Total Mens Primary Care - McKinney North

Went in last wk for covid symptoms, sore throat, diarrhia, cough, etc. And the dr prescribes me Albuteral. Nothing for the sore throat which was the main reason i was in. And she tells me to take Pepto for the diarrhia. Thats not treating the symptom thats just masking it. And i still hav the problems. They tested me for the flu and strepthroat and i know i hav covid. Ive had long covid for over 6 months. I do hav a primary that i wasnt able to see so i thought this would be a good place to pop into. But for almost $200 bucks and not to get some meds was really a waste of money! I will not be going back.Also for a mens clinic it was an all female staff. They seem to focus on prostate and ED problems and not sure i would be comfortable seeing a woman if i did hav one of these problems.Now i hav to go see my Primary this wk. Will not be going back and would not reccomemend.

I went for an appointment. They offered no male doctors on staff. That seems a little suspect for a place thats named total mens primary care. They said I would have to go to another location to see a male doctor. I schedule and went to the other location off El Dorado. When I arrived I stayed at a rather location and told them what I needed. They said had that I would have to get a referral to do an online consultation. So I wasted about an hour and a 1/2 of my life driving between locations to find out I could have went online and never left the house. The woman behind the counter was less than sympathetic. I cannot recommend these people at all. I would have to say that youre just better off doing everything online nowadays.

I had to be away from home for two weeks and needed to be seen. I was able to set the appointment in Mckinney, Texas. They were very professional, and quick not taking away from my busy schedule. I was very satisfied with the service provided. I highly recommend!

From the moment I went in everyone was so nice to me and answered all the questions that I had. As far as the consult it was the best I had! She was very caring, she listened to me and she went over all my results and explained every single one of them. I felt very comfortable here!

A fast (but not rushed) experience. A very smooth process for mens annual checkups. They offer allergy check, t-therapy, etc. Everything for men. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Absolutely terrible. I made an appointment, drove almost 45 min to get there.. no doctor on staff, not able to do any labs or blood work and unable to verify my insurance. I had to fill out ALL of my patient info even though I had recently been. I drove 45 min to deal with TWO rude overweight receptionist and ONE nurse practitioner was the only medical person on staff. Then they tried to charge me $80 for a visit! They literally ONLY TOOK MY BLOOD PRESSURE AND WEIGHT! Then told me they couldnt do anything else and Id need to come back.ABSOLUTE SCAM.

I went in on May 14th for my yearly physical and ended up having to owe a couple hundred dollars from visits that were not covered under my insurance and I wasn’t notified about. I did some blood work for my yearly physical. Ever since then, I have been messaged about 3 times, saying that I owed $3 from my visit. What I never got was a call or a message about my lab results. I can see them myself but I can also see that the provider never saw them. It is July 4th and the provider never bothered to check the lab results from May 14th. Shows how little they care.They want to get you in to sell you on weight loss and testosterone programs. That’s their gig.

My appointment went really well. Everyone was very courteous and helpful. I felt comfortable there and confident in that they know what they are doing.Will be making future visits.

Took me in last minute due to another location not having a provider available and was still able to promptly see me and evaluate my illness, provider was very open and listened to the needs of me the patient. Overall satisfactory experience at this location.

I used this clinic for a few years and was impressed with their service for a while. After every visit I noticed the service to be less friendly , and less knowledgeable. When I had my last physical there, they recommended TRT and said that it was $199 including the medicine and consultation. After a few months I decided to start and made an appointment, upon arrival they tell me that I have to pay $50 dollars for a lab ( which I understand) and $199 for consultation plus another $199 for the medicine. When I called customer service, they didn’t know either and said that they will call me back. It’s been 4 days and still waiting. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE.

I was here for my annual physical. The staff was friendly and helpful, the facilities were clean and modern, the nurse practitioner was knowledgeable and thorough, and the efficiency was remarkable. I didnt have to wait long to be seen, and the whole process was smooth and fast. I highly recommend Total Mens Primary Care to anyone looking for a reliable and professional health care provider.

Came here from the Richardson location because the Richardson location refused to honor my 1240p appointment. They take lunch at 1p.I scheduled a 2p at McKinney and the receptionist is a few minutes late unlocking the door. No big deal.I go to check in and the receptionist informs me they don’t have a doctor. Mind blown.He only option was to let me see a telehealth provider. I could have done that from home and saved myself 30 minutes driving to Richardson and another 30 minutes driving to McKinney and 30 minutes of waiting.What kind of office schedules appointments with no doctor on site? Their website says they pride themselves on making it easy to see a doctor. That’s laughable. Run from this place. It’s terrible.

