I went to Sasha for 7 mos for treatment focused on fertility. I started a few months before starting IVF, and had a successful retrieval and transfer on first attempt. Continued treatment through first 10 wks of pregnancy. The treatments were like a long meditation, and I believe it was very beneficial both physically and mentally. Definitely helped keep me focused on the current moment and to quiet anxiety throughout the IVF process. Highly recommend!

Dr Mihajlvic proves the point that not all healthcare interventions need to be pills and injections. The positive results speak for themselves. And her staff are friendly, welcoming and attentive.

In love with doctor Sasha. I’m a chicken and I HATE needles, always had a fear for acupuncture for that reason. Now days I try to avoid taking pills for pain unless is natural but I did a jerk movement with my neck and could not move an inch so I had to man up and get acupuncture done. Best decision ever, Sasha just makes you feel comfortable, calm, guides you every step of the way, very patient too. She said my pain would take 2-3 sessions but in fact cured me in one go. 10/10 recommend and next time I have a muscle, joint or nerve problem you best believe I’m getting acupuncture done again!

I started seeing Sasha this year. I love how flexible and available Sasha is with scheduling and payments. Due to my very busy schedule, I cancelled my appointment many times within 24h, and she was always accommodating and understanding. I love that she was willing to work with my insurance and was very flexible with payment schedule. Not to mention how much better I feel. She is really one of the most knowledgeable acupuncturists I know. It really helps that she also has a degree in Chinese medicine too and is able to take more holistic approach to health ailments.

Im a believer! In Sasha Acupuncture, that is. I had begun feeling some numbness in my toes, and was prescribed medication. It made me dizzy, and I just dont want to add any more medication than I absolutely have to. So I decided to try acupuncture, and its miraculous. Sasha has been able to relieve my pain and numbness, and she has improved my health and general well being. I wouldnt have believed it, but its true. Ive learned so much from her, and will always be grateful.

My husband had 12 sessions for pain from PHN. Everyone in the office was very helpful and welcoming, and the doctor was knowledgeable and attentive. Highly reccommend.

Ive been going to Sasha Acupuncture for a couple of years now. When I started there I had a great many recurring problems. The worst of which was sciatica. I went three times a week and after a few weeks my sciatica pain was gone. I continued to go for treatment of my lower back (which had bothered me for years/ I wore a back brace everyday). Again slowly the pain subsided. As I was going for treatment of my back, I started to notice that other problems that I ha d always had were clearing up as well. For instance, I always had problems with my feet and legs. All of that is gone now too. I had a shingles outbreak on my back (usually it three weeks to a month to clear up) after one treatment it was gone. I have the gout and that too subsides when Aleksandra treats it. I was taking pills for pain daily at one point and now I dont take anything. I am 73 years old and was almost crippled and now Im not. I go in once a month now for a tune up and have no problems anymore. Aleksandra is truly amazing ! I have recommended friends and never heard anything but praise about the treatments.It is my great pleasure to highly recommend Sasha Acupuncture to you as well...

Sasha Acupuncture has been an absolute blessing. Im an avid golfer and started going about two months back for lower back pain. Not only has Aleksandra relieved my back issues, but the whole process has also been stress relieving. Aleksandra and her staff are very professional, fun and really shape treatments around your needs. I would highly recommend seeing Aleksandra with any challenges you may be facing.

When I booked I asked what the cost is per session and was told to just come in for a $50 consultation. After spending my time with Sasha discussing symptoms she left to come up with a price and came back with a $4,500 bill. I asked if I can pay per session and she said no. This is outrageous and I’ve never heard of such a pricing plan from acupuncturists I’m the area. No I’m out $50 and no treatment. This is the office at 119 grove street in Montclair. Maybe she’s fine but try to understand what you’re getting into upfront so you’re not wasting your time with her.

Sasha is by far the best practitioner I’ve ever visited, of any kind. The combination of her knowledge, technical expertise and skills with her compassion, caring and soothing nature makes the entire experience so rewarding both mentally and physically. She has helped me remove stress from my life, sleep better and heal aches and pains. I would highly recommend her to anyone who has ever wondered if acupuncture could help them. And for those who have not, please do and go see Sasha. You’ll wish you’d done it sooner.

