If I can give 0 stars I would. This place is very unprofessional on handling their patients who come into their doors. I came into the facility upon my appointment, they asked for my insurance card to “verify” if my insurance covers the cost and explained my insurance only covers $300 of the $800 procedure I needed to get done so I would have to pay $500 out of pocket. Which was odd because I then found out later that day they never reached out to my insurance provider as my insurance stated I was covered fully. The front receptionist then had me speak to their manager on the phone and the manager stated I can pay $250 now, then $250 on my next visit and apply for something that will get me reimbursed if my insurance allows it. Which made no sense and sounded sketch to begin with. I then gave the phone back to the front desk receptionist and told her I refuse to pay and she then started going back and fourth arguing on the phone with her manager being suspicious by telling her manager “I can’t do that, we are unable to do that” keep in mind all this was happening in the front lobby where everyone can listen as well. Wasting my time I left while she was mid argument on the phone with her manager and chose the right decision to go to planned parenthood where I didn’t have to pay out of pocket and was covered fully. Then to top it off I get a sketch phone call later that day at 8:30pm from a lady who works with hersmartchoice asking why I didn’t follow through with the cost and procedure. LMFAO BYE. This place is so sketch and unprofessional it’s sad. Don’t waste your time.

I recently went there with my friend . My friend went in with insurance and right away they said she would have to pay $800 upfront without giving any options or anything . The receptionist was arguing back and forth on the phone with what seemed like the manager or someone higher up. After the going back and forth she offered $500 and to pay half now and when coming back but the whole time she continued to say “ I can’t do that “ “ I was told we can’t do that “ I immediately recommend for us to go somewhere else because of how weird it felt that they were unsure about the policies . It’s already hard having to go through a tough situation. It shouldn’t be this hard and public to have people in the lobby know you do not have the funds for the appointment .

Ladies, Do not hesitate to make your appointment. I know some of us tend to see bad reviews and look another way. I strongly believe every review is based off everyones personal experience.I went in yesterday around 4:30 and was there for about 2 hours, please be mindful that they have to attend other patients as well. They were very detailed about the whole process, the staff was really friendly, they did not make me feel like I was being judge. I would recommend this place to anyone who is need of their services.

This is an amazing resource for women’s health care!! The staff was so incredibly helpful and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. The wait was surprisingly short and they don’t overbook so the lobby is very calm. I recommend this clinic for people from all economic backgrounds. I didn’t have insurance and they submitted an emergency mediCal request so the entire visit was covered. This will be my go-to from now on

It was my first time here and I wasn’t sure what to expect for what I was seeking. However, the staff were all kind, informing, polite and discreet. They explained everything to me every step along the way, so I understood what came next while I was waiting and what to expect, etc. I felt very at ease with each of them. Everything is neat, clean and organized. There might be a bit of a wait even with an appointment, but they really do keep it moving. I was in and out within 2 hours.It’s important to remember they are helping multiple people on any given day all with different needs and circumstances. Really grateful for them.

The staff were very kind and all were working very hard hard to address all the patients there. I was able to get a same day appointment. Cindy was doing so much to keep the patient flow moving. I really appreciate the care I received here. I wish they could get more funding to upgrade their facility a bit, but the office was definitely clean.

My medi-cal was mistakenly cut off due to a rejection for my cal-works. I was in desperate need of a service and I came here for the help. The woman over the phone informed me that the service would be free. She scheduled me for the next day in the morning. When i got in the next morning, I filled out and signed a few papers and got seen right away. I did feel a bit offended when the doctor told me i was “overweight”, but moving along. I had blood work done and a few ultrasounds and were sat down to understand what I am getting into. They gave me the first pill to stop the hormone growth and told me to return in 2 days for the second dose of pills. The only thing that made me uneasy about that was I am suffering from morning sickness and having to drive back and forth wasn’t really an option for me. Planned Parenthood gives you the second round of pills to take home with you so you can feel comfortable in your own space. You begin to bleed between 20-30 minutes after and i would’ve liked to be in a more comfortable setting. That’s probably one of the things I couldn’t get with but everything else was fast. They offer programs for women without insurance and make you feel safe and secure about your decisions. Very friendly staff as well.

Her Smart Choice saved me. I was unsure of my options and started to panic. My insurance told me Planned Parenthood was only option, however after seeing Her Smart Choice principals and the support. I decided to schedule an appointment. I didn’t feel judged or embarrassed. I was helped in a timely manner. Im so thankful for her smart choice

Cindy and The rest of the staff were amazing. I felt so comfortable and safe in their care. They treated me with 5 star care! Any woman who needs comfort and support going through any kind of health issues should definitely consider going here! God bless them!

