By far the BEST healthcare I have received in my life. The amount of support from every single employee is heartwarming. From the moment I walk through those doors I am always greeted with genuine kindness. The receptionist at check-in is always helpful. My doctors feel more like friends, and the nurses are so comforting. And the receptionist at checkout keep things accommodating. I am so grateful for the support.

Excellent comprehensive care. Physicians and staff take time to get to know you & answer questions that pop up. I am involved in decision-making in my care & treatment. Everyone from doctors down to housekeeping are very friendly and helpful. The teamwork from all the departments, it’s very impressive and flawless.

I have had quite a few appointments with the cancer center and every time I’ve enjoyed Julie for all the wonderful things that she makes me feel so secure and healthy. They are so blessed to have her there as a doctor and I am so grateful that she is there for others that really need a person like her, thank you very much. W. Michigan Center.

I just had my first visit with Dr Fakhreddine; he and Heather both made my husband and I very comfortable. They were both very good at explaining things and answering our questions. We expected to leave there with uncertainties and confusion about making the right decisions. They did a great job and we left comfortable with the decision we made.

Dr. Tormoen and his team were absolutely wonderful. The care, kindness and compassion everyone showed me during my treatment made a scary time in my life bearable. Dr. Tormoen and his staff went above and beyond to make sure that I understood all facets of my treatment. He shared his plan, and gave me the option for input. I was very pleased with EVERYONE at the WMCC. It was my first visit and I was extremely emotional and nervous! But my nurse Tabitha was amazing and Dr Grant was amazing as well. Everyone was SO kind and friendly EVEN the guy at the door!All my questions (that I thought of at the time) got answered. The fact that the WMCC is linked to MYCHART really made it nice! I was able to send a question that I had forgotten to ask and they replied the same day.NOT happy that I have Cancer and that I NEED treatment but Im pleased that I feel comfortable doing my treatment at the WMCC.

Out of all my Doctors, this was my favorite. Took care of the problem. Great team. Friendly at all times. Ill miss you but so happy I dont have to see you anymore! Take care!

I was treated with dignity and respect. I did not have to wait, my appointment was on time. My provider was a nurse practitioner and well informed about me and my condition. She answered my questions in terms that were easy to understand and welcome. Any questions that my family had.

Katie was very knowledgeable and nice. She made me feel comfortable by discussing future steps for me to continue my post cancer healthcare at home. Everyone at this location has always been incredible especially during an extremely difficult time.

I feel very lucky to have WMCC in our community. The highly skilled and caring doctors, nurses, staff, and volunteers have been both personable and supportive in my treatments and throughout my journey there.

They are great at this office. Julie is amazing, as well as Paula. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and answer any questions you have, without making you feel uninformed. Nobody wants to have to go to a cancer center, but this office makes it 100% better.

Very good. Its been many years since Ive been here. The remodeling is delightful. Staff is warm, friendly and courteous. Dr. was well spoken, asked and answered questions in a manner that did not confuse nor patronize.

Yesterday was my first visit at the W. Michigan Cancer Center. Dr. Hoekstra made me feel so comfortable and clearly she is highly qualified and an exceptional oncologist/surgeon. The facility is beautifully decorated and gives calm and clean feeling. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and well cared for.

Dr. McCahill was so kind, thorough and explained things very well. Going to a Cancer Center is fraught with anxiety and his kind demeanor helped alleviate a lot of stress. Kudos to the entire center as all the employees were equally professional and caring

I took my sister in law there. She has mild Dementia and Alzheimers. I feel the kindness from the staff very strongly here...it was amazing . From the security friendly greeting and offered to help direct us to where we were going.. they were very nice.We was able to enjoy drinks and then volunteers brought out snacks. Paula Lockwood PA-C was also very kind and we feel comfortable in her care.My sister in law has a very low tolerance to pain and they are very gentle. We have never had a bad experience there and she leaves feeling like valued paitent. We are thankful for Paula and this practice.

