Dr. Lowman changed my quality of life for the better and did it with genuine kindness. My surgeries and experiences along the way couldnt have been any better. Also, every single person I have interacted with at this practice was great. Not sure why anyone could find any negativity going to this office unless they brought it in themselves :-)

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Lowman and her team. I’ve been in debilitating pain for almost 7 years (severe cramps, heavy bleeding, etc) and came to see Dr. Lowman after multiple failed attempts to get my life back. When I had my consult with Dr. Lowman I immediately knew I needed to move forward with a hysterectomy and that she was the one who I wanted to perform it.She had the best bedside manner of any doctor I’ve ever seen. And not only did my total vaginal procedure go flawlessly, the results have changed my life. My downtime was less than a week and I was able to recover with zero pain medications.I’ll never be able to thank Dr. Lowman enough for giving me my life back. My only regret is not finding her sooner.

When I tell you Dr Lowman and her team have been my saving grace, that’s an understatement. Not only did I receive life changing and amazing care, but the support was phenomenal! This is family now! Thank you all so much for all you’ve done for me as well as my sister! There is NOTHING negative to say about Dr Lowman and her staff and it actually be truthful! This lady is saving lives!

I had the most amazing experience with Dr Lowman. To start, her office is warm and gives an at home feel instead of the usual cold and sterile surroundings. The office staff felt like family where I never had the feeling being “just a number”. Veronica at the front desk is very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. She took care of everything so that I had one less thing to be concerned about. Robin saw my intense fear due to my upcoming surgery and after inquiring whether it was ok, actually held my hand and prayed with me. On top of my physical issues, I was also experiencing personal issues and was beginning to feel overwhelmed. Dr Lowman listened and treated me as a whole person—not just an ailment. She has blessed hands, a blessed staff, and has proven to be a blessing to me and my family. She treated ME—Not just my issue and I am forever grateful to the entire staff!

I had been frustrated for years about my medical condition. The other physicians I saw did not take my ailment seriously and kept recommending drastic surgical options. Dr Lowman has the most gentle bedside manner and a wealth of experience, she instead offered minimally invasive options. She even came out of her way to the hospital within my insurances network to perform my surgery. After 26 years of suffering, my pain is finally under control. I can not recommend her more.

Dr.Joye Lowman is very unprofessional and inconsiderate lacking bed side manor!! I was scheduled for surgery today at 3pm at Piedmont Hospital . I arrived at 1pm as they instructed and waited for 5 hrs just to be told I would be rescheduled and refunded my $500 deposit that her surgical coordinator Veronica W. coerced me to pay a month prior to surgery. After the nurse Tenney ripped the IV from my wrist. I proceeded to cry from lack of food. The pacu charge nurse Misty Cox was very dismissive and cold hearted and proceeded to tell me that at least I got fluids from the IV. This was the worst experience of my life and I am switching practices to get my procedure done. As well as I will never attend Piedmont Hospital AGAIN! I wouldn’t let Dr. Joye Lowman care for my pet! She’s horrible!

I do not know where to begin. I had the best experience with Dr. Lowman. She performed a vaginal hysterectomy September 13, 2023. This was the best choice for me. By the next day there was no pain. I had a large uterus removed vaginally. There were no surgical scars or holes in my abdomen. I was worried about recovery pain, that didnt transpire. I was able to be up and about the next day. I highly recommend Dr. Lowman for your urogyn surgical needs.

I was referred to Dr. Lowman through two physician friends after an appt w/ my 79 y/o mother to her previous GYN that went horribly wrong. The visit involved Mom’s pessary & was so traumatic for her that I could not consider ever taking her there again, but w/ God’s grace & help from Dr. Chris Turner & Dr. Heather Geddings, we were blessed to end up in the care of Dr. Lowman at Buckhead Urogynecology.If you are searching for the gold standard of practices w/ an extremely knowledgeable yet immensely compassionate doctor who takes her job providing CARE (versus just providing a service) to her patients very seriously, then you will find your search is over once you meet w/ Dr. Lowman!From the moment we arrived, the entire visit was amazing. Traci at the front desk was patient, caring, & gave such a great first impression. And Dr. Lowman? She is my new hero. She took so much time w/ Mom & was so gentle, compassionate, & thorough. I have taken her to countless visits w/ doctors, radiology techs, & nurses who convey an attitude of “been doing this a long time, you don’t have to tell me anything about her, elderly patients are all the same & we know what we’re doing.”Dr. Lowman does the exact opposite. She cares for the individual patient & the patient’s whole situation, vs. just one aspect. She not only took her time w/ Mom, but she listened - & heard - every single thing I shared, from explaining Mom’s balance issues to the various symptoms & duration (which Mom can no longer remember), to the confusion she experiences (even though she’ll smile, nod, & say “yes, I understand”) due to cognitive decline.Advocating on my mother’s behalf is a privilege I consider to be one of the most important of my life, since she can no longer advocate for herself. Dr. Lowman has eased so many hurdles, as from the beginning it has been evident that she, also, becomes her patient’s advocate, & a true partner in their well-being.

