Planned Parenthood - Downtown Austin Health Center

Every single staff member, from MA’s, to the NP’s, to the clinic manager, Malissa; were phenomenal! They look at you as a whole person, rather than a set of symptoms or medical record number. The care, grace and compassion I received at the East 7th clinic was unsurpassed. The clinic manager has set the bar of excellence and the staff works together with this young woman to make it happen. I hope planned parenthood is taking note on this manager on how to manage her clinic. She’s invaluable and deserves a promotion. Thank you East 7th team for reminding us what true healthcare should look like.

Staff is excellent, very friendly and kind. But the wait is ridiculous. 3:30 appointment, didn’t get called to the back until 4:30, now it’s almost a quarter after 5, the lobby is closed and I’m still just sitting here in this exam room. Hopefully they didn’t forget me.

Staff is rude, says patient confidentially but they say all your business out loud. The greeting is very mild and unpleasant. No one seems like they want to help. Just not a welcoming environment. I hope the physicians are more patient friendly.I’d recommend the north location. The customer service there is always friendly and helpful and serves their patients with a smile.I’ll never be coming back to this location again.

I had the best experience at Planned Parenthood today and I wanted to share my experience with anyone considering to book an appointment at this location. I had recently moved to Texas from another state so finding a health care provider was really stressing me out. I felt a pain in my chest that was under my breast and became concerned. I had heard P.P. was located near downtown so I booked an appointment and they were able to get me in in two days. I called the clinic to see if they took my insurance and everyone from the manager working the front desk, to the call center in Dallas treated me with such high respect and kindness. I booked my appointment as early as possible so I arrived around 9:00am when they opened. Moving across the country and trying to find a health care provider is not easy but P.P. made it so easy. The woman who brought me back to go over my medical history made me feel incredibly comfortable and welcome. Her name was Tina. I felt very comfortable with her and she was so nice! Genuinely a kind person. She brought me back to the nurse who was named Nicole and Nicole addressed all my concerns with an incredible amount of patience. She walked me through every step of my pap so I wouldnt feel nervous. She spend extra time with me and was very knowledgeable. From the moment she walked into the room her energy was calming and I felt much more comfortable! I highly recommend coming to this location. Than you Tina and Nicole for making my experience so stress-free. I left with a smile on my face knowing I found a clinic I will be returning to!!

Went to the office at 9:00 this morning after scheduling my appointment earlier this week. Drove 45 mins from where I live to find out the entire office was completely closed! No one gave me a call to reschedule or sent me a message to cancel. Would have been nice to know ahead of time. Gas isn’t cheap. Would have really appreciated some proper care from staff. Anyways wont be returning to this establishment anymore.

The staff was rude and dishonest. I was told they were waiting on my insurance to see how much my copay would be which I found to be strange. They seemed as if they did not want to do what I asked or they just wanted me to pay out of pocket. Paying was no issue, but I refused to let people who act as if I am an inconvenience to them complete a procedure on me.

I was walked through all the steps to make my visit the most affordable option. I also was accommodated last minute! Everyone was kind and helpful and efficient.

This facility is amazing. They helped with financial aid and every staff member treated me with respect. I was given all sorts of choices for birth control and I felt very informed. The only negative is that it took over an hour to get 3 packs of the pill after my appointment, but it makes sense, they were not scrimping on quality sexual education!

I made an appointment a week ago a few weeks after I received my copper iud. Started to have problems needed to get seen, but there nurse practitioner has been calling out last minute for the past two weeks as my appointments where both cancelled last minute without proper time to schedule a new appointment. Then told be to go to an emergency room Im not bleeding out I have an infection not something for an emergency room. The lady working the front wouldnt even so much as call the clinic a few miles away to see if I could get in. Two weeks later from my original appointment date Im finally seen by the other clinic who did have no problem seeing me that same day. Pp is a great resource but the staff along with the nurse practitioner are not very great, and Im suffering cause she messed up my iud insertion.

Staff was friendly and answered my questions. I was only there for an hour. I received financial assistance. I waited 40 minutes till I was seen. Didnt mind the wait. They even helped me find a cheaper pharmacy to get my prescription. Overall great experience.

I get anxious easily, these ladies were so nice to me the whole time and had a white noise machine so I wouldnt worry that someone could hear me. I had forgotten my wallet in my other purse and they were so chill about letting me run home to grab it and didnt make me feel bad or guilt at all. Love them❤❤❤

They turn the phone off 30 minutes early. Its 2:04 and the phone is saying Ive reached them after hours.I threw up the medication they prescribed and I need to know if I should pick up more or is it fine.

The receptionist was so nice to me, you can tell she really cared and helped me out super quickly + you can tell that confidentiality is super important here. ❤️

Great clinic and compassionate staff. A bit behind on appointment time (waited an hour) but they were able to see me the same day I called in.

Use to go to this clinic they were fast and simple. Now an appointment has to be scheduled for everything. Well you might as well say you dont accept walkins.

Told me my nexplanon lasts 4 years now. I went on the official page for the birth control and it still says 3. The page was updated this year.

Newly renovated and modern building. The staff was kind and welcoming. I will be coming back! Thank you for everything

The staff is horrible over the phone. The women was really rude as if she deals with too many people so she hates her job.
