There are not enough stars in the world to express my deep gratitude and appreciation for Dr. Laurie Binder. I came to see her because my husband and I are having difficulty conceiving and she has taught me so much more about this process than any other doctor or individual has. She is extremely knowledgeable in both eastern and western medicine, and her approach is focused on the whole person. Much more importantly, she is the most kind, caring, and genuine human being I have ever met. She genuinely cares about her patients, is always there to listen and answer questions, and has the most calming presence. I immediately feel happier and calmer after getting to see Laurie. I know its only a matter of time before we are pregnant because of the help of Dr. Laurie. The acupuncture treatments have also helped tremendously with my anxiety. I feel more at peace and less stressed about an otherwise very stressful process. I have been sleeping well through the night and am able to make healthier daily choices with the knowledge Laurie has shared. I am deeply inspired by and in awe of Dr. Laurie. If youre considering acupuncture, look no further!

I went to Laurie seeking help to get my period back after being off of birth control for 8 months. I had an initial phone consult with her and was immediately drawn to her warm and caring personality. I also appreciated that she used to work as nurse practitioner in fertility so she understood the western side of medicine. After 3 sessions with her I started ovulating (by tracking on test strips) and couldnt believe it! I could not recommend Laurie more as a practitioner, I truly believe acupuncture is what fixed my post pill menorrhea.

Laurie is an absolute gem of a practitioner!  I say “practitioner” because labelling her only as an experienced and knowledgeable acupuncturist isn’t descriptive enough.  Her previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner creates a unique perspective that is a privilege to receive. Combine that with her understanding of Eastern medicine as a whole (including the whole mind-body connection to diet and exercise) and her caring, passionate bedside manner, you have… well, what I said earlier – an absolute gem.For me, I couldnt have found a better resource to treat an ongoing issue that modern medicine knows very little about – Covid Long Haul Syndrome.   As far as I can tell, the progress that I have experienced could not have been possible without such a valuable “two-sided” approach such as Lauries.  The silver lining is that working with her has also reframed my approach to self-care as a whole.  Five stars and then some!!Joseph -Sherman Oaks

Sandra is amazing! I went to see her when I was very pregnant and had a wonderful experience. Not only was the session great, she was amazingly supportive and accommodating about my schedule given I could go into labor at any time. I would definitely recommend working with her!

I truly wish I could give Dr. Laurie Binder more than 5 Stars as shes worth at least 10! She has truly transformed my life in a very short time. I started meeting with Laurie about 5 weeks ago, having never done acupuncture and not knowing what to expect. She was so kind, ebullient, compassionate and patient (I ask a LOT of questions) while explaining the procedure, the needle point placements, the history of acupuncture and the benefits of the therapy.Just by taking a quick glance at my tongue and feeling my pulse, she was able to diagnose a Spleen Qi Deficiency. Obviously, I had no clue what that meant, but when she started listing the symptoms--chronic fatigue, anxiety, being a worrywart, trouble losing excess weight, bloating and gas--the diagnosis was spot on! And, honestly, I had resigned myself to the fact that thats just who I was at this point in life. But to my extreme delight, after just one treatment with Laurie I noticed tremendous improvements in most of these areas.Almost instantly, that incessant chatter and worry that had filled my brain for years was quieted; and, it has continually diminished with each additional treatment. I now have a clear headspace and can focus on things that matter and bring me joy - I signed up with a Personal Trainer (I had been thinking about it for 2+ years), I am eating a clean/healthy diet for the first time EVER, I have let go of toxic/unhealthy relationships that I held onto for far too long and I just signed the lease on a new apartment after vacillating for the last 6 months. All of this in 5 weeks! In addition to those tangible life changes, my energy is phenomenal, my sleep has improved, I have little to no mood swings (Im a Cancer lol) and I am the happiest I have been in many many years.I cant thank Laurie enough for her truly gifted work. I am, quite frankly, amazed by just how quickly and dramatically she has helped me transform my life for the better. I recommend her without reservation.

I was not a believer in acupuncture but my trainer insisted that I go and try it for several issues I had going on. Laurie was great. She was very patient with me when I listed all my health concerns. She was very considerate and caring. She explained my conditions in traditional Chinese medical terms which made a lot of sense to me. I was concerned that the actual treatment with acupuncture would hurt but it didn’t at all and I felt great after!Acupuncture works! Highly recommend.

Laurie saved me.I was diagnosed with Menieres Disease by an E.R. doctor during a severe attack while driving through Downtown LA. She (The E.R. doc) told me to go see an ENT so I did. I found the highest rated ENT on Yelp in LA and went to him. He told me that the Menieres diagnosis is usually wrong due to the diseases many symptoms and relative rareness. After multiple visits with him and an audiologist, he confirmed that I had Menieres. He told me that there is no cure and that I would need to reduce my sodium intake and then he gave me a prescription for steroids to help prevent any additional hearing damage. At this point all I had was despair. Looking at forums for people with Menieres Disease was not helpful. The last story I read was about a mother of 2 kids in Hawaii that committed suicide because her Menieres attacks were so bad. I spent my days stuck in bed due to extreme fatigue and dizziness, or trying to pay attention during meetings at work while the entire room was spinning, or trying to walk out of a conference room while every footstep I took felt like and earthquake. This was now my life.I had to go and talk to our Human Resources rep. to try and explain what was going on and why I had been missing so much work. As soon as I mentioned my affliction, her face lit up like someone had pinched her. She also had Menieres and had kept her symptoms at bay with acupuncture. I was so happy until I heard her say acupuncture. The last time I had been to acupuncture was when my mom made me go as a kid to help with my allergies. All I remember was the terrible herbs I had to drink. My attacks continued. I kept on missing more days of work. I would have to sneak out into my car to take naps because of the severe fatigue. I ended up getting the information for Laurie from my HR rep. and scheduled my first visit with Laurie. The first visit with Laurie was fantastic. Her warmth was radiant and her healing spirit really emanated from deep within. I described everything going on and how much frustration, despair, and fear I was in. Im paraphrasing slightly, but essentially she just looked at me and said Oh Paul, we got this.I started seeing her once a week. The attacks were still there. A few weeks after she had me start taking herbs. The attacks changed and started to be less intense at times and more intense at times. She told that sometimes these must get worse in order to get better and that what I was going through was a healing crisis. I put my trust in her and her experience. The acupuncture and herbs continued. About 6 weeks in now, I started noticing something new. The attacks were less frequent and less intense. 8 weeks in, even less. 10 weeks in, no attacks. There were times during the worst parts of my attacks when I couldnt even open my eyes because they were shifting rapidly in an uncontrollable and violent manner. Where I had to internally talk myself down from full blown hysterical panic because I had completely lost control of my self in every sense. I was missing days and days of work. I was scared to drive because of a possible attack. I couldnt sit in a meeting or have a conversation during dinner because of the dizziness and vertigo. That all went away after Laurie helped me.Ive not had an attack in multiple years. I only see Laurie now once or twice a month to just check on things and do maintenance. Ive gone multiple months without seeing her due to work scheduling and still no attacks.Thank you for giving me my life back, Laurie.
