NextCare Urgent Care Kingwood

I went to the clinic for lingering flu symptoms, prescient hacking cough, runny nose and body aches. I made appointment on line and also pre check in paperwork. All went smoothly from check in, nursing staff and Dr. consultation . I was prescribed medication for my symptoms and counseled on directions of how to use. Very good and helpful. I was very impressed and satisfied with care. I have used this physicality several times and have always been satisfied with my care. I Recommend this office .

I love it here. The nurse is one of the best and just so sweet and the main DR will always find a solution for anything. Don’t get me wrong it does take a while but it’s definitely worth it at the end!

It’s not as “pretty” as some of the other Urgent Cares around the area so one might drive past it and go elsewhere, but don’t be mislead by glamour! I’ve been here multiple times for a reason. Everyone is nice and they don’t brush me or my concerns off. They’re friendly and patient and I really appreciate these qualities, especially since I’m not feeling well whenever I’ve visited. Thanks everyone for being so nice!

The front desk took my symptoms seriously, Dr. Cantu did a thorough physical examination, and the nurse was very sweet and kind. They triaged my chest pain appropriately and I was able to get an EKG without having to go the ER, which saved me so much money. I feel like Dr. Cantu was very kind and showed genuine concern about my wellbeing. I would definitely recommend this urgent care to family and friends.

Had no problem making an appointment and when I got there I was literally in and out of there in less than 30 minutes. They sent over the prescription to the pharmacy right away and I got my meds right away. The Dr and all of the staff were exceptionally nice and pleasant to deal with. Exceptional place and will certainly visit again should the need arise.

Everyone was very professional and knowledgeable! The receptionist, nurse and doctor all took the time to explain in detail everything that they were doing as well as the results! Highly recommend!!

We got right it. The X-ray process was fast. The brace was perfect. Dr. Cain has amazing bedside manners and a sincere concern for pain level. The staff was polite and so professional. We felt very well taken care of.

I have had a bad cough for a week. We had a bad flood had not been able to go see a doctor. I made an appointment in line. I was taken back by my appointment time. Staff was very friendly. Doctor was great. Explained I had Bronchitis and called me in meds. Was a quick and painless appointment. I would definitely recommend.

Quick and easy sign in. We sat for less than 10 minutes before being called back. The doctor was friendly and happy. Very very good visit. I will be back.

I actually had a pretty good experience here twice, but the second time I came in for my ankle - I ended up in a boot and I’m docking a star for this reason: I asked them when they brought it in if I owed anything for it and I was told “nope! No charge at all!” Months later I received a $200 bill in the mail for it. Now, I understand they don’t always know, but I’d rather be told “I’m not sure” and if they possibly know the max cost to tell me. I could’ve gotten one on Amazon for $40.

This is the second time I’ve been to this location. The staff is the best part especially when not feeling so well. The doctor is extremely friendly and made me feel comfortable as a patient. The nurse and the front desk rep. Both are equally professional, and so very kind. Honestly, they have a good team and system. I never waited more than three minutes in the waiting room. The service was outstanding both times!!!! They legitimately made me feel like they sincerely care about my well-being as a patient. It’s hard to find good health care nowadays, and nurses and doctors that actually make 1 feel as if they care. Thank you so much for the amazing service this team provided to me not once but twice in the last year.

Went to the NextCare Urgent Care facility at North Park and my experience was great. From the Receptionist, to the beautiful smiling Nurse then to seeing Dr. Cantu everything was good. I was given good patient care and kind medical advice. Yes, I would rate this facility at a five star for medical attention and service.

The service was definitely quick, no long wait especially with an appointment made. They didn’t make me feel uncomfortable with any concerns I had or judge for my thoughts from googling to much and scaring my self. They knew how to help me with what I needed. All the staff were so friendly and supportive. It was my first time coming and I honestly don’t want to go to any other clinic because of the service I got and would recommend anyone to come here. Thank yall so much for seeing me and being so helpful and understanding. The most respectful people working in any clinics I’ve ever been to. I’ll be coming to y’all for anything my kids and I may need from now on.

The wait time was short and it was easy to input my information using the QR code. It was clean and the staff was friendly, and caring from the receptionist to the nurse and doctor. God forbid something happens but if it does, I will return. I truly recommend it. I do hope they can get some type of funding for renovations, other than that I loved it!

I have been going to this location for quite awhile and every time they are all so, friendly and answer any questions I have or concerns, and the all around experience is five stars all the way and more. But, I would really like Brag and say how grateful and thankful I am of Dr.Paul Lascuna and MA.Chris Escobar, these two employees are a great asset to this company, you will get nothing but the best from these two individuals, so helpful, respectful and careful listeners for any concerns you have and these two get you just what you need to feel better.Highly Recommend

They got me in and out very fast. My complaints are, it was so hot inside. It felt like it was 80 degrees and stale air. The entire place had light bulbs out and just seemed really run down and old. So not the most comforting place but there was no wait time, so that was a plus.

The front desk lady was sweet and helpful. The nurse very kind and helpful also the male practitioner was very kind and helpful as well

The nurse was nice and the doctor. But he did not throughly check my daughter. I ended up having to take her to the ER the next day cause her fever was not getting better. She ended up having covid.