Scheduled a new patient appointment for my husband at 4pm because of work. He gets there and they tell him that they can’t do any blood work because they don’t draw after 10 am. Girl in the office just says “oh I should have called you” ya think?!She said he could still be seen and charged, and then schedule another appointment to have blood drawn and be charged AGAIN?!?! No thank you.This information should be on the website when making appointments and the staff needs to do a better job communicating to the patients.Total waste of time, will not be back and do not recommend.

The two girls that work here are super helpful and informative. If I decide to continue my TRT I will probably change from prosper location to this location. So far this clinic seems to be consistent with times.

Ive been going to Total Mens since 2020. My work has me travel frequently and its seems like anywhere I go within Texas, there is always a clinic within 20 to 30 minutes from where I stay. The staff is friendly and the physicians are very transparent. Lab results usually get posted on the client page, which saves me a trip.

I was coming back to update & increase my previous star ratings but my first one was gone. I always had the best experience with TMPC, but my last 2 visit weren’t like previous. There was a staff change spring/summer. In short, I came in for the rapid test on a Friday per my company’s policy but didn’t receive my results for several days because they forgot to load them, so I was very disappointed. However, I met with a member of the management team by happenstance the following visit when I came in to get my receipts correct, and they were very apologetic & helpful. So much so, that to my surprise, when I went to file the expense on my company’s card, the charge was completely removed!!!! This is the stellar team that I grew to appreciate over the previous last year, which is why I was a return customer. Thank you all so much for providing the best customer support and truly taking care of your patients. I know everything isn’t always perfect but you certainly worked hard to make things better, and you did. ☺️🤩⭐️⭐️⭐️

An elderly lady fell in front of this establishment and the whole entire staff ran outside to help her. They brought her inside and checked her blood pressure, asked about her condition and basically did an assessment. She was very lightheaded, (stage 4 cancer), and they allowed her to come in and eat and relax until she regained some strength. I was overwhelmed with the love and support that they gave this lady who was NOT a patient. My takeaway is that if they rendered this kind of care to her, imagine how well you would be treated as a patient here. KUDOS to this establishment!!!! HEROES don’t always wear capes, they wear scrubs too!!

They were ready for me before my appointment time which is unfortunately rare when visiting a physicians office.The waiting room was posh and stocked with drinks and snacks.Every staff member that I encountered today was incredibly friendly and completely engaged in ensuring that I was comfortable and satisfied with my visit. I have covid and also needed refills. Even though I was a new patient they were able to do a tele-visit the same day. Scheduled it online, entered my insurance info and everything in about ten minutes. The doc was great. Definitely going to stick with them as my primary care provider.

The staff was excellent. From the moment you walk in, you don’t feel as though you’re in the classic “white coat” experience. Upon checking in, you’re seated in a comfortable area with drinks and snacks available (if you’re not fasting).The provider experience was top-notch. Doc was incredible in making conversation, answering questions, and generally providing an experience above and beyond what you would expect.I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an easy not-intimidating visit.

The front desk staff was courteous and prepared, and very friendly. I had a good experience with the physician I saw, who seemed like a very down to earth doctor that really cared primarily about their patients wellbeing, which is much more than I can say for my last primary care physician. I would definitely recommend this clinic.

I haven’t had an annual check up done in years prior to my visit. Let me say, this is a different doctors office. Accessible location, minimal wait time and friendly people. I felt comfortable speaking candidly with the attending physician and didn’t feel judged for any of my responses/questions. Thank you.

This place used to be amazing when Dr Akins was there and has gone downhill in many ways since she left. Most recent experience for me, is walking in at 4:55 and being turned away because “we are about to close”. I walked in apologizing for coming late, but was refused to be helped. Guess I can go back to my old place and just deal with a further drive.

Quick responding staff works to get patient in where possible. Doctor spends time with patient to discuss what is going on and listens instead of herding people through as quickly as possible. Feels like they care about the patient. Excellent waiting area and they have been quick to get me in when I am waiting BEFORE my scheduled time! Amazing! Glad I made a switch to this clinic!

Amazing people. Very friendly staff. Come here several times a week - they’ve helped me with every thing I could possibly imagine to make sure I’m healthy and in good shape. If it’s not something they handle in house they will refer you to someone trusted. They truly listen to what you’re saying and are always open to make sure everything you may be concerned about is fully addressed. Best primary care clinic I’ve ever been to.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, and I really related to my provider. They were able to take care of most of my needs in-office, and had solid referrals for anything they could not. All and all a great experience.

