The absolute best GYN in Staten Island! Prior to finding Dr. Mostafavi! I was not satisfied with my prior gyn! So I browsed and I found Dr. Mostafavi and made an appointment immediately! When I say she’s thorough she’s THOROUGH! She’s not a come in… go out… next ! You’re not a number ! You’re a human being and she ensures that she gives you the time you deserve per visit! What was lacking from my prior gyn! She fulfilled it every single time! She gave honest advice, she will take the time to do every and anything required to ensure that you are taken care of properly! She’s respectful , very funny and down to earth! Not to mention very beautiful! Inside and out!!! Dr. Noreen, you’re an absolute blessing and Thank you for being who you are!!! Never change! Keep shining ! We appreciate you so much!!!!

The doctor was wonderful, however correspondence is horrendous. I had several sonograms taken in June and to date I havent received my results. There has been several back and forth responses and nothing. A bunch of jerking around and I still have not had my results given to me. And when I contact the text messaging, they told me the office is temporarily closed and the doctor comes in once a month... how nice!!! Its sad that no one cares any more!!!!!!

Dr. Noreen was very thorough and took the time to explain everything to me. I had a good experience while I was there, but I tried to get in touch with her several times by phone and through their online system and no one responds. I originally went to her for PCOS and she put me on birth control. I have genuine concerns about how I am feeling and to be ignored by your doctor is extremely frustrating. I completely understand that I am not her only patient, but at some point someone should at least answer the phone.

I had a really terrible experience at this office. The doctor inserted an IUD for me 2 and a half years ago. I had to reschedule multiple office visits after waiting for an hour in the waiting room along with others who were also waiting. I called the office multiple times to discuss my concerns about the IUD and the side effects I was experiencing, but they were not responsive. Every time I saw the doctor, she did not review my chart until I reminded her of our previous conversations about my side effects. She ordered tests because of the side effects, and she was unable to find the IUD. In 2023, I received a bill for $200. I reached out to get clarification and express that I was still in pain. I left voicemails and messages on the KLARA platform. The office manager finally reached out to me after 4 months, asking me to give the doctor another chance and blaming the office staff for the mistakes. She promised that I would be seen first and would not have to wait. In August 2024, I decided that the IUD was not right for me. Initially, they told me the next available appointment was on November 8th. After requesting a telehealth visit, they offered me an appointment on August 15th at 1 pm. On the day of the visit, I called the office twice with no response. I then sent a message on KLARA and received a call back. The front desk informed me that the office was temporarily closed until September and they were only seeing emergency patients and conducting telehealth visits. When I got into the office, the doctor seemed to remember nothing about my case or the problems I had faced. Before attempting to remove the IUD, I reminded her that she couldnt see the strings last time, but she assured me that it wouldnt be a problem. Despite trying four different tools and angles, the visit took 3 hours and 42 minutes. I received no offer of pain relief, just a glass of water. The sonogram machine initially wasnt working and even after it started working, the removal process was still difficult. The doctor also asked me questions during the procedure. Finally, the IUD was removed, and the doctor left the room without saying anything else. Two days later, I was bleeding heavily and tried to reach out to the office three times via KLARA and left one voicemail, but the doctor has not returned my call. This is the worst experience Ive ever had with a doctors office, and I plan to file an official complaint.

I have never felt more comfortable and heard with anyone ever. She listened, spent the time and shared every detail and plan she made WITH me! She and her staff are absolutely lovely, so kind and so accommodating. I am so grateful to have found her!

You always hope when you see a new doctor, they are going to be as good as you hoped for. Better if your Irish and lucky. I was a little concerned when I read a couple of unflattering reviews. Well, I hit pay dirt! Did I wait a little bit? Yes. But you should be concerned when you dont! If no one wants to see a doctor then they arent busy. Do you want to see a doctor that no one else wants to see? I know I dont. She has to be one of the most thorough doctors.I have ever encountered in my life.Her assistant took more than an hour to document all my back history. She spent time discussing my entire back history. Now lets talk about the exam. Or lets not!! Lol. Lets just say I have never had a gynecologist Make sure everything was ok. All I know is Im finally happy knowing that someone has my best interest at heart. It certainly doesnt hurt that her staff is friendly courteous and amazing.🩷🩷🩷🩷