Dr. Lowman behaved so unprofessionally during my visit it was unbelievable. First the woman at the window whose name plate was right outside the window and I addressed her by that name and she said that that was not her name then I heard the doctor call her by that name and she answered to it that was unbelievably unprofessional and uncalled for second Dr lohman was sitting right behind the woman and talked loudly over to the woman double checking her work I have paid my co-payment but I didnt have my insurance card on me they had already verified that I had active insurance and knew what my co-payment was I paid it and I had gone to the back to be triaged Dr lowman involved herself and called me all the way from the back and said go back all the way to the front youre going to have to come back another day if you dont have your insurance card thats a unheard of practice if theyre able to verify your insurance and get your license and get your co-payment then you should be set because you can call to get other information I gave them the phone number she was so rude I should have walked out then her exam rooms have no sinks in them she came in the room did not wash her hands she put on gloves then she had these really cheap trash cans that you see in lunch rooms are outside areas that have the two swinging doors instead of a foot pedal which is unsanitary she used her hand to push through the doors to drop the gloves in she did not wash her hands leaving out she did not wash her hands coming in very unprofessional she gave me medicine that made me was not helpful.

I went to 3 different urologist before Dr. Lowman and Dr. Lowman is the only doctor that seem to care. She was very professional and spent time to discuss the different options that could help my overactive bladder and recommended a midurethral sling for stress urinary incontinence. She performed this yesterday 12/20/21 and after 24 hours, I do not have to wear a pad for the first time in years. I feel great and so thankful for her and her staff. My experience from the office visit to outpatient to home has been wonderful. I am an active 72 yr old and I feel Dr Lowman has given me a gift of quality of life that I did not believe possible. If anyone is looking for an amazing urogynecologny practice, please do yourself a favor and make an appointment today with Dr. Lowman. You will not regret it!! My only regret is that I didn’t find her sooner!!

Dr. Lowman is an excellent and thorough surgeon. She is very skilled and has a superb bedside manner. I had a hysterectomy and bladder sling and post-op Day 1, I was recovering well! 3 weeks later, I feel great - thankful and relieved!

Dr. Lowman was awesome! She made me very comfortable talking about my medical condition. She is very nice and professional. Her staff is nice as well. I would definitely recommend her for surgery

I had a wonderful first time visit, and Dr. Lowman’s bedside manners was superb!!

I’ve been to 5 different urologists before finding Dr Lowman. I had several medical procedures that didn’t help my symptoms and was even told that it was “in my head” before I found her. Her bedside manner is IMPECCABLE. She validated concerns of mine that other Urologists dismissed. I am so happy I found her, and looking forward to working with her to get my IC under control FINALLY. And having a kind doctor is a plus. I give her 10 stars!

Dr. Lowman is a phenomenal and brilliant surgeon who genuinely cares about her patients, women and healthcare as a whole. She has years of experience, and has been educated and trained at some of the top schools in the nation. I‘ve entrusted her with my health for more than a decade.

Struggled for over five years with what my previous physician described as overactive bladder. I was in constant pain and had to make major life changes to accommodate my issues...frequent urination, pain and burning. I was on antibiotics every other month for what I thought was chronic UTIs. Met Dr. Lowman and she listened for over a hour to hear me describe every treatment Id had previously. She almost immediately knew I had symptoms of interstitial cystitis, or IC, and started me on medication specially for IC. I noticed improvement after a few weeks. After what has been 12 weeks now, I rarely experience a flare and can usually narrow it down to something Ive had to drink or eat. Please dont give up. Keep advocating for your health until you can find a specialist like Dr. Lowman that will listen and make a treatment plan just for you.There is hope for IC sufferers.

I had a great experience at Buckhead Urogynecology! Dr. Lowan has an awesome bedside manner. She took ample time to explain my medical condition and prescribe a course of treatment that resolved my issues.

Dr. Lowman and her team are amazing. My issues are always addressed, they are always kind and professional, and always follow up and follow through. I appreciate the consistency and professionalism.

EDIT…..I had tested negative for Covid. Three times. I had no cough. I had tests from hospital stating a really bad UTI. The antibiotics were out of stock. You would not listen, obviously!!!!I would give zero stars if I could. I had an appointment with them the day after I had to go to emergency room. I had a reoccurring UTI and had a fever due to prolonged infection. They had all tests from the hospital. It was extensive testing. I also had a negative Covid test.The doctor refused to see me due to my fever. I was told that I did not have a UTI even though blood work and urine tests from previous day said otherwise.Turns out I had horrible UTI and my bladder was dropping. I was not seen. I was not heard. I was not cured.Then, I asked for a note for my employer. They didn’t even get the date correct. Horrible and embarrassing.

Wander full experience, staff, nurse and doctor are the best, doctor explained everything, She is professional and knowledgeable. Office environment made fell like home.

Little wait time. caring and listening staff. wonderful medical care from Dr Lowman. I loved my experience with this office.

Would you visit a provider that would share your specific health and case notes on Google, simply because you shared your poor experience?I had an awful experience here after it was shared with me as being one of the “best in the state.” The provider shamed me for my age, barely administered an exam, and then provided a completely incorrect diagnosis, recommending surgery as my only option.I would not recommend this practice to anyone that wants compassionate care and knowledgeable answers to their health problems. In fact, I wouldn’t recommend this practice to anyone.
