Total Mens Primary Care - Downtown

My visit to Total Mens was quick and efficient. Everyone I dealt with was professional and kind. I personally wanted to set a health baseline and better understand areas where I could improve. I look forward to receiving my baseline results and returning in the future for some of their additional services.

Got an annual checkup. They did bloodwork and I talked to a nurse practitioner for about 20 minutes. She prescribed me a nasal spray for my sinuses and then recommended I get a OTC product for my acne. Overall, pretty efficient and valuable visit.

Had an appointment here today. They went out of their way to fit me in the schedule and it was about 20 min between entering and exiting the building which was crazy fast. So I had an initial great experience and can recommend themEdit: I see reviews below and just want to say that phones were answered for me and the staff was nice as well.

Easy booking, check in and facility process. The folks at Total mens are at least as good as the dedicated doctor staff i used to enjoy and at a much better price. Thanks TC Mens Health!

For the life of me I cant find the competence in this office for a referral that was needed weeks ago. I have asked this office repeatedly to sent a referral to Texas Rheumatology Associates (TRA).TRA has finally recieved the referral BUT IT HAD insufficient information and has sent it back to Total Mens almost 2 weeks ago. Total mens has failed to follow up. If you dont have the energy to micromanage your provider do not come here.

Natalia Milliken is the first health care provider who really listened to me. I never felt rushed, she addressed all of my questions thoroughly, and she gave me empathetic and practical steps on what to do next. As a bonus, the staff member who drew my blood was flawless. I felt nothing. 10/10, whatever happened during Covid has been fixed.

The initial service was great;very good service, however, when I went to make an appointment to see a doctor, he was no longer part of the clini ok... Another doctor took care of me... Unfortunately, the post-consultation experience was terrible. They attempted to refer me to a specialist, but they never contacted me. When I reached out to the clinic, they provided me with the phone number of the recommended specialists, but they either did not have my information or the specialist at that number or address no longer existed. It was very disorganized and took 3 weeks.Im still waiting for a specialist to contact me regarding the referral they said they made. However, upon calling the two phone numbers provided to confirm, I found that the specialists are no longer associated with those numbers.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Total Mens in downtown Austin. Firstly, trying to get in touch with them is a nightmare as they never seem to pick up the phone. During my last appointment, the lack of professionalism was astounding. The lady at the front desk was more interested in her snacks than greeting patients. When I informed her of my appointment, she rudely asked if it was for today, without even bothering to check my information or make eye contact.To make matters worse, this same staff member carelessly sent another patient into my room while I was still being examined by my doctor. Even when the nurse pointed out the mistake, she just laughed it off without a hint of apology.Communication is a major issue at this clinic. Ive sent messages through the patient portal and havent received a response in almost a week. Its frustrating and unacceptable. How are patients supposed to communicate with them if they neither answer calls nor respond to messages? I strongly advise against going to Total Mens downtown Austin unless you want to be treated with disrespect and negligence.

Showed up 15 minutes prior and was in and out in 45. Front desk girl was very welcoming and helpful. Staff was very knowledgeable and efficient.

Predatory and unethical billing practices where they manipulate you during your preventative annual check up to talk about mental health or sleep problems to give you some quick generic advice and bill you $100 on top.

Their hours are until 5, and they closed today at 1. One of the guys waiting outside with me had an appointment scheduled at 2:20 and took time off for work. Me, I kind of just showed up, but that’s all a testosterone shot entails. Put a sign up for your clients to at least them know, rather than have them in the dark for 20 minutes with security detail playing private eye. This isn’t even on staff this is on management. Ridiculous.

High quality evaluation by a true professional at Austins downtown location. Happy to say I have finally found a landing spot for my primary care.

For over 2 yrs I had impeccable service here getting weekly TRT. There was a full office staff turnover at beginning of year and the service has been terrible. I’ve gone 4 times this year only to be told no provider was there and couldn’t give me a shot- after a 20 minute commute. They have since started calling to inform me that the provider won’t be in but not with enough notice to rearrange my schedule or make a morning appt at another location. Natalia used to be the provider and was always amazing. Hard shoes to fill it seems. The office staff is friendly and I know this is beyond their control. But enough is enough- Find another clinic, there are many in Austin.

Easy to make an appointment, prompt service and communications and thorough and capable staff. Recommended!

I disapprove of giving negative reviews, yet my initial experience was highly unprofessional. Despite the 40-degree weather, I found myself waiting at the front door for 10 minutes. Upon knocking on the glass window, a nurse appeared, stating, Just wait here; our front desk associate is late. Shell attend to you upon arrival. After a 5-minute wait and a review check, I promptly decided to seek healthcare and conduct business elsewhere.

Fast, friendly and courteous service for someone that is from our of town and needed to be seen immediately!! Thank you!

My experience with Total Mens Downtown has been excellent. I’ve been seeing them for years now, and they’ve made staying on top of my health extremely easy as I get older. The entire staff is very knowledgeable, thorough, and always willing to be flexible with their schedule when needed. They also happen to be wonderful people! 10/10 would recommend.

Communiated my horrible experience with the staff and they said I would get a follow up which never happened. They only have nurse practitioners. The doctors do not respond in the patient portal. I needed a refill on some medication and reached out repeatedly with no response. I was told incorrect information by one of their nurse practitioners. This place is all about profit not patients.Tried reaching out to resolve this repeatedly and have been ignored or lied to.

They helped me more than my regular doctors office was willing to when I had an appointment. Id be ok to come here when I cant get an appointment in time with the doctor as some can have long weights. I log into the portal and am not seeing much medical notes. Because its an np and not much medical notes I cant switch this as my primary care doctor snd only come here. If I needed paper work filled out an np isnt enough for that but they helped me more than my other doctors were willing to do.