I bring my son here and there is hardly ever a wait time. Staff was very kind, answered all my questions, and able to get me out the door fast with everything I needed.

The wait wasnt very long. The receptionist at the front desk was helpful. The nurse had a wonderful attitude as usual and was great with our child. The doctor was pleasant and answered all our concerns. I would reccomend NextCare Urgent Care.

Very friendly staff, check in was easy, and I was brought back, seen, and discharged with a diagnosis and prescription in a very timely manner.

I’ve been to this location 2 times in the past week. Once for my 6 year old and once for myself (22 weeks pregnant). They treated my 6 year old with such respect and understanding, we were extremely pleased with her visit. I decided to come in after a completely useless doctor on demand visit I went through at home. They were prompt with testing and validated my feelings completely. I would 100% recommend this group for any of your minor emergency care and family health needs!

We have used this location several times and had good and bad experiences. Without an appointment it can be VERY hard to get in and often the wait is very long.Online appointments are very easy to schedule if they have one available. Yesterday we went and had a very good experience with all 3 of my kids. The nurse, Qua, was amazing. She was efficient and light hearted. She made all of us very comfortable.

I came in to get my daughter checked out after a fall at school. The staff was amazing, especially nurse “Qway” (I’m so sorry about misspelling her name if I did.) Her personality and the way she took the time to be kind and patient with us was incredible and all heart. I’m so thankful I came here. The medical staff who worked the front was very helpful and kind as well. Doctor came into our room spoke with us, explained how he wanted us to proceed with result and gave us information to take the next step. I will continue to use this facility when I need to. So grateful to have come across this facility.

Minimal wait and plenty of time with the Dr.Staff very professional & attentive.

The drs always are quick to diagnose which is nice. My entire family goes ♡ Only downside is that the rooms are extremely dirty. The door was black where hands go, the walls and floors were nasty as well. But love the ease of getting in out.

Terrible experience. I would not recommend. Waste of time and money.The nurse didn’t know how to read a scale and argued with me about my daughter being 17lbs and I told her there was no way. She was just 25lbs a few weeks prior. Well she didn’t read the weight properly on the scale.Then the dr failed to prescribe anything to my daughter even though she had a fever for 3 days straight. He also completely missed the open mouth sores in her throat that her pediatrician pointed out the next day at a separate appt.

The staff was courteous, waiting room clean, as well as, the examination room. My wait wasnt that long... I was a walk in. The nurse was personable and concise. She took my vitals, asked the necessary questions, and no more than 15 minutes later the doctor arrived. He quickly assessed my issue, treated me, and gave me an action plan. Couldnt have expected more.👍 Oh, and I loved the online paperless check in. Sooooo much faster than paper forms !!!!!!!!!

I had to take my daughters in due to not being able to get into their dr. For being a walk in the wait was fairly short. The nurse Quay (Im sure my spelling is not correct) was absolutely wonderful! Very patient and kind. She took the time to listen to my girls about all their symptoms and addressed them both individually. By far one of the best nurses we have encountered in an urgent care. I hope she sees this review and knows that she is doing an excellent job. The Dr seemed to be rushed but also was thorough. We have definitely found our go to Facility for any future urgent care needs

I had my first visit. I made an appointment, before going. After paperwork, there was a very short wait.The staff was very professional and friendly. After finding out that my insurance had issues, they provided me with an affordable alternative source to help pay for my visits.For urgent care, I recommend this clinic. (Based off one visit)

I was extremely happy to be able to get a same day appointment. The check in process was very quick. My wait time to see the doctor was shorter than normal. The doctor was able to address my concerns and effectively answer my questions to explain my illness. The entire visit was about an hour and a half long. I was definitely pleased with my diagnosis, results, and the visit.

I love NextCare at Northpark drive they are fast and the doctors listen .I have been going there for years when I cannot make it to my doctor.It is very convenient.

I ended up here with my two boys after being turned away from two other pediatrics er for being full. I was so glad they were able to see us! Staff was super friendly and helpful. We were there for an hour and a half tops so not bad compared to how long we wouldve taken at a big emergency room!

I don’t use the best judgement, and my kids are walking Petri dishes. When I needed stitches immediately and my bride and I got sick, NextCare took care of us quickly and professionally. Great start. Great doctors. Little wait time. They’re on my speed dial for a reason. If you need an urgent care center, I can’t recommend them enough.

Decided to stop in after feeling bad for several days of head cold and a nasty cough. The clinic is clean with chairs spaced out and they offer face masks for patients. Love the fact that you have the ability to fill out the necessary paperwork online and even provide photos of your insurance card. The staff is nice and helpful if you need the help. Patients with appointments seem to get in and out pretty quick. I was a walk-in so note to self make an appointment next time! Dr gave me so good suggestion to feel better.