I’ve been sitting on whether or not to leave this review for two days now, but the frustration and disappointment this office made me feel needs to be known. I’ve been experiencing many side effects from going off of the pill within the last couple of months. I called to make an appointment with Dr. Mostafavi and they originally gave me an end of may appointment with the promise that the doctor or PA would call me in the meantime because I’ve truly been worried about my health. First problem here is no one ever called me after the promise that someone would reach out. The office called me again to cancel this end of may appointment due to the doctor all of a sudden changing her hours. Luckily, they were able to squeeze me in this past Friday for the first appointment at 9am. This was incredible news as I was hoping to speak with someone ASAP. I get to my appointment (again, I’m the first appointment of the day) right as the doors were opening. I wait for about 20 minutes until I’m finally called back for my vitals. After my vitals being taken, I wait another 30 minutes. At 9:55, I decide to ask how much longer as I should have been seen by now (you would think, since I was the first appointment!) I was told it would be another 20 minutes. At this point, I was furious and upset. WHY give me the first appointment of the day when I’m still waiting an hour and a half to be seen? What is taking so long for someone to come in my room to see me, when there’s literally NO ONE in front of me? It’s one thing to have to wait some time for an afternoon or evening appointment, but this was just an absolute let down. I’m already used to waiting a long time in this office but when you’re the first patient of the day, you shouldn’t have to wait at all. I left in tears and didn’t even end up seeing the doctor. I had another appointment that I had to make at 10:30 so it was impossible for me to stay and see her. I was told that I would be seen right away and me having to be out by 10:30 would not be an issue. I can’t stand to wait for someone who has absolutely no care or value for the time of others.

Although the wait was slightly longer than I expected it to be, my overall experience was very good. Dr Noreen and her staff were extremely pleasant and at the same time, extremely professional- and thorough. The office is very clean and well maintained.

Office has canceled on me 3 times in a row over the span of a year. Terrible practices and unreliable. Avoid and go see someone who actually goes to work for their patients not when they have free time.

Great Doctor and staff, very pleased with the care my mom received. Dr Mostafavi takes the time to discuss the treatment and follow up plans.

Despite being referred to me, my experience with Dr. Mostafavi wasnt positive. She arrived nearly 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment, and the procedure, which typically takes 15-20 minutes with other doctors, extended to an hour. While I appreciate her friendly nature, maintaining a more professional approach concerning the patients time is crucial. Towards the end, she spoke so quickly that I couldnt grasp the details of her advice, leaving me tired and frustrated. If you value timely and clear health information, I would not recommend her.

I saw this doctor awhile ago, and have put off a review because I just wanted to forget the experience. But I do feel like it’s important to share so that others can avoid what I went through. If you are plus size, avoid this doctor at all costs. She is extremely judgmental, will not listen to you, and only cares about looks. When I booked the appointment, I made sure to make it clear that I was in recovery from severe eating disorders and did not want to discuss my weight or weight loss. I focus on my overall health and not the number on the scale. This is what works for me. I was there for a simple Pap smear only. As soon as this doctor walked in the room, she said to me “hi, you know my friends have started these weight loss injections that you should try.” I was completely dumbfounded. I reminded her that I did not want to discuss that. She brought it up again several times throughout the visit. I was quite literally sweating because I was so anxious and overwhelmed. She kept insisting that there was something wrong with me because there’s no way someone could just be naturally heavy. I kept having to try to steer the conversation away. Never once did she ask about my lifestyle, my diet, my stress levels, my sleep habits, etc. She simply judged me based on the way I look without knowing a single thing about me. I left the visit nearly in tears. It has taken me years to overcome my eating disorders and to accept myself the way I am. It has taken me years to realize that I deserve to be healthy and to treat my body well without starving it. I take my health very seriously. I eat a balanced diet and move my body frequently. I manage my stress levels and sleep habits. However this doctor didn’t care about any of that. She just saw a fat person and decided that I needed to change who I am and be judged. Doctors like her are the reason I hate going to doctors and why I skip appointments. Doctors like her cause real harm to people and cause them to miss out on medical services because we are so sick of being judged. I cannot recommend enough that you see someone else instead. Unless you are thin, then maybe she will treat you like a human being and actually ask you about your habits.

Dr Noreen is a very smart and thorough doctor with a warm and compassionate nature. She’s a woman’s woman who addresses with ease teenage issues, the concerns of women in their twenties as well as middle age women. My daughters and I all leave her office feeling heard and understood and armed with solutions to our concerns. I am very happy to have her as our doctor!

Dr. Mostafavi is excellent. She is knowledgeable on all levels and takes her time with each patient.

