I have found that Dr. Sun is a kind and knowledgeable practitioner of acupuncture. I appreciated his detailed explanation of the needles and how he uses them in my first visit. His treatment of my restless, achy legs has been very helpful in alleviating the pain I had been experiencing there.

Dr. Sun is very knowledgeable at what he is doing. He has helped me with the severe migraines and my long time injury, when I basically could not walk for 4 months since my plantar fasciitis has popped up. It was like a magic for me when after one treatment I started walking again. I would recommend everyone who has some pain issues to try Dr. Suns acupuncture therapy!

Have been using acupuncture treatments for fifty years. Dr. Sun is by far the best that I can remember! Unlike most people practicing in the West, Dr. Sun is a traditionalist using methods that can only be found in China. He places the needles depth to insure maximum effectiveness. Most acupuncturists do not do this because it stimulates the points that might be painful; but without the depth to insure the gates are open fully to activate the Chi; whereas, most Westerners are not versed in the more powerful methods leading to energy gates being opened fully but instead open them only half way, and thereby less effective. What this means is that you are getting more bang for your dollar with Dr. Sun. Along with more powerful effective use of the treatment to impact your issues. Besides the methods, Dr. Sun is a very genuine human being who cares about his clients and their medical health. He is a kind man and takes time to explain the treatments and listen to his clients. I give him my highest recommendation.

I have experienced acupuncture with several local practitioners and Dr. Sun has provided the most complete introduction before treatment of any of them. His traditional chinese approach is thorough and is addressing not just my chronic back pain but also my fatigue and joint inflammation. I am a running enthusiast. Last year, when I was preparing for a running competition, I suffered a proximal hamstring tendon injury in my left leg. An MRI in June 2023 diagnosed mild left hamstring tendonitis. Despite nearly a year of rest and physical therapy, there was still no significant improvement. During a time of extreme frustration, a friend introduced me to Dr. Sun. With a hopeful attitude, I contacted Dr. Sun for acupuncture treatment.After the first session, I noticed a significant improvement. I have never done acupuncture before this, but have been here twice in the past month.The first visit, Dr. Sun took the time to show me the needles that would be used, confirmed they were one time use, fully sanitized, and showed how small they were. We also went over my medical history and what was top of mind/most concerning for me. He took my experiences seriously and identified the right places to work based on my input.My first session was amazing! I have been dealing with chronic muscle tension, headaches, gastro issues, and more, and the session felt like sunshine under my skin. I have visited ReQi Suns Acupuncture clinic (Ann Arbor, Michigan) today with persistent back/shoulder pain for over three weeks. I have been suffering from plantar fasciitis in my left foot for the past six months and have tried physical therapy for 4 months. Unfortunately, the pain has not improved much. I am glad that I found Dr. Sun, he has been wonderful treating me for multiple issue. I gained a lot of sensation on my left side after starting session with Dr. Sun. Dr. Sun is the real deal. Its so wonderful to have a skilled acupuncture practitioner in Ann Arbor. Im grateful too that hes very responsive and accomodating when a sudden need arises due to an injury. In my case, I periodically pull my back and one acupuncture treatment generally is all it takes. It doesnt work instantaneously, but its better within a day or two rather than up to 2 weeks that it would last if I do nothing but take ibu profen.

I sprained my ankle one night and could hardly walk the morning after. I have an important event to attend the day after, and as someone who loves to run and got injured before, I knew western medicine wouldnt be able to do much. So I contacted Dr. Sun and he squeezed me in for a noon appointment. He did acupuncture (not on my injured foot though -- very magic!) and alternated it with massaging my injured foot. He also taught me some acupressure points on my hands where I can press at home. After the session, I was completely fine in the evening and less than one week later, I had a jogging of 2.2 miles (though he didnt encourage that and still asked me take it slow). Dr. Sun is so awesome.

I got the treatment for my frozen shoulder that was bothering me over 6 months. I do not expect it completely gone within a couple of sessions but after 3 treatment the pain was reduced from 10 to around 5 and the range of motion is greatly improved. The first time I saw Dr. Sun was a few days after I was discharged from the University of Michigan Hospital, where I had stayed for 8 days for treatment of my dizziness, nausea, vomiting, hypertension, weakness, numbness and low temperature on my right foot and leg. I had suffered from these symptoms for the prior 2 months and even the doctors didn’t know what the cause was. The reasons could be food poisoning, the accumulated toxicities caused by years of treatment with chemo, radiation, targeted drug, the swelling of my brain tumor, or the recurrence of my cancer. I have been diagnosed with Stage-IV lung cancer for almost 5 years. Nobody really knew what happened to me, but nothing would be surprising with my disease. Fortunately, the palliative care physicians agreed and recommended acupuncture as an alternative treatment for me and this was why I went to Dr. Sun.I felt very good after my first acupuncture treatment. Dr Sun is amazing extremely knowledgeable caring and professional. I have been dealing with acute Psoriasis for over 2 years on my legs, thighs, back, elbows and knees. Dermatologists prescribed several Steroid ointments and 6 months of Phototherapy including very expensive medications with no improvement . In my first visit with Dr Sun he explained to me the root cause of Psoriasis is Autoimmune disorder and stress flares the disease.Dr Sun started the Acupuncture treatment in a relaxing environment by gently placing the needles in the right locations pain free. After 3 months of treatment once a week the Psoriasis on my entire body was gone. Dr Sun also treated me for sleep disorder along with the Psoriasis treatment. I am able to sleep much better without any sleep aid . I would highly recommend Dr Sun to any one suffering with Psoriasis or any complex health issues .

I was diagnosed with frozen shoulder and have been experiencing extreme pain in my left shoulder for months!..I was unable to lift my arm without tears of pain. I went to Dr. Sun’s clinic to try his acupuncture therapy. He thoroughly examed my back and explained his assessment very patiently. He also explained the locations prior to applying these needles on my back, legs and ankles. He also use the cupping therapy to smooth the tension on my lower back.
