Savannah that works the phone and front desk was so incredibly disrespectful to my husband and I on the phone this morning. This is supposed to be a place for fertility. We are already going through so much and she brought even more stress on us. We called to see if we could move our appointment Savannah mentioned she would ask the owner and see if she would be willing to waive the cancellation fee and call us back. Instead she got off the phone cancelled our appointment and charged us a cancellation fee although we hadn’t yet cancelled.She then proceeds to not answer our calls and when she did pick up the phone she became extremely aggressive. She completely ruined what has been a great experience with Aparna. I would not recommend this place simply because of her.

Marisa is truly a miracle worker and the kindest person. I was told that my only chance of getting pregnant was through IVF as I have damaged tubes. I had surgery and had one tube removed prior to beginning my IVF journey which is when I started seeing Marisa at TCRA. I tried to do 3 IVF retrievals but kept having a returning cyst so was unable to begin. As I waited to try a 4th time, I found out I was pregnant. I genuinely believe that it was because of Marisa that I was able to get pregnant naturally. I can’t recommend her and her services enough.

All of the staff at TCRA are so amazing and I’ve been fortunate to be cared for by them for the last 6 months. This review in particular goes out to Emily who has guided me through my first trimester after two losses. Not only is she an incredibly skilled acupuncturist, but she is an integral member of my care team, providing reassurance and guidance on my lab tests, diet, sleep routine, TMJ, and so much more. She truly takes a holistic approach to care and I always feel so refreshed after our sessions and acupuncture has greatly helped me heal physically and emotionally. My first trimester symptoms were pretty manageable and I largely credit that to my acupuncture routine with Emily! I recommend Emily and TCRA to anyone who is ttc, especially those experiencing infertility and loss.

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 10 years. We are in our late 30s now. We were determined to find the right acupuncturist for us both. We have tried acupuncture at 4 different places in Austin. Overall, we got the very best service and value with Marisa at TCRA. We started acupuncture for fertility a month before our FET. Everyones experience is different with FET. However, we were able to successfully get 15 embryos, with 5 of them being euploid. My husband continued to see Marisa for wellness acupuncture because it helped him a lot overall in balancing his chi. I was a bit nervous about getting acupuncture during my first pregnancy. However, I consistently and continued to see the benefits each time I was treated by Marisa. When I had to cancel my appointment during this years last winter freeze, I noticed an unbalance in my body and mental health. It was clear to me that after my next appointment, I experienced less anxiety, I was able to sleep through the night, and overall, I felt energized and whole. The atmosphere at TCRA is healing. Linen is always clean, too, which is a plus. We ended up moving three hours away after we bought a home for our growing family, so we will miss Marisa greatly! We fully trust her and her work, and would recommend her to anyone at any point in their health and wellness journey. In addition, she is so kind, knowledgeable, and prioritizes continued education in acupuncture each year.

Aparna is great and the facility is peaceful but Savannah the receptionist needs a lot of training in customer service.

I would highly recommend TCRA for your acupuncture needs. After one year of failing to conceive, my doctor recommended I try TCRA for fertility treatment. I am so happy I took my doctors advice. I cannot begin to express how wonderful it has been to receive acupuncture treatments from Marisa and her team. Marisas bedside manner is lovely and her demeanor is both uplifting and calming at the same time. I looked forward to my weekly treatments as not only an attempt to help with conception but also as a relaxing retreat from the stress of day to day life. Each treatment left me feeling very light and at peace! After less than 3 months of weekly treatments, I got pregnant. I continued my treatments post-conception and here I am 3 weeks before my due date and I owe it in large part to Marisa and TCRA!

Marisa is AMAZING! I am so grateful I found her. She was by far the most helpful and supportive care giver during my fertility journey. I truly don’t believe I would have gotten pregnant without her treatments and advice. She was very thorough, thinking through my treatment and actually made a timing adjustment that led to a successful IUI treatment.The whole experience is incredible - easy to schedule with and so relaxing when you’re there. I now have beautiful twin boys - and thanks to her, I was barely sick while I was pregnant, didn’t gain weight anywhere but my belly, and had minimal discomfort. I’ve continued seeing her postpartum I enjoy the experience so much.I would highly recommend her to anyone trying to expand their family - or anyone who wants a fantastic acupuncture experience.