I went to this establishment 6/28/22 for a rudimentary flu test required by my employer to return to work. I was in and out in 30 minutes or less. Didnt have the flu, or anything else of consequence. Was told my insurance covered all but $75 which I paid at the front desk before leaving.At the end of July I received a check from Integrity Urgent Care for the visit in the prior month. It the stated to be a refund for patient overpayment there was a number at the bottom to call if there were any questions. I called and was told the check was as it said, and insurance covered the full visit. Sounds good to me. I promptly forgot about it on my desk, and eventually deposited it 8/24/22 after finding it going through the stack of papers.9/1/22 I started getting harassing letters from NextCare stating I owed them $75 and Id better pay. When I called again to figure out what they were on about I was told it was a billing error, and to ignore it. I did as I was told. 10/13/22 I received another, 11/17/22 another, 12/15/22 another, 1/26/23 another, and today... today... these idiots sent it to a debt collector that is now demanding payment plus interest and fees.Dear NextCare, get bent.

I needed to be treated for animal bites and scratches. I was able to book an immediate appointment through the website with no problems. Check-in was fast and easy. The staff were professional and kind. The receptionist, nurse, and doctor treated me with empathy, sincerity, and clarity. They communicated effectively when each one explained everything. This was not my first time coming to NextCare in Kingwood and will continue to go for any and all my urgent needs. I definitely recommend this location to everyone that needs urgent care. All of the employees were professional, courteous and friendly. Especially Quay. I dont mean this in a serious way but I wouldnt mind coming back in there just to see her. She was very very pleasant and that you Dr. Cantu took very good care of me.

I took my 3 year old to this location today with neon green snot poring from her nose and the corners of her eyes as well as a cough that’s keeping her up all night. We know this cycle all to well as our little one needs tubes and we are waiting to get that procedure done but in the meantime our only defense is antibiotics and we were so fortunate that we were able to catch the signs early enough this time before she gets so incredibly sick she can’t function. Unfortunately to my surprise and complete inability for understanding the doctor came in and said we have to wait until she gets bad to prescribe the medicine that will make it go away. So now we have to wait until our sweet little girl gets miserable and lethargic enough to pass the misery test in order to get the antibiotics she needs. I’m so confused and frustrated but relieved that there are other places I can take my 3 year old to get the care she needs. So much for heading off sickness in order to keep our little ones from suffering. I pray others read this. I honestly don’t want to even read the response I’m sure I’ll get probably stating that “ we like to save antibiotics for when we really need them” don’t want to hear it cuz it makes zero sense in this case !

Every time I go to this urgent care I am impressed. The staff is courteous and efficient. Dr. Cantu has seen my grandson and I several times and he is always thorough. Ive gone in with an appointment and without: either way the wait isnt very long.

Great speedy service and wonderful customer service. Only problem was that they charged me too much for my copay. I verified it while I was waiting and was told I would get a refund.

I didn’t have an appointment and showed up at lunch time so I did wait a little. The waiting room spacing was good, and clean. The staff was friendly and courteous. Young Lady up front was super nice and helpful! I only had my dental insurance card, so she was helpful enough to research and call my provider and get that information for me...checked me in and then had a copy of my insurance info waiting for me when I was leaving! The nurse was super friendly as well..noticed I was very nervous and uncomfortable about the Covid visit...walked me through test! Great staff...great service!

Well, they did a strep test and said. I did not have strapped throat and the doctor said. Well, you can use be profine. No I dont think so. My throat is killing me give me something for my throat

Dr. Cantu is very thorough and explains everything. He checks prescriptions before he prescribes to be sure that the patient can tolerate it with their current health condition. Staff is courteous and friendly.

If I could leave a 0 rating I would. I have always had good care at this facility until my son went in alone today. He jolted awake in the middle of the night with excruciating pain in his left side. It subsided some and he slept. Through the day it is still bad enough to call off work and my son handles pain. Snapped both bones in his arm in half and never shed a tear and was smiling so for him to be shaking in pain something isn’t right. He went in and the doctor pushed on his stomach once and told him since it wasn’t excruciating there wasn’t anything wrong with him. Totally ignored everything he told him even cut him off. Told him if it got worse go to the hospital. I can almost bet that if it hadn’t been a 19 year old boy alone this doctor would have shown a little more compassion and spent more time. Ridiculous waste of $75!!!! We will never go back.

Bad experienceThe doctor who attended my daughter was not a good professional, I did not think he was very good at his job.My daughter had persistent stomach pain, the doctor did not examine her as he should have, he just told her to open her mouth and that was it. He didnt touch her stomach or anything.He just said it was a simple stomach infection, he didnt send her medicine for it, he only prescribed medicine for vomiting and diarrhea, none of that helped, My girl was still in pain.Days later I had to deduce that my daughter had to go to a gastroenterologist and he found the problem.I do not recommend the doctor who treated my daughter in that clinic.And they charged a very expensive bill for nothing.

