I’ve watched the deterioration of this pharmacy since I started using it in 2020. A few incidents, nothing major. Today was the last straw. I called 1 week ago to fill a prescription. It was expired, they told me I’d receive a call or text when it was renewed & filled. I called a week later Friday & said I could pick it up Saturday, was told it would be ready. I called Saturday morning to confirm my pickup before driving.. lady said there was an error & person Friday tried to refill old prescription (same medication, nothing changed) & it would be ready in an hour for pickup 11:18am. I arrived at 11:40am to unfilled prescription, was told to wait another hour. Then comes back & tells me that I have to wait until Monday for insurance to authorize it? I’ve never had this happened or this kind of wait time in the 4 years of coming here, but definitely experienced communication issues. 4 employees, 1 week, a long drive & still no prescription.

I tried to give this clinic a shot, but they are a complete mess. They take weeks to get prescriptions filled, dont seem to be able to communicate with my pharmacy, can be completely tone deaf to patient needs. Its clearly poorly managed. Referrals take weeks to months for approval and they do not vet who theyre sending you to. If you want a high maintenance medical team where you have to do the heavy lifting(diagnose yourself, beg for the right tests, create your own treatment plan), these are your folks.

DO NOT PUT YOUR HEALTH IN THESE PEOPLE HANDS.Not enough staff on the phones, and probably why 90% of the requested call backs never happen. Emails not returned. Unhealthy results on lab work aren’t responded to by physician or their nurses. Reported red flag reactions to medications are swept under the rug. They accept my health insurance but require financial screening so they can receive additional grants yet ignore adverse lab results, aren’t available to schedule appointments, do not return emails regarding adverse reactions known to be dangerous from medications they prescribed, do not submit requested refills 70% of the time. All in all, they seem to be in it for the money but not at all for the patient. One exception FOR CARING PERSONNEL IS JESSICA FROM THE CALL CENTER. NO Gaslighting, rhetoric or condescension, but just true helpfulness. To confirm the validity of my gratuitous 1-star review and all others, notice that not a single negative review, even those that lack emotion but speak evenly with just facts based on their experience, NOT A SINGLE REPLY OR APOLOGY FROM THE STAFF.THAT IS HOW MUCH THIS CLINIC CARES ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS AND THEIR EXPERIENCE.IS THIS WHO YOU WANT YOU’RE MEDICAL CARE TO BE HANDLED BY?

There is no system in place for when doctors and pharmacists make mistakes. You will just suffer the consequences even if it means not having a life saving medication for weeks at a time.

AS I TYPE THIS REVIEW. I AM STILL ON HOLD AFTER 35MIN AND 39 SECONDS. TELL ME WHAT COULD THE FRONT DESK BE DOING? IT SHOULD NOT TAKE THIS LONG TO TALK TO SOMEONE ABOUT MY HEALTH CARE NEEDS. PLEASE TAKE DOWN THE RECORDING THAT SAYS YOUR CALL IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US, BECAUSE THATS A LIE. I am still on hold after 40 minutes..

I always get good treatment and care here from kind, sympathetic staff. Calling can be difficult but i just use the call-back feature they offer and i always receive a same-day call-back.

Based on my personal experience, Ive found the average wait time for medical appointments, including urgent ones, to be around 1 month. Lab results usually take around 2 weeks to come back, and the process of sending specialist referrals to insurance typically takes 5-8 weeks, with 4-6 weeks for the clinic to send the referral and 1-2 weeks for insurance to process it. If you need to be reassigned to a new primary care provider due to your current provider leaving the clinic, it can take anywhere from 2-3 months. If you are looking for hormone management services and your doses are already stable, this clinic may meet your needs. However, if you have chronic health conditions or require time-sensitive medical attention, it may be best to seek care elsewhere.

Im absolutely done with this place !! How is it I can have an STI on.a Monday and still have NOT received treatment as of Thursday? Between the inability to get in touch with anyone there quickly and the aloof, pompous and impersonal aiura that the center gives off it has been a back and forth POLICY OVER PATIENT CARE situation. This place is so huge now that no one who works there would even know me on the street or 5 mon after I left the building . Its bureIucratic and mechanical and can feel a lot like they are AI working in a clinic. I have been with them 15 years and they still wont even notice that Ive left .... Or care.

I have gone in and been rescheduled three different times for one testing appointment. If you don’t set up an appointment for the EXACT type of testing you’re looking for, they will make you reschedule after you arrive. There are three different types of check ups for STI or blood work. Also, you can only get a phone call set up with a doctor, no in-person appointments, and appointments are usually a month out. I now go to another clinic and doctors office if Im looking for better service.

No way to contact physician directly, only through App messaging, which is diverted by staff and often not replied to in a reasonable amount of time,Trying to call the clinic is frustrating , with unacceptable wait times. Not everything is an emergency, and urgent care is very limited within the Clinics medical group, so time sensitive medical issues often go unattended in a timely manner.

The clinic is loverly! The lab for the blood draw is pristine, and the staff are definitely on top of it. The doctors are wonderful as are the nurses and other support staff are functioning on a solid and professional level. The pharmacy never seems to be there to pick up the phone...They have an answering service, but never seem to find the time to return calls. Theyre cool people at the window and in person, but their inability to use a phone kinda sours the whole experience.I come a loooooong way to handle my appointments so Showing up without knowing for sure whether Im going there to see someone or get medications... It has the potential to makes thing more complicated and frustrating than they need to be. I hope they solve this soon.

