Planned Parenthood - Ann Arbor West Health Center

I have been going to this planned parenthood for a very long time and they are the absolute best at what they do! I even tried my women’s center at UM and had a terrible traumatic experience. I had to come back here to get the IUD fixed. They were so patient, quick and understanding. I absolutely trust them!

Violet made my visit SO beyond comfortable and easy . The way she let me get everything out without interrupting me, her active listening, and the way she was actually concerned about my care made my visit so pleasant . This is a judgement free zone . They make it easy to set up appointments. Quick to be seen. Thank you so much for making this uncomfortable situation a little easier for me . I would definitely recommend this place !

I went to this location to get birth control. I did not expect such a pleasant experience. I figured it would be like any other doctor office. I was extremely well informed from the staff what my options were as far as birth control, and I felt like when I had questions they were enthusiastically answering and giving me any information I was wondering about. I liked knowing that they cared about helping me find the best option for me. and let me know what some of the downsides are as well to certain methods.

Planned Parenthood will always be where I go. I like that I know they are ethical, unlike other places where you have to guess or not go. I just wish they also had locations for general doctor pcp care (like for sore throats, etc.), dentistry, physical therapy, hospitals, etc. I would like to only go to Planned Parenthood for all my health needs. Currently, I do not have a pcp because there is no way to know. I dont know if its possible, but it would be really awesome if they could expand.

Was able to get a same day appointment (shout out to Toni!!), and received some of the best health care i ever have. I only wish this could be my full time provider. 🥺🖤

I want to preface this by saying the staff and people working here are very friendly and helpful however I have been sitting in the waiting room for over 30 minutes now for a simple bc implant. When I asked how much longer it would be I was told that everyone was on lunch which is why things were moving slow. I think it is absolutely ridiculous to schedule appointments for patients when all but one or two doctors are in lunch. However the staff is wonderful and super friendly. I felt very comfortable and supported by the doctors and nurses. Besides the wait time I had a great experience here.

My experience with this planned parenthood has been mixed. They are very kind and nice here but they are almost always extremely late when ever I schedule appointments. Today I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment but my name was not called for over an hour.So just be warned that you should budget at least an hour and a half when you come for a visit here. Otherwise everything is great.

My experience with this location of Planned Parenthood was absolutely fantastic. Literally everyone that was working there was super kind, understanding, patient, and accommodaing (and very willing to help in any way they could). I had an appointment to get an IUD put in, and of course while the procedure itself is uncomfortable, I felt safe and very well-taken care of by the doctor who did the procedure, and by the people who helped me adjust to the uneasiness/discomfort I had recovering from the procedure. These people went above and beyond, and made sure I was safe and okay before I headed back home.

The practitioner I saw today was amazing, unfortunately I wish I could say the same for the medical assistant. Not only did she seem irritated when I asked about bringing my support person with me, she also did not listen to my wishes in regards to an exam, causing a ptsd event for me. Seeking healthcare for reproductive health is already a daunting task for most, and my experience today was not helpful in the slightest

This was my first time at a PP and I’ve never felt so welcomed by a doctor’s office. The staff were so friendly and warm and made me feel so comfortable right from the start. I recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for an affordable way to take care of themselves. Will definitely be going back for appointments in the future.

Absolutely wonderful location of Planned Parenthood. Not only was it easy to make an appointment, but extremely convenient being able to fill everything out online/virtual check in! It was easy to find location. Once there I was helped immediately. Super clean. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Signing in was a breeze. I arrived before my appointment about 30mins early and was seen right on time. I was comfortable. They were amazing. I just wish this location was closer so I could always go here! Seriously the absolute best experience.

Good morning. Michigan does not have full practice authority for nurses. That is the legal name for it. Nurses in Michigan do not have Independent practice rights. Meaning a doctor has to be present. Full practice authority is a provision that allows them to assess, diagnose, interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medications independently.” It says it’s to ‘alleviate the doctors schedule.’ Meaning the clinic is illegal because I called and asked.

Wow I went in today and got seen right away with my appointment! This was my first time going here didn’t have insurance or anything and everyone was just so helpful and nice I’ve never felt more comfortable! I got my results quick and they made sure I was okay answered every question me definitely RECOMMEND!

Wonderful experience. The staff was professional, kind, and made the experience more than anyone could ask for. Everyone took such good care of me, better than the last few doctors Ive had. Really cant say enough. Thank you for what youre doing and the level of service your team gave 2 years into the pandemic is top notch.

