Emilio Juncosa, MD, FACOG

I’ve been going here for so long and since Dr. Bosia has left nothing has been the same for me. The receptionist is rude and need to learn how to be more nice and how to properly explain things. I called to see if I can schedule a virtual appointment because I live a distance away and I already had to call out of work 2 times in 1 month for appointment. I had missed my 3rd appointment for my results because I forgot. Instead of saying “unfortunately we can’t do virtual calls because we don’t offer those options, so we will have to schedule an in person on **** day and you will be given a note for work” She said for the past 2 years this had been our policy and that’s not our issue it’s up to you to remember your appointment no matter how long away your appointment is. Then I went on to say I didn’t even get a call to confirm the appointment and she said it’s not our issue and chuckled. And to end the call said your appointment is booked on *** bye. She didn’t even wait for me to respond and just hangs up the phone. I thought that was so mean and to think I should trust people like this with my medical records and procedures Is crazy. This will definitely be my last time here and that’s so sad because I’ve been coming here for years.

I have been going to this doctors office for over 10 years since I was a teenager. Mind you with the same insurance. I had an appointment in January and I called to make this appointment at no point was I told I owed any money for any bills my insurance did not pay. When I got to my appointment, they told me that I owed $500 but if I paid in cash it would be half priced. This seemed very odd to me because I had received nothing in the mail or any phone calls from the office or my insurance. I told them I would contact the insurance. When I called the office back never in my life was I met with such horrible customer service by Jackie… who I assume deals with the insurance company’s. After multiple phone calls with her I finally emailed her convincing her that the insurance company needed the doctors office to call them regarding the bill. ( when I had spoken to the insurance they said what they were trying to bill me for was cover and should have been paid for). Jackie had told me she had finally talked to my insurance and that she would be able to schedule the appointment I had originally in January it is now the end of February. I went in for my appointment today and she told me the insurance is not paying. At no point again was I called by the office or contacted in any way to be told this. I work two jobs and dont have time to not be contacted via phone, email or mail regarding insurance issues. Needless to say I won’t be back. Worst customer service.

Dr. Juncosa has been my doctor for almost 30 years, he is awesome. Always has time to answer questions and makes you feel very comfortable. Office staff is fantastic too.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Juncosa for some years now. I continued to visit his office even when our insurance wasn’t covering his service. I saw him on 6/3 for an emergent situation and this is the second time as his patient I’ve had to do so. The staff recognizes the urgency and they get you in to see the doctor in a very timely manner. It’s greatly appreciated. Then him... he takes the time to listen to your concern all the time analyzing the situation. The analysis of my situation wasn’t palatable, but he made it easier to digest. He pairs medicine with compassion and I was able to get on with what needs to be done. I love him 😍

Dr Js office is very nice place to go. The reason I switched is because of long waiting times in my other Dr whove I had for over 20 years. My cousin suggested this office thats how i started going. This review is long overdo. Ive been using Dr. Juncosas practice for a few years now. When I had to change insurance companies my previous doctor didnt accept that insurance. Dr. Juncosas office came highly recommended. I havent specifically used Dr. J., however I see his wonderful PA Karen Bosia. I feel very comfortable with Karen. Karen is very thorough, pleasant and patient. I never feel rushed. I have to mention that the office is very clean, tastefully decorated & has great vibes. Good energy. The office manager, Patrice is awesome, extremely sweet & kind. Appointment scheduling is easy. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait to be seen, so bring a book etc. I dont mind the wait, because I know I am in good hands.

I love Dr. Juncosa. Hes been my gyno for many years and I wouldnt change him for the world. Hes knowledgeable, honest, and great at what he does. Ive even moved 30 min further away and have kept him as my doctor. From routine check ups to surgery hes been great! I can say the same for his staff. I dont know who they have manning the phone but they are extremely rude. First telling me I was overdue for a pap smear when I was not and then all but hung up on me when I was asking about how to obtain my health records. This is why I stopped going here and go right on next door to Dr. Siudmak. Appalled.