I receive a variety of services. I find it to the best for the services that I needed. Its really nice that its close to the red line, it has a pharmacy downstairs, and they use followupheart app which can be important If you like to see your chart, on the go. Be your best advocate. The doctors have 15 minutes to see you so have your questions in mind when you get there. They have a digital appointment sign in so there is typically no lines for waiting. Two down falls. The wait to reach someone can be 30 minutes or longer. They will hopefully hire more people to answer the phones. Be prepared! ! ! I gave it 4 stars because of this.

I have had horrible experiences with staff here. They cancel my appointments and do not call me to reschedule. When I called to reschedule they said the earliest appointment was 4 months out from my original drs apointment meaning all of my prescription refills would be unfilled in the time between. The medical staff know this which means it was probably done maliciously.I asked someone not related to that specific drs staff for another appointment time and magicly an appointment date a month earlier became available.Very shady medical practices at this facility, it seems they will stop providing medical care as a punitive measure on their whim.

While they have the best intentions, the management is really not equipped to running the place. Ive had so many issues with staff and screwups that instead of just saying, sorry. They make every problem bigger by trying to cover their butt with bad lies. To be clear this is not an issue with any of the medical staff, while they can be a bit rushed its a good place for HIV care. The ones that really need to take some classes on how to talk to people and handle complaints are the people in management. Oh and that one asian lady in the pharmacy (gave me the wrong medication for a third time.... really?) The front line staff who takes calls and handles the front desk are also super nice (and they actually have the most to deal with). If you have decent insurance i would advise taking advantage of that, but if the only other option is AHF then i totally would go here. Maybe if they stopped making excuses for themselves and just treated their patients as people and not problems, they would improve themselves as workers and improve the quality of care. I do urge that instead of complaining to the desk staff that ANY issue that you have be submitted through the form they have at the front desk. Heres a tip: if there is more than one issue you may need to ask for another form.

When I order my medications over the phone its the same rude man always after waiting 9 min I hear him pick up... not even 2 seconds later I say hi and he already hung up, so I call again he picks up again tells me the system is down, name and date of birth I do that and he hangs up instantly. For people needing life saving drugs a little understanding and less rude behavior over the phone would be appreciated .I dont even know if Ill get my meds he gave no information and just hung up.. Feeling lost going to your center...many people have been moving to the thrive tribe over these issues... hope someone over there sees this or cares about your Phone guy hes the worst and its always the same guy but overall love the place to death

Waited 4 weeks for my appointment, filled out all paper work and was sent multiple conformation emails/texts for my appointment. 12 hours before my appointment they cancel and want me to wait another month for a new appointment. Terrible service and a lack of consideration for patients is what you’ll get from this place. Stay away!

There is so much I can say about how awesome this place is. Its a quick, efficient way to know what is going on as far as your personal sexual health, and I have a very personal story Id like to share about my experience there. First, let me explain the procedure to you. Many people I know are scared of getting checked for STIs and HIV. I was one of those people, but I am telling you, it is better to know than not know. I hadnt been blood tested for HIV or any other STIs since the middle of my druggie days in 2006. Back then, I engaged in many different kinds of risky behavior. So when I entered the office on Tuesday, I was scared. I came out HIV negative. The fear turned out to be completely ridiculous, and I could have put so many people at risk because of my negligence and dishonesty with myself. Heres the deal: You arent safe unless you know. And lying about it will just cause more problems for you. Theres my story. The scenario could have ended in many other ways, and having the strength to go ahead and face that demon is what ultimately saved me.Let me explain how it works. You go in, fill out paper work, talk to a counselor. Then if you are testing for all STIs (sexual transmitted infections) you will pee in a cup, swab your anus and your throat, and they do a blood draw. You have the HIV results in minutes (around 20) then you get the rest of the results in 5-7 days. They will also treat you for any infections they find related to STIs. This is all completely free. The Goodman Clinic is staffed by friendly professionals who really have a passion for what they are doing. They are great people. I felt so comfortable with all of them.If you are not sure about your status, dont be a dope like I was, go get it checked out. After I got tested, I told the same story about to my friends on social media sites. A couple different friends messaged and let me know that they got tested after reading my statuses about my long situation. Those two friends were in similar situations that I rectified yesterday. Both came out negative and thanked me for posting about it. If there is anything more gratifying than that, Im not sure Ill ever find it. Im happy that they got tested, and love them for knowing, not for being negative. Both ways are two sides of the same coin. The important thing is that we respect and love both sides the same.

This place is AWFUL. awful. there are so many reasons i dont even know where to start. Good lucky trying to get ahold of anyone at the pharmacy, good luck getting ahold of dr.maddie, good luck trying to get ahold of ANYONE AT ALL. and once you do? they dont call you back. ever. you have to keep calling them in order to get the status of your prescription, which annoys them and then they treat you rudely.they also fake yelp reviews and probably even google reviews. ive not met one person that finds this place to be a well run and safe establishment. you have to fight tooth and nail to get anything done, and they send you in circles for literal days.dont go here for any reason. anywhere is better than this place, no matter how glorious cheap LGBT healthcare seems.
