HCA Florida Capital Pelvic Health and Incontinence

I had an unfortunately disappointing and unprofessional experience at Florida Capital Pelvic Health and Incontinence and with Dr. Douso. If you are looking for trauma-informed care, this is not the place for you. When I saw Dr. Douso, I shared my list of concerns with him which is when he curtly informed me that he did not do that kind of gynecology and could not address my questions. He did ask another nurse to join us for the gynecological exam, which I appreciated. But he did not inform or talk me through what he was doing during the exam at all. As I was already nervous, this did not reassure me. Their office also required me to complete and mail back new patient paperwork prior to confirming my appointment. Which I did not mind, other than it seems like an outdated process. However, as soon as I arrived at the appointment, I was informed that they did not have it. This means that paperwork with my private health information has been lost, either in the postal service or in their office, both of which concern me. The nurses, however, were very welcoming and patient with me, which is why I am choosing to leave two stars, instead of just one.

Most definitely the most professional and friendly health care visit I have ever had. Dr.Douso is a wonderful person. He takes the time to listen and understand what is going on, instead of just pushing you along. I really appreciate him and his staff. He comes highly recommended in my book.

What a refreshing experience! Everyone was friendly and cared about me. I didn’t feel like just another patient, quickly being moved in and out, for money. Dr. Douso was the kind of doctor that, back in the day, the kind you were accustomed to seeing: caring, engaging, conversational. He saw me as an individual with my own unique needs.

Dr. Michael Douso & Staff including Joyce deserve 100 star rating. They are so compassionate and understanding they really do care. ( years of great treatment)I brag about them to anyone who will listen. A true blessing from God and then some. I was impressed with Dr. Douso. He listened to my concerns. Read the narrative history and description of present problems I gave him with full attention. He was frank, informative and willing to help find a solution in partnership with me, the patient. He had compassion. This is a rare quality in many medical professionals and I appreciated being treated like a person instead of just a case to be dealt with. I highly recommend him..

Dr. Douso is very kind, caring, and compassionate. He has been our family doctor for quite some time. You can ask him anything and he makes you feel comfortable. We ladies know that has been a concern of ours for many years. Dr. Douso is special when God chose him for this profession he blessed him! So many babies have been born by his hands, and so many womens lives have been saved by him! I am just grateful to be his patient.

After 4 referrals, I finally arrived at Dr. Michael Dousos office. I was very appreciative of the professionalism in the office, his nurse & the doctor himself. I did not feel I waited too long in the office to be seen. I did not feel rushed as I asked questions & he reassured me even though surgery was the only option left to me. He is personable with a sense of humor & spoke in terms I could easily understand. I especially liked being able to access the patient portal online later with questions & have them answered before the end of the day.

Dr. Douso has been my doctor for over 18 years. His practice has changed focus over the years from ob/gyn to a more specialized practice, yet the one thing that has never changed is his care and compassion for his patients. His entire staff is wonderful and I am proud to be a long term patient. Excellent medical care and the best bedside manner. Thank you.

Dr. Douso is the best doctor ever! He’s very passionate about his job. He’s been my doctor for over 20 years and I wouldn’t trade him for anything. He listens and and takes his time explaining anything you may have concerns about. Love him dearly!

Dr. Douso is one of the best physicians I have known - his passion for his patients and the quality of care that he provides is unparalleled. He was one of the few doctors today that really takes the time to listen to his patients, and truly believes in the well-being of every patient.

Very well-run, beginning with the gracious receptionist to my in-office appointment. Dr. Douso promptly addressed my concern and provided treatment and surgery appointment schedule through his nurse. I wish I known about them sooner!

I have been a patient of Dr. Dousos for many years and he is without question one of the best doctors I have ever found in any discipline. I had been to MANY doctors prior to Dr. Douso and no one helped me. Dr. Douso listened to me, something the others had clearly not done, and simply by listening to me was able to determine what was wrong and help me get it fixed. After being in pain for many years and going from doctor to doctor seeking help I never received, finding him was a miracle and I will be forever grateful to him. I cannot recommend him highly enough!

I have complete confidence in Dr. Douso. He is very kind and takes the time to explain everything that is going on with you. He will not leave the room until he is sure you are clear on your diagnosis and treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Douso to anyone needing his services.

I found upon my very first visit with Dr. Douso, and each visit there after that He is such a warm caring Doctor who gives my concerns and health issues 100% of his very best care. I have been treated with respect and dignity each and every visit from the lovely office staff , his assistant, to Dr. Douso. There medical testing equipment for bladder issues is state of the art modern and these tests are so trust worthy in giving the proper results so that Dr. Douso can then offer the exact diagnosis and treatment plan for his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Douso and his staff , and would of given a much higher rating but 5 stars was the highest offered!!!

I recently went to my first appointment as a new patient. The appointment started on time and flowed through the initial medical interview to the exam with no extended waits. The doctor answered all my questions and did an excellent job of explaining his diagnosis and treatment plan. His assistant was equally patient and thorough. When I got home I told my husband that this was the most efficient medical appointment I have experienced in many years . Unfortunately, I find this to be rare, all the more reason I appreciated it.

Dr. Douso is very kind and competent. He listens to your problems and has suggestions that help, one time I called in saying I had a UTI, and by the end of the day, hi staff had phoned in a prescription for an antibiotic.

He was amazing before and after surgery. He answered every question and concern I had. He has the best receptionist whos always polite when I come in Dr. Duosos office. Great staff and Doctor.

Dr. Douso is a compassionate caring Dr. who listened, and diagnosed my problem quickly and correctly after being misdiagnosed for years. I would recommend him to anyone I know!

The staff is always so friendly and helpful...they go beyond the call of duty! They are always prompt (!). Dr Douso is obviously very knowledgeable...prepare yourself for a bit of a sense of humor : ).