Yesterday I got my arm implant out and have never been at this location. The whole staff went above and beyond for me. They made me feel super comfortable, showered me in compliments and just overall were absolute angels. One lady held my hand and comforted me while my arm was getting sliced open. Another gave me juice and a bunch of snacks cause I was feeling nauseous. The doctor was very patient with me and told me I could take breaks in between the process if needed.I havent been to a PP since 2017 and was nervous due to past visits at different locations but I have to say this was my best experience yet! 10000/10

I would recommend this practice to literally anyone. The staff were great, friendly and made sure I was comfortable with everything. Plus its easy to make an appt and use insurance, both of which can be intimidating and complex at hospitals/other practices

I was nervous after reading comments about how lengthy the wait was, but I ended up having a wonderful experience. Upon arriving, I let the receptionist know that I was on a time crunch and she was able to estimate how long it would most likely take for my appointment. I was called back to a room within 15 minutes and dealt with an extremely nice medical assistant. The wait for the doctor was a little longer but not too terrible, and she was very nice and helpful. I was in and out in an hour tops and all of the staff I dealt with were great! I will be back if necessary :)

The staff here was so lovely. You can tell everyone truly enjoys their job. Big thanks to everyone for providing excellent care and creating a warm environment for patients!

One of my best Planned Parenthood experiences. Was in pretty quickly, out in an hour, and the most painless blood draw Ive ever had in my life. Staff is super awesome as well, I will definitely be coming back if the need arises.

The staff are very welcoming and friendly. They give honest, judgement-free answers to questions you may have about your health. I got an IUD inserted here, and they did everything possible to make my experience as comfortable as possible.

Planned Parenthood hands down, so helpful to women and their health! Wellness visits, condition specific, whatever the need, THEY HAVE YOUR BACK! I really credit the clinicians bedside manner, her empathetic edge, and down to earth approach. Who said Planned Parenthood was just abortions? They do so much more, and if only people would open their eyes to this.

As a huge advocate of Planned Parenthood, Im sorry to have to write this review. This is the second time I saw the same doctor, and both times, she was extremely condescending, pushy, and aggressive - both physically and emotionally. The first time I was willing to overlook (she suggested that I get tested for all STDs because she was under the impression that I was sleeping around despite telling her I was in a monogamous relationship simply because I have tattoos and drank too much), but this time was unforgivable. Not only did she tell me it was my fault that I was extremely sick (I suffered from hyperemesis during my pregnancy and was having complications that I wanted to ensure were not signs of infection after surgery), she also proceeded to humiliate me for not wanting her to perform a pelvic exam. After I very hesitantly agreed to allow her to look despite the fact that I had just undergone surgery and she had already said I didnt have an infection, she was extremely rough with her hands during the exam which caused significant discomfort for over an hour afterwards and made me fear that I would be leaving with an infection rather than treating a potential one. All of this, and I was the one who told the nurse that I didnt think the checkup was necessary since it didnt sound like an infection - I was only concerned due to severe bloating and diarrhea and was instructed to go in for a checkup just to be safe. Unless you want to see a doctor that guilts you into exams that make you feel unsafe and want an extremely judgmental doctor that makes you feel like anything that is wrong is your fault, I do not suggest visiting his location. The Ann Arbor Professional Drive location is far superior in its staff.

I don’t leave reviews, but the care at this facility was amazing so I had to say something. The team was so thoughtful and informative and they went out of the way to make me really comfortable for my implant insertion. Thanks guys you’re rockstars!

I have been at this office for 2 hours now, currently sitting in exam room 4 for over an hour. I appreciate that I was able to get a same-day appointment, but maybe don’t schedule those types of appointments if you can’t get to people in a timely manner.

The staff at this location are wonderful. While ultimately I needed to have my procedure done elsewhere due to my own difficult anatomy, they were professional and compassionate.

So glad I decided to go to Planned Parenthood! The staff were all super friendly, supportive, and they answered all of my questions. And my clincian was awesome! Thank you so much! :)

From the time I walk in the door everyone here is great thank to all you guys made me feel very comfortable if it wasnt for you all I would of walk out thank you all I wish all doctor office could be this great

Had pretty good experiences here. Even if the wait times have been a little bit long that doesnt really bother me. The people I saw were nice, informative and helpful

I know the staff are working really hard to get us all check out.... but waiting in the waiting room for an hour and a half... then sitting in the doctors office for a half hour to be seen! Im not very happy right now

I have always had a great experience at this location and my midwife, Lisa, was absolutely amazing!

AWFUL EXPERIENCE WILL NOT GO BACK. HAVE BEEN WAITING OVER AN HOUR TO SEE A DOCTOR. ALL I WANT IS TO RENEW MY BIRTH CONTROL.

On hold for over 20 minutes to set up an appointment. Ended up hanging up.

Worst place ive ever been i waited an hour and a half in a room and never got to see a doctor before i had to leave before i freaked out