Was not feeling great and wanted to make sure- made an appointment Friday night for a rapid test Saturday morning. Since it was early morning on a Saturday, down town parking wasn’t bad at all. Walked in as soon as they opened at 8 and was in and out in five minutes. Everyone working there was super nice, and a little while later I got an email and text with a link to my results. This was so much easier than CVS, will totally go back here in the future for a rapid test if ever needed- already let some friends know about what a convent process it was!

The staff are amazing but this isnt a one stop shop. The office is staffed with ONLY NPs, which means youll need to be referred out for controlled medications. Its good for a basic check-up but not long term primary care.

I wanted to get tested for COVID before spending time with my family over the holidays. My office is two blocks from this location, so it was super efficient. They are able to communicate with you via text, which allows for easier communication throughout the day. The only meh part about my visit was that I had sent over my insurance information before my appointment and whomever checked my insurance and verified coverage with me did not update my file, so I had to wait for the person checking me in for my appointment to re-run my insurance. But other than that, the visit was fast and easy. They sent me my results about 30 minutes following m visit. I will be using them in the future and referring my friends.

Total Mens Care is very fast and efficient! I easily made an on-line appointment for rapid covid test. I filled out all paperwork online as well, including ID and insurance. So when I arrived for my appointment, I walked right in to have my test. I was in and out in under 10 minutes! On my way home, I got a text with my test results. I really appreciate this kind of service that provides safety for all. It was also a relief to get fast results for myself and my family.

Havent seen a Doctor or received a checkup in quite some time so I was a bit nervous going into the appointment. I left a very comforted and happy client.Parking wasnt too hard, plenty of pay to park spots nearby. Was in and out in probably 35 min total so I only paid for 1 hour. It was super fast and I even got blood taken. Everyone, from the front desk, blood specialist and the nurse practioner, was really friendly and informative about my questions.Overall it was a great visit and definitely recommend for all my brothers out there.

First time patient at TMC (Austin downtown location) and it went well.Arrived at scheduled time that I booked on line and there was no long wait to see provider.The overall customer experience and interaction was great. The young lady who greeted and checked me in was super nice. She was attentive and provided outstanding service.The site was clean and seemed well maintained. The staff member who escorted me back to the exam room was curtious and promptly returned to deliver the services I had requested.Overall the customer engagement and service was great .....satisfied with overall customer experience!!!

Went in for a Rapid COVID test. Super easy to schedule online. Plenty of reminders. Once there, I was in and out in ten minutes TOPS; after filling out some very simple paperwork, I was seen and swabbed within minutes and then I was good to go. My results came within an hour. They took insurance (all I had to pay was a co-pays). I live downtown so getting there was super convenient for me, though I could see if you have to drive in how finding parking might be inconvenient, but seriously - given how smooth the whole process was, I would recommend this to everyone.

I made a same day antibody test as a new patient and was sent a short questionnaire to fill out. It was super easy to upload my insurance cards and license. I arrived 20 minutes early to my appointment and was taken immediately without having to fill anything else out or give my cards over again.The test was less than 5 minutes and my results were texted to me within the hour. They even followed up with a personal text to see if I needed anything else. Such a great and easy experience, a clean office and friendly team. I already recommended this place to my friends who are looking for a place to get tested!

The quickest, most efficient, cleanest primary care I’ve been to in Austin. Went for my covid test and the whole thing from test to result took about 40 minutes. Incredible. Aside from that they were super friendly and answered all my questions. Huge huge bonus that all the paperwork is done on your phone beforehand. Welcome to the future. This is how all doctor visits should be.

TLDR: horrible worthless admin team that likely doesn’t do their jobs resulting in you never getting your medication for 30+ daysReally have loved using TM for years now but lately their administration just drop the ball when it comes to paperwork, and the app they make you use is so inexcusably bad I’m not sure I want to use them anymore. The staff has always been amazing so it’s hard for me to rate them poorly.The administration staff either forgot to fill out my paperwork sent by the doctor or dragged their feet. I called multiple times over two weeks trying to understand why my script couldn’t be filled. The doctor said it wad the admin. Then the admin said it was submitted but it was on insurance. Then today they said they just finished “prepping” the paperwork and now the doctor had to sign it before it could go to insurance. Super unprofessional.Whoever is in charge of the contract y’all signed for that horrible horrible mobile app called Healow should be ripping up that deal. The app is narrowly worthless. Never tells you when your results are in and there are super difficult to read.

UPDATEChanging from 1-star to 3-star as my issue was resolved after sharing this public review.=========Original Review:After patronizing Total Mens Primary Care for years, Im having quite the regrettable experience with them trying to charge me for a service that was rendered over a year ago. Without getting into the weeds, it was a service covered by my insurance but they didnt successfully file a claim due to their own failure and now are trying to charge me for the service. They cant legally do so under Texas law (it has been too long since service rendered) but that hasnt stopped them from trying to collect and to threaten to send me to collections. Im multiple phone calls into this situation, and it hasnt gone well. If my experience changes quickly and dramatically, Ill update my review but as it stands today they have definitively lost me as a customer and Ill actively advocate for others to avoid them.

Great service! Got my Rapid Antigen Test(eligible for travel depending on your airline) - I was in and it out in less than 10 mintues. Received my results within 30min - 1hr! The best part is that they take insurance!! Very convenient location for those that live around the downtown area. Highly recommend!

Went for a covid test after coming into contact with someone who tested positive. I was able to book online and the appointment took 15 minutes total and was covered by insurance. The nasal swab wasn’t painful at all and getting results so quickly is great for peace of mind. Highly recommend!

If youre looking for quick and efficient rapid COVID test, I would highly recommend coming here! I checked into my appointment and was seen immediately. I was in and out within 5 minutes. The results came directly to my phone 30 minutes after my appointment. Ill definitely be back when I need to get another test.

