Contemporary Womens Care - West Orange

Have been a patient of Dr. Zúñiga for more than 10 years, and it’s always a great pleasure to see her. Her patience and dedication plus bedside manners are excellent. I drive 30 min to the closest office and I don’t mind at all. Highly recommended. Plus she speaks fluent Spanish. She always gets 10 stars from me and my mom.

Dr. Zuniga has been my OB-GYN for a couple of years and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the care I’ve received. Whether it’s for routine check-ups or addressing specific concerns, she listens carefully and provides thoughtful, thorough advice. She makes me feel comfortable and never seems to rush through appointments, which is so important in healthcare. The office is clean, well-run, and the staff is always welcoming.However, there are times I’ve had to wait for 20-30 mins after my appointment time to see the doctor, and the elevator is a little scary LOL, but even with that, I still highly recommend Dr. Zuniga and Axia Health office in West Orange for anyone looking for a caring, knowledgeable, and attentive OB-GYN and office.

The ease of making an appointment and to be seen in the office in such a short amount of time was what struck me the most for my personal time is very limited. Appointment day went well— no wait and the staff and doctor were pleasant and professional.

I am beyond grateful for how my husband and I were treated at the West Orange clinic. Dr. Herrighty, Nurse Judy and ultrasound professional Giovanna were the sweetest and most caring people to us! Location is clean and organized. Front desk super efficient and polite. We are very glad we find a place to call my doctor’s office!

The one star solely reflects the test result response from either the nurse or the medical assistant/ receptionist. This was my 1st visit to Woman’s Care- West Orange location and it was somewhat pleasant until the test results were released. The results were sent via the app followed by a call from the staff. I was told by a lady that my results were “ great” however, that’s not what was written in black and white ( lab results). I called in for further explanations but was meet with a voicemail. Later that day, my call was returned and after explaining to her what I read via the portal her response was accompanied by a few giggles and another vague response ( I won’t share here)! How unprofessional can one be? Why wasn’t I told exactly what was going on instead of a response of everything is “great”? How can a medical “professional “ totally ignore/ mislead/ misdiagnose a patient?I won’t return to this location or any other location! They have shown that they are not professional enough nor caring enough to be medical professionals! This is literally disgusting and people should be given a fair chance to know upfront what their HEALTH can/may be affected by!

Contemporary Woman’s has been my GYN go to for over a decade now. Everyone there is friendly and professional. Dr. Graff answers my questions or concerns without annoyance and just has a great bedside manner.

Dr. Jennifer Graf is an amazing Gynecologist. She has great bedside manners, very attentive and always makes the visit very comfortable. Great team as well from front end to NPPs. Highly recommend this group especially Dr. Graf.

My visit with Dr. Herrity was very informative. She took time to explain everything to me and gave me the opportunity to ask questions. She is patient and kind. The nurse who helped me was wonderful! I cant remember her name but she has been working there for many years. She is older with salt and pepper short hair.

Been going to contemporary women’s care for years. Love Dr. Zuniga . Staff is good and very helpful with questions. Highly recommend this practice.

Everyone at both Kearny and West Orange Offices were amazing from the office staff to the sonogram technicians and of course the doctors as well!

I love Dr Graf and the rest of the staff…BUT every time I go to the west orange office the wait is so long. I had a 5:45 apt. Didn’t get into the office until 7, then waiting another 30min for the dr. All for a 5min apt. There has to be an organizational issue. I realize not everyone is there for a quick annual as I was, but an hour and 45min past my apt time is ridiculous.

No long wait. Kind, friendly employees. Doctor was excellent. I felt so comfortable.

Worst doctors office ever! Find another doctor! Any doctor, find a homeless person on the street you’ll probably get treated better than if you walk into Contemporary Women’s Care. Dr Graf is actually nice, but she’s not nice enough to make up for how everyone else at this practice is going to treat you if you make the mistake of entering this office seeking care. You will wait at least an hour-2 hours for a 5 minute appointment and they will not let you ask any questions. Even if it’s your first pregnancy they do not care, don’t have questions, cuz you’re not gonna get them answered. Don’t expect anyone to give you your results to your important medical tests, you’ll have to call and deal with the rude office staff and again if you have questions it will bother the office staff if you ask and they’ll most likely give you wrong information, like when they told me I didn’t have to fast before taking the 3 hour glucose test. Expect them to order the correct tests? They won’t, they’ll order the wrong tests or they will order duplicate tests for no reason and then bill you for them and expect you pay for them twice despite there being no medical need to check your blood type or RH status twice. They’ll even order the wrong genetic testing and then order another $349 test, tell you you won’t have to pay again but the bill will come and so will the threatening collections letters. Good luck getting them to help you with that! It’s been 4-5 months for me they still haven’t corrected my 5/11 invoice and it’s now 10/3. If on the other hand you want to have an important test run again to check if your levels are back to normal because increased levels couldLead to stillbirth they will fight you on running that test, why? Because they’re too busy checking your blood type multiple times and insisting it was medically necessary and “how they do it for everyone.” If you love yourself and your unborn baby, take the time now to find another doctor! Stay away from Contemporary Womens Care, after my horrible experience I would say stay away from anyone in the Axia Womens Health system.

