OBGYN of Indiana - Carmel

I really enjoyed the first time I came here. The last time was not the same. I waited an hour to be seen and was told they forgot to check me in/the system wasnt working. I was finally seen about 50 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I then continued to wait and ended up leaving 2 hours later because I had work. Was late to work. Really was expecting better and will probably be looking for a new care team in the future. Never had an issue with my doctor, but the whole experience could have been better.

I wish I could differentiate my ratings on the actual providers here, from the financial side of things. The providers get 5 stars. They are awesome. Especially Dr. Neff and Dr. Sonn! Absolutely incredible doctors. The front desk staff is so friendly and all the nurses are also wonderful. The ultrasound techs are so compassionate, informative, and knowledgeable. And their phlebotomist is the best I’ve ever worked with! I had a great experience here during my first pregnancy for all these reasons.However, all this went out the window for my second pregnancy, because of the incredibly sketchy financial dealings that go on here. They are NOT transparent with their billing and will code you for things you can’t even imagine, without warning or an explanation of what they are doing prior. Additionally, they had been triple billing me for multiple of my OB appointments this entire pregnancy until I switched practices finally a little over half way through, because I discussed and was tested for bacterial infections which are very common in pregnancy and which, left untreated, can be detrimental to your unborn child’s health. Each appointment this was discussed, I was charged a standard OB appointment, quite a bit for the swab test itself, AND a “routine office visit”. This wasn’t discovered until I was out of the practice for several months thinking I had paid all my bills (which were MANY), only to receive a massive bill in the mail for all my OB visits I unknowingly hadn’t been charged for yet. The best part was, they didn’t submit this to insurance- they sent it right to me MULTIPLE times before I finally came to the office in person and asked that this be submitted to insurance the way it should be. Even the workers were appalled by the billing situation. I’ve never had so many surprise bills at one practice, nor have I ever had a practice so blatantly bypass my insurance the way this one has.There are much better practices out there for your women’s health and OB needs, that are honest with their financial dealings and transparent with their billing. This practice is unfortunately not one of these places, and it’s a shame, because it’s got a lot of good going for it and I really used to love it. However, I’ve lost all trust in this practice based on this year’s events with them. I don’t even think it’s an issue with THIS PRACTICE, but the larger organization it’s a part of with Axia Women’s Health. Either way, I would not recommend this place at all if you don’t want to feel financially taken advantage of around every corner.

What a great experience! Taylor Schub is so personable, pleasant and knowledgeable. Appointment started right on time and she took all the time needed for me. Even though there are more than a few years between our ages, I would highly recommend her for an easy and productive “girl to girl” conversation. Thanks Taylor!

This was my first pregnancy, and I am so thankful to have had Dr. Mecker caring for me. She was wonderful in clinic and so supportive during my delivery. She stayed with me the entire time I was pushing and was an encouraging and calming presence. At clinic visits, I felt listened to and an active participant in decision-making. Dr. Mecker is a kind and wonderful soul and I highly recommend her!

I cant say enough good things about Dr. Robrock. From the moment I walked into the office, I felt at ease. Dr. Brock is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cares about their patients well-being. They take the time to listen to concerns, thoroughly explain everything, and never make you feel rushed. The level of professionalism combined with a warm, compassionate approach makes Dr. Robrock stand out.I feel fortunate to have such a wonderful doctor and highly recommend them to anyone seeking top-notch medical care.

Dr Roblock is Amazing!!! She was running behind today and yet still took the time to attend to my personal needs and ensure we got everything taken care of. This is the reason I remain with the team on the North side and drive from the South Side. She knows my case and history and is always wonderful! Thank you, Dr. Roblock!