She is a very thorough and knowledgeable doctor. Her staff is very nice and welcoming. She has a beautiful and clean office. It was a good visit all in all. The only reason I give her a 4 star and not 5 was because I was a new patient and waited for exactly 3 hours. I contemplated many times to get up and leave, the only reason why I decided to wait was because i had already driven there, paid my toll, waited so long already and because I knew she was a good gynecologist. She is a great doctor BUT that wait is ridiculous.

This was my first time seeing this GYN and from the moment I walked in her staff made me feel welcome. The office is completely sanitized, smells good and was exceptionally clean! Not to mention the decor was amazing. When I finally met the doctor she was so nice! She sat down and patiently listened to my extensive complicated history and all the issues I’ve had previously. She is extremely knowledgeable and when other doctors have not had answers she wasn’t gonna sit back and be comfortable with that. We’re starting on a treatment plan and I can’t be any happier. I met this doctor by chance and i want to thank Dr. Newman for referring me and as a result I’ve already referred a few friends and some of my family members. She is an amazing doctor. She gives you her honest opinion and her best medical advice. Go see her you won’t be disappointed.

Dr Noreen and her staff are just wonderful. Dr is caring, compassionate, on point and does her best to listen and care for your needs.

I totally enjoyed the experience at Dr Noreen’s. She and her staff are pleasant and passionate about their patient’s outcome and well being. Dr Noreen is a perfectionist and it made me comfortable that she was going to give me the best results possible. I was thrilled with my results. I looked rested, refreshed and rejuvenated and yet still looked like me, only a better version.

If I could give less than one star I would. At first she seemed to be a great doctor, but over the years the practice has gone downhill. When I first started going to her I thought she was amazing, sweet, thorough, and knowledgeable. Now it seems like all she wants you to do is sit in her office and wait for her. The wait time is incredible. Sometimes appointments are made when she doesnt even have hours and you have to reschedule after taking a day off from work to get to the appointment. Forget about getting a phone call returned about your test results. You can literally call several times a day, every day and no one will return your call. Needless to say I will not be recommending her to anyone or returning to the practice.

Upon arrival the receptionist was very welcoming and friendly. The waiting area was pleasant, bright and airy. I was very impressed how spotless the entire office was, including the examination room, every detail was thought out perfectly.The doctor was amazing. She took her time and engaged with me in such a friendly manner. I felt like I knew her for years. Our discussion regarding my examination was very comfortable and informative.

Dr. Noreen Mostafavi is a truly gifted OBGYN doctor. I recently had a hysterectomy and i sincerely thank her for connecting with me as a patient and helping me navigate my options while being respectful of them .Her follow up is magnificent and she has really been able to empathize with me as a woman !I will be recommending her to all my friends that are in need of great and thorough OBGYN

She is possibly the most thorough doctor I’ve ever met with. Even though I’m a new patient, talking to her feels like I’ve been talking to someone I’ve known my entire life. She takes her time, listens and tries to help you in any way possible. I just wish they would know how to book her patients in a more timely manner. The wait time to see her can be very long. With 3 kids at home, it can be very frustrating to deal with sometimes. My time is just as important as anyone else’s. Otherwise I love her!

Wonderful doctor, great bedside manner, the office was so clean and the front desk was so nice. I recommend 100%. very pleasant staff. Office is very clean not crowded no waiting time, doctor very knowledgeable and compassionate. Very happy to make appointment, the office is new, has parking on the rear, and has nice and clean reception and patient areas. As always, Dr. Kamal-Mostafavi is kind, down-to-earth, and non-judgemental during our appointments. She is also really thorough and makes sure my patient history is up to date and will run tests, take cultures, and further investigate any issue to make sure her patients are in their best health. After visiting several gynos on the island and having truly awful experiences, and as a young women concerned with maintaining good reproductive health for a lifetime Im happy to have found this great doctor.

Super unprofessional experience, listed every one of my concerns about birth control and was put on one that gave me every one that I was concerned for. Doesn’t answer the office phone or patient portal, even for other specialist to help my condition. Do not come here if you need actual help with anything PCOS related. You will be ignored, when i asked for a referral the exact response was “you really don’t need one i can treat it” then was put on birth control as “treatment” which doesn’t fix the issue. When trying to get my blood test results no phone was answered for me or the practice in which I went to. the positive reviews must be fake, everything about this practice is super unprofessional. Do not come if you have an actual medical condition, botox maybe.

Dr. Noreen gives you personalized health care. She listens, asks questions and is determined to get you answers, leaves no stone unturned and treats you like family. She truly cares and is taking thorough care of me. A beautiful soul that practices medicine as a doctor of yesteryear.