Was in need of a rapid covid test over the weekend and I was able to book an appointment through their online portal within less than 30 minutes from the actual slot. Once I arrived, the reception staff was super friendly, gave clear instructions on the mobile check-in process, and were able to confidently answer some questions I had about out-of-state insurance.Another associate was waiting in the wings once I finished all my online paperwork. She took me to a very clean and organized room and administered my nasal test. I was hesitant at first but it was a very comfortable experience overall and was less than 30 seconds in totalTalk about expedient and patient-focused!!! This was the MOST organized covid-testing experience I’ve had in the last 1.5 years! I would definitely come back here again and would refer any of my friends in the Austin area

About a month ago I visited my pain management doctor for an epidural injection in my lumbar area. The anesthesiologist told me that my blood pressure was high and that I shouldn inform my primary. I called total mens primary on frontage road to inform them of what the anesthesiologist had told me. For 2 weeks I did not receive a call back.I continued to monitor my blood pressure which was in the high 190s! I finally texted the number that normally informs us of appointments. I stated what happened and they gave me an appointment for the next day. When I got to my doctors office they checked my blood pressure and it was 240/100. My primary immediately sent me to the hospital emergency room. I could have literally died waiting for someone to call me back! And if I died, who would know that I was waiting for my. Doctors office to respond? Nobody so the doctor would have gotten away with this! Its hard enough to sue a doctor for screwing up without having to have your life in danger. I called again last thursday to have a referral for low dose cat scan of my lungs To be sent to me again because I had misplaced it. Again I get no call back! Today. I get a message that I have an appointment tomorrow.I responded to the person that sent me the message that I wanted to speak to a supervisor. I requested a supervisor call me at eleven oclock this morning. The supervisor did not call me until after I sent another text message telling them to tell the manager not to bother calling me,. I will write this all up in my review. Only after that did the manager call me at 4 oclock in the afternoon! I answered the call, explained to her what was going on and why I was so upset and then told her, I no longer Wish to speak with her!I will put it all in my review and she can read about it! She took way too damned long to call back just like the rest of her staff!

Besides the ease of scheduling which is nice, don’t think I’d recommend. I had an annual physical which was very rushed and on top of that I get hit with an emotional discussion charge that I find out when my insurance billed a copay, looks like they tried sneaking in some extra billing codes there which is very sleazy

My husband and I had appointments back to back but I had made a mistake in booking mine. They were very nice to accommodate me as a walk-in. The online booking site is so incredibly streamlined and easy to use. As well as the check in process. Prompt, efficient, professional, very friendly. Cannot say enough good things about this clinic— would highly recommend!

Great service and fast efficient appointments. Friendly staff and very helpful. One MASSIVE watch out for the billing as they do layer on a few miscellaneous and overinflated charges (one example a $150 charge for a Covid test) which will leave you out of pocket quite a bit as there’s no way of getting it resolved. Learned the hard way.

Stay away from them - they are terrible with finances and records. I came in for my annual checkup and they lost my bloodwork records. Now they will not provide me with another test because it’s been too long despite my insurance paying for my visit.These are crooks; stay away and go to a real hospital.

Recently was in need of a COVID Rapid Test for school and was recommended here by a friend. I was able to book an appointment easily and got to the location about 30 minutes before the appointment and was able to finish in about 15. Staff was friendly, accommodating, and efficient. I took a Rapid Test from a different provider and they said it would take 3-5 days to know results. From Total Men’s, I got my results about 20 minutes afterwards. Excellent service!

The experience at Total Mens was phenomenal. The check-in process was smooth and stress free. The office is clean, modern, and has snacks and refreshments in the waiting area. The appointment itself was smooth too; they use a tablet to take history, etc...and the Physician (or PA) also uses the same tablet to get everything loaded in one place.Having blood drawn is not my favorite thing, but the Med Tech was very good, I think his name was Jay. Very good, one of the best actually Ive ever had. Didnt feel a thing. The referral process was easy, and I highly recommend this spot for your health needs.

I woke up feeling bad in the morning and was able to book an appointment from my phone. My appointment at 12 was quick, the nurse practitioner was super helpful. I left with my prescription already sent to the pharmacy. Overall, definitely recommend this office if you need a simple, quick doctors appointment!

I often like to visit a location a couple of times before writing a review, but right up front I know I love this place. The whole team is friendly and professional. I saw Steven for an annual physical and it was a refreshing experience. He was patient, took his time to really talk things through with me, and generally has great bedside manner. Ive been to too many doctors in the past where it feels like a rushed experience. That was far from the case here. 5/5 stars!

My girlfriend and I visited Total Mens Primary Care a couple days ago for a covid rapid test. The correspondence and coordination, a couple days prior to our visit, was great...and effortless. We arrived to a friendly staff that checked us in and walked us immediately to our exam room. We took the test and received the results in 30 minutes. Our results were negative but our experience was positive!

Went here for a rapid Covid test. They saw me right away and I was in and out in a half hour. The nurse who administered my test was awesome, I hope I have him again when I go back for a retest! Test was super quick and easy. Very pleased with my experience here.

This is my primary care doctor located conveniently downtown a couple blocks from my office. Super easy to make appointments and the staff is always friendly and helpful!During COVID, the downtown location offers both rapid nasal testing and antibody testing. They make it really easy to book an appointment online! They’re also offering flu shots too, so I was able to kill two birds with one stone in my visit. I’ve gotten several rapid testings done here and it’s super quick, you get results back within 15 minutes!The lobby has refreshments too which is always nice :)

Went in for my annual checkup. I actually enjoyed talking to my provider and felt so comfortable discussing things with her. I am glad that I picked them as my new doctor in Austin. They also do everything via text and app which is so much more convenient. I will definitely refer others to this practice.