Not sure why it’s coming up my mums account but. This is actually Kathy Montes!! I went to the clinic on Northpark today due to a cough I have had for around a month. I’m not fond of doctors when I have to visit them but I don’t mind them if I’m with someone else who is sick or visiting after hours.With that in mind I can say, I don’t mind being sick if Quay is gonna be my nurse. No one could have guessed how busy they were based on her upbeat attitude and beautiful smile. I will tell you they were packed. I waited over an hour to be seen but she made me feel like I was her first patient of the day. She was very friendly, personable, super funny and had me relaxed right away.So many places are so busy that one feels like a number, but Quay made sure I did not feel that way. Hell I felt like we were friends out about to have lunch.Once I was called back they did testing and x-rays and I saw Dr. Cantu very quickly. For a person who does not go to the doctor when I should I can tell you this. If I know Quay is there I would return in a heartbeat. Hell I would make Dr. C my primary just because of her. Nurses, doctors and the office staff need to realize that their patients are people just like themselves. We have feelings and our time is important to us just as theirs is to them. When a person is sick they don’t want to go to a grumpy front desk worker, a rude nurse, or a doctor who doesn’t listen and is trying to beat his/her record time to get out of the room. It’s been a few years since I came here (pre Covid); the doctors are fantastic but it used to be $60 for a visit plus any tests. Called today because I needed to be seen and was told $350 now. Very disappointed, pricing has gone out of control.

Been coming there for years and great service. It’s also nice to be able to book the appointment online and then walk in and only have to wait a few minutes before going to the back

Was in and out within 30 min with an appointment. Super easy and way better then typical er or even my sons pedi where I wait over an hr sometimes so I really appreciated the effort to get me seen and gone quickly

This place is ridiculous. I made an appointment and still hasn’t been seen two hours later. The nurse told the doctor that our room was next the doctor shook his head and walked away. He went to people that came in after us. My two year old has been sick for three weeks now. WHY TF DOES IT TAKE THIS LONG TO GET SEEN BY A DOCTOR?!?UPDATE. Dr came in with gloves already on. Don’t know what he touched before he came in and examined my daughter. Also didn’t know anything about my daughter Like her weight. Their communication with each other needs to be better. And the nurse needs to fix her attitude! I went out to ask how long the dr would be since we had been waiting for so long. She caught an attitude I walked back into the patients room and she was still running her mouth talking loud and being VERY unprofessional!

Very nice and clean faculty but the wait time even with an appointment is over an hour. I had appointment for 3 and arrived 10 minutes early and didnt get called in til 4:10. Then once called in waited another 15 minutes before a doctor enter. I know urgent care is usually a long wait but this is my first time with an appointment and I feel the wait is the same with or without an appointment. Just know you will be still waiting an hour even with an appointment. So if you dont have an appointment dont let that discourage you from going, its about the same wait. The girl that arrived and check in right before me without an appointment still got called in before me because she checked in sooner then me. If I didnt have an appointment would rate them 5 stars because I feel an hour wait is normal for urgent care just having an appointment that didnt seem to matter was my only issue.

The front desk ladies when checking in are extremely friendly and always smiling. The nurse is also very nice and very knowledgeable. The Doctor there is just so sweet and makes sure that any questions you may have are fully answered. Great place, great staff.

Although this is an urgent care the Dr and nurses were so understanding and nice. They listened to everything I had to say and gave me great guidance.

My Autistic son stuck a small Lego piece in his ear. We arrived at the clinic barely checked in when the Dr.came out and said let me take a look. He got it out in seconds and with the easy check out on my phone we were on our way in 15 minutes! Wonderful staff!

Dr. Cantu was recommended upon moving to Humble. I now understand the high praise. A gentle soul & patient in his examination. LaTina was friendly & reassuring upon initial exam. Poor Stephanie had to deal with a drama patient with COVID & she was exceptional.

I visited another facility five times and was never seen. NEXT CARE was where I should have gone to begin with. The receptionist, TATIANNA was amazing and personable. She even SMILED which was unheard of at the other facilities I visited for help. I loved my experience and will switch my family to this health care facility.

NextCare on Northpark was recommended by our pediatrician as very good. I agree. The initial paperwork check in was all online but very well done. Seamless and captured as a personal account for follow up check appointments. The doctor and nurse were very professional. Took a thourough history picture of the problem. Everything was discussed and explained. My questions were answered directly. I was completely impressed. Thank You

My visit was very quick and direct. Luis the nurse practitioner is very thorough and is very patient with us. Answered all our questions and was very helpful and friendly. The place was clean and they practiced good precautions.

Service by the medical team and receptionist was great, but the check in process has gotten a little long and frustrating since my last visit. Luckily I was not feeling as bad as earlier, yence the visit . I was put at ease, after my visit so it was worth the effort.

Service was quick and courteous. Easy to Checkin using the phone. The Dr was really good. Listen and answered all my questions. Did not feel rushed.

The staff the nurse the doctor I’ll get five stars. Everyone was smiling joyful and happy on an early Sunday morning. They made my son feel comfortable and confident and cheering him on during testing. Experience was efficient and staff was very helpful. Setting up and completing the appointment also very simple. We are from out of state and all was very seemless.

We’ve visited here a few times now. The office staff and nurses are great! So friendly and kind. We’ve had a different Dr every time sooo I really can’t judge. We’ve been in fairly quickly everytime. Overall I’d recommend this office.

I had a negative experience back when I had COVID. But this is a different group of people altogether. I wish I could tell you her name, but the first smiling face I saw after my wifes this past Saturday morning (5/30/22) was a very friendly, very professional receptionist who endured my telling her that she is a spitting image of my sons wife. I was then given the most tender care by a professional x-ray tech who knows how to get the imagery she needs to get the patient served the best care possible without having to twist and tweak ailing body parts or exacerbating injuries. I am horrible at names, but I hope that if this review is actually read, the schedule can be verified and these women can be properly recognized. I am sure I am not the exception, but rather the normal way thus team handles patients. Thank you.