Dr Mostafavi and her staff were wonderful. I felt extremely comfortable with the entire experience from introduction to full examination and explanation of reasons why my visit was necessary.Dr Mostafavi is extremely compassionate and educated in her specialty.There is no doubt in my mind that she is going to tackle my situation full throttle, and I have no doubt in my mind that my health concerns will be dealt with, with combined efforts of my other doctors to combat and conquer my concerns.I highly recommend her services to anyone seeking gynecological care.I look forward to our next encounter, which will be in just a few weeks.

Dr mostafavi is a kind personable very capable doctor. I highly recommend her. I have doing mona lisa touch. Not only is it good for great sex but prevents urinary tract infections from menopause.

All the nurses were so nice! Everyone was very considerate! Care was good. I felt like they were doing everything they could to make me feel comfortable and to make sure I was feeling okay. They didnt dismiss my symptoms and would really listen to me. The only issue is that the wait time was quite long.

My first impression is very positive. I was impressed with the office: newly renovated, clean, and bright. The staff was polite and competent. The doctor was thorough and did not overlook even the tiniest detail. I felt that the entire office staff has a very high degree of professionalism.

At the beginning when I started going a year ago to Dr. Mostafavi I thought she was very knowledgeable. The staff was kind. I’m not sure what’s going on I’ve been messaging back and forth and they never return my calls. The staff can give me some information but not a ton so they wait on doctor Mostafavi. I’ve waited to have my calls answered. I was told she was in a conference. I’ve even messaged through klara and I keep getting delayed. The other day I waited two hours. They put me in a room for 20 min with a nurse who was very nice and very insightful. Then she came in, then I had to wait to get my tests done, it took about three hours. Half way through the year I had trouble commuting to get to them and I just needed some answers. She wouldn’t tell me my lab results unless I was in office. Either they are training new staff and making updates. My symptoms are getting worse. Just don’t really feel super valued in this place.

Dr. Noreen Kamal-Mostafavi treated me professionally and saved my life. I thought I had a UTI, she listened and treated it. A few days later I called again, she brought me back in and FINALLY diagnosed what can only be described as a life saving illness. She immediately sent me to the ER for EXACTLY what she had diagnosed - cholestasis=gallstones & urgent, life saving gallbladder removal.Other Doctors missed this (2) but thanks to Dr. Noreens loving care of the WHOLE patient, her education and experience, she saved my life. Im forever grateful.Go see her, shes sweet and is here for us! Finally a woman GYN that cares about our Quality of Life!!!!!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with dr. Noreen Mostafavi. Last year, I had an gynecology emergency and the office refused to return my phone calls for days. I was never able to get an appt and had to find an emergency walk- in clinic. Every time I need to fill a prescription, there is an issue. The wait is over 3 hours every appointment- even when you are told you will be the first appt of the day.The staff is very sweet and office is beautiful, but as a patient, you really aren’t cared for. So, the diamonds and marble everywhere isn’t really worth the hype. go somewhere else.

Very bad experience, unprofessional office. Was not able to see the doctor. The office called me and rescheduled twice. One time they canceled the day before. I told them after first cancelation that I have serious issue and Im taking my day off to see the doctor. They dont care, calling day before to cancel the appointment. Big disappointment.

Between the Clerical staff, PA to the rest of the team including Dr. Noreen everyone has been super nice which is completely refreshing. I’ve only been there twice and there is even an app to communicate. Office is super clean and gorgeous.

Dr. Noreen fixed a postpartum stitch that was done incorrectly at the hands of my former OBGYN Dr. Priolo and eased a lot of pain and suffering. The best bedside manner I’ve ever seen. Shes an amazing doctor and shes so friendly but so very professional.

My previous gyno of 40 years retired at the end of 2020 so I had to find a new gyno. Reading all the positives reviews on the website for Dr. Mostafavi, I was confident I found a competent replacement gyno. The routine annual went fine well enough, altho wait time was long. I told her abt an occasional problem I have and what my previous gyno prescribed which worked well for me. Instead, she prescribed a strong cream for me to use for 3 months straight in a private area. Then she wanted to order two invasive tests when I had no other alarming symptoms. She even said everything looked normal. Why were those tests needed? I keep telling the office I prefer the old cream that worked for me plus I only use it “as needed”. After several unreturned calls, I was told she wanted me to come in again for further evaluation after I just saw her 3 weeks prior. I had no new symptoms to warrant a second visit. On another matter, a friend also saw her for the first time. I had recommended Dr. Mostafavi after reading all the positive reviews. She saw the doctor weeks before me. Unfortunately, she has not seen a gyno in over 10 years. Doctor sent her for a routine mammo. Her mammo indicated right away a biopsy was needed and also possibly surgery was needed. It took my friend 4 calls over a two week period to get the referral to see the breast surgeon. No one returned her calls for days. Precious time wasted. Breast surgeon won’t schedule appt without a referral. Needless to say, my friend and I plan to look for another gyno for next year. While I’m happy most patients are staying with Dr. Mostafavi and I wish her well but she just lost two patients.Sorry for the negative review but this is what happened to me and my friend.

