Dr. Tu is incredible! My wife had to get surgery and he made us feel comfortable throughout the entire process. Very personable and you can tell he genuinely cared. Surgery was successful and he even took the extra time to pull me aside to make a video for my wife post surgery to explain what we saw in the pictures. Wish he was an IVF Dr too haha. Can’t recommend him enough!

The surgery was unsuccessful surgery, and the harm was compounded by Dr. Tus refusal to admit or even consider that possibility. When I was still experiencing substantial pain after recovering from surgery to remove endometriosis, Dr. Tu suggested therapy and meditation. He told me sometimes the pain is in a patients mind and that there was no physical reason for me to be in pain. The next year was extremely difficult physically and mentally thanks to the medical gaslighting from Dr. Tu.The pain interfered with my ability to get things done, hurting my relationships and my career. I missed out on so many opportunities (professionally & socially) and barely managed to finish graduate school (at least a year later than I wouldve if I hadnt lost so much time to pain). If only Dr. Tu had been willing to consider the surgery may have missed endometriosis (instead of insisting I needed psychological treatment), I wouldve gotten the second opinion that finally resulted in successful surgery and substantial pain relief a year or so earlier.Eventually the pain made me desperate enough to seek a second opinion despite Dr. Tus many assurances there was nothing physically wrong with me. I cant describe the relief I felt when Dr. Sinervo (Center for Endometriosis in Georgia) looked at photos from my surgery with Dr. Tu and spotted disease Dr. Tu had overlooked. He said he knew of Dr. Tu and that Dr. Tu normally does good work, but he was disappointed to see my case.So it turns out the pain was not in my head, as Dr. Tu suggested, but instead caused by adenomyosis (completely missed by Dr. Tu) and deeply infiltrating endometriosis (DIE) that he failed to properly remove. So a bit over a year after my failed Dr. Tu surgery, I needed to have a hysterectomy, oophorectomy, and bowel resection, and I finally, finally experienced a major decrease in pain.Im glad I eventually sought a second opinion despite Dr. Tus medical gaslighting. But I really wish I could have avoided the unsuccessful surgery with Dr. Tu (since each abdominal surgery causes more adhesions) and the year of pain that followed from letting Dr. Tu convince me the pain was in my head instead of due to severe endometriosis and adenomyosis that Dr. Tu failed to treat.

Dr. Tu successfully removed very large fibroids laparoscopic way. Recovery was fast, all my symptoms are resolved, very grateful. His team is great. Communication is easy via Northshore connect. His team responds quickly and kindly to the messages.

Wonderful doc, has made my quality of life significantly better.
