Dr. Zhao is AMAZING and I highly recommend her!!!I have been struggling with infertility for a few years.I was diagnosed with endometriosis prior to starting IVF so I had surgery to get it removed. I have also taken a few months of Lupron shots to help suppress my endometriosis but my IVF transfers still failed.After multiple approaches and failed IVF transfers, I decided to start acupuncture. I saw Dr. Zhao 2-3 times a week for treatment and now I am FINALLY get pregnant!!!During my journey, Dr. Zhao was very kind, caring, and knowledgeable. Once she found out my pregnancy was finally smooth and stable, I could tell that she was genuinely happy for me.I am now in my 2nd trimester and I could not thank her enough!!!

I have been treated by Dr Zhao for over a year , for persistent severe facial and oral pain which developed after multiple dental procedures. The pain persisted despite additional procedures to eliminate it. I am very happy with her treatment as my pain has gradually and significantly improved under her care.She is a punctual and compassionate provider. Dr. Zhao is experienced, knowledgeable, and very kind. She has worked with me on a long-standing muscle overuse condition (I am a professional violinist), and her treatments have helped to relieve much of the pain and tension. I started acupuncture treatment about a month ago regarding some general health condition. Dr Zhao is very professional. My issue got lots improved already after 4 treatment. I like how they feel the pulse every 1-2 weeks and change the treatment plan and meds per that. Not like lots of other acupuncture place that they stuck with one treatment for months and don’t recheck you in between. Highly suggest Dragon Acupuncture!

I have been a patient of Dragon Acupuncture for more than 3 years. When my previous acupuncture doctor of many years retired, I was hoping to find someone as talented and effective as he was. And I found them!Dr Zhao is an extremely knowledgeable doctor with a wonderful “bedside manner”. She listens patiently to my concerns and focuses her treatment accordingly.The main reason I have seen Dr Zhao has been for treatment for my chronic stress-related ailments. I don’t understand why and how acupuncture works, but I must say that I always feel much, much better after receiving an acupuncture treatment from her. Her calm demeanor and gentle application of the acupuncture needles put me at ease. The office and treatment room environments are very soothing. After just a 30-minute treatment, I feel as if I have had an entire night’s rest. I am convinced that the combination of her precise acupuncture treatments and the herbs she has prescribed for me has prevented my stress from causing any serious negative impacts on my health.I saw Dr. Shi for “tennis elbow” pain. He too is very knowledgeable and a skilled practitioner. His treatments, including the use of hot needles, eliminated my pain.Acupuncture has been extremely beneficial for me and I am very grateful to both Drs. Zhao and Shi for the help they have given me. I would give 10 stars if I could. Dr. Zhao treated my lower back pain and leg numbness with only 6 treatments. Shes very nice and knowledgeable.

My wife has discovered Dr. Zhao for me. At beginning, I was skeptical about Acupuncture as whole. Since I have severe GERD for years and on medications, I agreed to give Acupuncture treatment a try. Dr. Zhao is very knowledgeable and have extensive skills and experience on Eastern & Western medicine. She has been treating me for the past four months and I do feel that my body has been balanced and strong again. My GERD symptom is also improved. So far, I am continuing my weekly treatment with her. On top of all, she is patient, respectful and compassionate, and I highly recommend her.

I have seen Dr Zhao almost 6 months now. She has been so professional, nice and caring during my fertility journey. I had miscarriage back in 2020, since then I haven’t got pregnant successfully. My friend introduced me Dr Zhao, and I came with hope. Before seeing her, I had done herbs and acupuncture at another clinic in LA over a year, but it didn’t work. I sought care with Dr. Zhao at Dragon at the recommendation of a friend whose health concern was greatly improved by the treatment she received by Dr. Zhao. As a nurse practitioner myself who had never utilized acupuncture/herbs for complementary medicine, I did not know what to expect but decided to give this treatment approach an adequate trial. Dr. Zhao administered acupuncture, herbs and cupping to treat my chronic condition that had not been much relieved by standard medical care, including several medication trials. Dr. Zhao is clinically very skilled and efficient, listens and explains well, personally very kind and professional. After about 12 sessions, I began to feel appreciable difference. I still dont know how acupuncture, treatments based in Chinese Medicine work and finds this clinical discipline fascinating. By how my body feels, I would say the complimentary treatments I received by Dr. Zhao have improved my symptoms. The benefits are subtle, but overtime I feel a new level of ease in my body.

