Magic City Physical Therapy

Everyone there is awesome and welcoming. Jennifer took the time to explain in more detail some of the issues I’ve been having. She is exceptionally easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable talking about my chief complaints. In one session I have learned 360 breathing has noticeable effects when you do it correctly, I just never realized I was doing it wrong. I look forward to working with her to discover the root cause and work toward a full recovery! After one visit, I would highly recommend Magic City PT.

Everybody I’ve interacted with here has been extremely sweet and caring. I have to bring both of my kids under 2 and it gets pretty chaotic… luckily Erica is really creative and finds ways to help my kids participate in what we’re doing! They also do a really good job of seeing you as an individual and not just another patient to be seen. I’m so glad I decided to go here!!

Samone, an Occupational Therapist, at Magic City PT is knowledgeable, professional yet kind and gentle when treating the client. I have seen numerous therapists over the years and she is by far the most caring and eager to help me improve. I am fighting Secondary Lymphedema in my arm, due to cancer treatment. I have been to several therapy offices over the years, for myself and my children. . This is definitely one of the best. Very personable and concerned. Spends plenty of one on one time. They do not put an ice back on you and walk away, as is common practice in a lot of offices. Highly recommend.

SaMone is a wonderful lymphedema specialist. She is a calming influence during a stressful time in my life. She is personable and utilizes a holistic approach with her patients. Highly recommend her to anyone with lymphedema needs, especially those undergoing breast cancer masectomy surgery and/or radiation treatment. She is truly been a wonderful OT and lymphedema therapist.

The ladies at Magic City Physical Therapy are wonderful! They have helped me tremendously during my pregnancy and postpartum. If you are having issues with your pelvis go see them.

I requested an appointment via the website. Jessica called me very quickly to get me scheduled. She sent me all the necessary paperwork and offered to help any way she could!Once I arrived for my appointment, I was met with kindness and only waited a few minutes for the PT.Jennifer was my PT and she was wonderful as well. She was professional and kind and didnt mind when I asked questions. Id highly recommend Magic City PT!

I highly recommend Magic City PT. Jennifer has been so patient with me while I have been working through severe pain. She has gotten me to a better way of living. She respects my goals in, not only Physical Therapy, but also minimalistic approaches to healing without medicine. She is hands down the best. I honestly was at a loss with no hope of healing until i started PT with her. The staff and office are super supportive in accommodating your time. Jennifer was very knowledgeable and familiar with my condition. She communicated in a very friendly direct manner and answered all my questions in a way that was easy for me to understand. She made it easy for me to purchase the best compression equipment to use in my treatment. The facility was always very clean and looked new. Everyone at Magic City physical therapy treated me a friendly professional manner I recommend them highly and would go back if the need arose.

Jessica at the front desk is so sweet and helpful I was nervous going in to ask what kind of help I could get it seems like no one understands my body but I immediately felt welcome. Jennifer was the PT she was professional, knowledgeable, and more than willing to help and talk me through why she did everything she did. I have no doubt they are going to see my injury/limitations through to the point I feel 100% again. I have my next few appointments already scheduled! 20/10 recommend :)

I love Erica! After two c-sections it was important to me to get the recovery needed to be a productive human and mom. The techniques used were helpful and supported all aspects of my well being and recovery. It was so nice to be cared for as an individual. It’s such a great place. So happy I made the decision to go.

Not to be dramatic- but Magic City PT changed my life. I have struggled with digestion issues since high school and was able to almost completely fix them! I also had some pain and other struggles with working out, and Jennifer was so great with showing me correct form and breathing so I can feel my best. I am finally working out pain free and it feels so great! I cannot advocate for pelvic floor PT enough, especially with this group! I saw Erica and Jennifer and loved them both so much. Jennifer is an absolutely amazing physical therapist. She truly cares about you - and she truly cares about women’s health. after two pregnancies back to back, my pelvic floor wasn’t great. I was referred to her by my doctor and we went through a plan that helped me feel so much more comfortable on a day to day basis (less back pain, and no peeing my pants when I sneeze anymore!!)