I have been a patient of Axia Womens Health for nearly 15 years, and I have received outstanding, compassionate care from both Dr. Michelle Neff and the entire staff. The practice administrative staff is both efficient and extremely courteous and very easy to work with - Ive not experienced the same in other medical practices. All of the supporting medical staff has also been compassionate, friendly and caring including the nurses, medical assistants, ultrasound technicians, phlebotomists, and the nurse practitioner. The patient experience SHINES in this practice - I am so grateful for the care Ive received in the past and continue to receive today.FIVE STARS.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Michelle Neff here for 9.5 years, and Id recommend this practice to everyone. From birth control through two miscarriages and now 2 healthy deliveries and one baby on the way, these providers have been consistently so caring, knowledgeable, and wonderful, I love trusting them with my care!

I appreciate Hannah Thornton’s time and attention to all my concerns and her diligence to see I’m up to date on all my medical care. She was very knowledgeable and personable, offering resources and information for me to better my concerns. .

Hannah Thornton was absolutely amazing. She did not make me feel rushed, listened intently to my concerns, answered all of my questions with kindness and easy to understand explanations. I would highly recommend her.

No one looks forward to these types of appointments. I will say that this was a wonderful experience. The girls at the front desk were awesome, the medical assistant was very kind and through and my provider, Dr. Mecker was the BEST. She has a very comforting bedside manner. She listened to my concerns and talked with me about my health. I cant say enough good things about this practice!

Horrible. I had been going here for several years and my annual visits were fine but always rushed. At my recent annual, I complained about pain. Provider brushed it off with no real answer for me. A few weeks later, the pain got much worse. I called twice requesting an ultrasound. First time I left a message. Second time I spoke with someone who said my provider would call me back within a day. Well it’s been 2 weeks now and provider has never called me back. Will never be coming back here. I’m truly disgusted that a provider would ignore their patient’s pain.

Ive been going to Dr. Neff for over 15 years - shes wonderful! Shes very down to earth, kind, gentle, & knows her specialty! I trust her completely with my OB/GYN health care & would highly recommend her.

Ive only had excellent experiences with all the staff here. If your looking for an amazing obgyn then Dr. Neff is your gal. Shes very personable, gives great advice and truly listens to your concerns. I have nothing but great things to say about this place.

I needed a uterine biopsy due to lots of issues that had been going on 2 years +. I would love to just have a hysterectomy but was told that is extreme in a condescending tone, even though I have dealt with years of expensive, invasive, and very uncomfortable tests to assess the same issues that dont improve. I had my husband with me so he could see how women are just dismissed and gaslit to believe they should just deal with pain and issues and he, too, was shocked at what women experience. I was then told we can just do a biopsy right now without any mention of pain management and when I explained I had heard from many women that unmedicated biopsies are barbaric and excruciating for most, I was told youve had 2 babies (with epidurals by the way). I demanded to have some sort of anesthesia and then was told that will cost you a lot more. I didnt care. The procedure was great (with anesthesia )and the care during that by the nurses was phenomenal. But during that initial visit to discuss a treatment plan (I was only there for about 15 min talking with the doc maybe) I felt talked over, dismissed and my problems minimized (that doc is no longer there.) Now the CDC is just announced new pain management and pain education recommendation for women at the OBGYN for these type of procedures. I normally do not leave poor reviews, however, I think its crucial that women, working for women, sympathize and offer women pain management without them having to ask or at the very least, better prep them for what they are about to endure. You are offered numbing and nitrous at the dentist, but not for actually cutting a piece of your uterus out? Women, just because you CAN tolerate intense pain, doesnt mean you SHOULD . Its time for MDs to do better for their patients and Im so glad the CDC has now recommended this. I do want to reiterate that the front office people were very kind as well as the surgery center nurses across the street. I hope your practice follows the new CDC recommendations and that you stop expecting women to just deal with it.

Dr. Robrock was was my main dr, however I saw everyone. Dr Sonn delivered me and my son. It is because of her quick thinking during my labor that we are both still here today. Could not be more thankful for all of the staff here, and as a former employee… I can honestly say they are truly caring for all of their patients.