Can not recommend Alexandra more highly!! I started working with her to help my husband and I conceive - within 3 months I was pregnant!! I continued to see her through my pregnancy and she helped me feel fantastic the whole time - treating pain anywhere in body while also giving me attention for the pregnancy.It turned out my son was breech and I did not want a c section, which is inevitable if he was still breech by 36 weeks. For a week before, Alexandra administered many techniques to encourage him to flip. I was happy to try anything she suggested in and out of her office because I trust her so much. I even went to the town pool and did flips to teach him the motion he needed to do on her recommendation. Well, the night before my 36 week ultrasound…he flipped! I give 100% credit for the flip to Alexandra for helping him and encouraging him through acupuncture. I do not believe he would have flipped without her help.I was induced and was able to see Alexandra the morning before I went into the hospital. She performed techniques to get him ready for labor that evening. After I was induced, he got to work and made my job so much easier. When it came time to push he had gotten himself so well in position, it took two pushes. Literally two minutes..my first son, who I did not get acupuncture for, was almost two hours of pushing.Alexandra was a great partner to me during my pregnancy journey. And also helped ease my chronic back pain as an added bonus! After trying a few other acupuncturists, I can confidently say that Alexandra is the best in the Montclair area, hands down!!

If you are looking for herbal treatment, don’t come here. The doctor is pretty rude and mainly pushes the acupuncture, if that is not what you are looking for you will waste your $49 consultation fee. The doc will act like she has to check on a patient and leave you in the room to probably do nothing, but come back with a 2,600 fee for herbs. She said she had to check on a patient and came right back with a fee but no information or details on the herbs at all. My issue is that they should be more upfront on the fact that you basically have to do acupuncture here.

I was recommended by a friend after I mentioned it would be fun to try acupuncture. My experience with Sasha has me coming back week after week. First off, the office has the same complete energy as a Zen garden, you can feel it when you walk in. Sasha greets you kindly and is the reason why the atmosphere is so warming.For treatment itself, she is precise and actually explains things as she goes along if you ask. For instance, each session begins with a full body assessment and indulges your curiosity if you ask about what certain things mean. She is gentle with the use of needles, and she is consistently on top of her game.What separates her from the rest is her over-developed sensitivity to the human body not just on a physical or emotional level, but the spiritual level. And when I had a question outside of a session, rather late in the evening as well (she is a mother of two) she was quick to answer and knew exactly what to do.I cant highly recommend her enough!

Since September of 2018 I have been successfully dealing with advanced lung cancer via a targeted therapy that has rendered my cancer undetectable from below my chin to just above my knee, however in July of 2022 it was discovered that a had a few tiny lesions in my brain that proved to be metastatic lung cancer tumors. This led to sessions of full brain radiation (very effective in eliminating the tumors) that ended last June 3. I was advised that these treatmentsI would produce temporary hair loss, post-radiation fatigue and digestive issues which I have been dealing with since mid-June. Among other things I was suffering a dropped right foot that made normal walking very difficult. My daughter read an article about the effectiveness of accupuncture and associated therapies with Sasha Acupuncture in Montcair. I began one-hour treatments there on September 7th, on average 3 times a week, and within a few weeks the results have been remarkable. My right foot and leg are back to functioning normally and I have made steady progress with the fatigue and digestive issues. I highly endorse Sasha Acupuncture!!! Eric Perlmutter

The facility is very clean and efficient. The staff are friendly, very helpful and accommodating. Sasha helped me overcome an issue that numerous prescription drugs didn’t help. The doctors prescribed years of meds and Sasha looks for alternative solutions. I was skeptical at first but am a huge fan. I strongly recommend the team!!!

Awful experience. I scheduled an appointment to help with insomnia because this place had great reviews. I arrived, filled out paperwork, and then the acupuncturist sat down with me for a couple of minutes to talk about my ailments, just like any other acupuncturist. Thats where the similarities end.She then she said shed recommend 3x sessions a week for a few weeks to get me on track and that would be $2600 and that that way the per-session rate would be less than if I did it individually. I said Id need to think about whether or not Id want to do a whole package, at which point she said she needed to check on another patient and left. Two minutes go by and she comes back in to ask if Id like to move forward. I clarified, Id need to discuss with my wife if Id invest $2600, at which point she said I should let her know when weve discussed, and then she held the door open for me to leave and told me that the 5 min consultation we just had would be $40.Ive been getting acupuncture from incredible practitioners for over 20 years and never have I been told Id need to buy a package or get no service at all--especially not without advising that it would be the only option before I wasted my time.

I have been seeing Sasha for over a year. I find her to be a great human being, conscientious practitioner and to have a well rounded approach to healing in general. My phobia of needles was such that I never thought acupuncture would be possible for me. I have also taken my children to see her for herbs and even acupuncture for acute conditions such as a flu or respiratory ailment. Highly recommend.

Great experience, and helpful for my back pain as well! Sasha used both acupuncture and other methods (heat, massage) to help with both my specific issue - back pain - and with overall stiffness and energy flow. She gave other advice based on Chinese medicine, which I found really interesting. Appointment was convenient.