The receptionist was super sweet and friendly. The nurse who took my temperature and blood pressure was really nice, and the P.A. was really friendly and took her time to talk with me. So far, I have always had good experiences here!

Total waste of time. The front staff was impersonal and looked too bored to do her job. No trace of friendliness whatsoever. The waiting room, bathroom, and patient room looked as though they have not been cleaned in a long time. There was even a basket of complimentary waters with used, dirty tissues on top, very gross. The doctor was terrible. Dr. Cantu refused to listen to my symptoms and also refused to do so much as a basic physical exam. He blew off everything I tried to tell him and made a half-hearted guess at an incorrect diagnosis just to get us out of the room. He seems totally burnt out as a doctor and unable to provide adequate patient care. I cannot believe he’s even still a doctor. Very, very poor bedside manner and completely lacking any sense of professionalism, competence, or empathy.

We are repeat patients because we LOVE the entire staff! Also the facility is very clean and they practice safe COVID protocol. We have also found if we make an online appointment we are seen quickly. I highly recommend NextCare Urgent Care!

Son had a fever during this pandemic so of course I go to get him and myself tested. I forgot to check in online which is key to your wait time. Staff was courteous and professional as they always are. Love the Dr. he is very laid back and knowledgeable. I went for a sprained knee couple years ago and he helped me. Even found me a therapist in the area. Definitely would recommend just remember to get in line, online!

Was really impressed with Doctor Smiley and the staff. They were extremely informative and I was very comfortable having them treat me. Their treatment plan resulted in my medical problem being cured very rapidly. Would strongly recommend them to my family and friends.

I would like to update my post from last week. My cough was very severe and did not respond well to the original medications. I made another appointment for Friday morning and saw Dr. Cantu. After an examination and discussion, he recommended two injections and different medications. A few minutes after the injections, my cough stopped almost completely and my head cleared. I was able to sleep during the afternoon and had very little coughing during the night. When I got up this morning, there was no clearing of the sinuses because they were already clear! Thank you, Dr. Cantu and staff, for making me feel good again. I highly recommend the NextCare Urgent Care on Northpark Drive in Kingwood.

I checked in at 1:18! And I’m still waiting to be seen. My son is in pain. They allowed 3 patients in the head of us and I was checked in before them. Wait time is extremely long. I do not recommend this place as an URGENT CARE. Shame on this staff. My son was finally seen at 2:15

This place is wonderful. I am visiting king wood from New Jersey and had to go to an urgent care right off of my flight- so glad I chose this one! The staff is so sweet and friendly, the office is clean, and Dr. Cantu is very kind and knowledgeable! Had my severe uti resolved within 2 days so I can enjoy my trip. Highly recommended.

The wait time was a bit much but Art made it all worthwhile. My little girl was so nervous to get a Covid and Strep tests. He explained everything to her and was so patient with her. He made her calm down and he was able to get the tests done. Thankfully all tests came back negative and now she trusts doctors again.

My husband has been dealing with bad allergies. We’d heard good reviews of this clinic so made an appt.Altho he’s a heart transplant recipient we knew it was ok to not go to a hospital since he had no fever. All tests proved negative and he was treated professionally & was given appropriate medicine to hopefully calm his allergies. We’d def go back here! THANKYOU!!

By far, one of the best walk-in experiences I have ever had. Although we had a somewhat of a long wait time, that was due to a legitimate medical emergency, but we were seen relatively quickly given the circumstance. The PA was real down to earth, and had my sons check up done quickly and effecintly. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a good urgent care.

Would definitely recommend to all. Staff is friendly, professional and they make you feel welcomed. Dr. Cantu is an awesome doctor, I can tell he really cares for people and their well being. Only certain people in this life can make the most unpleasant of situations or circumstances into serendipitous events.

My wife and son were seen here. Was not busy at all. Staff was very slow and in no hurry at all. 1 person in front of us and we are still waiting now going on 45 minutes not fun when you have 2 sick loved ones. Will be looking for a new urgent care.

I have had to visit twice. Both times the doctor and staff were very hospitable. The doctor is very informative and nice. I will definitely use them again if needed. I also did not have to wait long.

If I could give no stars I would. They were out of Covid test but there was nothing to indicate that on the website and they only let me make my appointment online. When I arrived, it was less then 5 minutes from the moment I walked in the door to the moment I walked out. They all were extremely unhelpful. They acted as if they had something better to do and literally all they said was, “see a primary care person.” They didn’t ask about my symptoms, how I was feeling or for how long. Nothing. They couldn’t get me out of there fast enough. So I essentially drove 40 minutes for nothing. I know that this is a stressful and hard time for everyone but I would never allow myself or my staff members to treat anyone the way I was treated regardless of whether I am able the offer immediate assistance or not. I was very disappointed.

Every time we’ve been there the entire staff was amazing and took such great care of us. They are out first choice always if we are unable to see our family Dr right away.