All who work here are professionals. They are active listeners with suggestions and solutions, if needed, willing to walk with you every step of the way. They are respectful to you as an individual. Thank you for your love and patience.

I can’t say enough good things about this practice and the providers. I have had appointments with almost every provider throughout my pregnancy, and I can honestly say they all are kind, patient, thorough, and have their patients’ best interest at heart. Dr. Mecker is the provider I have elected as my own due to her compassion, care, patience, and clinical knowledge. She is a phenomenal listener and I never feel like just a number. I feel 100% confident being in her care.

Friendly, professional, and helpful staff - every interaction has been fabulous. They answer all my questions and guide me through each process if I’m nervous. The phlebotomist is amazing, too! I’d recommend this location to anyone who asks :)

Dr. Robrock and staff are all very professional and competent. Can’t say enough good things about Dr. Robrock. She’s thorough and has great bedside manners that put her patients at ease.

I have been a patient with this practice for almost 8 years and delivered 2 (soon to be 3) babies with them. All of the doctors Ive interacted with have been wonderful, and I would definitely recommend them to friends, family, or anyone searching for a new OB or GYN.

I’m coming at a very traumatizing situation with the VA of Indianapolis. I’ve moved on to Dr Del and she is amazing. Feel comfortable, safe, seen and heard. It’s a big change from the Va and I’m here for it.

The Nurse Practitioner that I saw was very knowledgeable and took time to listen to me. Though the practice is very busy, she didnt rush the appointment.

I saw Dr. Sonn and was early due to another appt in the building. They were able to fit me in early despite a busy day. Great experience!

Dr. Robrock was absolutely wonderful!! She asked me if I had any questions about anything that I may have had any concerns about, explained in detail. Very detailed and knowledgeable. Glad to have chose her for my provider!!!

Everyone from doctors, nurses, front desk staff here is so kind and helpful. Of course Ob-gyn appts can have awkward/uncomfortable parts but everyone really wants you to be as comfortable and feel as safe as possible. Best doctor’s experience I’ve had in years. Excellent follow up on issues as well.

Originally started out with an MD but switched to a WHNP after a less-than-stellar experience with the MD. Thought things were okay, but the nail in the coffin came after I asked for information about a tubal ligation. I explained that I was considering the procedure and would like information about it. I was informed that I needed to set up a sterilization consultation—okay, no problem.The problem came from being informed that my husband HAD to attend. *I* wanted information about a procedure regarding *my* body. When I called back after the initial shock wore off and asked why I wasn’t allowed to simply access info. about a procedure I was considering, the front desk woman scoffed said “it’s just so everyone gets all of the information”. Patients have a right to information for procedures they are contemplating without 1950s-esque roadblocks. It’s incredibly infantilizing. My husband was furious, I found it concerning, and we both agreed it was best to switch to a practice that respects autonomy. If you’re married, apparently you can’t access this info. without your spouse (at least as of 2022). If you’re an unmarried woman… I have no idea what the barriers to access may be.

Hannah Thornton is simply the best. Attentive knowledgeable and understanding. Her staff were all very nice.

Wonderful medical practice, great doctors and great office staff. Everybody is nice and friendly, they get you in in a timely manner, and they make sure all your questions are answered. I’ve never had one bad experience since I’ve been going to this medical practice. I highly recommend.

Dr. Sonn went above and beyond in her care. She listened, was patient and talked through each step for my daughter. I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor. I rarely take the time to leave reviews, but I was blown away by her kindness. Highly recommend!

Dr. Cottongim is incredible! Very down to Earth and feels like I’m talking to one of my friends vs. a doctor. I always feel very heard and taken seriously with the doctors and I can tell they genuinely care about their patients here. I recommend then to everyone I know!

