Centers Urgent Care of Bay Ridge

I took my son in for an eye issue and was really happy with our experience. There was very little wait time. The waiting room was clean and spacious. The medical and support staff were friendly, helpful and thorough. So pleased there’s a good urgent care center in Bay Ridge! Would recommend!

I took my son to Centers Urgent Care today and could not be more satisfied. I give them a perfect score for each step: a prompt and courteous check-in, a spotless environment, an efficient MA and knowledgeable doctor. We were there probably about 15 minutes. My son was properly diagnosed and a prescription was sent to our mom and pop pharmacy. Kudos!I was so happy that I posted about my experience on Bay Ridge Talk. Much deserved!

Upon entering staff was very friendly and inviting. By far one of the cleanest offices I have seen. I was seen within minutes of getting there. Highly recommend.

Very satisfied overall. After my initial check-in at the front desk, there was little wait time before I was called into the examination room. Examined by a medical assistant first, followed by a PA who treated me. Facility is a clean and spacious environment. Would use again if needed and would strongly recommend to others.

The front desk and assistant were both great. They were competent, professional, and kind. The doctor, however, was awful. I went in sick with a sore throat, headache, and I was having trouble taking a breath. She came in the room, stood cross armed while asking what was wrong, shined a light down my throat and said, “yeah, it’s red. It’s probably viral. Drink lots of fluid and get some rest.” She then left. She was in the room for maybe 45 seconds. I’m sure it was viral, but if a patient says they’re having trouble taking a breath, I’d think you should at least listen to their breathing just to double check. She didnt lay one finger on me to examine me. The place wasn’t busy. When I left the exam room (after gathering my belongings) she was already sitting back at her desk.

My experience with them was fantastic. They were professional and really nice. Highly recommend if you need an urgent care center. They are the best in Bayridge and Dyker heights.

I am a resident of Bensonhurst and after reading the reviews by the Urgent Clinic near me I opted to go to one in Bay Ridge. The staff is polite and efficient and the clinic extremely clean. The wait to be seen by the nurse assistant and doctor was minimal. I would highly recommend.

Place is clean and receptionist is always nice. Never really a wait time. Today, the PA was nice but he sent my sons medicine to the wrong place which made me double the trip to where I need to go. We even triple confirmed the pharmacy and yet he still managed to send my kids medicine to the wrong pharmacy. Dropped a star for that.

I had cut my finger badly with a chainsaw (my finger was still intact, but with extremely deep cuts) … rushed to this urgent care and immediately got treated. I was also sent out and finished no more than 30 minutes later. Doctor was transparent with all that was being done, provided tons of helpful advice and insight without any trouble. I was genuinely shocked to how fast I was treated. The doctor was also extremely patient in listening. Even though I had probably repeated the same thing over and over, the doctor understood the shock and adrenaline was present enough, and the doctor constantly listened and answered every question/statement for me. It was genuinely calm, straight to the point, and a truly painless experience.

This was the best experience Ive ever had at an urgent care center. The place was so clean. The receptionist was amazingly kind. The doctor was so helpful and so kind. I came home and recommended the place to all my friends

Updated Review: I went to this urgent care to get my finger stitched up. I also needed a urine test which i did before getting stitched up. It was extremely awkward even though I tried very hard to use the wipes and do everything properly. It was no surprise that I got a somewhat judgey call telling me that my test was full of bacteria. I got that test redone elsewhere. My tetanus shot was not covered by my insurance.Otherwise, I received excellent care here. The staff was extremely professional, stitched me up and sent me home.

The receptionist was extremely friendly The medical assistant was excellent. Dr Castano really listened to my complaints and answered all my questions kindly.I already feel some relief and this is only day three of a seven day prescription

Couldnt ask for any place better than this facility. The staff was extremely nice, courteous and knowledgeable. The rep who took care of me couldnt be any better. To my surprise both of the staff that helped me called me after I left to see how I was and offer me more info. I would definitely recommend Centers Urgent Care of Bay Ridge.

Went in on a Sunday morning, all three people I saw that worked there were incredibly professional and helpful and I was in and out with the prescription I needed in 15 minutes. Super comfortable and extremely clean as well. Great experience.

I had a very strange experience at this clinic with cold/flu symptoms. I arrived early with nobody in the waiting room and I was seemingly the only person there. Dr. Huynh rushed through the exam, not using a stethoscope, checking my eyes, ears, lymph nodes or in my nose despite me reporting symptoms there. He did quickly check my throat. When I got home later I reviewed the summary of the visit to see he claimed he did a thorough physical exam when he did not. I called the office back to request that they amend the chart as it has incorrect information. When Dr. Huynh called me back he was incredibly curt, asking me if I was a medical provider. When I told him pointedly that I wasnt, he quickly said hed change the chart and hung up on me. Consider this a warning to any patients here (or elsewhere) to check your chart and make sure what they said happened during an exam actually did happen. I certainly wont be returning to this urgent care given how lax the compliance for medical reporting is here.