Well, I used to think this place was the gold mine for people to get urgent care and not wanting to take up a new job to pay for a, being sick visit. Once they told me how much out-of-pocket expense I was probably going to incur I felt like I was at a hospitals emergency room. Several years ago the pricing was reasonable.This time I was in dire need of doctors assistance. I dont get sick often, Im talking years but when I go down with a sickness that I really need help with I showed up. when I get sick I want to go to a place that I dont feel like Im being ripped off. Well those of you who are reading my review and you have tons of cash and at your disposal this is this might be the place for you. But to those who are budget-friendly and they are looking for honest pricing this aint the place for you. Oh and by the way, we had insurance. It wasnt the best but at least we had insurance and still the fee was astronomically high.Conclusion: we went down the street and got the attention we needed! Thanks NextCare..............NOT!

I was a walk-in for a DOT physical. I received excellent service and care. The receptionist, nurse and Dr. Cantu were very pleasant and professional. I was in and out in 45 minutes. I am now very confident in using this nice medical facility. Thanks!

Came back for a simple TB Skin test read. I’ve been waiting since 5:58 pm it’s now 7:04 and still waiting. The only reason why I came to this place is truly for “convenience” hence the name NextCare Urgent Care...No since of urgency at all. The poorest customer service I’ve ever seen in health care I do not recommend this place. Please see your primary doctor if your schedule permits. I know I will!

My 2-year-old was running a high fever and I was unable to get him in to see his pediatrician. I found NextCare Urgent Care and off the bat I LOVED the way I was able to make an appointment for him online. After was arrived and checked in, I was able to see live when my sons name would be called. I loved that. The fact of knowing he was next eased my mind.The staff was very nice. The waiting was room was clean and the staff came through the waiting area spraying Lysol to disinfect the area. The nurse was so kind and gentle with my baby when he was scared. The wait wasnt long at all.The Dr. Logan came in and introduced himself and gently listened to my babys lungs and heart. He listened to me when I told him that my concern was that he had and ear infection. He checked his ears and found the source of the pain and fever, an ear infection. Some doctors in the ERs dismiss me when I tell them what I think is wrong with my child, but not Dr. Logan. I appreciate that as a parent.

Dr Cantu is very kind, and also thinks ahead! Knowing theres been difficulty finding Tamiflu pills in our area, he gave me an RX for the liquid as well as a back-up. This was a lifesaver for getting access to a time-sensitive medication for my kid.

Needed to be seen for a minor issue and my regular doctor was not available. I was able to get in and out fairly quickly everyone was friendly and I was offered a plan that got me seeing for less than my regular copay. All in all a great experience I will be back!

Came in for a cough. We were very happy to see they were open until 8pm. The young lady at the front desk was very friendly! We signed the intake documents and were seen right away. The office was clean and the receptionist was very professional. Ive been to a number of emergency rooms or urgent cares in the area and they are usually mean or make you feel like your bothering them. Not the case here! The doctor saw us right away and gave a prescription for the cough! Will be back. Also this is cheaper than going to the emergency room!

I went in feeling terrible and Nurse Harriet and Michelle were amazing. I got a breathing treatment for my asthma and it made all the difference in the world and walked out feeling a lot better than when I went in. They are very compassionate and concerned about you as their patient and want to make you feel better. I highly recommend NextCare. Thank you, Norse Harriet and staff.

I guess this place is more about money than helping people. I walked in right at 8:02 pm (2 minutes after 8pm which is closing time) I didn’t even look at the time, I was feeling horrible. The young lady at the front desk was quick to turn me away even though I looked like I was about to pass out. So I looked up another UC in the area in the parking lot while she busily chatted away with someone in the lobby. Thankfully I found First Choice right down the street and they were able to see me and helped me feel better. Definitely will not be returning here again.

Receptionist, nurse and doctor were incredible quick, professional, caring and thorough. I was excruciatingly in pain. In thirty minutes doc explained my I jury and how to deal with recovery. Nurse very assuring. Fitted crutches and boot and made sure I could navigate. I have visited nextCare in the past and will certainly return if,need should arise. Thanks!!!!

My boyfriends 2nd visit appointment times mean nothing here. Appointment was rescheduled a week before from 11am to 2pm with the receptionist, upon arriving we learn the clerks had changed to appointment to the 11am time in their books and still had the 2pm time on the online scheduling. We arrived 45 minutes early and are now at 1 hour past appointment and still havent left the waiting room. If it wasnt for Workers Comp we would leave, will never use services again.

For the most part Id never encountered any sort of prob, big or small during my visits to any of the several locations across Montgomery co... Today however I was really taken aback at the direct, unabashed judgement and distaste I was dealt during my assessment w/ the FNP (Liwayway Guadalquiver) on duty. At one point as one of the other nurses came in to ask the FNP something concerning another patient, she waited quietly for the FNP to finish what she was saying to me, not wanting to interrupt her midsentence I assumed, and tho the FNP couldnt see the nurse, I could,and when she heard what and how the FNP was saying/implying very directly disrespectful in her judgement of me for whatever reason, the womans eyebrows damn near lifted right off of her forehead before composing herself and asking what it was she had come in for. I dont think Ill ever return to that location in kingwood as Id hate to ever accidently come on a day that she might possibly be on duty...I left today feeling embarrassed, angry, hurt, and confused as to what prompted this sort of treatment to begin with...to say the least this woman could use a lesson in professionalism and secondly humanity n decency. Period.