This practices front office staff is neither friendly nor understanding. I understand and appreciate why there is a 15 minute grace policy for appointments; I am not intimating that my doctors time is unimportant. However, when I checked in for my appointment at 8:45am for an 8:30am appointment (after being stuck in construction traffic and sprinting into the office from my car), I was flatly refused access to my doctor because I hadnt checked in at 8:44am. As I stood there frustrated and crying, the only explanation I was given was that they were very strict with their 15 minute policy. I asked if it would have made a difference if I had called ahead to provide warning of my tardiness; I was coldly told it wouldnt have mattered because they dont make any exceptions with their policy. The next appointment I could get to see my doctor was 2+ months away. I now plan on canceling that appointment and finding a new practice as I dont wish to spend my money or time at a practice that treats their patients with such insensitivity.

Dr. Hoagland is the BEST THERE IS! I went there today to get my IUD inserted and I received such kind and gentle care from not just Dr. Hoagland, but also her staff that helped her. It was quick (under 3 minutes), barley any pain & I felt comfortable and taken care of. I’d recommend Dr. Hoagland if you have anxiety about these types of procedures.

The staff is very friendly and caring and Dr.Robrock is wonderful.

Excellent service all the way around. Employees were professional, informative and kind. Taking to my NP was like talking to a friend, she was wonderful! Blood draw was a breeze. It was a very positive experience! I highly recommend this place.

Hello I am a certified registered Medical assistant-team lead. I went into Axia To Job shadow. The job shadowing was going great. I thought I work place is supposed to friendly no judgment place at all. I a have skin condition that causes Spots on the neck and chin. I was sitting close to the young lady watching the laptop where she was showings me every thing about their Emr System. I saw her staring at my face. I went in a exam room to change the table paper to help her clean the room. As I was coming out they did not see me watching them talk about me. She noticed I saw her. He whole attitude changed. So she rushed me off to leave. Okay your good to go l with a thumbs up. I said well is Amanda around or Monica I want to let them know you said I’m good to go. Since no one told me how long I was gonna shadow. Everyone are not meant to look the same. I was so hurt to be treated this way. I feel bad for the patients who has disability or who face looks different from theirs. I would not recommend anyone who has and blemishes or disabilities on your face to not apply for this location. Unless you want giggling and laughing and hand gestures going on behind your back. I was never treated this at any job shadowing in my life.

I love Dr. Sonn! She is awesome. She took me on after Dr. Elaine Dupler retired. She is extremely personable and explains procedures very well. Today I had a LEEP procedure done in office.I could of done it out patient but since I handled other procedures so well ( I have a high pain tolerance) we both felt I decided I would do fine in office. It was everything I expected and she walked me through the entire procedure. I didn’t feel a thing after being numb. Awesome job Dr. Sonn!Wendy Youker

Taylor Schub is a great OB/GYN NP, such an easy going, personable doctor! Highly recommend!Also hats off to Tracy in the lab, shes spectacular for someone who hates blood draws!

All of the doctors I’ve interacted with have been so kind to me through my pregnancy! Dr. Ward and Dr. Neff delivered my twins (one via emergency c section!!), and I am so grateful for their quick action that led to two healthy babies! Dr. Ward made me feel heard and cared for every step of the way during the day of delivery and at my follow up visit!

I first came to the practice for an annual based on a referral of a friend and became pregnant shortly thereafter, so I just stuck with it because I liked Dr. Cline from my initial visit. I am SO happy to have found this group. Everyone Ive interacted with (doctors, nurses, specialists, admin staff) with is positive, helpful, and responsive and Ive now seen 4 of the doctors. I feel like Im in great care. The logistics for appointments, billing, and results are all super convenient. Even the lab is friendly, efficient, and painless. I just love this practice and would recommend to anyone looking.

