Honestly, I don’t know why you would go anywhere else if you need any reproductive health resources. All the workers were absolutely lovely and made me feel so at ease in this stressful process. 10/10 WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!!

Very gracious and respectful when giving care. I never felt uncomfortable during my appointment. Will definitely be going back when needed. They offer a lot of free services that aren’t covered under my insurance like ultrasound.

I was really nervous about my appointment but the staff here made me feel safe and equipped me with resources and confidence about my next steps. I’ve heard some things about pregnancy centers like this but my experience was great and the staff were really understanding. I didn’t feel judged at all. I’d recommend this place to my friends.

First Care is a very welcoming, non-judgemental center. You will feel that the staff really care about you, and want to get to know you and your situation. I came here as a student and I think it is a great center for students to go to get free services. I would recommend First Care to anyone who is looking for quality, free services with staff that really care about you.

I set up ultra sound appointment here week prior, arrived ON TIME!!!! I’m waiting as they finish with another patient, I finally go in the back to speak with nurse about health history etc....... I bring in documentation to prove my pregnancy which isn’t enough for her I’m asked to do a urine to confirm pregnancy I’m clearly showing but whatever take urine came back to room and wait to be called for ultra sound.... 5 minutes later they come in and tell me they won’t do ultra sound because I’ve had an appointment with a OB already I’ve been here a hour now and you knew this and also knew how far along I was before my appointment!!!! Why does that matter when I scheduled for ultra sound ONLY! Also dragged my boyfriend out of bed thinking we would see our baby and these people completely wasted my time and gave a sorry apology! Then the social worker wants to talk at this point I’m ready to leave, also won’t be coming to the appointment she set. Never will waste my time here again!

I went to First Care Pregnancy Center to get tested for STIs/STDs. I had never done so before, so this was all new to me. I thought I was going to have a great, comfortable experience with it, but I would say it was just okay. The staff were friendly and the facilities were very clean which is good. Before any testing, however, I met with one of the social workers that worked there. It was her job to get to know me a bit and ask a few questions. We skimmed over my sexual history, which I have no qualms with. She asked if I had ever considered abstinence as a part of my relationship. I replied no, and she said that she only brought it up because some dont realize thats an option. After that, the nurse came in to talk to me more in depth about my history (number of partners, types of intercourse participated in, etc.). When I disclosed how many partners Ive had, she handed me a pamphlet on abstinence which focused heavily on if youve had sex with X amount of people, youve had sex with everyone theyve had sex with and so on and so forth. She left me to look at a powerpoint about STIs/STDs and how they affect the body, how theyre transmitted, etc. and pushed the pamphlet back towards me telling me I could keep it after I had placed it back on the table. After all the samples were taken, I was given a folder with printouts from the CDC about various diseases. It also included a letter from the center stating that I had received services there. In the final paragraph, they state we encourage an abstinence-until-marriage approach and mutual faithfulness within marriage as the only true and reliable safe-sex option. This is where I disagree - many are no longer waiting until marriage to have sexual intercourse. You see young girls on shows like 16 & Pregnant who go through abstinence only (until marriage) education and fall pregnant because they do not know how to protect themselves. The best way to pursue safe sex, in my opinion, is to know how to protect yourself and only engage with those who are willing to also protect themselves as well as get tested to confirm lack of diseases. Im certain that the pregnancy center has resources about birth control, but I feel that during my appointment, abstinence was brought up more than birth control and barrier methods of contraception to help prevent against diseases. I have another appointment next week to go over the results. Next time I get tested, however, I dont think I will be coming here. I feel like if youve had a lot of partners (the nurse said that anyone having more than 2 partners is considered a high risk partner), this is not the place to go. I think next time, I will be going to Planned Parenthood where I hope they will be less judgmental and put more emphasis on keeping one safe rather than abstinent.

They come up as both womens health care and adoption, different names with the same address. Combined with being located near campus, thats a pretty big red flag that its actually a trap designed to lure students who are sexually active and possibly facing an unplanned pregnancy in hopes of coercing them into carrying to term and then giving the baby up for adoption. Thats evil.

This place does not provide abortions. This place does not provide any medical care only “ parenting advice” and faith based scare tactics. If you are in need of an abortion I recommend Planned Parenthood.