We were able to schedule COVID testing only a few days out when everyone else was booked for a week. When we showed up for our appointments, we were tested and out the door within five minutes of arriving--before our appointment time was even scheduled! The staff were friendly and efficient. Same day appt which is unheard of these days. Staff was super friendly and warned us they were running late which really didn’t happen. Asked all the right questions. Doc was concerned and knew and understood exactly what my issues were. As Arnold said “ I’ll be back”.

UPDATING 😮‍💨 Theres been a change in personnel and although the previous team was 5-stars, this new team is definitely not.They dont handle disagreement well. Although my medical professional required a particular test, the nurse practitioner refused to do it because of her preconceived opinion, without looking at my records. Then dismissed me without reviewing my records. Unprofessional is an apt description.

First time visit. Was a little skeptical of the name, but the service was dope: super helpful at front desk, clean office space, nice waiting area with comfy seating and 2 TVs with snacks and coffee, quick response to getting in a room, and doctor was really helpful and considerate to needs and advice. Went for an annual check up, which has been a bit longer due to pandemic, but also for a weird rash on my leg. Doc was thorough and made sure to answer questions and offered advice, a rare occasion of past visits to other places where I felt like a number and my visit was on borrowed time.

I don’t normally like going to a doctor’s office and tend to avoid it as much as I can. This is the first positive experience I remember having in a health care facility; they’re not generally enjoyable to me. Kudos to the staff here, as they were all pleasant and the process was very client friendly. Highly recommended for north Texas men who need a primary care home.

My husband and I needed a place to go get a rapid Covid test today. Even though my husband mistakenly put in the wrong date online when making the appointment, when we walked in, they were able to get us in. There were no outdated paper forms to fill out, but an online form I could do on my phone.There was no wait. The staff was phenomenal. I would recommend them to anyone needing any service, as the staff was awesome.

I went to see Dr cannnaday (sorry if spelt wrong), and it was amazing! I have seen her before. She sits down with you breaks down each symptom one on one for you, makes sure you understand the treatment, and makes sure you are happy when you leave! Office staff is amazing!

This was my first visit, but I plan on returning for any future primary care needs. The receptionist, Donna, the nurse, Bridgette, and doctor, Michael were all very professional and made me feel comfortable and well cared for. I arrived on time and had to fill out minimal paperwork despite this being my first time. There was a comfortable waiting room with complimentary snacks and beverages as well as a television, however I didnt have to wait long before I was brought into the examination room. Appointment set up was very easy. Overall Id recommend this office to anyone looking for a primary care provider.

Wow, talk about a well run operation. Went in to get a rapid Covid test. They had plenty of appointments. Reserved the next appointment from my phone. Filled out everything on my phone for registration and paperwork, even took a picture of my drivers license and insurance card from my phone for the registration. I was in and out in minutes. And, free snacks. They text me under an hour later with a link to view the results. Very, very impressed.

I hadnt been to the doctor in over a 3 years. The staff at this place was super understanding and truly cares for my health needs. Highly recommend

Today was my first day at total mens health. Ir was stress free and fast. The doctor explained everything clear and gave me more knowledge about mens care. The ladys in the office were really nice and helpful. I definitely would recommend this place to men.Its actually nice knowing there is a clinic just for men and focus only on men

Went to the downtown Austin office for a COVID test after finding out I had been potentially exposed by a co-worker. I had a very pleasant experience and highly recommend Total Men’s! The staff was courteous, the office was clean, and the process was efficient. I was in and out as a walk-in patient in less than 20 minutes, and I had my results back via text about 30 minutes later.

Great first time experience. Everyone was professional and friendly, especially with my questions and concerns. Whole visit went quickly but not rushed, check in/out was a breeze ( I was able to register online so no paperwork at arrival great online option) and the little waiting I did was comfortable didn’t feeling like other doctors offices. Needed a COVID test before traveling. Booked in 2 hours prior. Quick and easy registration as well as being seen. The place was VERY clean and professional. They even have complimentary refreshments, and good ones too. Texted results in under 2 hours. They even accommodated a scheduling error on our part. All around great place.

So I am 24 year old male, I’ve gone to other clinics and it always felt like they wanted you out the door. Well when I came here I felt welcomed and felt comfortable here. If you’re a man, has questions about your health, then this is the place to go to. Friendly staff and the doctor was answering all my questions with feedback and even wants to follow up with me for future appointments rather than just saying “have a good day!” I recommend this place for their professionalism and how they genuinely want to help you. I know I’ll be coming here for any of my own health problems!