I was a walk in and they worked with me and they find ways to help if you can’t financially afford treatment. They listened to me and my needs and were very sweet and attentive. I will be coming here over planned parenthood any day really loved the staff, the front desk the nurse practitioners everyone was so kind which makes experiences like family planning much more enjoyable. ——oh also wanted to add there is parking on Chicago street and it’s 50c an hour so it’s pretty convenient

After researching up so many clinics, I decided to go to Her Smart Choice. All the medical staff members and doctor himself were friendly and understanding. No one was judgemental and questioned my decision. They answered all and any questions I had. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience. You guys are amazing. Thank you!

I’m normally a patient of Planned Parenthood, however they didn’t have any appointments available when I desperately needed one quickly. Her Smart Choice was able to schedule me next day, which was awesome! Every single person that worked here made me feel more comfortable with everything procedure. They also explained every procedure to me so I knew exactly what was going on. Thank you for making a nerve racking experience that much better for me! Your hospitality is appreciated :)

I came here a couple days ago and really did not expect anything due to location. When i first walked in, the place is super clean and they really try to sanitate waiting areas and have someone clean the tables and the reception areas. Second, the people are nice and accommodating. I spoke with Cindy and she was very nice about everything, she worked around my schedule. I told her I have school and need to go there earlier and which she allowed me to. Third, THEY ARE SUPER FAST. I used to go to another women’s clinic and it usually takes me 3-4 hours to be done with anything but her at HERSMARTCHOICE, they did what needs to be done in only an hour and 30 mins max, thats including the labs and everything. Highly recommend the place and the people.

Hi so my experience was great. The girl at the front desk was very polite and my appointment carried out with Cindy Rincon who was very prompt, professional, and juat like every one else here, she was very polite! Overall a great place for any of your needs that they take care of here.

Had a really good experience here, every single one of the staff is very friendly and welcoming which really made me feel more comfortable. They have a bit of a wait but it’s completly understand as it’s a small office and they have a lot of patients. Highly recommend this location.

It was my first time ever coming to this clinic. I’ve never heard about it, but once I got here I’m glad I made the right choice in coming. The service here is great, it’s a non-judgmental atmosphere. I’ve gone to places where the employees make indirect comments towards others and myself, but thankfully I didn’t get any of that here. I would really recommend anyone who needs any services to come to this place, it’s definitely worth it.

Very very slow. Dont ever come here I been here 2 and half hours. I have another appointment at 3:00pm and they eat before they see patients! I have age since breakfast and Im not complaining. Get better staff and doctors!! Im going to walk in a minute!!!! Whats the use of making a appointment if you still here for dam near three hours.

The girls that attended me were really sweet girls, I was very scared and nervous but they made it very welcoming and explained the whole process to me very well. Would definitely recommend to any girlies out there who are looking for the help they need

I really enjoyed my experience at this particular clinic. The service was great and everyone was very nice and respectful. Everyone did what they needed to do for me to have a great experience and have me out down with everything I needed to do coming in. This is a great place if your looking for friendly and confidential services. From the moment I walked in I was greeted and received timely service. They were able to accommodate my schedule into services and made the visit and service as comfortable and as nonjudgmental as possible. Definitely recommend.

First time here; all employees are very nice discreet and respectful. Very well informed and made me feel comfortable with any questions I had and Helped me with my insurance and kept me informed. I will be returning for further services .

They are nice, they worked with me far as pricing and medical. I was there a while but I did take care of a life changing matter. The lady thats sits at the desk alone is the best. Thanks for everything ladies!

I highly don’t recommend this clinic!!! They basically don’t deserve a whole star. The receptionists are awful other nurses were practically doing they’re job so for the two receptionist in the front YOU ARE VERY INCOMPETENT And RUDE!!! You should go take a class and learn how to give better customer service & provide better information. The doctor was very hard to understand and seems like they didn’t know what they were doing or understanding the questions I was asking. Not organized and horrible service for a check up 2 hours wait and 20 minutes for the check up to leave.

I am a first time patient & I must say I did not expect the quality treatment I recieved. The nurses are super sweet and helpful & helped me acomodate to my personal needs. I was planning to go to planned parenthood but may I am I very happy I came here. It has been by far the best choice. Very greatful & will make this my clinic. Will recommend to whom ever needs it.

