Planned Parenthood - Near North Elizabeth Cohn Morris Health Center

I can’t say enough great things about this facility. I was put in an extremely tough position and the team here went above and beyond to listen to my husbands and I concerns throughout the visit. They understood the major health risk I was facing and talked me through the entire processes. Not only did they give me so much information they also put my health first. It’s been awhile since I have been to a health care facility that put patients health and wellbeing above all. They quickly got my into the hospital and gave me the care I needed. Not to mention the follow up has been amazing. They have continued to check in on my husband and I to make sure we are getting the care we need . I can’t recommend this place enough. They are extremely knowledge, professional, and kind.

I filled the forms for a vaccine and they didn’t send them. It’s so hard to find an appointment, and when I was able to do it and showed up there to get the vaccine, they told me they hadn’t sent the forms I filled, and I would’ve to fill them again and make another appointment. So I just waisted my time bc one employee forgot to send the freaking form.

I just went today and i have really bad anxiety and was so scared about getting my procedure done and right when I walked in the room, they were so welcoming and friendly and comforting my anxiety went away then finally when I got my procedure, I was crying through the whole thing without sedation and keep saying sorry its just a trauma thing i guess. the nurses were so sweet and I wish I could’ve thanked them in so many other ways their kindness and helping me through the pain is something Ill never forget . I want to say thank you to the team. They are so sweet everybody in there.

I’ve been coming to this location since I was 16 (for six years now) and the staff never fails to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. I won’t lie, at times the wait is a bit long, but it’s totally worth it; I went to a different location once and it really just wasn’t the same. Anyway, today the girl (hopefully I’m not misgendering them) who did my ultrasound asked how I was coping with the end of my pregnancy, then a while later asked about my day, and although it might seem like something trivial and asking is probably just a part of her job, it made me realize that up until today nobody had asked me how I was handling the whole situation. I genuinely wish I remembered her name because she had a really sweet demeanor which made her easy to talk to and I think she deserves recognition.

I want to go back and give everyone there a hug. The staff is so friendly and made me feel comfortable and cared for every step of the way with my procedure. Not once did I ever feel judged or criticized. A special thank you to Angelina (or Angela) and Teddy for being so informative and compassionate! Even the insurance coordinator Sandy who reached out to me to make sure my insurance was correct so my appointment could go smoothly was a gem! Whoever else I interacted with and I didn’t get your name- thank you!I was so nervous going into my appointment but everyone there was very supportive and I truly appreciate you all ❤️

Very bad customer service!I don’t recommend even booking an appointment here. They cancel my appointment twice in a week after having to call off work.Didn’t even text or call to let me know.Staff was not understanding at all. I was pretty upset I showed up and for them to tell me they canceled my appointment due to it snowing. Which wasn’t even snowing that bad.

The woman who sedated me before my procedure on the lower level this past weekend was a total angel and she relieved all of my anxiety. I didnt get the chance to thank her for what she had done, as I never saw her again after I awoke. We only exchanged a few words before the procedure, and the only identifying info I have of her is that she was a caucasian woman wearing a scrub cap and lip gloss, and she told me shes a fellow Aquarius. I hope she knows what a positive impact she has made on me, and it has motivated me to pursue CRNA school because of her. Bless her heart! ♥️ To her fellow coworkers, if you see this review and you know who Im talking about, please let her know!Everyone else was also very positive and kind to me. They all maintained my privacy and dignity, and the appointment was coordinated smoothly.

Friendly staff. Im a student with low income and no insurance at the moment. I shared that info with them and everything was free in my visit. Unbelievable. Had I gone to another clinic like Midwest Express Clinic, I wouldve been charged so much. Glad to have finally found this place! Will donate when I make more money in the future. Use a condom everybody. Safety always comes first

This place takes alllllllllll day they will really try to encourage you not to do it weird place just dont do it if you dont really have to be this visit is truly mot worth it seriously!

Had the most positive experience here.The staff are extremely friendly & encouraging.The nurses & ultrasound technician were very gentle & kind.I want to personally thank the nurse Sarah(?) for being there for me through such a difficult time. I wouldnt have been able to get through my appointment without her.The wait time is very long, but its worth it if you want the quality medical care & support.I would suggest this location to anybody looking for options & birth control.

This clinic is not safe. When I was most recently there, an ambulance pulled up and they brought a woman out on a stretcher. They pulled away with sirens blaring. I heard a man who was passing comment that this happens all the time. I did some research of my own and theres been 24 medical emergencies there in the last five years. If and when I need health care for future pregnancies, this clinic is the last place I will go. I have had good experience with Aid for Women in the Loop and highly recommend them as being safe and affordable!

I came here to pick up my EC pills, Staff are very nice. They tell me more information. & it was Clean place, following covid guidelines.

I was sent to this location because my regular location was out of my birth control. It was during this experience that I saw what a sham Planned Parenthoods feelings are about Black Lives Matter and Believe Women. They sent me away with nothing talking of how they closed their supply for the day and could not help me. They should make sure that they update their hours online or at least answer the phone for any questions. There was no one when I got there. The girl in the glass cubicle and whoever she spoke with on the phone should both be ashamed of themselves.

Could not say enough excellent things about this Planned Parenthood. They are all great, but this is the one I come to most often. They implanted my IUD and were so kind and gentle. Always attentive and so sensitive to the important questions. I will forever donate to PP and defend it fiercely, excellent and incredibly vital institution.