I had my anual appointment and they called me to asked me to get there 20 minutes later than my appointment so I didnt have to wait in the office. Outstanding service!!!!! The customer service is terrible, every-time I call the office with a question there is a rude woman who responds, and this is the first thing she says to me, who are you? Clearly, Im a patient, calling the doctors office. During my last visit, I asked her to make a change for me because the front office, where she works at made a mistake in my name. As a result I was unable to access my online test results, which was something that would of helped to reduce my anxiety that day. When I had asked her to fix the mistake in my name, instead of politely responding that the change had been made, she rudely tells me that I had already told her that three times. I had been so anxious that day that I didnt remember asking before. I dont understand why someone who works in a doctors office would speak to patients like that. You have no idea whats going on in someones life, clearly this person has no customer service skills. As a result, Im gonna have to give this doctors office a 2 star rating. I dont feel comfortable going there if thats the customer service Ill be receiving.

Dr Juncosa is a straight to the point knowledgeable doctor and that is what I look for in those that tend to my healthcare needs. I have never waited more than 10 minutes for my appointment which I know to many is important.

I showed up for my 2:20 appointment at 1:53. There was one lady in front of me that got called in and no one was after me. It wasn’t until 2:47 that I was called up to the window where Patrice (rude receptionist) told me that my husband couldn’t be on his cell phone. Meanwhile the last 53 minutes, we had to listen to her and other loud mouths talking, laughing, about being a spy on customers. MORE IMPORTANTLY, the window was open for us to hear her conversations with patients on the phone. Complete Lack of privacy. Needless to say I told my husband to take the call outside. Next, She is now just noticing that I changed my address even though I checked on the Check in sheet that I have moved. But that wasn’t priority I guess like talking loud and being obnoxious while having the audacity to tell my husband no phone?! Kettle calling the pot black are we? The cherry on top of the cake— I’m now told that my payment must be made in cash. To which I was not told over the phone, and even if she did her job properly and did tell me, why Am I just hearing about this now practically an hour later while there are no other patients? Only to be told I can reschedule! Is that a joke? I then ask to speak with her manager or my then doctor Karen, and without visibly seeing her I can hear her country accent say that has nothing to do with her. Perhaps not, but loosing me as a patient does, and this reviews that other people will see does. Another lady came to chime in, trying to talk over me, and I’m saying how can you give me an answer without hearing your customer out? Does customer service mean nothing to you? Does profesionalism ring a bell at all? What about when you first got hired and was on your toes? what about the customer is always right. Or better yet doctor Karen coming out to say my apologies for the inconvenience this is just our policy.Boils down to-53 minutes laterVery loud obnoxious conversationsLack of privacyRude to demand NO talking on phone (hypocrite)No change of address doneJust now telling me we don’t take cards. Care to reschedule?!By the way, if read this long, Patrice was always rude the last couple of years I’ve been going. I even just moved further out, But it was Karen that I came back to see as I felt comfortable with her. Unfortunately, never again. I rather pay more and be treated kindly and promptly. Another by the way, $190 for my visit. I’m sure I can find better. Hopefully a lesson learned.Thanks for reading.

Nurses are Nice and ProfessionalBut I want to see the doctor. The first appointed was last year. I saw a nurse. Then second and third appoint just got the nurse. Detail: the receptionist doesnt say you are not seeing a real doctor. I found out inside de room!And when I asked to see him( it was 1 month ago) the receptionist just said / he is not seen patients now or he is not available( something like that)Not sure how the other reviews say he is wonderful and could see him!Even requesting appoint for 2 months later, I was not able to get to know him!I am returning to my previous doctor that is 1 h away from my home( that was the only fact that made me look for a doctor close to Miramar and doc Juncosa was highly recommended!)A note to the office manager- please send the reception girl/ lady to a customer service trainingShe needs it urgently.