Recently was blessed to have my 5th child who was delivered by Dr. Said, my previous other 4 unfortunately we’re not. I have had a few different doctors deliver my children and I wish I could of had her & her team, hands down EVERY TIME!!! She is AMAZING!!! Her team (Angie was a nurse that helped me tremendously) is just as AMAZING every one of them! They are the best team and I am grateful to of had them take care of my son & myself. I can’t recommend Dr. Said & her team enough. I recommend them over my multiple past doctors for numerous reasons. The issues I had delivering my other children she made sure weren’t issues that didn’t arise again. She made sure I knew I was her priority & that our son was in the best care. She is extremely down to earth, friendly and professional. She knows her job and performs it to the highest standards she can as well as all of the nurses that took care of us both. If you’re looking for a obgyn office STOP looking now- you have found exactly what you are looking for. I am that “up tight, overly protective, overly worrying constantly about everything that could go wrong Mom” and she let me know that was okay but also made me feel it for once. Over 5 stars recommend!!!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Elaine Dupler’s for over 10 years and I can’t speak more highly of her and her staff. They make an excellent team and are an incredible asset to the practice. Caring, thorough, wise and friendly would be just four words to describe all of them. Every question and concern I had was met with understanding and an answer/explanation I could understand. And a special shout-out to Maddie, Dr. Dupler’s nurse. She is absolutely wonderful and kind over the phone and in person.

I felt like I was heard and that my health mattered to them. I was thoroughly educated in my situation which I haven’t experienced before and they helped me feel very comfortable in their office. I’m very happy that I switched over to their office! It has made my situation a lot less stressful because I am able to be with a doctor who specializes in it.

Started seeing Dr Cline for my first pregnancy ! Dr Cline and staff are really positive and welcoming. Even the check in and check out staff was very informative and made things easier for me. I feel safe coming here, especially with Covid times. With it being my first baby I feel so new to everything and I’m learning as I go but I’m so glad I have the support here! I’m looking forward to my visits.

Today was my first visit to the practice and it was all positive. I was quickly greeted and checked in. My wait time was very short. The nurse and doctor were very friendly and made sure that I was comfortable. I was extremely pleased with my visit and experience.

I absolutely love this practice. I was very worried about having another pregnancy, my last one was miserable. All of my anxieties disappeared when I first met Dr. Mernitz. Hes a wonderful doctor. I love the staff here and the other doctors are great, too.

When I arrived I was greeted by the amazing women at the front desk. The nurse was very helpful & super nice & I absolutely loved the Dr. who made me feel very comfortable. I’m super excited about my next visit.

OGI is an excellent group and I have had an excellent experience with Dr. Kelly Robrock specifically! She takes time to sit down and answer all of my questions and concerns! She, along with the physician group are professional and given me excellent care! I highly recommend!

I have been with this group for a while now, I am newly pregnant and knew that this was where I wanted to be for maternity and delivery. However I will say every single time I am seen they always exceed expectations and are so kind. We are over the moon to have this experience and the staff just makes it that much more enjoyable!

1st visit, I was very pleased. No wait time, everyone I interacted with was friendly and professional, my physician was very knowledgeable and the online portal was easy and convenient.

I have had excellent service, kindness and friendship with this office thru my preganancy , after birth care and delivery of my child and through a miscarriage. They are the best, and will always be there for you.

I had a terrible experience here, especially with billing. Apparently some providers at this practice are in network for certain insurance providers and some of the providers are not in network for the same insurance provider but they don’t tell you which is which. Some of my appointments were covered by insurance and then after giving birth I found out some of the doctors were out of network. If you choose to go here call before each appointment to make sure the doctor you are seeing that day is in network. (Or just don’t go here..)

I have been seeing this practice for a few years. Excellent and friendly staff. Really good doctors who care about me and my overall health too, he took time away from his usual day off playing golf to do a surgery for me because it was more convenient for me and my familys schedule. Very appreciated.

Im so glad that I chose OB/GYN of Indiana when I got pregnant last year. The staff is great and the doctors are friendly and attentive (Dr. Ward is wonderful!). I plan to stay here as long as possible. I highly recommend them!