Really pleased. I had a qtip swab stuck on my ear and they removed it promptly, painlessly and professionally. I thought i would need an ENT

This place is fantastic evidence of how far “healthcare” has declined in this country. Everything here is a money grab and they don’t even bother to check insurance authorization before you check in and try toscam you out of a visit fee if they can’t sort your insurance out.Don’t waste time your time or money here.

Great experience I was seen fast and I was given the proper tests to diagnose me I had gone to Urgent Care and was told that my insurance would not cover the test that I needed but this place did that tests and it was fully covered. I knew the exact virus I was dealing with and was given proper instructions regarding my plan of care definitely this is going to be my go to place no more City MD.

I had an emergency with some extreme pain and for various reasons the other places I checked didnt have the equipment or skills I needed. A phone call to check Centers and they said they were could accommodate me. I went and did. The PA (Stephen) was excellent.

This place is usually reliable and I get seen quickly, however one of the doctors, I believe there is one female doctor who works there that didn’t really take my eye symptoms too seriously after a viral infection and coming in 2x, and I ended up having very intense pink eye the next day. I just went to a new urgent care the next day to prevent from going to the same urgent care 3 times in a row.. The other staff is great, just could have caught this infection sooner…

Phenomenal experience at this new urgent care center in Bay Ridge! The receptionist Reina was so helpful, smart, attentive, and supportive throughout the process and PA Tiffany was by far the most knowledgeable, experienced, intelligent, and thorough medical professional Ive ever seen at an urgent care center or hospital. I cannot give enough praise and appreciation for the swift and caring experience while struggling with pneumonia. Outstanding team! Highly recommended, highly appreciated.

Walked in after calling the day before to make sure they accepted my insurance. Only one person ahead of me online. I was nicely greeted and my information was taken in less than 10 minutes. Barely sat down until I was called in shortly after. Asked about my symptoms by nurse who took my vitals ... doctor entered within 10 minutes to discuss my situation and examine me ... my blood was drawn and doctor returned to to do a final consult.Entire process I think maybe 40 minutes if that. Extremely professional and efficient. Went ove my blood results next afternoon over phone. 10/10 experience. Highly recommend!

I went when my cold wasn’t improving to check it out. The staff was friendly and helpful got all the paperwork done before seeing the doctor. The doctor did several lab tests and made suggestions. It is my second visit very satisfied will go back if necessary.

Don’t waste your time if you need X-rays. I checked the website before going to make sure that x-rays were performed and it said that they were. However, when I arrived after providing my insurance card and ID, and asked why I was at the location I was informed that this location does not in fact provide x-rays.Please fix your website to be more clear!

I went into the new Urgent Care Center in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn NY with severe respiratory breathing problems and a cold.The staff were exceptional. They processed my medical insurance information quickly and I was seen by a PA in less than 30 minutes. I got my lab test results in less than 24 hours and a long with them, I received a follow up call from Urgent Care to see how Im doing.On the call, we made arrangements for me to pick up meds at a local store and for me to go back into the office to see a doctor at 9am Friday.I highly recommend the Bay Ridge Urgent Care as Ive experienced first hand their professionalism, care and effectiveness.First class, fit for VIPs

The staff at the visit were very nice, professional and knowledgeable. What II am hot happy with is that I.have been waiting over 24 hrs for my sons strep culture results and the staff says they have no idea when we will receive them. At this point I have no idea if he needs antibiotics. I think the delay is too long to have an 8 year old wait to know what his treatment should be. I did receive the test results later that night and the staff promptly sent over the prescription to my pharmacy. Overall the staff were professional and the facility was nice.

I felt very comfortable and well taken care of. Everyone was cordial and helpful including reception, nurse and doctor. This was my second time going to the facility on 79th and 3rd in Bay Ridge. It was quiet and very quick both times so maybe it’s still a best kept secret. It’s comforting to know this place is available for unanticipated medical needs!!

We call they say they except my insurance.I get there they want to charge me $150 instead of my insurance, I don’t know if they trying to scam me or what. I’m used to them billing insurance at a later time I don’t know why they want to charge me.

On December 26, visited because I was not feeling too good and my regular dr was on vacation. Quick check in, spoke to Tina who took my vitals and we spoke about my symptoms. Then, I saw PA Moomitu, who was awesome. She thoroughly listened to the summary of all my symptoms, gave me great advice for OTC nasal sprays, continued with my exam, and I left with my prescription. The entire process, less than 90 min. I never felt rushed. Im glad this urgent care opened so close to my house, an asset to the community.

The diagnosis was right on. Stephen Gamberg was very professional as well as his assistant. The Center is easily accessible. The young woman receptionist was kind and patient, since the system was down, and I had to return soon after. Overall, I would give it a good rating.