This clinic is not only dirty but staff is non compassionate at all! I cant believe this place is even open for business. Also be prepared to be there for hours. They are extremely slow! I was told Id only be there for an hour and half yet my wait was 4+. Never once did i see an actual Dr. while there either. Front end staff runs front and back! Also equipment is outdated.

I wanted to add onto my review so it doesn’t happen to anyone else. So I ended up taking the abortion pills, this place told me it was okay and safe to. The same night I was in the hospital emergency room being rushed into surgery for an ectopic pregnancy. This place missed it in the ultrasound and I could have lost my life. My blood pressure was dangerously low due to blood loss. I ended up having emergency surgery that night. Please, go somewhere else where they are more thorough with your exam.*They do not care what pain you are in after any procedure you go through. They tell you to go the ER if you’re hurting and OTC meds don’t help. It’s so wrong and unacceptable.

This clinic is very professional. All the staff members are really nice and explain everything to you. All the info you need they have it just ask! The accept medical as insurance cover. I would recommend this place.make an appointment and you’ll be out there in less than 2 hours.

I got there at 9am today was the second patient. There was 2 girls after me and they got seen and were gone before me. At last I was waiting for my ultrasound which the doctor gave to the girl in the front with died blonde hair and tattoos to give me a copy and she took her time and ended up leaving without giving me a copy. I had to ask someone else who did it then and there.

Please please please do not go here. Go to planned parenthood. The staff and nurses were so cold and completely insensitive. One nurse was wearing a shirt that said “Kinda Care, Kinda Don’t” and didn’t have a mask on. Another had really long acrylic nails which is not hygienic. Nobody explained the process of what would happen. No one was available to answer questions until after a bunch of tests which I ended up paying for, and they said they couldn’t take my insurance. The doctor asked to see me in the STAFF BREAK ROOM. Totally unsanitary and unprofessional. This place is a dump and a total joke. Women deserve better.

I came to this clinic when i found out planned parenthood didnt have a appointment for weeks later on something i needed treated right away ..so Her Smart Choice took me in the next day after calling ☺. The doctor is very professional, the nurses are nice and very confidential. I recommend this place to anyone, i will be using this clinic again if i ever need these services. I went here and this place is wonderful, the Docters concern themselves and know what theyre talking about, the nurses are nice and polite but the thing i love best is its CLEAN wait plus better yet your visit is fast and efficient.- A DAUGHTER WITH A DIFFICULT CHOICE.

Told me they took insurance. Found out at the end of my visit that it would cost me $550 dollars for my check up. Pretty annoyed because I chose them because of the financial viability. Long wait and some good staff, some rude. Would probably never go back.

I waited almost 2 hours to even get checked by the nurse didnt see the doctor i left almost 3 hours wasted. No privacy they will say things at the front desk that are personal. Made me feel extremely uncomfortable.

Dr Kothandaraman is such a caring doctor. In the lab, Blanca is so great with the blood draws you dont feel it and she doesnt leave bruises. I recommend coming here

Place is on a busy street so parking can be difficult. There is a parking lot about a block away and you have to pay. The wait time wasn’t bad. I waited about 40 minutes to be seen. The staff was friendly and they took care of my needs.

Horrible experience, called and they told us that as long as we were in school, we can get the abortion pill for free, we went to the clinic and they told us it had nothing to do with the free abortion and didnt offer the service. Scammers and liars.

Came in for a few tests on a early Monday. Everyone was kind and helped me quickly. I feel comfortable enough to come back.

The Receptionists were friendly and polite. I just had to wait longer than my scheduled time to see someone.

They have rud customer service at the front desk and have young employees running the procedures. If asked by the patient for a second opinion the answer is simply No come back.

I called here on July 24 in regards to cancel an appointment I had made this year I was unable to go because I had to help my boyfriend with something then set up a appointment on my dads birthday over the phone I was so tired I had almost forget then on the day of his birthday I called and this very immature lady in the front desk answer the first time she was nice I told her to cancel my appointment and she set me up with a new appointment on my birthday but I had completely forgotten it’s my birthday the very next day tell me why the second I had called this rude as lady she had the nerve to sigh over the phone then hang up in my face like grow up and stop acting like a child anyways this lady hangs up on me a total of three times like I don’t know if she was having a bad day or something but it’s very immature and unprofessional to take out your frustrations on a patient new or old