I’ve been a patient here for many years. Two babies and many visits later, I still highly recommend this office. The doctors are amazing - patient, knowledgeable and caring; the staff are professional and kind. Couldn’t ask for anything better.

Very friendly and professional staff. Usually always on time with appointments and doctors are very knowledgeable, take the time to talk one on one with you and listen to your concerns.

This is my 2nd year with this practice and it was much better going in the morning than the evening. I saw another Provider this time and my annual was quick and painless,

It was my first time to visit the clinic. I was seen on time. Nurses are great. It was pleasant.

Honestly after seeing all the great reviews I was disappointed. I walked in 10 minutes before my appointment time and was met with a rude “can I help you”? from the lady at the front desk. No hi, hello, how are you, smile, nothing. Waited about 20 minutes until I was taken to the exam room. I waited over 45 minutes for the doctor with no heads up. Then when the dr finally came in, instead of taking the time to listen to my history and concerns, she rushed me to lay down and completed the entire exam and Pap smear while I was still talking. It was very uncomfortable and painful, I would expect a gynecologist to warn you before they enter, but not here because she seemed to be in a rush. I waited over an hour in this office just to be seen for a grand total of 4 minutes. I felt like crying after I left because it took me time to gain the courage to go back to the gyn after having a baby 2 years ago. Won’t be coming to this office again.

Amazing experience at the West Orange office. Bridget (the ultrasound tech) was absolutely amazing! This is my first baby and she made me feel so comfortable and fielded all of my (many) questions. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Judy who took my blood was also great and made me feel right at home. Thank you all so much for such a great visit!

They are very but when they called in you have to wait over 30 min before you see the doctor

I’ve beeN seeing Dr. Graf , Dr. Wimmer and Dr. Zuniga for years (about 15 years now). I absolutely love them and entrusted them with delivering my 2 babies. They’re the absolute best and kindest doctors. All the staff are so wonderful too! I have nothing bad to say and I’m beyond thankful to have such a great practice on speed dial!

This is the best OBGYN office I have ever been to for many reasons. For one, I was able to get an appointment so quickly. Secondly, my wait was under several minutes. But what was really impressive is how caring Dr.Graf was. She answered all of my questions and by no means did she hurry me off.

This was my first visit to Dr. Graf and there was no awkwardness. The Dr. and staff were friendly and competent . I was made to feel comfortable immediately. Dr. Graf did a thorough exam and then took time to answer my questions . Even though I waited a bit, it was a positive experience, I felt that when it was my turn, time would also be spent with me, which is exactly what occurred. Excellent all around for me. I have found the care I wanted.

Dr. Wimmer has amazing bedside manner and has compassion. She did an amazing job on my surgery and I am very happy with having her as my doctor.

My experience was awful. My doctor first of all violated hippa by giving medical information to someone that is not me. Other than that I waited for over an hour and a half. Once the doctor came in she did not wait for the legally mandated chaperone and started the exam. The chaparone came in later leaving the door open while multiple people walked by and saw my naked. To top it off all my prescriptions were sent to different CVS none of which where the correct one told to the doctor.

The lady at the front got no compassion at all. I understand about late policy but also calling me that my appointment is being cancelled because I am 15 minutes late and I am already at the building and infront of her and still did not even care and just proceeded to tell it is our policy saying she called me to resched while I am already infront of herI said I understand policy because I work in same environment and she chuckles oh so you understand.Well my part understand with compassion and talk to patient with regard to their reason. Not dismissing them like a rug. I only want to go here for a reason I got my annual exam here last year and I did not know and they did not see that I was 5 weeks pregnant and I end up having a miscarriage.

I have been going to a Contemporary Women’s Care for several years. I love the staff and Dr DeGraff is amazing and as a doctor she is knowledgeable and caring to her patients. She is a pleasure

Lovely doctors, pleasant office. But today I waited in the examining room for 45 minutes. After being told the doctor would be in shortly. No apology, or even recognition that she was very late.

Don’t come here they make an appointment with you. And you are seen 1 hour later or more. The worst !!!!!!!!!!

These ladies are the best. I have have seen each Physician and Nurse Practioner there through out the years and they are all equally knowledgeable, professional and attentive to your needs. I love that Tricia ❤️ she is a staple to their facility. I will continue to support this group as they have always supported and provided great care.

