Access Esperanza Clinics

The clinic provides satisfactory service, but the excessive wait time, over three hours despite having an appointment, is unacceptable. Such disregard for punctuality is unprofessional and disrespectful to patients. Improvements are urgently needed in their appointment management to ensure a more efficient and respectful experience for all patients.

The wait time is ridiculous, I wait an hour or 2 and my appointment usually takes just 5 minutes. Whoever books these appointments needs to stop overbooking people at the same time.

My husband called to check his test results. The receptionist, Tania, mentioned that “if they didn’t call him, then it was negative”. He asked for further confirmation from his lab results in which she proceeded to place him in a 2 hour hold to tell him that they hadn’t properly tested him and that he had to return to do the test once again. Throughout the conversation, she was rude, condescending, and disrespectful. Now, he will need to go to another clinic to ensure that his test results are accurate. These clinics are meant to give proper and accurate information, yet it appears they can’t even do that correctly. SMH.

Had a good experience at this place despite the negative reviews. The staff was nice and friendly, they inform you about questions you might have and are very helpful. And the way results go is that they will call you anywhere between 3 to 7 days if anything is abnormal. But just like any doctors office you will wait, and I knew that would happen. I went in at 1:30 and didn’t come out until almost 4.

Its too good to be true. Called in the morning to ask the times walk-ins are accepted. They said 8 a.m - 6 p.m. I luckily got permission to ask to leave early at work in order to make it. As Im desperately in need of help. When I got there in time, the receptionist told me they werent accepting any more walkins even though I saw no one inside or outside. I broke down crying because I believed in their lie and lost hours of work. Moral of the story: make an appointment and only go to the McAllen clinic. Dont ever walk in the last two hours.

Very friendly, professional doctor/nurse practitioner who was the one that removed my IUD. She was so kind, very knowledgeable and I trusted her to remove the IUD safely and she did. I highly recommend going to this place and making a donation because they do help people! I will mention that it took me about 2 hrs of waiting to see her and that should be expected so don’t go there expecting to get out in 30 minutes because I don’t think that is a realistic expectation.The staff was also nice and they treated me with respect.

Horrible horrible. Left in tears. I have always trusted this place for everything.I will no longer recommend to friends and family. I went in wanting my Copper IUD. (Has no hormones) I am tired of dealing with birth control side affects, the weight gain the emotional wreck it made me the break outs. As a women I felt that this place would understand that. Since it’s so pro choice. Apparently not. Because I had some issues with my period being irregular, non stop for about 2 months I had gone to my reg gyno who said the only way to stop would be to use any form of birth control he offered the IUD, the pills, the ring anything I gave one last try to the pill he prescribed it made me so sick! My period went away and I had just been spotting a little bit. decided to come to the Esperanza clinic for my copper IUD since it’s hard to get an appt fast with my gyno and this made me very nervous for I already have 2 babies, and suffered postpartum depression my first and something much more serious postpartum psychosis on my second. Was told by doctor it made my chances of having it happen with another pregnancy much worse. I don’t want that. I don’t want more kids any time soon. at the Esperanza clinic the doctor was clearly non sympathetic. She said she didn’t want to give me the Copper IUD because it can make me bleed a lot and I had already been going through that for 2 months. I let her know that my iron levels were okay and so was my thyroid since my Gyno had already tested me for all of this in October. She still refused and said all she could give me was anything with hormones I explained to her why in literal tears why I don’t want hormones. She had my iron levels tested and I AM FINE And she did not care.!! I waited 3 hours! for them to turn me down and give me pills I will not take. I will go somewhere else for my copper IUD as it is my body my choice. However this honestly made me feel so awful like I just had no choice at all about what happens with my body. Once again! As if Texas already doesn’t beat us enough.

Extremely slow. I got here at 12pm with an appointment. And I am currently still sitting here waiting. I have been waiting for a pap for about 40 mins. Horrible time management here. A few nice employees too. I love coming here because it affordable, but 4 hours is absurd. Only reason why I havent left infuriated is because I need this DONE today. Please work on your time management. Get another employee or something cause it was like this last year too!!

I typed in clinics that treat depression, and this clinic came up. I called in and the lady who answered said in a rather sarcastic manner, this is a family clinic. I apologized and explained this is what popped up. Im just glad my friend didnt called in, Im sure the manner in which the person on the phone responded, it would have sent her over the edge. I recommend the people in this clinic take a class on compassion. I have no idea how to block this clinic from appearing on any search having to do with depression. If any one knows how to do that it be greatly appreciated.

We just left. They were really slow. Told them why we were there in the first place and they had no idea why we were there. They said they hadnt do me anything and didnt understand what we wanted. We were there for three hours and they still hadnt done anything to verify the insurance over the phone. Asked if we could get the results over the phone and they said results for what. Are you kidding!!!!! Never again will we go there again.

The wait is ridiculous. They’re friendly but my appointment was at 8:15 and I’m still here and it’s 10

Accompanied my fiancée to an appointment she had at 4 pm, its currently 7:23 and were still here, the whole reason for an appointment is to save time

Medical staff was nice but clinician wasnt sympathetic and took 5 hours to attend just to state she couldnt help ughh so unprofessional.

Every staff has a damm attitude, only the doctors are okay. No matter what the question is its always i dont know

No stars isnt available. I called this morning i needed some exams done, i go in 10 minutes later and I get told the exams couldnt be done because there is no nurse. Customer service is horrible.

Slow service. Waited hours for service when I had an appointment. woman who had an appointment after me went in way before me. Just frustrating.

I love this clinic. Its private. Its clean They are very straight foward and care about your reproductive health

Literally been here 2 hours with an appointment! The walk ins went in and out. I dont know what is going on but something needs to be done. Never again.

The few times I have gone to mission location, I get the worst receptionist or nurses. So rude and not helpful at all. Never again
