Dr. Spent 10 minutes in room with me and stated that 2 separate Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever tests taken a month apart were both false positives despite having symptoms consistent with RMSF. Told him the antibiotics prescribed by another Dr were helping with symptoms however he was unwilling to prescribe more and stated that RMSF does not cause chronic issues.....Think he may need to go back to school for that one. so disappointing trying to find doctors familiar with tick diseases.

My husband and I recently visited this clinic in preparation of several trips we have planned this year that require vaccinations. I had read a negative review of a previous poster and was a little hesitant about our appointment. However, we had a great experience and I was really impressed with how friendly and helpful all the staff members were. They took plenty of time with us answering all our questions and addressing some of our concerns. We left feeling very prepared for our trips- they even printed out an information packet with warnings and safety info for the locations we are visiting. We wouldnt hesitate to use them again for our other trips!

My husband and I scheduled an appointment last week prior to traveling overseas for our vaccinations. We shared the areas and countries we were visiting prior to coming into visit. When we arrived, we were told we needed Hep A vaccine and that they could fill our malaria prescription as well. We also were traveling later in the year to a location that needed Yellow Fever, so they were going to follow up with us the next day to schedule an appointment later in the year. We never heard back and followed up 1 week later on our malaria prescription. We were then told that they wouldnt fill the prescription and that we needed to come in for another appointment to discuss the recommended (not required) Yellow Fever vaccine before they would fill the prescription.A few reasons for our 1 star review:1. Im not sure why we didnt discuss this in our initial appointment or why this wasnt discussed even prior to scheduling our initial appointment vs. us being told afterwards (and told one week after with no follow-up at all; we had to call them; and also we are now within one week of our trip) and then forcing us to come in for another appointment. Also, even if we went in for this appointment, this office doesnt give the recommended Yellow Fever vaccine. Given we are one week out from our trip at this point, it would be impossible to get at this point (and remember its only recommended, not required).2. There was NO follow-up after our appointment on a) the malaria medicine being sent in or b) scheduling a follow-up appointment prior to our next trip until we proactively followed up one week later, which is very unprofessional especially when they had the dates of our trip.So basically, they are sending us on a trip without Yellow Fever (which again we were and are OK with given its only recommended, not required) but now also no malaria medicine. Thats sounds like a smart decision for a doctor to make vs. at least covering one out of the two potential diseases. But hey Im no doctor...

I have traveled to 60 different countries, and lived in Asia for 10 years. For the past 5 years I have used this travel clinic and love it. They are knowledgeable, caring, and cost efficient. I saw a post that someone felt they had a bad experience at the clinic, and I respect their opinion, but believe it must have been an isolated situation. If you are traveling, please do not hesitate to use this clinic. No matter what travel clinic you use, you need to have a consultation appointment as soon as possible. Two weeks ahead is probably not a sufficient time, as some vaccines take weeks to become effective even after they are given, and some are harder to obtain. I would recommend AT LEAST two months ahead of traveling. Yes, you might wind up going back a second time, but your life is worth it.I saw a post with problems getting a yellow fever vaccine. There is currently a world wide shortage of this vaccine due to production rates lagging behind need. Those of us choosing to travel to yellow fever risk areas are rightfully at a lower priority of receiving the vaccine than are those forced to expose their children to this dangerous disease every day. All clinics in the US are dealing with the shortage of this vaccine in the US, and hopefully the production will catch up with the demand shortly.Malaria medicines vary based on what region you are visiting, latest information about that area, your personal medical condition, and ability to tolerate different side effects. To my knowledge, the clinic does not fill prescriptions for the malaria medications, but gives you a prescription based on your particular needs. Most malaria medications need to be taken before traveling to be effective, so do not wait to make an appointment.I am not a doctor, so dont rely on my recommendations other than to visit a travel clinic asap if you are planning travel. And if you are a doctor or medical professional, please correct any mistakes that I made!!

OK, who dropped the ball and forgot to send my husbands antibiotics to the pharmacy? Your on-call doctor was no help whatsoever. You all should be ashamed of yourself.

Beware of anything Cone related. Pass them and use the Novant Health System. From Annie Penn to Wesley Long Cones health system is horrendous.