Went in today for my first doctors visit since moving to ATX. This place was great!Showed up for my appointment about 10 minutes early, the lady at the front desk (Rhiannon I believe, might have been Rhonda, I am having trouble remembering the email address on the back of the computer for use sending documents) immediately took my information/id/insurance and let me into an exam room.Had blood drawn in short order, then met my GP Steven. After speaking with Steven another nurse came in and administered some final tests before I left for the day!Quick, easy, painless. Definitely my go-to!

I highly recommend the downtown Austin location. I went in today for a COVID antigen test, and was in and out in less than 15 minutes, including the time I had to sign up as a new patient. I had the results within another 15 minutes. Friendly staff, super clean facilities, and fast service. What more could you ask for?

No nonsense, no drama. The process of making an appointment (and checking in) was painless and efficient. I did not have to wait more than five minutes to see the assistant, and then perhaps five minutes to see the doctor after that. Everything is done on iPads, so its very quick and paperless. Both the assistant and the doctor were very professional and easy to communicate with. The doctor was also very knowledgeable and excellent at listening to my questions, and obviously cares a great deal about his patients.

I have been coming to Total Mens for my Testosterone replacement therapy for around 2 years now and have received exemplary care since day one. The front desk personal and nurses are great and their service is always quick and painless. It is the only clinic in town I would recommend.

Excellent experience today at Total Mens Primary Care. Very convenient scheduling and I was able to get a IV drip to quickly recover from a night out on 6th. The staff were all very caring and the fact they accept so many insurance providers is a huge plus. Highly recommend if you need to visit a clinic during your stay in Austin.

Super fast and easy covid testing! you can sign up for a covid test online and they have lots of time slots. I was in and out of the clinic in 5 minutes. Clinic was nice and clean. Results came back within the hour. Will come back here again!

Had to get a COVID test before visiting my parents. Walking in the two ladies at the front desk cheerily said hello and welcomed us. They were professional and polite which is hard to come by these days. We were seen for our appointments on time and received results in 15 min. as promised!

Went in for a rapid covid test. All paperwork was handled online before I came in so checkin was very quick. I was immediately brought back into an exam room and seen by the nurse within 2 minutes. The nurse administering the test was very nice and efficient. In and out in about 20 minutes with results in hand. Highly recommend this place.

I wanted a COVID test after attending a wedding the previous weekend. Total Men’s Health offered a Saturday appointment time that fit my schedule at a convenient location minutes from my house.The staff greeted me promptly and pointed me to contactless registration QR code process. The process was easy to complete on my phone. The test was fully covered by my insurance.I was seen and my test was completed in less than five minutes. I got my negative test result vía SMS within 30 minutes.A great experience from start to finish!

I needed to get a Rapid covid test and my daughter suggested I make an appt. At this place. They had an available appt. the very next day. I arrived and they were super nice and extremely professional. After a short wait I was in and out in 10 min. And had the result of my test (Neg!) in 15 min. I have been to other Men clinics and they seem to be jab and go. At this cliniic the doctor reviews blood work and discusses the test. They are concerned and make sure what medications they prescripe . The staff always greets with a smile and listen for any concerns. They take care of all my medical needs.

Super quick and friendly COVID testing service!! Grabbed what could have been the only remaining COVID test appointment in the entire city of Austin day of while every other location was unavailable for days. Paperwork took some time as always, but able to complete fully digitally on my phone. Test was quick and results (negative woohoo!) were provided promptly following my appointment. Will be using for all my testing needs going forward.

The team was so friendly! I showed up at 7am for my appt and still received great support from team members. Their onboarding process was super easy and sent directly to my phone so all i had to do when arriving was walk in and immediately go to the patient room.

Went to get a rapid covid test after travels to make sure it was safe for me to be around family. When I got there, a patient room was already available to me. They quickly and mostly painlessly swabbed up my nose, and I was on my way. I got a call 15 minutes later with my results, and they texted me a link. Would definitely go again for this purpose. Already recommended my husband go there for his yearly physical.

Convenient location downtown and had great experience with staff. Went in for Covid test pre Christmas. Immediately walked to room, attendant was in within 3 minutes and very friendly and knowledgeable (impressive given she had been there 8 hours already). Process was fast and easy, on my way within 10 minutes total and received txt with results in less than half an hour. Couldn’t ask for anything more!

I went here to have a walk-in COVID test and was able to get in and out in about 20-30 minutes. I am not sure how frequently they have walk-in appointments available, but in this case I was able to get one. I would recommend anyone who can use these services as there are not many other testing sites in downtown Austin.

Went in for a rapid COVID test. They had several appointments available that were easy to book online. The nurse tested me promptly after I arrived and I got a text message with a link to my results within an hour of the test. I would definitely recommend Total Men’s for rapid COVID testing.

I went in for a COVID test, and my appointment ran on time. Everyone was friendly and kind! I would definitely recommend! Also, very much appreciated that scheduling and prices are available online, which made it very fast and easy to book an appointment.

I was early to my appointment. Greeted with a smile. Immediately taken back to my room. Wait was very minimal in the room. The PA took her time and answered all my questions. I love this place and will use it as my primary location.

Dr. Steve was the man. He came off as super knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions. I felt as if he was up-to-date with the current medical literature. I felt comfortable, nay, I am excited, about establishing him as my primary care doc henceforth.The person who initially booked me and took down basic information (Joe), was also super solid & professional. The lady at the front desk too (Destiny) was super nice & efficient.10 out of 10 experience all the way around. Would recommend!