My experience at NextCare, I was met by a nurse that made me feel very comfortable do to the fact Im not in not so kind with needles, though I made a mistake with me UA, her attitude stayed the same, she was very patient with my situation and helped me understand the process I was going through, she explained every thing where I was able to understand, all the staff was friendly. ?Ms.Qua, no her job, and she seem to have fun helping NexCare patients. A big thumbs up to this Nurse 👍🏿 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿!!

I had to visit their office late one evening. From the second we entered, everyone was very courteous and helpful. What I truly appreciated more than anything, is that the Dr. took his time explaining what my health issue was, gave me options, and he answered all of our questions. I am in stage 5 kidney failure, so Im not an easy patient to deal with...but he knew exactly what the best treatment for me was. Thankyou, NEXTCARE!

This place is a joke! I call for and appointment and was told there was and 30 minute to a hour wait. So I made an appointment , as I check in I told 2 different persons that I have to be seen no later then an hour for I had to catch a plane in 4 hours. I was told I would be seen in 30 minutes max! I waited for 2 hours and during this time I kept asking the nurse how much longer would it be and she kept saying 30 minutes. So when I decided to leave I ask the nurse again how long will it be to see a doctor she then told me since I made such an appointment today i would be at lease another 4 to 5 hours before I would be seen ! I ask why didnt they tell me this at the beginning and she laugh and said this is how they get to keep customers there!! Never less when she said that not only did I leave but several other patients left also. I could not believe what she said! Terrible service!!

Friendly staff, no wait time on Sunday morning. I did not give 5 stars because they have a new self serve online check in process that is lengthy & not user friendly with no paper alternative. It requires using your personal cell phone. Would not be good for older folks that cant see well, people too sick to figure it out, patients that do not have good tech skills or no phone. It also has glitches.

Over an hour wait time. Called someone else back before me because my paperwork was not put in line. Also, their system is down. Smelled like smoke and needed a deep cleaning. Xrays done on the opposite side of my injured area. Im sure I will need a second opinion. The medical assistant and the nurse practitioner that saw me, did not wash their hands before examining my injury. Everyone was very nice though.

I have been going to NextCare for years. The wait is usually at least an hour and a half. Today, though the wait was still long, was one of the best experiences there. The staff was friendly, and the doctor was sympathetic and helpful.

We ran around for two days trying to find someone to give us a Covid test. I actually had an appt at one place and when we (5) got there it was only an antibody test and they had no suggestions to help us. I’ve been to this clinic twice and both times they were both friendly, professional and quick. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone.

My fiancé went to get his COVID testing on a Monday. The actual visit was about not long but the wait was about 30 minutes even though we had made an appointment online. Upon arrival, my fiancé noticed how the receptionist kept coughing all up on his paperwork, and bragged about never having to get tested, and it just didn’t seem very clean. Also, I tried to call the clinic multiple times about results or even before the appointment to ask about rapid covid testing, neither times were answered. I left about 5 voicemails including the times my fiancé called as well. They should at least email results if they’re not answering any phone calls. I thought it was a professional urgent care, but obviously not.

I had no appointment because they were full but when I walked in, they were kind and managed to fit me in anyway. I am so appreciative of them being able to see me, especially with all the clinics being packed with Covid patients recently. Thank you to the doctors at the Kingwood clinic!

The NP was very knowledgeable and caring. It was surprisingly a good experience and I would recommend this facility. I say surprisingly because most urgent care facilities treat you like a number and want you In and out. This place was nothing like that and it is apparent the staff truly cares.

Walked in with 3 kids under 7 years old Sunday morning with no appointment. We were able to wait in the car for a text / call that it was our turn. Very gentle work with the nasal swab for both Covid and Flu test — my 6 year old didn’t cry, and it was MUCH better for me than flu swabs I’ve had in the past.Results done in 15 minutes, and at my request they called with results (I didn’t need a copy of the results).It will be our go to place for any Covid testing we need in the future!

I came in for bronchitis a week ago from last Monday. I will say that Im pleased with how quickly I was seen. However after my breathing got worse, I went back. I was put on an antibiotic for what I understood to be a secondary infection along with more cough syrup and a new prescription for an inhaler. Ive been taking the medicines I was prescribed. However, by today, my breathing had gotten so bad that I laid awake most of the night having to forcibly breathe. When I went in today, I was treated like I was wasting their time being there again, despite them seeing me struggling to breathe. They seemed to think that I expected to be over the bronchitis already and was just looking for more medicine that they couldnt give to me. Im quite familiar with bronchitis, since Ive gone through bouts with it over the years. However, theres a problem when, I have to continuously force air into my lungs. The PA that I originally saw when this started griped at me for going on the antibiotics, even though the doctor at the same clinic that I saw on Monday said that I needed to take the antibiotics. They finally reluctantly gave me stacked breathing treatments and prescribed a steroid inhaler.The breathing treatments helped tremendously. And with my lungs cleared out, Ive been able to use a facial steamer to help keep my lungs open. Im disappointed that I had to force the issue before they would do something to help my breathing. To the staff, listen to your patients and consider that sometimes you may have to think outside the box to help your patients. It may be irritating to you to have a patient come back multiple times but believe me when I say that I didnt want to have to come back and only came because I was truly struggling.