I contacted Texas Center for Reproductive Acupuncture after our first IVF transfer failed. By this point, my husband and I had been trying to conceive for almost 8 years and had tried just about everything. I had been interested in acupuncture, but it was something that I was having a hard time committing to with all of the appointments (and needles!) I was already dealing with. However, I was running out of options and hope and I was willing to try anything. From the first phone consultation, I felt at ease with Marisa. She listened to my story and I felt like she was truly sympathetic. She answered all of my questions and I just felt like this was the next step. I made an appointment immediately to start treatment as I was preparing for another IVF transfer. I had no idea what to expect, but my first appointment was amazing. Marisa is one of the most gentle souls I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She is so knowledgeable about the process, and even had suggestions for things I had not thought of. I felt like I had made a new friend and a compassionate therapist all at once. The sessions were relaxing and quickly became one of the highlights of my week. I saw her once a week until my next IVF transfer, she even came in on her day off for another session right after my transfer. I sit here typing this with my beautiful miracle baby sleeping on my chest and I truly believe that she played an important part in my transfer being successful. I continued to see her during my pregnancy until Covid unfortunately interrupted my sessions. I was able to see her again in my third trimester, she even helped to flip my breech baby! I had an appointment scheduled at 37 weeks for induction points, but Lincoln had other plans and came early on his own. I plan to continue to incorporate acupuncture into my wellness routine. I cannot recommend Marisa and Texas Center for Reproductive Acupuncture enough and am forever grateful for her help in bringing my sweet boy into the world.

Marissa and her team at TCRA are the best! I went to TCRA in 2021 to get acupuncture related to fertility. The atmosphere was relaxing (air purifiers, noise machines, dim lights, comfortable table/pillows) to help me relieve stress while getting my treatments. Marissa is very knowledgeable and I felt comfortable asking tons of questions about how acupuncture helped and other suggestions like questions to ask my doctor or supplements. I went to TCRA during my FET and throughout my pregnancy, and it always felt like a huge stress reliever at the end. I highly recommend TCRA!

The Texas Center for Reproductive Acupuncture changed my life. I went for the first time 3 years ago for fertility & miscarriage prevention. I immediately felt so welcome and cared for by their friendly staff. Shortly after following their program & receiving acupuncture I was pregnant and continued to go in for pregnancy acupuncture. I had a wonderful & healthy pregnancy, the acupuncture completely changed my pregnancy experience. I went in at the end for acupuncture to help naturally induce and sure enough within 48 hours I had my baby! Now I am pregnant again and still going. I couldn’t recommend this place enough! Marisa is absolutely amazing and so knowledgeable. I am so thankful for The Texas Center for Reproductive Acupuncture.

I am beyond thrilled that I was referred to Marisa and her practice. After suffering a miscarriage and battling irregular cycles/ovulation, Marisa has officially got me back on track and my cycles have been coming regularly (and the earliest they have ever come!) With one more upcoming surgery, I have all the hope in the world that Marisa will help us achieve our dream of having our rainbow baby. I cannot thank Marisa enough for her true professionalism, knowledge, education, support, and love as she has guided me through one of the toughest years of my life. Marissa and Jessica are absolutely amazing! Clinic is clean, cozy, relaxing, and welcoming. They both are very knowledgeable, and really listen to what you have to say...they make you feel heard and understood. Being diagnosed with unexplained infertility isnt fun for anyone but this Clinic gives me hope and has alleviated almost any stress/anxiety I have while trying to conecive. My cycles were a little long and they have worked to get them on a more normal pattern. This place has been a saving grace, and I look forward to every visit.

Marisa is one of the things I look forward to during pregnancy! Since COVID, we all know we have been bound to our houses and limited social gatherings. Going to acupuncture became something more than I ever imagined, a true calm in the storm. She cares about her practice and will be your advocate and help you through whatever situation you bring up to her. She is always so positive and helpful in her advice and always has something you can try, to relieve your pregnancy symptoms. This was my first pregnancy and I dont know what I would have done without this practice! Totally recommend for fertility and pregnancy!

TCRA changed my life! My fertility journey was extremely long, arduous, and at times exhausting. I spent years working with fertility specialists with various medications, injections, and IUI only to experience heart break time and again. Then enters TCRA and Marisa - I felt connected to Marisa from our very first consultation, she did not rush, she listened, thoroughly reviewed my medical history, and gave me hope that my body could do what it was designed to do. After a few months of treatments with Marisa, healthy diet, exercise, and changes to my supplement routine that she suggested, I was pregnant! I am so grateful to Marisa and the entire team, they have been so supportive throughout the entire journey thus far even in the midst of COVID-19. You will not regret giving fertility acupuncture a try at TCRA with Marisa, I could not recommend her enough!

Kirsten and Marisa are amazing and work wonders!! I was having terrible migraines on and off, and Kirsten gave me an acupuncture as well as natural herbs for relief. All of my pain begin minimizing quickly after the acupuncture started, and was completely gone once I was finished. I highly recommend this clinic not only for fertility wellness, but for other issues that they can treat with acupuncture and herbs. Love this place and the acupuncturists!