Last visit was very uncomfortable. Friday I get lab test and made appointment for Monday. I gave all information to front desk and ask if they were on network for insurance. She said yes. I come back on Monday and she says is not and that I have to pay 200$. I know insurance changes but is not that time. I understand things happens but she didn’t even gave options; she only said “so you’re canceling appointment today?” That made me so upset. This is healthcare, not a fast food. If I came here is because is important. She didn’t care. I talked to her on Friday and now she says we never talked about it. That same moment I ask for the results and everything was explained so quick “like a fast food” and in front desk where others can listen. Just be transparent. Don’t waste people’s time. If you are new or don’t know Say you don’t know but will find answer. Horrible attitude. Doctor consult was good. But I don’t want to have to interact with front desk novice vibes. I was going to pay the money but she said I didn’t talked to her about it. And I literally talk to her face to face and gave her my new card and she even explained me some stuff about it. I wouldn’t say not to come but make sure front desk is on the mood or paying attention. Document interaction.(2019)They responded to me super quick.They were able to be flexible with me because an emergency. They treat me super good. I felt so good and all my questions were answered and more... bye bye to my old doctor. I stay here. I use this location as my primary care, and I can confidently say my experience here is the best Ive had at a doctors office. They offer complimentary refreshments if you need to wait, which I usually dont. (Water, Coffee, Energy Drinks, Soda, etc.) The visits are always comfortable, informative, and quick! Lab result turn around time is also prompt. I have nothing bad to say! If you work or live downtown, then this is where you should go.

Setting up an appointment online was clear and simple. Check-in, even for a new patient, was quick and painless. I arrived for my Annual Physical and was immediately greeted by the receptionist for electronic registration, provided free beverages during my less than 5 min wait in the lobby, and the entire appt including a few minutes before PA walked in took about 30 minutes. The use of tablets to answer quick verbal surveys made each point of contact capable of quickly entering my medical history and establish a comforting rapport with the PA and staff. I can say without a doubt, the most pleasant doctor visit I’ve ever experienced.

I just moved to Austin and was looking for a new primary care relationship. I found them on Yelp late on a weekend evening and contacted for more info. To my surprise someone was answering me in real time and helped me set up an appointment.I had my appointment today. It was fast and easy and they seemed knowledgeable and caring. It was fantastic!

The staff is super kind! Facilities clean, and no long waiting period for when I went. I may be a novice at parking inner city….but I would recommend showing up 15 minutes before your appointment to have time to find a parking spot. Otherwise, a pretty laid back experience!

Went to go get a rapid test early in the morning and the service was great! I had to wait an hour but considering the demand to get these tests wasn’t bad. The person doing the test did a great job it was painless and quick. Highly recommend if you need to have a test done

I had a great experience. Eventhough they were short-staffed (just like most healthcare settings) they managed to get me in and out pretty fast. While talking to my provider, I felt like she listened to my worries and concerns. They all were fantastic!

Scheduled a rapid COVID test at the Congress location. The website couldn’t be easier to navigate and the check in process was fast and efficient. There is a $20 new client fee, but other than that insurance covers the cost of the test. Strongly recommend if you need results within 15-20 min!

I love that I dont have the usual wait twenty minutes past your appointment time like most other Dr offices.Small, efficient, friendly, and they give a damn too. Like they know you, not just another sick human to deal with.Super convenient, helpful, and definitely my Dr office for a long time to come Im sure.

I’ve had about 4 rapid tests now and this was the quickest and easiest! Check-in was quick and I walked straight back into a room where they swabbed my nose - all in less than 5 minutes. Parking was also super easy around the corner and I hardly had to pay since it was so quick.

I went in to get a COVID test, showed up without an appointment. The registration took less than 3 minutes and the test less than 1. Everyone was extremely friendly and I cannot recommend them enough!

I’m looking for a new Primary Care Provider and found Total Men’s Care. This was my first visit and they set a new standard for medical services. They have a great team and decent facilities in convenient locations. The downtown location doesn’t have parking, so that makes things a bit more difficult. Online scheduling was great and rescheduling was easy and painless. I like these folks and will be going back.

I met Dr Richard and he was awesome. He took time to go through my medical history and guided me step by step. I havent met any doctor like him who is so cooperative and explaining things.Jay, who I think is a med scientist there was nice and polite. He seems to have excelled while pulling blood. I didnt event felt a pinch compared to last place where it was so painful. u guys deserve 5 start!!

They charge you for a “visit” every time you try and fill a prescription. Beware! Trying to fill a prescription for 2 weeks. They can’t get their story straight. I feel like I’m losing my mind. They said they need the pharmacy to request the prescription, so I call the pharmacy. Pharmacy sends the request. Total Mens primary care tells me they filled the prescription, sent it to my pharmacy and it should be ready in a few days. Call pharmacy in a few days and they have no record of any prescription. This goes on for days folks! I finally lose my patience and drop the nice act and I find out 2 weeks later they need me to consult with a doctor. Doesn’t have to be a video chat or anything. Over the phone he asked “How’s the meds? Ok I’ll fill it.” And he told me I’ll be charged for that phone call. It’s a cash grab here folks. I’ve been on this medication for years. They did not need to see how I was doing. They’re the first doctor that needed that. It’s been 6 months since my last visit. Go here for desperation only, but keep trying to find a good primary care physician. I know docs are booked in this town, but keep trying or companies like this will continue to thrive. I don’t understand why this happened, my first visit with them was fine, but I don’t feel comfortable using them moving forward. Seems shady as F.

Great joint. I moved here in 2017 and needed to see a doctor in 2018. Place has ever since been my new home doctor. Friendly staff and no nonsense from the doctors. Always a solid solution and feel like my money was well spent. Great place to get testosterone levels checked and treatment options as well. Def recommend.