Kaylee was very friendly as was the lady who checked me in and the doctor who saw me. I was in 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment time and waited no time to see the doctor. Would recommend to a friend and will go again if the circumstances dictate another visit.

This was probably the worst experience I have had. After doing my non rapid covid test, they told me to wait and someone would be in shortly to release me and give me the documents. I had to go get them after waiting 45 minutes and they spent 30seconds in the room telling me that I would get my results in 3 days which i already knew.

This company submitted our insurance with the wrong information and we received a letter in the mail stating we owed them. On top of this they did not submit the correct medical tests to their lab and needed us to come in for more tests to correct their issue. Extremely unprofessional..

Its the first Urgent care facility I have gone to since moving to TX and I picked the right one. The staff is pleasant and very little wait time. I will definitely go back there again.

Girl at front desk was rude and was more worried about talking to a friend on the phone than the pain I was in. Then she couldnt verify insurance because of weekend and want to charge me double my normal co-pay. I left and went to MedSpring on Kingwood Dr. It was the best experience. Friendly people, very attentive, and they somehow could verify my insurance.

Today I had a very different visit than all other times. Place is neat, well organized, nurses and front desk are nice. I usually see 2 male doctors Dr. Cantu and I cant remember the other male doctors name. Today I saw a doctor that rushed me out, was not detailed at all just said, you have this and you need these prescriptions. Usually the previous doctors let me know what they see and what could be happening and why they are prescribing and what it is for. Tomorrow Ill be going to the HEB clinic to get a sacond opinion. The other thing was signing in online, before if I signed in online I would show up 15 before hand and I would be seen right away. Now it doesnt matter if you signed up online, you still have to wait for all the people that walk in before you. Before they had a TV that showed all the people that signed in and and walked in, so in the order they came or signed up thats the order they took in patients. I think there is no use for it if you need to actually be there in person. Next time I will make sure I call in first and ask what doctor will be seeing patients that day.Update: my ear pain is back after taking the in office steroid and antibiotic shot plus rx of 5 day antibiotic.I did not get a second opinion I, figured I give this new doctor I saw a chance.I will be calling in today hopefully they can prescribe me something for my ear pain without coming in again.My initial visit symptoms are coming back soar throat and ear pain. Im beginning to think Dr. Misdiagnosed and maybe I have something else

I’ve been visiting this urgent care for 14 years and never had an issue til today. My appointments was at 4:30pm and at 6pm still had not been seen. I was not a walk-in, but the dr saw walk-ins before me. I could hear the nurse and dr bickering in the hall about who needs to do their job… Never have I heard such disrespect. Then called me the “covid” patient and I was being seen for laryngitis. Then when finally seen they didn’t swab my throat for strep or anything; just called me in augmentin and shot of antibiotics. How do you even diagnose that without some sort of testing? I will NOT be back…

If you have difficulty writing, dont go here!I used to love this place, but now they expect patients to fill out all new patient paperwork EVERY visit. I have chronic hand pain and writing makes it worse. I asked if there was a way I could do it electronically or if someone could write for me, and I was told no.Today I left and went to the ER. Kingwood medical center got me in and out in under an hour. Now, Im going to look for an urgent care clinic that cares about their patients, in case my family catches what I have.

Although their website says they offer x-rays, make sure you ask if it is available. I feel like it was dishonest of them for not disclosing this information before taking their clients money.

They accept Molina insurance here. $60 copay for me.If you do not make an appointment ahead of time you can walk in and expect to wait between 30 minutes to an hour if there are people ahead of you. Now that I know I can check in online, Ill make sure to check in before I leave the house in the future.If you end up coming early and having to wait very long, I recommend you go next door to the furniture shop ( Skeros) where there is also a restaurant and a barber shop where you can get a haircut or shave before youre seen. I went to the furniture shop and found a lot of good things. They were making catfish. 🐈 🎏Back to the urgent care clinic...Dr. Cantu is a really professional guy. It was a basic professional meeting. I told him what was wrong and he gave me a prescription.It looks like they are doing some remodeling here. Some unfinished framing exposed. Unfinished surfaces and stuff needing painting. Nothing that takes away from seeing the doctor.I liked the experience here. Would definitely come back. To be fair, this is the closest urgent care facility that accepts my insurance.

Dont waste your time. They wont even answer the phone to find out if they accept your insurance. They still have the nerve to say thay are experiencing abnormally high call volume. It is not abnormal if it is the same message every day.

Been here couple of times and I love NextCare, staff and Doctors are great! I recommended my sister in law and she also loved it. She was happy with their services. The check in online is awesome I definitely recommend NextCare Kingwood location.

I came in with a lacerated finger yesterday. They took care of me immediately and only after they had stabilized my finger did they take my insurance. Logan made sure I didnt need a hand specialist before stitching me up with Saras assistance. Much better, cheaper and closer than the emergency room. Thanks!
