Manhattan Avenue Family Health Center - The Brooklyn Hospital Center

BEWARE: This is by far THE WORST DOCTOR office in New York City. The office is understaffed, the nurses are the receptionists and they are reading tabloids behind the desk. The nurses are terrible at drawing blood, they book appointments before the office is even open and they complained about giving me a referral to a specialist. The doctor I had never showed up on the days I was scheduled multiple times and once I saw her, she was complaining about her nails and hair. She also was trying to schedule me for tests that I did not need and were not relevant to my health issues. DO NOT GO HERE!! Your are wasting your time and money!

I am only giving it a 1 start because it wont let me post this review I should not even rate this place as it deserves no rating. My 74 year old mother in law has a wait time of 4+ hours every time. Its not like the place is that busy, or the doctor she is waiting for has that many patients. unacceptable for anyone to wait that long to see a doctor. The girls at the desk are not help at all, they look at you like youre crazy. when my husband and I heard of this we switched doctors for her . Do yourself a favor and dont waste your time on mediocre service and doctors. find a better place.

Terrible experience in this place. The medical assistants were very unprofessional. Then doctor visit my daughter and during the visit she didn’t explain to us any think and what my daughter went through. Also she didn’t fill up any paperwork for to be cover all those days furthermore she order a blood draw and the two phlebotomy didn’t know find a veins and when they finally find they left a marks in both side the arms of my daughter. So when we arrived in home we called and asked if they can send by email the paperwork for be cover in workplace snd they said they cannot send by email those paper so I have to go personally and pickup them and fir conclusion their MyChart doesn’t work at all. I would not recommend this place at all

It’s a mess. They’re a mess, the receptionists aside from 1 woman - are RUDE and can hardly be understood over the phone. The doctor is friendly but I need to communicate with her about certain issues and it is impossible because she is most likely swamped while the front desk is a disorganized disaster. There is only one person who knows what she is doing. I need to talk extensively about my bloodwork and they have said twice over the phone they would contact me and nothing. It has been over a week, I have had intermittent fevers etc..It’s a pretty terrible office. I have no choice but to go with a PCP here bc my health insurance is also terrible. Health care in this country is a racket and this office is a manifestation of that while I am still sick and waiting for a follow up and perhaps more meds. Terrible. Terrible.

Its a mess. The waits are long, the receptionists are rude and unhelpful. The doctors can be decent and one nurse was really kind when I was getting blood drawn, but otherwise horrible experience. It made me truly begin to hate doctors. I started going to City MD down the street instead of having to go here. Do not recommend.

I dont usually review places. However, I realize these reviews here are so old and inaccurate now. I barely wait any time to see the doctor from my appointment times. The doctor is very knowledgable, professional and she does not rush the appointment like most places. She also quickly found the problem I was having and my prescription was ready before I got there. I would highly recommend this place. I am lucky that I did not read any of these reviews before coming to this place.

This place is absolutely unbelievable!! SUPER unprofessional. It has taken OVER A MONTH to try and get a prescription medication authorized. I left 5 voicemails in 1 week and they refused to get back to me. They never have the answers and continue to tell me they have sent my charts to my insurance company and when I check back in, no one has been in contact or sent anything. I have no idea how this place can even be allowed to practice medicine. It is super sad and frustrating that someone who has been in a traumatizing situation cant even get a hold of someone who is supposed to be helping.. this is why our country is suffering so much and in a mental health crisis!

Dr.Levieva is awesome! She’s done better than average & always responds back to messages on My Chart just incase I can’t reach her via phone. She listens to understand and that I am very grateful for. My husband & I both see her & she’s been a great help staff is also at times friendly God Bless!

Appalling wait times. Waited 45 minutes only for them to tell me that two more people were ahead of me and that the wait would be another hour at least. They made me wait so long I ended up leaving and never getting care. Do NOT go here. The office is also disgusting and definitely not sanitary especially for times of COVID-19.

The rating of this place is clearly not current! Everyone i came into contact with was incredibly kind and helpful. The doctors and nurses are so helpful and patient. Honestly I’m shocked at the negative reviews bc my experience was great!

The Manhattan Ave Family Service offers poor quality customer service. Ive made several calls to Family Cares messenger service, who transferred my request to the office. Unfortunately the Receptionist failed to respond to my request. Only one receptionist was nice enough to copy my medical records, so that I could seek care elsewhere.

-*My experience here has ben wonderful. The workers all take care in their patients and show great respect to others.They also have a amazing Dental Department. If I had to suggest a health center, I would for sure recommand Manhattan Aveune Health Center :)

3 weeks of calling and I still can’t get my perception medication faxed to cvs. This is by far the most unprofessional place I’ve ever dealt with. Avoid at all cost. The doctors can’t manage the most basic level of medical care.

There is only one dentist here and she is very very very rude. Shes been here for a few years now and I didnt like her day one. I can go on to a whole paragraph about why and how she is so rude.. but I wont. Avoid if you can.

The waitt time are rediculus. One of the secretaries just play in her iphone for an hour that I am waiting. They say that they are oral surgeons but they are just dentists. Avoid them!

Customer service wasn’t good and the Doctor was wasn’t very pleasant either avoid this place