After dealing with the heartbreak of recurrent pregnancy loss I was starting to give up hope. That was when I found TCRA. I am holding my miracle baby in my arms thanks to Marissa. I got pregnant the first cycle that I started working with Marissa and had a healthy full term pregnancy. I can’t sing their praises enough!

The staff is so kind, knowledgeable and friendly. They invited me to come with my wife to her session to learn more about what we can be doing for fertility. We both felt so welcome. She continued to go, got her cycles on track and we became pregnant shortly after. The pregnancy acupuncture really helped her as well. We would highly recommend TCRA.

I wanted to try acupuncture for fertility and was recommended to this place. Marissa was super knowledgeable and had great bedside manners. She went above and beyond to print off notes with highlights on vitamins and self care for me and my husband for fertility. Sydney at the front desk was very professional and efficient. Omg, Too many good things about this practice! Marisa is positive and very helpful !! I started having reproductive accupunture after having 2 early misscarriages and tried for 2 years to conceive ( + had been following doctors advice etc) but nothing worked... as soon as i started having reproductive accupunture, much to my surprise concieved naturally within a month or two and i am in my last month of pregnancy :) Though results might vary from person to person but i would definitely 110% recommend Marisa to anyone looking to concieve/ during pregnancy journey... + you get a benefit of relaxation and stress relief with each accupunture session any way...so go ahead and try!!

I never write reviews but I wanted to share my experience with the TCRA. Kirsten Karchmer is incredibly experienced, knowledgeable, and passionate. Within minutes, she was able to identify an issue that several doctors, over multiple years, had missed (just through a conversation and a quick assessment on her app). As important, she immediately offered a game plan. After taking her suggestions, I feel better than I can ever remember. And, she’s really cool too! Marisa and the entire team are also wonderful. I highly recommend the TCRA.

I came to Kirsten and her team a TCRA with one goal: to get pregnant naturally. I was told by several doctors and fertility specialists that I would never get pregnant without fertility drugs or IVF. But after my first consultation with Kirsten I was filled with hope :). Kirsten laid out a 12 week program that consisted of:- changes to my diet to strengthen my digestion and increase nutrient density, especially nutrients needed for fertility- taking customized, all natural herbal formulas on specific days of my cycle- changes to behavior and lifestyle like prioritizing sleep, meditating, yoga, walking, hydrating properly and focusing on just slowing down and managing my stressWithin months of following her program I was pregnant!!! And my health had never been better, I felt amazing. I continued to call on Kirsten and her team for consultations while I was pregnant. My pregnancy was nothing but joy and I had a beautiful baby boy named Noah. I am so thankful for Kirsten and TCRA. My life is changed because of them. My approach to my health is completely changed.If you struggle with anything female related, from irregular cycles and PMS to struggling to conceive, this is the place to go. My boy and I are a testament to their work.

Kirsten and her team at TCRA are a godsend and Id recommend their services highly to any woman, whether youre TTC, wanting to even out your cycles, rid yourself of PMS, or just want to take a mini-vacation every once in a while and chill the f--- out. Kirstens treatments are like mini-therapy sessions and acupuncture with her is so relaxing and restorative. Kirsten herself is full of wisdom and humor, with an encyclopedic knowledge of womens health informing her individualized care. Her personality as a practitioner is exactly what you want: warm, encouraging, empathetic, funny, and knowledgeable. An expert wholl give you plenty of you-can-do-it advice and all the resources you need to get on track. When I first started at TCRA, what I thought were pretty average menstrual cycles were revealed through BBT charting to be slightly out of whack, and I was confused why after a year I was not getting pregnant. Kirsten helped my cycles transform from jittery to smooth with acupuncture, herbs, and some pretty simple adjustments to nutrition. Within a few cycles I was back to 28 days ovulating on day 14, with more energy and little to no PMS. Not only that, I was able to conceive within a few months under her care. Ive watched as countless other patients of hers have gone on to have healthy pregnancies, too. I cant recommend Kirsten enough!

I loved working with Marisa and the team at TCRA! They offered support while I was trying to conceive and throughout my pregnancy; I had a smooth pregnancy and delivery because of TCRAs services along the way!

I met with the founder at the clinic, Kirsten Karchmer, and was blown away with the depth of her knowledge and experience in both Chinese and Western medicine. She was able to really assess our situation in a way that no other doctor or acupuncturist had ever done before. I really understand the difference now between a good and great clinician. I HIGHLY recommend that you make an apt and just let her do her diagnostic magic. After meeting with her, I finally understood the why and what we needed to do about it.