I have to say at first I was skeptical about going to this new Dr., but I have to say my experience was wonderful. I had such low expectations due to my past experiences with other locations I definitely had my guard up. This place was wonderful and they have found themselves another patient going for the long run. The Dr. was professional and down to earth. The nurses were nice and also professional and down to earth as well. If I could give more stars I would. Thank you Contemporary Womens Care for your service. I will be recommending my friends and family.

I couldn’t be more happy with a Dr. & staff as I am with Dr. Graf and everyone in her office. They are all so friendly helpful, & caring . Highly recommend Contemporary Women’s Care, you don’t feel like just a number like most doctors offices these days .

I want to preface this review saying that the doctor I had was great; she was very caring and attentive to my needs. However, the receptionist was beyond rude. It had been 40 minutes since my appointment, so I went to ask how much longer I should wait; I asked the receptionist “excuse me” to which she ignored. Then, I asked in a louder tone to which she ignored AGAIN. There was another woman next to her who definitely saw me but still didn’t say anything. All the patients in the waiting room flashed me a concerned look as I just had to sit back down. Humiliating.

The front desk staff leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Everything is great until you reach them. I this was not my doctor for over 20 yrs. I would leave. I miss the days when everyone was nice . From the Medical Asst. to the doctor. To the front desk. That great experience leave once it’s time to checkout. My advice… get better attitudes.

Bridget is an incredible ultrasound technician. She is professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. She takes time to explain everything she is looking at and for on the ultrasound. Bridget also answers all of my questions and puts me at ease. Thanks so much!

Honestly my best experience going to a Gyn. I had an appointment at 9:45 a.m and I was out at 10:20 a.m Super fast!Everybody is super gentle and friendly (which I appreciate it) I forgot the doctor’s name but she was super super nice, she even took a second to answer some questions that I had in the nicest way. Absolutely recommended!

Absolutely amazing staff! Caring, comforting and a great sense of humor. My NP Danielle really took time to answer all my questions, listened to me when I spoke and genuinely cared about my physical health. Highly recommend this office to any woman.

The office is clean. Dr Marianne Herrighty is very nice, courteous and friendly. The staff who assisted Dr. Herrighty are also friendly and polite.

This was my first time meeting with Dr. Zuniga. After no longer being able to see my obgyn of many years, Dr. Zuniga was highly recommended by my coworker. She has a wonderful bedside manner. She was genuinely listening to my concerns and she was thorough not only with the exam itself but with her recommendations and knowledge. I never felt rushed and she spent all the time that i needed in order to answer my questions. Im so very happy I found her and that I will continue to see her from this day on.

The care is wonderful, they are professional, Caring, attentive and listen to every concern....HOWEVER, and this is a BIG HOWEVER. They are never on time. Ive been going there for 5 years and I dont think Ive ever been seen on time. Ive never looked to go somewhere else because I feel comfortable there.....but every time I have an appointment is the same thing. If that were changed and time were managed better it would absolutely be the perfect practice.

I called two weeks ago to make an appointment and the first thing I asked was if they take my insurance, and they said yes. Today I missed a day of work, and drove 45 minutes to get to this place just for them to tell me that they didn’t take my insurance. That’s unfair, rude receptionists.

My experience was great. The staff was very welcoming and Dr. Graf listened to all of my concerns. I love when a doctor is willing to go above and beyond to address a patients concerns. I highly recommend the practice.

Contemporary Woman’s Care is the place I would recommend to any woman seeking OBGYN care. Every doctor and office staff go above and beyond to make you feel heard, safe and understood. They go out of their way to make sure you are well-taken care of in every situation. While the wait times may get long in the office, it’s because each nurse and doctor spend ample time with each patient and never rush anyone out the door. They also always squeeze you in the schedule for any type of emergency. Particularly, nurse Judy, the receptionist Trisha and Dr. Jen Graf are angels on Earth. Thanks to everyone at the West Orange office for taking such good care of your patients.

Contemporary Women’s Care in West Orange is the Best! Dr Wimmer is my all time favorite doctor…I have been her patient for 23 years. I actually look forward to seeing her and her staff!! Dr Wimmer epitomizes what I look for in a doctor. She is kind, caring, competent and very efficient and has many great people to back her in her practice! They really never miss a beat.

West Orange staff is extremely unprofessional and not caring towards patients. While I love my doctor, Im not happy with their staff in West Orange. The Kearny office staff is a lot nicer and caring for their patients. Please have some staff training where they treat patients better. Ive been a patient of 4 years and Im considering switching as well as steering people away from this office.

Everyone was so kind and friendly, from the moment I checked in, to being seen. They were very helpful and took the time to ask questions and explain everything. Any questions I had, they answered. I wish all offices had people working there like these women!

I will miss Judie (Judy) when she retires. The only time I enjoy bloodwork.Staff members are extremely friendly and the doctors take their time to answer any questions/concerns.