Dr. Zhao is very caring, communicative and effective. My wife had insomnia issues for months, trying different doctors and medications without success. We heard great things about Dr. Zhao and after just 3 acupuncture sessions, my wife was able to get her first good nights sleep in months. It was pretty amazing. Seeing how well it worked for my wife, I also visited Dr. Zhao when I had sudden strong headaches, and she helped determine it was related to my posture. I started to see Dr. Zhao three months before my IVF egg retrieval and Ill be finishing my treatment next week (Im now 11 week from the 1st transfer). Shes been helping with not only acupuncture treatment but also easing my mind. She has really good bedside manner and always make me feel comfortable.On my transfer day, the office was not open but Dr. Zhao managed to come to the office and did my pre- and post- transfer acupuncture. Dr. Zhao treated my daughters hip issue with care and professionalism. She ask questions trying to find the core issue. Initial few treatments, she used acupuncture to help with inflammation, then last treatment, she taught us few exercises to help strengthen the weak area. Overall, she feels better. Thank you!

Dr Zhao was our acupuncturist during our fertility journey. I was 38.5 years trying to get pregnant when I visited her. I had IVF cycle scheduled and wanted to supplement it with acupuncture and herbs. Dr Zhao is very warm and caring and takes your health concerns very seriously. She treats and prescribes herbs accordingly. My AMH had improved in 2 months. My first cycle was very successful and I attribute this to her acupuncture sessions and herbs. My husband had extremely low sperm count as well and within 2 months his count drastically went up and was within normal limits. She treated us twice a week and prescribed herbs depending on your needs. We trust her completely and highly recommend her. I dont write many reviews, but Im hoping this review will help others.

Dr Zhao is a Super Doctor 👍😁 so experienced with so many different diseases & treatments! Excellent acupuncture skills, she also prescribe very effective herbal medicines. Although the clinic is always busy, but you won’t fell “neglected” nor waiting for a long time to see Dr, rather, the staff there are well organized & super nice: always make best efforts to accommodate patients’ appointment & shorten waiting time.

I’ve been very skeptical of acupuncture but I came to Dragon Acupuncture, desperate to relieve my severe, chronic neck and back pain. Nothing else worked. Dr. Zhao identified the problem areas right away and began treatment. She is knowledgeable and compassionate and her calm demeanor put me at ease. I have been suffering for years, so I knew it might take several treatments to feel improvement. With each treatment I noticed a decrease in pain. I first met Dr. Zhao shortly after she opened her office in Irvine, CA in 2010. I must admit I was quite skeptical about acupuncture initially but I figured it’s been around for a few thousand years and several billion people who use can’t all be wrong. At the time I had golfer’s elbow as well as lower back pain. After just a couple of visits, the problems were resolved. Needless to say, I was shocked and became a true believer. On another visit, I was reading some of her literature while in the lobby and learned of her weight loss regimen. I decided to give it a try and dropped 35 lbs. in just a few weeks…truly remarkable. Over the years, she has treated me for a variety of ailments all with great success with both acupuncture and herbs. I really can’t say enough good things about her both as a talented medical professional and a terrific human being.

Ive been seeing Dr. Zhao and Dr. Shi twice a week for 3 years. I was in a car accident in 2012 and I have had very bad back pain since then. After seeing four other acupuncture doctors, they all were not able to help me with my pain. However, Dr. Zhao and Dr. Shi have been amazing and my back pain is 99% recovered today. After the first 3 treatments, my lower back was still hurting when I would sit down and sleep. After the fourth treatment, the pain was slowly getting better and better. And now, my pain is totally gone. At first, I was doubtful about seeing acupuncturists, but after my great experience with them, I will recommend them to my husband and all of my friends. I found Dr Zhao on Yelp years ago and didn’t go with her. Wish I did earlier to treat my re occurring bladder pains for non bacterial UTI symptoms. After having 2 kids and being exhausted, symptoms came back along with Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. My symptoms got so bad I couldn’t walk and had to constantly use the restroom. The quality of life was just miserable. After a few sessions, I’ve felt alot of improvement and the pain lessen. Now I have hope for healing. Her office is clean and staff is friendly, professional and accommodating.

Ive been to several acupuncturists, the strip mall kind, stick a bunch of needles in you, tell you that youre cured, and bye bye... Not at Dragon Acupuncture & Herb Center, Irvine, CA. My acupuncturist, Dr. Zhao is a real doctor, smart, professional, and compassionate to no end. She quickly and expertly diagnosed the cause of my condition and started me on a treatment plan which has shown definite and almost immediate results. The office is pleasant, the receptionists are all great [and cute] and Ive never had to wait more than maybe 3 minutes for my appointments. In closing Ill just state that I hope I never have to see an actual M.D. doctor again.