Everything from the online communications and check in to the fast and friendly care delivery are a dream come true especially when taking about healthcare delivery which has been decades behind every other industry in focusing on customer or user experience. I havent had a PCP in years. All my medical visits in the last few years have always been to urgent care clinics who typically have a 45 min wait at least. And I never bothered searching for a PCP due to the time it takes to go thru the list on my insurance and read reviews, etc.One night recently, I was talking about this with friends and a bystander overheard me and recommended Total Mens. After seeing all the positive reviews, I made an appointment for a sore throat and what I figured was soon to be strep or some other bacterial infection.I was seen immediately at their Congress location, sign in only took a few minutes. Dr. Chris Smith and his assistant Jay were all fast, friendly and efficient. The woman at the front desk, whose name I cant recall, was also friendly. I was given a prescription and feel better just 3 days after my visit, which in total lasted ~25min. And now I have a PCP in Dr. Smith!What an easy, quick, and non-intimidating experience. We are traveling and wanted to get tested for Covid. Several of our friends use Total Men’s Primary Care and suggested we use them for the testing.We made appointments on line which was easy. We completed our pre-screening information online. We arrived for our appointments and they tested us quickly. The results were fast. The staff was kind and professional. The facility is spotless. Everyone was wearing a mask or shield. We are thinking about making this our primary care place.

First time patient and I was quickly seen upon check-in. I spoke about my health concerns, had multiple tests done/ordered, had a plan set in place, and drove over to the drug store to pick up my prescription. We learned while flying to Austin that we needed a Rapid COVID test to attend a function at COTA. We checked many of the big pharmacies and no appointments for days. Then we found Total Mens Primary Care on Congress and we walked in without an appointment. The front desk was great, accomodating our need for the test. I was lucky to find Total Men’s clinic even though I’m a woman because I got a same day appointment and had no wait time. I was in and out in 5 mins. And I got my results through text in less than an hr. Super convenient!

Great downtown location. No waiting. Got a COVID test, flu shot and has a Rx filled in under 30 min. Doctor actually cared about how much the Rx cost and suggested a pharmacy based on it being considerably more affordable. Great experience?!

So easy to make an appointment and I was seen very quickly for a covid test. Registration and sign in was all done through your phone so they made it easy and paperless. I really appreciated how quick and friendly the staff was.

Dr. diagnosed my terrible cough as allergies although I informed that Ive lived in Texas for 5 years and didnt believe this to be the case. I then had to go get xrays elsewhere since they didnt have the equipment and was charged another office visit since they are not related. Called at 11 on Friday since I hadnt heard anything to be told to expect a call back with the results. Called again at 415 after not hearing anything and informed they were gone for the weekend. Finally, worth noting they want you to do another visit (at a cost) to go over your results of a physical. Normally this would be included. Terrible experience all around. Also worth noting, the receptionist is the person who took my blood for my physical which I thought was very odd. Not a good experience and the clinic seemed more like a sales room regarding testosterone therapy than an actual clinic.

Very strange experience. Intake nurse said she was having bad allergies, but was coughing, sniffling, and wiping her nose (not wearing a mask or gloves) the entire time she spoke with me. Made me very uncomfortable. I could then overhear her in the hallway speaking very loudly (to the doctor I hope) about my symptoms and reasons for coming in (there are no walls or doors to the waiting area so everyone out there heard). Feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable, 2 things you should not feel at a doctors office. Serious lack of professionalism here, and I get the feeling no one really knows what they are doing. Doctor was kind, but visit was very brief and felt rushed.

Arrived a little early for my appointment with Total Men’s Primary Care in Austin after entering my basic information through their portal and had no wait to be placed in a patient room. A nurse took my vitals and within five minutes I was be seen by a medical professional and on my way. The whole group was was great and got me on my way.

Travelled to Austin and needed a place to get a Covid test before seeing family. They administer the rapid tests at this location and it was super easy to schedule the appointment and the location is right off South Congress so it’s convenient. Friendly staff and they accept most insurances. Just paid a $20 admin fee. Even thought it’s a “men’s” total care, they do accept male & female patients for Covid testing. Got my negative result in 15 min and that was it!

My wife and I needed a rapid Covid test and Total Men’s Primary Care (downtown) was the location that had the best time slots for us. So although it was a bit of a drive, coming from Cedar Park, it was totally worth it. The whole experience was wonderful (as much as an appt for Covid testing can be lol). Very clean facility, wonderful staff, fast & efficient. Would highly recommend to anyone & everyone!!

I needed a quick COVID-19 test so I could schedule some surgery. Surprised to find a Total Mens Primary Care right downtown. Peddled my bike over and took care of everything in about 30 min. Very convenient. Nice staff.

Went in for new patient enrollment, physical, and to see about getting new prescriptions for Truvada to continue what I was taking before moving to Austin.Had no problems with any of it and the doctor also recommended the most cost effective places to pick up those prescriptions.Efficient service, nice office.

I’ve had great experiences at Total Men’s Austin Downtown location for physical and evaluation and other Austin location for testing. I saw Dr. Stephen Young Downtown and sincerely appreciated his ability to relate to symptoms and what would be needed to get better. The service at both Total Men’s I’ve been to was impeccable. Was seen right on time and testing was done right away. Honestly walked away shocked at how efficient my appointments were and my girlfriend could say the same as they also agreed to test her for Testing with hardly no wait.

Ive used Total Mens multiple times now for rapid covid tests, and my experience has always been phenomenal. Walk in, get tested, and have the results texted to you within an hour. Im usually in and out in under 5 minutes. Everyone is really nice and professional, and they are always on time.

10 mins late and they cancelled my appointment and provided no options. Staff was more concerned about leaving for lunch. They wouldnt have been delayed (quick question) but refused to provide any flexibility and were unreasonable. Disappointing.

Had to get a Covid-19 test for school. Total Men’s Primary Care made it a quick, easy, and painless process. All told, I was only there for about 30 minutes and by the time I left I had my results! Best testing in Austin.

