Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County

I recently visited the Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County to pick up a birth certificate and I was genuinely impressed with the service. Despite the daunting reviews I had come across, my experience was nothing short of excellent. The staff was incredibly attentive and courteous, making the process smooth and pleasant. I could be outlier but I’m not complaining. A piece of advice for future visitors: make sure to fill out the form before approaching the window. It definitely helps streamline your visit.

I would like to voice my disappointment in the lack of service, and rudeness displayed yesterday evening. I arrived inside the door of vital statistics, at 4:22 pm, eight minutes before closing; for a birth certificate. It took about 1 minute to grab a number and fill out the application. There was one client inside, seated and being assisted; It was exactly 4:25, when the employee yelled. “We’re closed” Its the simple acts of kindness, that matter. I’m there, because I need a service…You’re there because it’s your job. It would have taken less than the 5 minutes remaining to complete our simple task.

I’ve been without my baby’s milk for 3 weeks now, they said I needed to come in office for my appointment which was today. I get there and they take my sons height and weight and as soon as they pricked his finger, they told us to leave and finish my appointment over the phone. I’ve been on the phone for 3 hours and as soon as I talk to someone they automatically say their line is closed and not taking anyone else for today. How CONVENIENT! I had to wait 2 weeks to get IN OFFICE and as soon as I get there I have to finish on the phone? Absolutely disgusting staff, I have multiple prescriptions they HAVE to give me for my son.

Went on the day of my cruise to obtain my sons birth certificate. The staff was nice and I obtained it within 15 minutes.

The septic permiting department has the worst staff in the whoke dpto. Apatently they are so corrupt that they refuse to point home owners to the right direction all the time. They are pushing everyone to hire a septic conoany to do the job that by law home owners are entitle to do. Mike, the manager is one of the must corrupt one.

System was down online for Birth certificates and in my area (plant city/Lakeland) - drove the 40 mins here and was in and out in 8 mins! Very pleased with the service.

As now a former patient of over 21years since 2003 with the Specialty Care infectious Disease clinic the receptionist staff are very egotistical and treat you less than human, if you want to be dehumanized belittled and degraded then do not go to this clinic..the amazing staff that once managed this office with empathy and care are now being replaced with unprofessional incompetence! Thank God I have medical insurance to choose other medical treatment options elsewhere.. I empathize with those who dont have a choice and are trapped in a cycle of being treated like a burden to the system that is how these employees make u feel like! And it doesnt matter which staff attends to you because they are all rouge, clueless and seem to be training each other.. which has become so obvious that management not only failed the employees but also the clients ! we are no longer patients, we are now clients! Welcome to the business and corporation of medical health!

Prohibited LOAFING. And this lady worse a mask behind a plastic partition so nice of them to hire challenged people.🥰 Otherwise the birth certificate process was very swift. Lucille Ball is UNFUNNY.

The staff here are extremely kind and helpful. I have been here many times and the wait is never more than a few minutes.

This place is an easy in and out for birth certificates. The people working here though, are miserable. Annette Parker has zero common courtesy. I get it, you work for the county, but there is absolutely no reason to make a quick visit that horrible and unwelcoming. Do better.

Great experience. No line. I went on a Tuesday morning and walked in and out in 10 minutes.

They said I make too much to qualify! Uhhh does my baby make anything? No! And what am I suppose to be, homeless to qualify for anything?! I barely make enough for bills and my wife doesn’t work. We Probably will be homeless on the side of the road with signs soon! Then maybe we’ll qualify! Now my baby has nothing to eat! Thanks again Florida for nothing!!

THIS LOCATION NEVER AGAIN. Slowww! I waited over an hour . Someone please explain to me why an appt is necessary if I need to sit for 2 hrs anyway?Now I had to reschedule because I had to leave to pick up my kids from school. They think people got time for their fb scrollings or w.e.

Nobody here wants to work. How are you going to cancel my appointment after I just drove from Orlando here and now they wanna reschedule my appointment for another day. 🙃 Very bad planning on your part. So disappointing in this place.

Walked in filled out my papers and was seen within 10 minutes. Called ahead of time and they were professional and so helpful on the correct information. I could of went to tax collectors off Falkenburg but this was much better experience. Thank you.

Im not very happy with the phone services. I have waited on hold for an hour! I have things to doooooo! Im 38 weeks pregnant and seriously irritated at the fact they supposedly are too busy to answer the dang phone. And its not only these people its every number Ive tried to call. Im soo frustrated like I really need a new wic card. Please help.

Just left from this office and I must say the staff is extremely rude. I thought this office would be better seeing as the reviews for this location were better then others. It’s only Monday and these ladies seem miserable, especially the one I had to deal with. She sits in the middle. Treat people better or get another job!

Picking up our last babies birth certificate was a breeze here, and the staff was so nice.

Went there today, although I had to wait 4 hours the staff went above and beyond to take care of me. And they were all so sweet! It was worth waiting so long to be taken care of so greatly! I highly recommend this FHD.

Wow, I called to find out if I could pick up a birth certificate and the lady on the phone was very very rude and said of course I could get the birth certificate than turned around and said I couldn’t get one there and didn’t understand why I was confused. Never had to leave a review over a phone call, ridiculous.

I came in all upset due to fees and the workers were so polite and patient that they calmed me down and helped me ultimately coming to a great resolve, the patients and understanding are impeccable. They rely care

I come to this place all the time for my W.I.C needs. Their awesome. They remodeled it and it looks nice and more spacious. Always willing to help when needed and answer all my question. I avoid going to any other W.IC. office because I like the staff and placement.

Appointments are usually a quick in and out. Staff is always friendly, helpful and cater to my appointment process in a timely manner. Very attentive.

I got my covid-19 test to proof at my job and they dont provide paper is just a phone call with the results.How is possible that I cant get a paper with my test results.No even a email.... I call to different phone numbers that the different operators in the office provide me but nobody knows what I need to do.

I recommend never go to that place because they always have an excuse and you wait 3 o 4 h and they never give you the treatment . I was in there 4 time and they always have a drama for give a treatment for prep hiv .dont lost you time in that clinic