I came to Dragon Acupuncture the day before Thanksgiving 2015 after I hurting my back and hip carrying groceries. I was in excruciating pain and could not walk without limping. Dr. Zhao did acupuncture, prescribed Chinese herbs and a heat patch. By the next morning I was 90% better! I was able to enjoy my holiday pain free. I could not believe how fast her course of treatment worked.I discovered Dragon Acupuncture 2 years prior after having a free consultation. I had terrible back pain and after Dr. Zhao examined me she told me that my liver was inflamed from taking too many pain killers. She prescribed Chinese medicine, a low fat diet and an immune boosting tea. My liver enzymes are now back to normal.Dr. Zhao is an amazing medical doctor and an expert in her field. She had help me over come many life and death situations, when other doctors have said there is NO hope, and that there is nothing they can do. Call Dr Zhao.I have a very complicated auto-immune situation unable to absorb foods and medications. After breast cancer the condition became worst. Once they said that I was going to die, we contacted Dr Zhao and went right to work on strengthen my immune system. For little over 4 years of working with Dr Zhao big improvement. My doctors have said on more than one occasion we dont know what you are doing but keep doing it. So we kept working with Dr. Zhao to help with all of my medical conditions.She is a very supportive and very caring doctor, and her staff is great. Acupuncture has been gaining popularity, which actually makes choosing a doctor very difficult. I found Dr. Zhao through my insurance. I then visited their web site to learn more. I liked the fact that Dr. Zhao (and her husband Dr. Shi) have practiced in China and in the U.S., and they have PhD degrees (which is an achievement in itself in China). My initial consultation with Dr. Zhao went very well so I decided to start treatment right away. I have a long list of health problems, and Dr. Zhao takes a holistic approach by combining herbal medicine with acupuncture. I no longer need to use inhaler for my asthma and my allergies/sinus problems are well under control. I am really glad that I found Dragon Acupuncture and Dr. Zhao!

I am not the first one in my family to become a satisfied customer of Dr. Shi. My husband treated his backpain and my mother-in-law treated her neck pain and anxiety at Dr. Shis clinic. Both had great results. So it is nature for me to think of going to Dr. Shis clinic when vertigo and neck pain hit me one day. It was quite severe that I dare not drive because turning my head to certain angel will cause dizziness. At first I was skeptical, but after the first treatment, I was totally amazed. The improvement was instantaneous and out-of-expectation. I can drive myself and resume normal activities on the second day. After 6 treatment, I am pretty much completely back to normal. Dr. Shi is very experienced, he can find my pain spots right on. He used different treatment methods, some are developed by himself though out the years. Both Dr. Shi & Dr. Zhao are very professional acupuncturists! I have serious low back pain ( I cant walk, and have to lay down ) and visited other two acupuncture before I come here. I had a great experience with Dr Shi. I am 39 weeks pregnant and there is no sign that the baby is coming anytime soon. While my OB said I can be induced any day, the chance of ending up with a c section is greater than 50% given my condition. I turned to Dr Shi for help to jump start my labor. After getting acupuncture for two consecutive days, my contraction started two days later. I checked into the hospital being 4cm dilated and gave birth to my son smoothly 9 hours later. Dr Shi is very patient and caring and the staff is very friendly, would highly recommend him to others!

Dr. Zhao is one of the best acupuncturists out there. I had sudden and severe bouts of insomnia due to stress and tried treatments from quite a few other acupuncturists without success. Dr. Zhao was able to fix my sleep issue with a combination of acupuncture, cupping and herbs. She has extensive experiences in treating insomnia patients and is very passionate about it. Insomnia wont be cured with one treatment, but if youre patient, sleep will come around naturally. I highly recommend Dr. Zhao.

I have had the best experience with Dragon Acupuncture. Even though my first experience with acupuncture in general, everyone in this practice is so professional and good at what they do. They understand the human body here. I have been going to treat migraine disorder. Not only have my migraines lessened in severity, but it seems to build my tolerance/ reduce my sensitivity to migraines, meaning I get them less often. I highly recommend going to Dragon Acupuncture for treatment of your ailments.

Dr. Shi and Dr. Shao are both very knowledgeable, talented, and caring doctors. I have been going to them for more then 5 years. They have helped me through many injuries: neck, back, shoulder, torn ligaments, hyperthyroidism, and to my surprise, are currently improving my hearing after having to wear hearing aids for 3 years. I was in pain in my lower back for more than 12 years, I tried Ph. I have been seeing Dr. Shi for several years. He is very knowledgeable, and he continues to educate himself with the latest information. I have full faith and confidence in his ability to help the body heal itself. I injure low back from playing tennis. Tried several months of PT focusing on psoas muscle area. Saw temporary improvement but didnt fix the problem. After few sessions with Dr Zhao, I saw huge improvement. I highly recommend this place.

Dr. Shi was amazing. I came in with Bell Palsy, after being told by several conventional doctors that at best the symptoms would be gone in 3-6 months with the right treatment. I have chronic lyme disease. Earlier in the year, I was on medical leave for 3 months from all of the various symptoms. I had anxiety, insomnia, headaches, GERD and multiple aches and pains in my joints. I started a new job in September and my symptoms came back full force. A friend recommended Dr. Min Shi. He has relieved me of all of my symptoms and even cured my plantar fasciitis with his silver needle that he lit on fire directly in to the spot of the pain.