Really hoping things get better but for now this place is a fail. Apparently, that is unless you are just coming for a covid test. Seems they are amazing at that.1) Both visits thus far, I had a trainee taking my blood pressure. The first one said I think its 190/100 to the trainer, who of course then took my BP and confirmed it was not even in the same city as that. Pretty much the same thing happened the second visit. Practice is understandable, but the trainees did not even seem to know how to use a stethoscope.2) The first visit, labs were ordered but no one ever actually took my blood. The second visit, blood was drawn by a very friendly and competent woman, but I have heard zilch since then.3) The first visit, I was told to log in to a portal to create a profile through which I could communicate with the practice and see medical information. I logged in and created the account but the only thing I can see are my appointments. Further, I have sent messages to the practice through the portal and see absolutely no evidence anyone has seen them. I certainly have not received a reply.4) Thus far, I have paid circa $400 out of pocket to get a) my prescriptions renewed and sent to the wrong pharmacy, and b)my blood drawn for test results I have yet to see.

Total Men’s Primary Care is a great option for a rapid results COVID or antibody test. I was able to get an appointment in just a few days, and the appointment itself only took about 15 minutes total. Great experience overall!

I have not a good experience at this doctors office. Not only did I feel rushed out, I expressed pain I was feeling and was met by quick conclusions for what felt like to just get me out the door. Furthermore, once I called the office and messaged my doctor to (again) express my concern for these pains, I was told I would get a recommendation for a cardiologist within a few days. Not only did I not hear anything back, this office took forever to upload my test results and only did so after I repeatedly asked for it. And to add even more, I was promised a bill in the mail within a week. When I called, they mentioned to me they were gonna send my bill to collections if more time passed even though I never received a bill after three weeks, resulting in me paying over the phone. Dealing with a doctors office that plays games when dealing with ones health is certainly not ideal. Do not recommend.

I went there for a Covid test and it was the quickest, most seamless experience I’ve yet had. Even as a first time patient it was super quick and they took my insurance. I’ll take a $2 street parking on Congress Ave to get in and out with what I need vs. a big office with a parking lot that takes up my time and commute.

We just arrived in Austin and needed a COVID test to enter the Blended Festival. This place was fantastic no wait in and out less than 15 minutes. We received our RESULTS IN PDF file within 30 minutes.

I saw their ad on Instagram so made an appointment for covid testing. Fairly good communication to set up, cancel, etc prior to the appointment. The link I was sent to complete patient forms wasn’t working so I was told to fill them out at the kiosk. I arrived prior to my appointment time (FYI they are located next door to 7-11. Parking is tricky but manageable), but the front desk has no idea who I am, despite my confirming my appointment twice. She insists that I don’t need to fill forms out at the kiosk, again no clue that I was sent a text with a broken link and told to use the kiosk. I fill the forms out, pay the $20 enrollment fee and gave her my ID and insurance card. FYI apparently they will only do antigen OR antibody test with insurance (this is my third test and I’ve gotten both with insurance at other places). Minimal wait time, and the staff (Doctor? Nurse? CNA? LVN? Who knows) that did the swab was quick. Polite but not the greatest bedside manner. Results were quick. In and out in less than 30 mins. Would I go this location again? If I was desperate, yes.

Im rating this place low because they require separate visits for different tests and refuse to do them in one visit. We wanted a yearly physical, a std test and a fill on a medication and they said it would be 3 separate visits. This is something they should disclose on their website. My primary care at Red River Family Health can do everything in one visit. Its not like this place is busy, they arent. They allow walk-ins. Its almost like they want to bill your insurance separately 3 different times to collect more money. The facility is nice; however, it seems like they are more interested in making money. They say its not and they are regulated by insurance but thats never been the case in the 10 years Ive been going to my primary care. Its inconvenient and costly.FOLLOWUP: I called my insurance and they recommended that I go to a different practice. They said that it WAS NOT the insurances policy to have different visits and that any policy of that type would be one of the practice. They said they want to avoid having separate copays for each visit and that having separate visits sounds fishy.I think Im with my insurance on this one and recommend avoiding this place.

This was probably one of the quickest ways to get a Covid test. Walked in, they sat me down with an online form, and in 10 minutes I was out the door. Results came in a text message less than half an hour later. Highly recommend.

Really impressed with the amount of services available with TMPC. Seems like there’s always an available appointment nearby. It was nice to feel like I was actually being listened to instead of being bombarded with Dr. Speak questions and rushed out of the room for the next appointment.

After going here for a few years, I have been hit twice in a row now by dishonest billing practices. The first time I thought it was a mistake, but after this second time Im pretty sure its their new business model. Confirmed as I look at the other reviews and see others complaining about the same thing, all within the last year.Before all my medical and dental visits, Im always careful to check what is and is not fully covered by insurance, and ask that tests not covered not be performed. These past two checkups, bevy of unnecessary tests are performed anyway, and I get a bill.I have made five calls to their billing department, and each time they say of course we cant bill you for tests I asked not to be done, and well fix this right away, goodbye. Then, two weeks later, I get an email reminder about my unpaid balance identical to the original bill. Im getting a runaround and its annoying as heck.

Since moving to Austin earlier this year, Ive been trying to find a practice I feel comfortable with to be my primary care provider. My experience with Total Mens Downtown was absolutely awesome! The staff was kind and helpful, the appointment was efficient but not rushed, and the online portal is very convenient for booking appointments.

I returned after my travels again and did not disappoint. Got an appt when I needed both times. Will be my clinic of choice and I’m a female tried and true. Clinic for men but can Covid test women.

Awesome place! I’m a high school teacher and in town for a UIL state debate tournament. Came down with a nasty chest cold and needed to see if it was COVID. Fortunately, it was not; but I was able to get in without an appointment, get tested, get out in under 30 minutes and get back to my students. Thanks y’all!!!