You could not ask for a better Healthcare facility or team of people. Paula Lockwood has been amazing in my journey, as was Dr. Hoekstra and Julie DiGiovanni. Attentive, listened to everything I had to say, compassionate and caring.

I was treated with the utmost resepect and given all the time needed to get information, ask questions, and have discussion about my treatment plan options. I have heard great things about WMCC and feel very fortunate to have a highly rated and respected facility in Kalamazoo. Dr. Mislmani was very helpful and knowledgeable, I have incredible confidence in him and look forward to being treated by him and the staff at WMCC.

My mother just became a patient of Dr. Mislmani. My mother and my family are so impressed with his friendly, caring nature and how well he explained radiation therapy to us. Mom is very pleased to be a patient of his. If you have to get cancer, having him as your doctor is a huge bonus.

These are the kindest caring people who really take time to explain the details of a scary diagnosis. Dr Munene is a wonderful surgeon who always gives me hope for the future. When his coworkers tell you that you are in good hands with him, believe them.

Dr.Tormoen and his entire staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They put me at ease. Answering all questions and concerns. I feel very comfortable coming here for my cancer treatment.

Dr. Munene is absolutely awesome. He did my Whipple surgery. His follow-up was so good. He has wonderful bedside manners.

Excellent care and concern from the front desk all the way through checkout. The doctor was on time, very knowledgeable and professional as well as being kind and taking his time to be sure we felt comfortable with and understood what we were dealing with. I would give them a 6 if I could.

I know nobody wants to walk in this building to meet with doctors, but I want people to know that from the first step in, I feel supported. The welcomes, the decor, the staff, the extras like snacks, coffee, before or after massage makes the experience as pleasant as possible. My doctors are so wonderful and helpful and so kind and gentle. I feel really listened to and supported. I highly recommend WMCC

The experience with Dr. Garth W. Tormoen was excellent. The nurse, Thabata, was very professional and friendly. Dr. Garth W. Tormoen made me feel calm, confident and safe about the radiation treatment that I will receive. The information received was clear and precise. He was very professional, patient and responsible. 5 stars.

Great reception, free massage and informative visit with Dr Schalowitz. I came to this center because of the doctor and found him to be very caring and a knowledgeable doctor. All aspects of my recovery has been very good. He listens and backs up his responses with factual information! The staff is caring and really makes you feel comfortable . I highly recommend them!!

Don’t even bother going to see Dr. Shalowitz. This was my worst experience that I have ever had in my life with a doctor. He had no empathy whatsoever and was the most uncaring physician I’ve ever had, not to mention that I have pain now from a minor surgery that is ongoing and he had no idea why. His response was “I don’t know, man”. Unbelievable. If I could give zero stars, I would. This guy needs to go back to medical school not only for training but also for patient care lessons.

Dr. Aschack and her associates are a pleasure to work with. They are very kind,supportive, and patient. I have only just begun my journey with her department but I am approaching it with knowledge and confidence.

My husband and I both were very happy with Dr. Munana with our initial visit. When you don’t think you can possibly process everything coming at you at once, Dr. Munana answered all our questions clearly and when we left we both had a much better picture of our journey.

The atmosphere in this place is always so welcoming and kind. They helped my mom when she had very early stage cancer and I chose to go here to get my own issues handled. The staff are very kind and my doctor was straight to the point and helpful. They are understanding of almost any issue or special need under the sun.

I cannot say enough on how fantastic the personnel at the WMCC are. The most professional and caring people I have ever been around. The treatment they gave me took care of my problem. From my first telephone contact with the practice to my actual session with Ms. Barnett, my session just re-confirmed my previous impression of the quality of patient care that they subscribe to. (I previously had a series of 30 radiation treatments there also.) In my opinion, a first-class operation, with concern for a patients knowledge of his/her condition and concern for the patients comfort in talking about that condition is placed uppermost.