I started using total mens health group at the beginning of 2023 so far it has a been waste of good money spent to a fraudulent business, doctors are never there, literally dont show up to work, and the ones that show up arent really doctors, they have some Dr Brittany Delaney whos never ever there. Dont go to Total mens McKinney its a fraud, they literally played with my health for almost a year now.

The staff is nice and considerate. The building looks cool and modern. It doesnt feel old or run down. Its pretty cool overall.

I did not wait long to be seen at all! At my previous doctor, I would usually wait 30 minutes to an hour to be seen WITH an appointment. At Total Men’s, I literally sat down for about 5 minutes and was called back! I was so shocked at how quick and smooth everything went.In addition to that, NP Cannaday was amazing! All of the nurses were awesome as well, they got my vein for the blood draw on the first try which never happens for me. NP Cannaday addressed all of my concerns and then some. I will definitely be coming back

1st visit and wont be my last. Very easy going, and polite staff. For me it was a bit different. Ive never been in a medical building to see a doctor for a physical and leave calling the doctor by his 1st name. This was their preference. We are casual here is what I was told. Very comfortable with doctor Robert Stokes. Took his time with me and evaluated me thoroughly while being very explanatory in what he was doing. Blood work was completed painlessly and quickly. I never felt rushed, and I had a lot of history on myself to go over. Didnt just hear me talking, butintently listened to what I was saying. The full experience was great. Easy scheduling, check-in, and appointment went well. All of my concerns felt like they were addressed completely and thoroughly without making me feel rushed or pushed into anything.

I needed to get in ASAP for a COVID test and they had appointments available all day. The only place available within 40 miles. I got there early and they got me in and out quickly. The staff were very friendly and professional and the office and exam rooms were neat and clean.

As you understand from your perception and that being merely opinion I am wondering if an all female staff will be able to correctly advise men and diagnose our ailments and physiological symptoms.They wont know how to interpret mens behavior to properly diagnose would be my only concern. But they listened and didnt say anything right away and responded with pertinent information. So far so good.The snack bar and hospitality may trick you if youre fasting though. Theyll watch you get a snack and then remind you!! LolPleasant visit.

Finding good primary care for even general problems is hard enough, Im glad I found this place. Carly, Christian, and Brittany are all great people and you can tell they genuinely care. Its obvious they dont see you as money, they actually care about your well being and will do their best to make sure you are taken care of. Will definitely recommend them to others.

I absolutely love the quality of life attitude they have there. Never once pushed surgical procedures (which I thought I might have needed) and had a very welcoming staff. They want to educate you on your health, and I would recommend this to any man 25 years of age and older!!!

The few time that I’ve come to this Total Men’s location they’ve had a quick turnaround on getting me and my son in and out quickly when we got COVID tests. In my last visit, I was in and out in less than 10 min. I highly recommend them.

I visited TMPC for my annual physical. The wait was short and there was a comfortable area to sit in. They had an open fridge with different beverages like juices/sugar free Red Bulls etc...The staff was very attentive while I waited which wasnt very long at all.After researching about 5 different places near Melissa/McKinney Im confident I choose the right place for me!

I love the Total Mens system! Scheduling an appointment is incredibly easy and transparent. Ive had to cancel last minute twice, thinking that Id have to wait until their hours are open to call, but a simple reply to their appointment confirmation via text did the trick! I am in and out in a matter of minutes, and they text you the results within a couple hours of your appointment.

I enjoyed my visit - didn’t wait long after arrival.The consultation was thorough, but still quick. The staff is very knowledgeable and cares about what they do. The examination is comprehensive so I feel good about the results.

My dads PCP closed without notice, with him being on Medicare it can be difficult finding a Dr on short notice. Not only did they get my father scheduled as a new patient appointment, but the online registration was so super easy and didnt have to do a thing when we got there. The Dr Chrissy was amazing, my dad confident in the care provided to him as am I. Thank you Dr Chrissy and staff.

The staff in the office are awesome. Now if you need anything like a simple prescription called in by the Dr. or Provider they say, its a complete cluster you really need to give at least a week cushion if you really need it refilled. Ive stuck around only because the people that are there in the office are very nice and understanding and I know they were switching systems or whatever, but apparently the new system is just as bad as the old if you have the same TERRIBLE PROVIDERS!!!

While the check-in time was a little on the slow side, I only had to wait about 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. Additionally the medical professionals were top notch and super caring and concerned about my health care needs.

I was going to Care Now but couldn’t get in so I gave Total Mens a try and man am I glad I did. I got a same day appointment, the check in paperwork was all done via my phone and the staff was great. I was on and out in 30 mins. I will definitely be back and would recommend them to anyone.