By far the best experience I have had a doctors office in years. Moved to Austin 8 years ago and found it difficult to get an appointment but the process was also overwhelming.I called Total Mens Primary Care and got an appointment within the next hour. I was in and out in 20 minutes. Front desk lady was super cool and doctor went above and beyond to help me not only with what I came in for but other concerns. Thanks for all your help again.

Total Mens has served as the ideal general care practitioner for me since living in Austin. The staff there is always friendly, caring & patient .. and Steven has taken wonderful care of me each time I have made an appointment. He really takes the time to help me understand any issues I am dealing with, and then works with me to develop a plan forward as far as prescriptions, their impact, and what to expect going forward.I would highly recommend Total Mens to anyone in the area looking for a General Care Provider.

Spent hundreds of dollars to talk to a person who is not a doctor for about 10 minutes. They sent me out for imaging, told me I could just walk in. That was wrong, needed to schedule for the end of the week, and spend more hundreds of dollars. Told me Id have results quickly (within 24 hours!), its now been another week since the imaging. They did call me so I could set up my onpatient portal account so they could give me results, seems they could have just told me the results when they had me on the phone. Im also not sure what good this patient portal will do, since I dont see anything, and Im not a doctor and dont think Ill know what Im looking at.Anyway, not recommended.

I made an appointment here on April 22nd 2021. Provided all information online with at least one day in advance.I showed up in time, paid my parking, checked in and in the questionnaire (just like when I made the appointment by phone) I wrote that based on a Google search, I may have symptoms of appendicitis. I was then directed to the room to wait for a doctor.This person showed up. Didnt even greet me and asked: do you have appendicitis?!, I said I only made a Google search and symptoms may be similar.He said, you have to go to the ER right now!. I said can you at least check me, ask some questions or something to validate that Google search? He responded, no, you have to go to the ER. I asked can you at least recommend one close by? He said some gibberish and I wasnt able to find anything near by.This person basically kicked me out of the clinic (without even trying to help) while I was in danger of dying and made me go and waste potentially precious time googling emergency care providers and calling them without much luck.I finally was able to find one that could help me and I drove myself there.I asked questions about insurance coverage and asked prices of things they wanted to do. They said we will deal with your insurance.Weeks later, I get the bill, I was on vacation. Which was ruined after seeing that bill, they are charging me $13,200 USD for x-rays and IV antibiotics.Even third world countries have better health care system that this horrendous worthless garbage in this country.Further more, I am not even healed yet, months later.I filed a claim and will try to get them penalized for this.Be careful with this place. You have been warned...

The facility is clean, and it was easy to find parking since downtown isnt very busy right now. The staff was friendly and efficient. The 15-minute COVID-19 test is exactly as advertised.

The entire staff at Total Mens has always been kind, helpful, and professional. I feel like they actually care about my overall health and everything is personalized to my specific needs. I went to Total Men’s Primary Care to get a rapid covid test. The process was quick and easy and everything went smoothly! I was in and out in about fifteen minutes. Highly recommend!

No wait, great docs, highly recommended. I found them because my insurance listed them as a provider and they are downtown, very impressed with the facility, the speed of the checkin, and their use of technology. Glad I found a primary care doc who I like and who seems to get how guys want to be treated.

I spent 1/2 hour reading reviews to choose a physicians office and decided to give them a shot. The lady over the phone was much more professional and positive to talk to than other offices I had called. I explained I needed a full check up as I had not seen a physician for years. They explained very clearly how they couldn’t do all the blood work I needed in one day because my insurance required it to be in 2 visits (scummy insurance companies). Everyone from the gentlemen taking my blood to the doctor were very professional and relatable at the same time.My appointment was at 10:30, I arrived 5 mins early, was seated within 2 mins of filling everything out, had blood drawn, saw my doctor and was out by 10:50. How often do you go to a physicians office so punctual on time? Great experience and highly recommend.

Got an appointment for a rapid COVID test last week and it was super easy and quick. They also had free refreshments in the lobby but needed hand sanitizer by the front desk and/or entryway door.

Quick and easy annual physical. I have insurance but I love that they have clear pricing for people without insurance. Transparent pricing is the reason I chose to come here. The doctor and nurses were also all very pleasant.

Canadian citizen in need of a quick covid test for travel regulations. Service was great. Facilities were clean. Price seems high, however is what it is.

I went here for a COVID rapid test because I was experiencing shortness of breath. I was worried they wouldn’t be able to take me because the appointment slots online were filled for the next 5 days. I was very scared but they graciously got me in and out with my results within an hour. Thank you!!

Very impressed with this practice - great computer for new patient forms, friendly nurse who got my blood on the first try (I have difficult and deep veins!), and very chill doctor who spent lots of time talking to my about my concerns and answering my too many questions haha. Very highly recommended!

This place was quick, easy, and painless. I needed a last minute rapid Covid test for a convention. They got me in, and out in less than 15 minutes.

The first appt has a few steps but 2nd appt onwards you walk in and are in the doctors room in minutes. COVID tested and results back (for free with insurance after the 2nd time, first time $20) and back out to your car in less than 20 min total. Hyper efficient. I’ve gone to a few locations due to available appt times. The DT Austin location was the least painful of the 3.

Starting to lose faith in them. Its been 8 days since my visit and still waiting to get my script. They sent it to CVS that is out of stock so asked if they can send it another CVS and they said itll take 3 days to transfer over. Im annoyed because with my previous doctor this would take minutes or at most an hour to change it to another CVS pharmacy. But here it seems like pure carelessness.Update: Steve called me and he was super nice and very pleasant to talk to. He sorted out the mess I was facing between them and CVS due to prescription not being available. He was very friendly and effective and for that reason im hiking up this score.

Went for a COVID-19 Rapid Results test as well as an antibodies test with no symptoms. Easy, fast, covered by my insurance, and online scheduling. Also everyone was really nice :)