I met with Dr. Toerman on July 12th. He was friendly, engaging, knowledgeable and thorough. He took the time to explain the process, pros and cons and possible side effects. Dr. Toerman took the time to answer all our questions. I felt very positive about the process and Dr. Toerman.

I have been receiving care at WMCC for almost 2.5 years and highly recommend it. Ive had both chemotherapy and radiation. All the doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, medical assistants have ALL been amazing and caring. There is a massage therapist there too, who will give a 15 min massage each time you go there and she is amazing as well. I always feel like Im in the best hands possible with my care there from everyone.

Dr. Hoekstra is the kindest, most attentive, most highly skilled and knowledgeable OB Onc physicians around! We are so fortunate to have her here in Southwest Michigan !

I have been going to WMCC for 6 years. The place is always clean and welcoming. Stacy Ochsenrider has been a wonderful health provider. I am lucky to be cancer free, but it also means I won’t be having visits with her. WMCC is a wonderful facility.

I was expecting to be pushed toward treatments I wasnt sure of but instead the Dr. was very understanding of my worries. He wasnt anything like I expected...HE WAS GREAT!

Getting cancer has been extremely scary and absolutely devastating for me, however WMCC has been absolutely amazing. My surgeon Dr Hoekstra was very caring and showed complete compassion for me and helped make the experience as easy as possible. For all of my follow up appointments I am blessed enough to see PA-C Julie DiGiovanni, she has been absolutely amazing and is always so kind, gentle and patient with me. It is so refreshing to have a team who is so compassionate, understanding and truly listen to their patients. I would give them a thousand stars if I could. I 1,000% recommend!

As soon as I walked into the building, I felt very welcomed. Everyone was extremely friendly, and made me feel comfortable. Everything was explained very clearly to me and that made me feel less nervous.

The staff is incredibly kind and caring. They listen to their patients and give them time to voice their concerns. The care I received was/is top notch. My “radiation team” stood out amongst all others due to their knowledge, professionalism, care, and sweet/fun/kind personalities.

She explained everything in easy to understand wording. Answered all the questions the we had, me & my mother. She is very caring & compassionate.

We were very pleased with our visit. Both nurse Laura and Dr. Brown were informative and made sure we had opportunity to have our questions asked and answered.

I have to say though, the very best part of my visit was Glenda the very large Labradoodle, who showed up early in the morning to hand out hugs and pets!

I had radiation treatments 11 years ago for breast cancer. I could not have been treated betterthan I was treated at the West Michigan Cancer Center, they were so kind to me then, and still are so incredibly kind and helpful!

Everyone at west michigan cancer center is very caring and knowledgeable. My experience was very scary but everyone was very nice and helpful!

Dr. Shalowitz is so calm, kind and quick witted. This was a difficult and scary journey I have never experienced before. I feel blessed to have such an amazing and supportive team on my side to get me through this. Dr. Shalowitz and his team took excellent care of me and calmly walked me through this process and journey. WMCC is a top notch place! The massages were very helpful before my treatments too!

Had the best radiation team ever. The care I received during radiation was the best. Follow up care is great.

My personal experience has been heart warming. From my first appointment I was treated with respect and understanding. My cancer is very rare and required 37 intensive radiation treatments. The staff made sure I was as comfortable as possible and always were ready for me at my appointment time. Dr Mislmani was always available at each treatment. The Beach worked tirelessly to care for me.

