We worked with American Adoptions to adopt our beautiful newborn daughter. Jason, Melanie, and Carly were a dream team to work with and helped us through the entire process. Our adoption journey was absolutely perfect and we matched with our birth family in about a month of becoming active and had our daughter in our arms 6 months later. I know not every adoption journey goes as flawless and smoothly as ours but American Adoptions will help you no matter what your journey looks like. We looked at a few agencies but ended up going with AA due to their Adoption Disruption Insurance and due to the fact that they worked with birth mothers in most states, not just our home state of Texas. Our daughter just turned 15 months old and are thinking about starting the process to hopefully adopt a second child. Unfortunately, adoption is not inexpensive but we were luckily able to get some financial assistance through our jobs and the child tax credit. If anyone is considering working with AA please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions.

Working with American Adoptions was a very smooth process. All of my questions were answered and the amount of support they provide is astounding. Adoption can be a complicated and emotional process, but Shannon put me at ease and was reassuring. I was able to talk openly and honestly and know that I had people who would be right beside me along the way. We have developed a loving relationship with the adoptive parents - this has been a blessing and without Shannon and her compassion, things may have been completely different. Thank you guys for showing us so much love and understanding during such an important event in our lives.

American Adoptions helped us from our beginning inquiries about adopting a child all the way through placement of our daughter, and we know theyll be there for years to come. This agency is open, transparent, and knowledgeable. We love the open and inclusive policies of the agency, which differ greatly from some religiously-affiliated agencies. We highly recommend American Adoptions for prospective adoptive parents and birth mothers alike.

My husband and I just recently had a successful adoption opportunity. American Adoptions was fantastic from start to finish. We found the higher cost(at least in our situation, may not be true for all situations) to be worth the amazing assistance we were provided from start to finish. Each person we worked with at each step was kind, courteous, and patient with us. They recognized the emotion associated with this process and were very respectful of this in their communications with both us and the birth family. I remember reading these reviews when we were starting the process, so I hope that this review might help you to make the best decision with your family. Would recommend and plan to use their services again when we decide to start this process again.