Dr. James Teter has been my OBGYN for 18 years. He is one of the best top notch doctors out there! Awesome bedside manners, amazing care and concern for his patients. He wont let anything health issue slide!

My first experience at OBGYN of IN was fantastic! I was quite nervous about meeting with a new OBGYN, but Dr. Robrock, the medical assistant, and the phlebotomist were wonderful. Dr. Robrock took the time to get to understand my medical history and answer my questions about contraception, family planning, and general feminine health. I would definitely recommend the Carmel office to anyone, especially when scheduling with Dr. Robrock. Finding a healthcare provider who you can be open and honest with is essential to primary care, and OBGYN of IN really allows that connection to happen. Thank you for being such an outstanding healthcare team!

After a horrible experience at Community North, OB/GYN of Indiana was amazing! I felt like they really cared about me and took the time to answer my questions and address my concerns.

Dr. James Dupler is an amazing doctor and even better human. He listens to you and makes you feel heard. 100% would recommend him to a friend or family member.

Dr. Cottoningham and her team are heartless, unprofessional, and neglectful of their patients Financial needs during a global pandemic. I called to book an IUD removal and asked for price of procedure and said I wish to pay in full, day of appointment. 3 months after my visit, I receive a bill in the mail with a large balance that I was completely unaware of. I was entirely misquoted by the billing department and by her nurse, Sarah, the day I scheduled my visit. Sarah did not properly explain the ACCURATE price of procedure, and a percentage adjustment of the ACCURATE PRICE. Nor did anyone explain to me that my payment in the doctors office was just a deposit, and disregarded my wishes....When I said in original conversation (when I booked the appointment) that I WISHED to pay in full, day of. Because of the fact that I knew I would be laid off in the fall due to COVID. Today, I was extremely upset and in tears explaining to the billing department and Sarah, why I originally requested I wanted to pay in full day of procedure. She neglected and ignored my request, the day I made the appointment, the day of the procedure and today when I called to get my bill adjusted to the amount I was verbally quoted. The billing department right away told me they couldn’t help or do anything about my bill and handled me off to the doctors office. There I was treated disrespectfully and spoke to as if I was stupid for not knowing the “breakdown” of the bill. EVERY DOCTORS OFFICE IS DIFFERENT, AND EVERY PRICE FOR A PROCEDURE IS DIFFERENT! THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I ASKED, THE DAY OF MAKING THE APPOINTMENT, HOW MUCH THE PROCEDURE WOULD COST AND THAT I WISHED TO PAY IN FULL. I asked for my bill to be adjusted to what I was quoted originally, with the price adjustment percentage. Sarah, said that she couldn’t do a price adjustment on what I was quoted, giving me an entirely unreasonable remaining balance due to lack of communication on their part. The entire staff at obstetrics & Gynecology of Indiana Westfield/Carmel location off of 116th street and Springmill Road, lack humanity, and sensitive consideration of their patients requests and their financial means during a global pandemic. I would strongly avoid Obstetrics & Gynecology of Indiana Carmel!

Elaine Dupler is by far the best female ob/gyn in the state. I drive well over an hour to see her and will continue to do it. She is worth any wait. She is kind, compassionate and smart, a wonderful physician.

Absolutely love the staff and my Dr. Highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a great female doctor. They listen and are very efficient.

I give Dr. Delrosario 5 stars. She has great bedside manners and made my procedures extremely comfortable. She is very knowledgeable and care about her patients wellbeing and will do her very best to figure out the issue her patients are experiencing, and will take extreme measures to resolve them. She explained every step of my procedure to me. The women at the front desk, check out window, medical assistances. nurses are very friendly as well as Dr. Delrosario. Axia Carmel has such a great staff and I’m glad I I was able to find and have Dr. Delrosario as a doctor. Thanks again Delrosario and staff…I really appreciate you.VB