Wanted a primary care physician to do my yearly checkup. Found this place. They sent me a 80$’s bill just to set up my account. This when I filled up all the details online. I should bill them back.Had I known I would be charged $’s to set up an account I would never have gone here. This is in addition to the $’s I was asked to pay for the services.Also, THERE ARE NO MD’ s or DOCTORS here but a certified nurse practitioner who is the provider which was not evident upfront. They only did the blood work, was referred elsewhere for my other issues. No Prostrate exam which no one enjoys but is a necessary check.

Found this gem from a comment section in a Facebook group out of all places when looking at a post about covid testing locations. I was hesitant but ultimately decided to go get the Covid peace of mind and get tested now that school is back in session and also in preparation for traveling soon. This visit obviously was nerve racking already for me. We got there a super early and checked in with my spouse. Miss Carly Cannaday was at the front desk and immediately her vibe lowered my anxiety from the appointment by her welcoming demeanor. As we waited for 3 min max I got the chance to overhear one of the doctors walking a patient out and you can just hear the passion for their jobs in their voice. Miss Mandy Signer called my husband and me back to the room, probably obvious at my need for a “crutch” at the appt from my nerves. I’m a total chicken and yesterday my anxiety got the best of me as i walked in to two different places for a test and chickened out after walking in to the location and left as I waited in line to check in. Miss Mandy explained everything thoroughly and answered all of our million questions. She performed the test on both of us and walked us out as we made small talk. Total time spent in the clinic was maybe 20 min tops from start to finish. This clinic is by far one of the best clinics we’ve ever gone to and my husband is even switching his pcp after today’s visit to this one. The rapport was absolutely amazing and everyone there is extremely welcoming and knowledgeable about not only current covid issues but patients health in general. I’d highly recommend Dr. Akins or Dr. Fowler to anyone needing any of your medical needs, the staff here will run circles around any clinic in the area…I promise you won’t regret it when you go there.

First time visiting this location instead of the South McKinney office. The staff was all great and I didn’t have to wait long. The doctor was very knowledgeable and helpful. This location is closer so I will definitely be coming back for future appointments when needed.

Consultation out of the way. It was very professional, thorough and I did not feel hurried in any way. The doctor and nurses were all quite informative. Im looking forward to starting HRT and receiving all of my total health care here.

I needed to get a Covid test and they came up in my search as a place near me. I had no trouble booking an appointment online. In person, they were very professional & friendly. The visit was quick and easy.

The building was clean, check in was quick, waited a couple minutes and they did a rapid Covid test in a couple seconds. By the time I made it home I had the results texted to me. Would recommend!

Updated 4 months later. Just say NO. After I gave them a glowing 4 stars for my first visit to the McKinney facility I now have been soured on TMPC. The staff of the location was great. I went in for an annual physical which is supposed to be totally paid for by my insurance. Came back in for the results a week later and started to walk out. They called me back and said that I had a charge to take care of. Apparently, to them, my results visit is not covered under my physical visit. I voiced my displeasure but instead of arguing with them I paid $75 and walked out a bit miffed.A few weeks later I began getting text messages with a link supposedly from TPMC. But the link had a .co URL. So I called the office and could not get any help as apparently the offices can only see the charge, but now the details of the charge. So instead of offering to find out what it is, she offered me the phone number for the billing dept. Again, a bit miffed I took it and called. I called twice leaving a VM over two days. A few days later I get another email (I also replied to 4 emails previous to this) of which I replied yet again that I am not clicking on a link that has nothing to with the domain it should be coming from. In other words, the link is from a 3rd party payment system (assuming) that is not embedded in a subdomain of TMPCs website. So they keep saying that I owe them yet another $30 for something. And then they had the gall to threaten me with collections if I dont pay them. So after 5+ email replies, 3 voicemails, and multiple calls to the McKinney office, I still have no resolution to this. And someone is just not smart enough to send me a paper bill.So outside of the local office, the corporate part of TMPC SUX. They have no concept of customer service. So I guess Ill just go back to the hospitals like the old days. Even though I occasionally had the unexplained charges, I never had this much trouble trying to resolve it.

My appointment with Mens health in Mckinney went very smoothly. I was in and out in less than 3 min. I got my test results in less than 30 min. I would highly recommend Mens Primary Care to anyone.

This doctor is the real deal! If your a diabetic and all your current doctor is doing is prescribing more medicine. You need to call TM Primary Care. I have never had a doctor tell me diabetes type 2 is a cure-able disease. His mentality is to get you off the medication…WOW! What a concept. I am all in with Primary Care!