My recent visit there have been horrible. It wasnt like this before, but I dont know. This particular time was just ugh. They gave me a hard time with my insurance, I felt like they lied to get more money outta me. And I honestly didnt feel welcome there. They wasnt as friendly a few years back when I first came. I dont know. It felt like I was being taken advantage of. Especially since they wouldnt allow someone with me. And I honestly wouldnt even be in this situation if it wasnt for them. They were the ones who refused to see me when it was time to get my BC replaced. So im done with this location. I dont wanna come back here. But this is just my experience and feelings. Not to mention they never answer the phone!!!! You will have better luck booking an appointment online and finding everything need on the site.

Facility was very clean and professional. I was treated like a human not a number. Everyone in there was caring & compassionate. Best staff i ever encountered. Highly recommended!

This Planned Parenthood was absolutely amazing. I was accommodated after I negligently showed up for my appointment on the wrong day. They were kind and helpful, they even moved things around to see me the same day. I truly appreciate this location and all that Planned Parenthood does!! I stand with PP.

I guess its my fault for not having switched locations already but picking up a simple pack of pills can take up to 30 min and forget about having your appointments being honored on time. Every time I come I hope it wont be like this but it is. This review marks my last time, Ill try a different location going forward.

This place is a nightmare! Do not ever send your loved ones here to receive care. Me and my sister were there and stayed over 7 hours! When I spoke to an Assistant Manager, Sandra, about the inconvenience, she blamed my sister! How disrespectful of them to blame the patient as if its her fault that they lack time management skills. Worse, my sister informed me that the Doctor was ignoring her when she complained about stabbing pains and so now shes gotta go to the hospital. I would never recommend this place to anyone!

Very sketchy and dishonest business - oh, non-profit (if thats real) thats how they brand themselves - I scheduled for regular wellness exam (insurance covered service) and they ended up giving and billing me a bunch of unrequested items! Btw, the so-called doctor at this place is not an MD or PhD, she is just some NURSE practitioner and lack of real medical knowledge and basic respect (let me wait an hour in room)! Dont go this place!!!

Made an appointment at 10:45 am. They didnt call me til 11:30 am. Then I have to wait for the doctor for another 45 min. She didnt see me til 12:15 pm and only spoke to me for 3 minutes. Now I am currently waiting in the waiting room waiting just to pay because no one is at the check out desk and they dont know where the person is. This is ridiculous. Ive been here for 2 hours and you would think they just want there money.

For some strange reason the medical assistants that work for planned parenthood DO NOT know how to properly postion patients to take BP readings. Ive tried to obtain birth control twice from this establishment but have been unsuccessful because of incompetence. During my last visit, I was told that I could only receive progestin only pills due to BP readings that were slightly elevated. The midwife went on to tell me that my last, which was 1 1/2 years ago, had an high BP as well and to go to my pcp to obtain my records in order to receive my preferred birth control method from planned parenthood. She printed out my records which showed numbers that you would think to call 911 for. These numbers were clearly a typo of some sort. I have absolutely no history of high BP. I did my research on progestin only pills and concluded that they would only give me unnecessary problems and worsen the acne that Im trying to control to begin with. I came to planned parenthood because of the ease of obtaining an appointment quickly and being able to walk out with medication the same day but clearly this has changed over the years. Now they misdiagnose you, refer you to your pcp, and you now have to pick up meds at your local pharmacy. I WOULD ADVISE EVERYONE TO RECEIVE AN SECOND OPINION AFTER VISTING THIS ESTABLISHMENT! NEVER AGAIN!!!

I get all my testing/exams done here. I had an ANP, Kairsten that was unbelievably amazing. She is so caring and extremely thoughtful and compassionate. If you need affordable reproductive care this is the place to go.

All the staff was nice. I felt very comfortable talking to Cara. She was sweet and very professional. The waiting area/rooms were clean. They followed COVID Guidelines.

Great experience. I am Canadian and needed a prescription refilled. Booked online for a few days ahead. Was seen right away. They were able to help with the prescription answered all my questions about other birth control options.

Went in for a ultra sound. Nurse was cold, wont let me see my baby on the screen moving. Would stay in the room long enough to answer my questions. Wouldnt let my husband in for the ultrasound even though I requested him there. $100 for three of the same pictures and and didnt hear the heart beat. They seem to have one goal and one goal only. They want women to abort. Absoulty the most coldest experience I have ever had. Would not recommend if planning on keeping your baby.

Great care and very comprehensive. I was comfortable and felt listened to the whole visit. Wait time was not too bad either! Will be returning.

The staff was dooooooooope.. This was my second pregnancy, 1st abortion and I was on the fence.. I felt bad and the young lady I sat with for education gave me so much comfort, she didn’t pressure me to “just do it”, she listened and she let me cry.. When I went back for the procedure the nurse and her assistant was so funny, they took all my worries away.. I’m not advocating for abortions but I will say if you do make that hard decision as I had to do this place is pretty dang good..

Was given misinformation when checking in. Was told I would have to wait multiple times just to pick up non-prescription medication when the waiting room had only 2 people in it whom appeared to be waiting for doctors ...not medication. Poor customer service. And this from an entity that is supposed to be helping people.

My wife had her appointment at 9:15 and still hadnt been attended by 3pm.....All they said was we had to wait to be called!! Many other people were attended but we had to wait even tho we were here first

Appointments timing. Unfortunately I had to wait almost an hour after the time of my appointment before I get attended.

This was one of the better Planned Parenthoods Ive been in. The staff were highly professional and friendly, and the doctor I visited was incredibly professional.

Worst experience ever got implantation birth control it was lost in my arm now to get removed they’re giving me run around for over a month now even after I’ve gotten X-rays waiting for them to review them and call back is even a run around DONT RECOMMEND!!!