Dr. Mostafavi is friendly, knowledgeable, and generous of her time. The office itself is beautiful and her staff welcoming and efficient. I actually enjoyed my initial visit and look forward to my next. I have already recommended her to a friend and highly recommend her to all.

Absolutely infuriating dealing with this doctor and her office. I wish I read the 1-star reviews and avoid the headaches theyve caused me. Ive called them and messaged them through their new messaging system (which is a joke, no one replies or acknowledges you) to discuss my results and get my result reports and no one is getting back to me. Withholding medical records is illegal. Go somewhere else where theyll treat you with respect.

This place is bizarre & idk how they have a decent google rating…The doc shouldn’t put on her website that she knows anything about endometriosis, PCOS or anything slightly complex. This is more of a beauty /plastic surgery place than anything. Very, very strange place & doctor is uneducated on a lot of things. Maybe she’s good for lip filler tho! Lol

I’m a new patient but I connected with her right away on my first visit. First time a doctor has spent more than 5 mins during examination. She gives her patients all the time they need to get to the bottom of their issues. I’m glad her office accepted me as a patient!

First but not least when i entered, potentially looking to be a client. I was greated by one receptionist who was very nice i asked if me and my friend could use the rest room she said sure, the other receptionist came out and yelled at her co worker saying they are not allowed to use the restroom there not clients here. Which i found to be very unprofessional the way you speak to potiential clients says a lot about the office. Theres a way to talk to people than went on to yell at my friend and told her to get out. You treat people with basic decency which she did not do with us. So you lost 2 clients and potentially more people we would have refered if the services where good over being rude and the bathroom. Of this is how you want your establishment to be represented, than thats up to you, but these receptionists represent your buisness and the money you potientially make, you dobt know whos qalkong into your doors and checking up on the establishment or enquiring about it. I def will not be going here. And i hope the receptionist are looked at and taught better manners with potiential clients theres no reason to be rude and slam doors in peoples faces this is unacceptable. I will def be making a 311 call and putting in a complaint.

Dr Noreen K. Mostafavi is a wonderful, genuine, kind, caring and knowledgeable GYN dr. She makes you feel comfortable and gives you a thorough exam and diagnosis. I highly recommend her. Youll be happy and satisfied when you go for an exam. Deanna

Office is very nice and clean but the wait is ridiculous I waited over 2 hours to be seen just for intake since I was a new patient then another 40 mins to see the doctor once inside the room another 15-20 min the doctor was ok asked questions and answered my concerned but thats nothing you cant find someone else ...afterwards i had to return to do a vaginal sonogram because the tech was not available, I returned the next day only to wait an hour before I walked out. I am now looking for a New GYN for my next annual no way am I loosing life at this office. 3-4 hours of my life I will never get back.

I can’t be more happy with dr Mostafavi and all the staff. She took a lot of time with me and made sure everything was ok. The staff was very helpful and want out of there way to make it aPleasant visit. I would highly recommend DrMostafavi. I was very happy with my results!!

I really like dr mostafavi but I decided Not to be a patient there anymore because the last time I was there her nurse was telling a few of us in the waiting room about her having a baby at a young age bc she “doesn’t believe in abortion” because “god gave you a gift for a reason” I just think it’s SO unprofessional to tell your personal beliefs especially on such a touchy subject in a gynecologist office. Also I’ve had an abortion so I was just really offended.

Dr. Kamal is very professional, knowledgeable , thorough and down to earth. She has been my doctor for over 5 years and I have always had a positive experience.

Dr. Noreen is a very carrying physician who gives her patients the information needed to make an informed decision. She takes time with each of us and does not end the conversation until all questions are answered.

She’s great and it’s rare to find such amazing doctor who knows so much and is so concern about every patient . The only down side is it’s not an obgyn or else so many prego women would get a chance to experience an awesome doctor and staff.

Very nice office. Doctor spend a good amount of time with me instead of just rushing off. Not sure if it’s because of covid but I had no wait time. I was very satisfied with the visit.