Dr Graf is a wonderful obgyn who helped me to deliver my two children 15 years ago. She goes out of her way to help her patients. The office staff are friendly.

I was not impressed with the service. In my delicate situation, I expected better bedside matter. I felt rushed, and was asked particular questions that I should have had time to answer. I’m only coming back for my follow-up, but will be searching AGAIN

The doctor and staff are great but the waiting time is excessive, my appointment was at 5 and I have to wait more than one hour in the waiting room and almost other 30 minutes in the office for the doctor to come to see me.

Josephine Uccello Cusumano —The “bad” reviews I just read are 100% ridiculous!!! Ok you have to wait a little while to be seen ,that’s because the doctors are thorough and care about each patient !! The staff is the best and so caring it’s unreal ! Doctor surmelli is my doctor and is the BEST !! I won’t let ANYONE talk bad about him ! All the other doctors there are AMAZING also ! I’ve been seeing him since I was 19 and I’m 37 now ! Judy is the best phlebotomist and the nurses and trish are awesome ! I consider them all my friends ! The receptionist are great too and sooo nice ! If I could give 100 stars I would ! All doctors and staff are amazing!! So if you have something bad to say about them call me personally 😊

Overall staff was very welcoming polite caring and kind, Dr Zuniga was very professional knowledgeable caring with great bedside manners, my teenage daughter felt very comfortable

I wanted an appointment ASAP due to a problem and Dr. Graf saw me the next day. No waiting and the entire staff at 776 Northfield Ave was pleasant and made me feel very comfortable.

The doctors I have met (Dr. Wimmer, Dr. Graf and Dr. Zuniga) are very friendly. The front desk staff at both offices (West Orange, NJ and Kearny, NJ) are not the most pleasant people to deal with nor professional. I have experienced issues with messages being relayed to the doctors for calls back.The time management of the office staff is also poorly handled. Im currently pregnant and have been going in for appointments bimonthly for routine check ups (i.e. weight, blood pressure, monitoring babys heartbeat) and appointments continuously run behind schedule 45 minutes, usually longer, for an appointment that takes under 15 minutes to get thru.

Dr.Wimmer and Dr. Zúñiga are incredible doctora. It’s nice go somewhere and receive treatment where you don’t just feel like you’re another number. They made mw feel so at ease and great. Being over 35 and with a high risk pregnancy knowing your doctors are on your side means everything. Thank you for being such wonderful doctors!!

The providers are excellent but the front desk staff are not very professional or pleasant. They are so quick to talk back instead of listen to what you have to say and help.

Money has more value than your health. They actually tell you that you wont be seen by the doctor if you dont have money for your bill. Nevermind, you are going for a health scare, that is irrelevant. And you better have that copay!The Doctors are good once you get pass that front desk. I hope they never find themselves in need.

The Doctors are great. Friendly and professional. HOWEVER, be prepared to wait and wait and then wait some more. I’ve been coming here for a little over 3 years and I thought that perhaps it was a coincidence that I had to wait so long. It’s not. As I type this I’ve been sitting in the waiting room for over 1 hr after my appointment time.

They made me feel very comfortable being that I was a new patient. I was very pleased with the overall cleanliness, and professional greeting.

Extremely long wait time, the doctor was cold and did not explain anything. Waited in the examination room for over 30 minutes waiting to be seen, the doctor saw me for 5 minutes then left in a hurry. I do not recommend going here especially for first time patients who are nervous.

Dr. Angela Wimmer at Contemporary Womens Care is GREAT. The staff is always pleasant and personable. I would highly recommend Dr. Wimmer to anyone looking for an OB/GYN. Shes the best!

The NP Eneida and her assistant were so kind. I get severe anxiety over getting my annual exam and Pap smear. Eneida explained everything very clearly to me and did everything very quickly. Overall, Eneida and her assistant made it a very positive experience.

Terrible phone connection for patients. I had an appointment this evening and was driving in the rain in the dark trying to find address on 776. I called the general phone number and was connected to the office and the person could not provide me good instructions and kept telling me I went “too far”. (I was not too far because I stopped at 772 which was next to the office.) I had to turn around and couldn’t see the sign well so I called again. This time I talked to the operator but she dropped my call (maybe by accident). I called the third time and the operator told me that the local office couldn’t be connected because all the phone line was busy. (It is hard to believe that with the modern technology we have nowadays, its local office could not be reached!!!)I finally found the office but I was very disappointed.

I have been trying to get my records from this office for over a month. I have emailed and called the same person I was told to in the office, named Nancy, with nothing in return. I am extremely disappointed in the the lack of professionalism and understanding and urgency for needing medical records. I hope I can retrieve them soon. 🤔

Recetionist seem to not care at all for the patients. Doctors are ok nothing fancy. If you can find another practice do it you might regret having them care for you and your baby.