I’ve seen a lot of doctors, especially oncologist in past 13 years. By far Dr Hoekstra and PA Julie have been the best. They both understand the medicine side AND the humanity side of cancer patients. In my experience over past 12 years fighting, most in this field look at survival equals a win and they move on, forgetting about quality of life for patients. They both always make me feel heard and willing to be as aggressive or lenient as I want to go. Giving me all options, possibilities and support with whatever I chose. The office ladies are all amazing too. From their check in desk, to nurses who start the appointment, schedulers and the students observing they’re all so kind and welcoming. I pray no one ever has to visit this office but if you ever need gyno oncologist I would ONLY recommend this office and these two people. Dr. Brown, his nurse Laura, and all staff we have encountered at WMCC are absolutely amazing. They are thorough, thoughtful, and understanding. Never have we felt rushed or uninformed. Dr. Brown thinks inside and outside the box for treatment and is quite personable. Laura is an amazing nurse liaison who genuinely cares, takes time to listen to pinpoint needs, and is very knowledgeable in her field. We are blessed to have them as part of our care team!

I was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer 3 months ago and have had the most intensive treatment here. The care and attention to detail is overwhelming. You are treated with respect and treated like family! My prognosis is good and I am almost done with the toughest part of this journey! I would recommended WMCC to anyone!I am now in remission almost a year later and am still receiving follow up care. Dr. Hoekstra is my doctor and she is one of the most compassionate and caring doctors which follows through with the staff. Thank you WMCC for everything!

All persons of the staff we encountered were courteous, conversant, and most importantly compassionate as this is a tough reality to face. Couldn’t have been treated any better. Would highly recommend!

I am very pleased with the care I received. Dr. Hoeckstra and Julie DiGionvanni and staff are great. They are pleasant, respectful and always make sure the care you receive is their number one priority. They take their time and explain everything. I would recommend them to any one in need of a care team like them. They are the best. I travel over an hour to have them provide care for me. Wouldnt change it for anything 🙂

The doctor was very kind and patient. He took the time to answer all of my questions. His nurse, is the kindest person I have ever met. All through my cancer treatments she was always there for me. She and Dr. Redowski kept me from giving up. The world is a better place because of Tabitha and the doctors, and the radiology techs.

Staff was really nice. I love the people at the West Michigan Cancer Center.

Julie always takes excellent care of me. She always listens, answers my questions, pays close attention to my concerns n never acts like she needs to hurry off to her next patient.

Dr. Brown and his nurse have been very respectful, kind, caring, always happy they never seem in a hurry or have ever made me feel rushed , they both take there time to listen and answer questions. They definitely work very well together along with the other staff ! Front desk girl was very sweet and soft spoken, which is good due to confidentiality, her eye contact was very good !

I had the best experience with a Provider. She took quality time explaining my options and helped me understand what was going on. She gave me excellent eye contact and answered all of my questions. By far she is an excellent Doctor..top tier. She comes highly recommended.

Shes an amazing Doctor! She has compassion for her patients. She listens to your conerns. Shes honest but open-minded. She did a fantastic job performing a total hysterectomy on me, and my healing process went so smoothly. Im grateful for her everyday. The WMCC continues to provide excellent service, from the greeters at the door to the receptionist to the providers and ending with the scheduling for your next appointment. I go there for regular appointments over the last year and have never had a negative experience. All personnel seem to work together as an integrated team.

Took almost 4 weeks to get in and see the MD he was in and out so fast. He didn’t even realize he tried to order a test twice, I had to tell him I already had two done. Just seemed very unfamiliar with my case and in a hurry. Seems like a nice enough guy

I’ve been fighting cancer for seven years and I have to say a Bronson some of the greatest people work there took care of me and they’re still taking care of me today. I just like to think the nurses, the front, Dess clerks, the people who give me my chemo, the people who draw my blood and the people who give me blood from the bottom of my heart and my family’s heart. We love you guys. You do a great job and I hope you continue to do a great job if I left out anybody I’m sorry but the whole picture that you guys do they make us happy. From the time you walk in the door to the time you leave thank you.

Dr McCahill is the best melanoma cancer specialist I’ve ever met. He’s kind, careful and considerate. He takes the fear out of the future with a solid treatment game plan. I was unlucky to be diagnosed with cancer, but super lucky to have Dr McCahill and his team on my side. Highly recommend!
