My experience was wonderful. I’ve been stressed out regarding my female health since starting menopause. I was told by another doctor that I needed a hysterectomy for a fibroid that was non invasive & not cancer. I did my research and couldn’t find where a full hysterectomy was needed. Dr Merrit was calm and kind. She gave me the time to go over my list of symptoms and assured me that I was “normal” and gave me a protocol that will hopefully work for me. No major surgery needed.Time will tell but if this protocol doesn’t work, I have faith she will have a different solution that will. I left feeling confident in her and that’s a lot. I’ve now have seen 3 doctors and she is the only one who I felt fully heard by and who had a simple solution. She will be my female doctor moving forward.

Dr Meritt Has always been very kind and patient with all of my questions. Ive been seeing her for at least 15 years. I would recommend her to any of my friends and family.

For the past two years I’ve been trying to get my tubes tied.I have two children, i’m in my 40s and do not like the side effects of birth control. I went to three different doctors before my friend suggested the women’s group. She said all the doctors there are amazing I know what they are doing. I called and made an appointment with whoever could get me in. I’m so lucky I got Dr. Laura Meritt. She took the time to listen to me and explain all my options and various outcomes. She is knowledgeable and clear so I could understand everything. She was kind and professional letting me ask questions and take my time. I never felt rushed. My procedure was done within a couple months and I cannot be happier with the outcome and relief I now have. I also had the option of making a payment online which is super convenient The emails and notifications with reminders and instructions are also helpful and make appointments seamless. Dr. Laura Merritt is easy to talk to, has a comforting bed side manor, and very knowledgeable. Plus, the team from the admin staff to the nurses are professional and prompt. I’ve been going to Women’s Renaissance Group for years for all my OBGYN needs. I’m the type of person that if I’m not comfortable, I will get 2nd and 3rd opinion, even with doctors. I have never felt that need with this group or Dr. Merritt. I would recommend her time and time again.

Dr. Merritt was wonderful, she took the time to listen.What I have not been happy with is that her nurse has not been good at returning my calls. And calling has been a pain. The calls go on a cue and after waiting, it then makes you leave a message. Twice I tried the front office and when theyd transfer me to her, Id get back on the cue, makes you just want to give up. When nurse finally called me back she said they were trying to look into my 2nd insurance for the medication, but I didnt have a 2nd insurance. It took 2 weeks for me to get my prescription.

Updated 12/30/2021 - just had the yearly mammogram and OB appointment. Dr. Meritt and staff are still wonderful. I was reminiscing of the days when Tonya the wonder nurse was there. (Tonya - if you read this - you are STILL missed and I think of you often!)My only issue was my own -* Received a text the evening before the appointment to check in for OB appt.Filled it out the next morning, day of appointment, including updating records and received an all checked in, see you for your appt message. Upon arriving, checked in with receptionist for appointments. (Or so I thought). Apparently it was just for the mamo. Had arrived at 8:30 for 8:45am mamo appt, per instructions. Got mamo and was SUPPOSED to recheck in with reception. I failed to do that. My own misunderstanding, as I thought the one check-in did both. Easy to miss - so do yourself a favor and check in, then re-check in, if you have both appointments at one time. LolAgain, we live a good distance away but worth the drive go see Dr Meritt. 25 years and counting!--------Have been going to Renaissance Womens Group for 23 years. They have helped me deliver to beautiful healthy babies (who are now 21 & 18!), and helped me though the loss of twin angels very early in my pregnancy. Dr. Meritt, Dr Thompson & Dr Darby, plus a host of wonderful staff over the years, have been great. My daughter is now a patient of Dr. Meritt. RWG is a long way from our home, but so worth it. This office is horrible they charged my insurance for a mammogram I never received I was 18 at the time and did not need a mammogram nor did I receive one.They also don’t answer the phones.