Quick check in. Less than 5 minutes before I was called in. Listened to my request and answered all my questions. In and out within 20 minutes with prescribed meds. Win win

After going by City MD and seeing a crowded waiting room and a copay without insurance of $220. I was so happy that I came here instead where the office was so nice, no line, and I only paid $150 without insurance. Plus everyone from the reception staff to the medical assistant to the awesome nurse practitioner were so efficient and helpful and actually listened. They got me in and out, but also didnt rush me and let me use a nebulizer for 15 mins. They also did quick testing and overnight rapid testing that gave me an answer within 24 hours and all the meds I needed to feel better. Thank you so much for such a pleasant and efficient experience! This will be my go to stop in the future if needed again. Very thorough and pleasant, well trained staff!

DO NOT GO HERE - THEY DONT HAVE DOCTORS?! I had a TERRIBLE experience at this place and wish Id gone a few blocks further to CityMD. The nurse practitioner basically consulted Google the entire time I was in the room. I had normalish blood pressure in my left arm and a bulging vein. Had high pressure in the other arm. I asked for a doctor and THEY DONT HAVE DOCTORS. She told me most urgent cares dont have doctors (thats not true), and that I was just being anxious and that she has anxiety too. She wrapped my arm and sent me away with a bag of Benadryl. Its now a week and a half later and my arm is still messed up. I dont go to the doctor unless something is seriously wrong, and would never go here again or take my family here. Youve been warned.

In and Out in 30 minutes. Everything is brand new and exceptionally clean. Everyone including the receptionist and providers were polite and helpful. Saved me a trip to the ER for a bad tooth infection. Thank you so much. ☺️

Been here a few times now and was hoping that the service would get better but they continue to disappoint as their nurse practitioners or PAs clearly do not want to be there and do the absolute minimum to figure out what the issue could be. You would get better urgent care at CityMD

I brought my 7 year old for urgent care. They were incredibly professional; attentive, kind, and efficient. They issued the right medications and throughout the entire experience that always had a kind smile for my son. I will always remain grateful. So happy that we now have this great service available in Bayridge.

As somebody who had to come here and spoke to my doctor and nurse about being in a state that was disoriented, anxious, and confused on account of a bad reaction to medication, I was met by service that was incredibly condescending, rude, and impatient and I am baffled that people who care for the public could treat people like this who are in states of stress and anxiety. Appalled by the rudeness of one male nurse in particular who took my information before speaking with the doctor, and pretty much shamed me for the state that I was in.

We took our son on a weekend as he was sick. The front office staff was attentive and the physician we saw was prompt, personable, and informative. This is the best urgent care experience we’ve had and will be our go-to urgent care.

The level of care was not good. Rapid Covid test (negative) & lab sent strep test (negative) is all they did. You would think if I came in with severe throat/ear irritation/inflammation they would do more. Nope. They asked to come back in to see the doctor for other tests. Why? 2nd charge to my insurance. Should have been done during 1st visit. I get better care and results at my regular doctor.Mind you this is a new facility and I figured I go since it was only a block away from my apt.

Got to say, I was pleasantly surprised by this urgent care.I went in with zero to low expectations and came out, completely surprised by how caring, and professional the staff was.I would not hesitate to go back there and recommend them

Its great to see UC locally in Bay Ridge. Walked in to get some cough medicine and was out in 15 mins. Made it on time to Pharmacy before they closed.Super efficient on last minute meds after work.

I made an appointment, arrived early with only 1 person there ahead of me and it was the slowest reception experience I ever had. I also was told I had a $75 co-pay even though my insurance specifically says on my card do not request payment at appointment (everything is done after the fact). I walked out because no one was explaining why I had to pay $75.

Not a good experience for my 1st and last visit. I was told swab would be sent out to lab for several test such as Covid, Flu, strep etc. when I received results 2 days later they only submit it for Covid. They called back and apologized for the “misunderstanding” but that was clearly a miscommunication on their part to the lab. They don’t seem to care! Waste of my time and energy

The place is brand new and very clean. Staff was courteous and knowledgeable. I hope I dont need a doctor soon, but I know where I will go if I need one next.

I had a pink eye i went to dr she gave me a eye cream. 5 days later i run out of it. I called for a refill. They said i had to go back to the clinic. So i went. They. Said they cant keep giving me medicine i m like why did you call me here then . And hey told me to go somewhere else !!

This is my 2nd time there. Loved this place — very clean. Front desk lady was very Pleasant and very Professional. I was in and out in 1/2 hr. PA was very nice as well. Will definitely go there again if need be.

I was a bit skeptical at first but after spending twice as much money with my own PCP who spent about 5 minutes with me and in the end prescribed an over the counter medication I’d been taking for 3 days and didn’t work. I went to Centers Urgent Care of Bay Ridge, which was the best decision I’ve made all week. They were friendly, quick and I left there actually feeling better than when I walked in an hour earlier. No kidding. They were great. I would definitely recommend.