Dr. Spencer is extremely knowledgeable and listened to every concern I had. She helped me recover from knee surgery and I couldn’t more thankful for her care. My therapy journey at Magic City was customized to my needs. Dr. Spencer understands that therapy is not “one size fits all”, but a holistic way of healing. I went in for physical therapy for my knee, but also received care for my back and hip along the way

I have been fortunate enough to see Jennifer Spencer at Magic City Physical Therapy for my lower back and ankle rehabs. She is professional, kind, and thorough and provided me with all the instruction I needed to continue my therapy at home. She is also accommodating with her hours and her office is conveniently located. I was especially pleased with her private treatment rooms as I never felt comfortable having treatment in a group setting with lots of eyes on me. If you want a caring, experienced physical therapist, you wont go wrong with Jennifer Spencer at Magic City Physical Therapy!

After trying multiple therapy clinics to address my issues, the results I have gotten at Magic City Physical Therapy are excellent. We are fortunate to have such a high caliber clinic in Birmingham.

I wish I’d have come sooner! Just one session into it I noticed a difference with my pelvic posture, my feet/toes and breathing. I’ve learned so, so much! It’s a great balance between internal/external therapy; both very important. Jennifer is fantastic to work with, she makes it a comfortable and relaxed process. I trusted her immediately, she really cares about the patients’ progress. She’s so patient and kind. Their business is a clean, resourceful environment. I’m grateful to have found them and that they support women (and men) with pelvic health. I love that it’s their specialty!

Magic City Physical Therapy is nothing short of AMAZING! Jennifer has helped so much with my post partum recovery. She explains everything thoroughly, is very knowledgeable, and has a great environment. I truly enjoyed my recovery period and have returned to running/lifting without pelvic floor pain/issues and couldnt have done that without her expertise.

Jennifer is an amazing Physical Therapist. She has treated myself, my husband , and most recently my mother with Alzheimers. Our therapy has ranged from shoulder surgeries-back pain-total knee replacement. She provides each patient thorough and compassionate care. When my mother needed rehab I immediately looked for her because we all want the best for our loved ones.

I have seen Erica twice now. She is excellent. Super professional, extremely knowledgable, and very compassionate. She really listened and was able to “connect the pieces of the puzzle” to figure out what was going on. I could not recommend her any higher. 😊

I have suffered with lymphedema for many many years and never thought I could be helped. Boy, was I wrong. Jennifer worked with me but also teaching me what to do for my swelling. I was referred by my nurse practitioner to try physical therapy because I was having worsening symptoms of stress urinary incontinence. I really wanted to avoid medication and surgery. Life has been busy, but I was now wanting to put the work in to to make the changes. After several appointments, I have had drastic improvement in symptoms to the point of leak free days. Jennifer was able to instruct me on how to exercise my pelvic floor. She gave me homework to do between appointments. She gave lifestyle tips that would help to make improvements in my pelvic floor. I came in initially feeling like I had minimal strength left in my pelvic floor to really being able feel those muscles engage. I’m more conscious to use my pelvic floor muscles to prevent leakage. I highly recommend Jennifer and her expertise. I am thrilled with the results and am willing to continue the work to improve my pelvic health.

I was absolutely blown away with how much compassion and knowledge I received while working with Dr. Jennifer. She made a plan that was specific to my needs and helped me return back to a lifestyle I wanted to get back to. She is truly an expert in her field and I couldn’t recommend her more.

When my doctor told me that I needed treatment for lymphedema, I didnt know what it was.  I knew that I had had swollen legs and feet for years and that I now had blisters on my legs.  Jennifer Spencer was recommended to me for lymphedema therapy, a different kind of physical therapy. She not only treated the lymphedema in my legs, but she treated my whole body. She has shared strategies and exercises to help decrease urinary incontinence, another one of my problems.  The exercises made a difference and she combined them with posture and core strengthening.  The therapy has helped me to improve my walking which was one of my main goals. I am much more mobile now. Therapy with Jennifer has made such a difference.

Jennifer is an incredible PT! She listens and works hard to find the right treatment for you. She worked with me through some running injuries, and I was able to complete my half marathon! I would highly recommend her to anyone needing any type of physical therapy- she has so much to offer her patients.
