He explains the entire process and takes the time to answer your questions and listen to your concerns. He’s truly great!

I have been seeing Dr. Jackson for two years now. I just recently had a hysterectomy and I am so happy Dr. Jackson was the one who did the surgery. He is caring, knowledgeable, and not a “sales Doctor”. I decided on my own to have a hysterectomy. He does not do unnecessary tests, or require for you to see him more than necessary to make money like some other Doctors do.On my surgery day he checked in on me personally twice! He also personally called my hospital room at 8:30pm to check in on me. It is very hard to find a Doctor like this now a days. It’s usually the Doctors assistant checking in on patients. I would 100% recommend him. Yes his demeanor seems stand off ish at first, but he just has a dry sense of humor. Get to know him, you’ll love him.

My review is long overdue. I’ve been seeing Dr. Jackson for the past 3 months. I recently moved from New York and I’m also pregnant. Finding a reputable OBGYN was really important to me. This office is sooo much better than my previous doctors office. The staff is amazing. They are patient and knowledgeable. On my first visit I met with Jenay who went over everything I was to expect throughout my pregnancy. She answered all my questions and cleared up any concerns I had. The staff at the front desk is always pleasant and welcoming when I visit or call. Dr. Jackson has been an amazing doctor thus far. He’s patient, I never feel like I’m being rushed like at other offices. He listens to my concerns and is very knowledgeable. I never have to wait a crazy long time on my appointment dates like at other doctors office. I have to say they do have a strict policy for being on time(which I love) you are charged a fee if you’re late and if it’s after a certain time you have to reschedule. I love everything about this office. It’s clean and very welcoming. Also, Jay, she does the ultrasounds is great. Very friendly and great personality. I would definitely recommend this office if you’ve been let down at other places. You won’t be disappointed.

Dr. Jackson and his staff (and the staff at Advent Wesley Chapel) are an amazing group of people. I had to have surgery, which was not only a physically challenging event for me but also an emotional one. Everyone was patient, understanding, comforting and supportive. I would recommend FMC OB/GYN to anyone. I drive out of my way to get care from them because they are the best. Thank you!

Dr. Jackson is amazing! I do not regret switching to his office one bit. He takes his time with every appointment, and loves what he does. He was the one who delivered my baby via csection. Would highly reccomend him to anyone who is expecting.

I strongly recommend Dr. Jackson. He delivered all three of my children which were high risk pregnancies. Even with the unexpected complications that I experienced during delivery, he made sure that the baby and myself were taken care of. I cannot thank him enough for keeping me and my babies safe and healthy. I always felt comfortable with him and he would always take his time during my appointments. I never felt rushed and had all of my questions answered.

I suffered for over a decade with Endometriosis, pelvic pain & more. Dr.Jackson & all his associates were beyond AMAZING! I have been in and out of more DRs than I could count due to being a military wife. After test and evaluation we decided on a hysterectomy they got me in at the earliest date for my husband had received orders to be relocated to the top of the country. Then COVID 19 happened and everything was brought to a stop! Dr.Jackson & his associates did great communicating & keeping me up to date with what was happening, doing their best with what they had never experienced before. They got me in prior to being relocated & I have been PAIN free since! My scars healed amazing & I’m living my best life! I would more than HIGHLY recommend his office!!!

Dr. Jackson and his staff are wonderful they make these appointments easier, everyone are exceptional at what they do. If you need an OBGYN this is the practice for you regardless of your age. Youre not made to feel out of place when you start to get up in years like in many offices. They make you feel just as welcome as a young soon to be mother, their very sweet.

I had to have a uterine biopsy. I was beyond scared. Dr. Jackson was beyond knowledgeable and explained everything. He explained all steps after the results are in.Highly recommend him.

Dr Jackson and everyone at FMC were fantastic throughout my pregnancy and postpartum. I had some blood pressure issues during L&D and he monitored me very closely in the weeks after I gave birth. The office staff is amazing too!

When I had a minor complication after a procedure and called his office for assistance, he had me come in right away to address it. I appreciate his expertise and would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a provider.

Today was my second time visiting the Nurse practitioner Cori Lloyd and she is absolutely amazing. Very patient and kind and all around great at what she does! Also the women who does ultrasound is great and has such a great sense of humor but so humble as well. :)

Staff is nice but I do not understand why everything is so spaced out with their appointments. It feels like they are intentionally doing this to get my deductible as many times as they can. I have never been to a doctor that does this kind of practice. I asked the staff about it and they said he is trying to be thorough and take his time diagnosing things but it seems very odd since I have been to quite a few other doctors and they dont do this. I gave him a two because the one time I met him he was nice and so was the staff.

Dr Jackson was not friendly or personable on my first visit. Thought the second visit would go better. It did not. Even my husband disliked him. Apparently an woman that only needs HRT is not worth his time. The staff, however, was very friendly & professional.

Dr. Jackson is extremely patient, will answer your questions and proceed with care for the best healthy outcome. Couldnt imagine going to any other GYN. He has taken care of us for 6 years.

1) Long wait times : Florida medical clinic . Waited for more than an hour (too bad) even when I registered online and came 20 minutes early .2) I felt it is biased based on race and made me wait for long even when I have correct appointment.3) After that I let the front staff know that it’s late and no message/intimation regarding emergency etc . , they said we don’t have control over that .4) Finally , when I met the doctor , he explained me the process but seemed to be negligent or careless . Might be because of step 1) and step 2) and that I asked them of long wait time . I wouldn’t recommend the doctor as well part from long wait time

Dr Jackson delivered my first grandbaby!! He was very informative and very nice!! I would highly recommend him! His midwives are awesome too!!!

I really hope not one choose this so called DR to deliver a baby, he will put his coffee first not matter if you have been in labor awaiting for 4 hours. You will be treated like a cow.(I think a vet will treat you better).

Brought my wife to Dr Jackson after a referral. I wouldnt recommend to anyone. Seemed perturbed dealing with my wife and in a hurry. Had to go to the emergency room the next day as a result of her horrible visit. Good luck everyone.

Compassionate and caring providers and staff. The midwives are a wonderful asset to Dr Jacksons practice.

I could give 0 stars.. these ppl are only after money no care for patient .. does not listen to concerns .. doesnt care about anything as long as he is getting money .. if I could go back in time and change the doctor I would.. regret highly for choosing him as gynecologist .. I hope my review helps atleast 1 person
