If you can, avoid this place at all costs.I went in today to get my basic checks done and had to wait over 2 hrs !!!I was checked in by the nurse and said the clinician will come in a bit but did not come at all….I was asked to change and was sitting in a paper gown for almost 2 hours and nobody came to check or tell how much longer is it gonna take. My husband was waiting for me outside and kept asking the receptionist how much more time and they kept lying saying ‘15 mins or less’ .I decided to leave as it was too much and went to the reception. The clinician was standing there and had the AUDACITY to tell me ‘we were going to check you next, had to do rounds with other patients, but you can always reschedule for next time’ and she left !!! There were people who came after me and left before me…I was one kept waiting the whole time !!I said I had been waiting for so long and no one told me if someone was coming or not or how much longer do I have to wait.I decided not to reschedule and said don’t want to come back here again.It was so frustrating as I had left other work obligations and appointments to be here on a weekday and they have no respect for anyone’s time.Very very irresponsible. Frustrating on my behalf. Extremely disappointed by the service.The staff was nice but extremely irresponsible as nobody communicated about the time, delay or expectations.

I asked more than once and when I left I was told I owed nothing. Now I have collection agencies calling me over $6.21. Do your due diligence and don’t mess up your patients credit. You have a card on file for me.

This place was amazing. I use to go to the one in Merrillville but I recently moved so I have this location a try. The only issues I had were they didn’t answer the phone and a note forgot to give me my ID back before I left. I went on 5/16 and once I called to retrieve my ID, staff informed me they could not send it through the mail and I would have to physically retrieve it. Overall my experience was great and everyone was pleasant as well as helpful.

Staff here is amazing, kind and professional. They made me feel comfortable and reassured about the whole process. Samantha was very patient with me and answered all my questions! Thanks guys xoxox

Gives out harmful information to a friend of mine that if you arent showing symptoms of herpes means you dont have it. Avoid this place as they are clearly uneducated. Herpes is a virus strain and you dont have to have visible symptoms to be a carrier of HSV 1 or 2 🙄 this isnt rocket science this info is literally on Google. Thankful I see a real doctor and dont have to come to this clinic and endanger myself believing their misinformation.

This was my first time coming to any planned parenthood location and I’ve never felt more safe, welcome, and looked out for in my life. Danielle at the front desk worked with me to help me get a plan that would work with my financial situation and gave me some reassurance before I went in. Alexis the nurse was SO incredibly comfortable to talk to. He did not make me feel ashamed or scared and he really made my anxiety go away. I didn’t feel any stigma or judgment. Everyone I interacted with treated me like a friend :). This is a location that genuinely cares for your well-being and I am so grateful that this was my first experience for something I was so scared of.

Listen here !!! The staff is amazing !! Friendly and thorough!! Tiera was very helpful I felt like I’ve known her personally and I love when I catch a vibe like that!!! I was able to be seen and get the help I needed! They already had my insurance on file, and all I had to bring was my ID. The operator accidentally set up my appointment in the charts as an office visit ,but I needed medical attention and Tiera was able to schedule me in last minute / same day and that is very rare! But she made it happen!! Thank you planned parenthood for always being there for me ! Special thanks to Tiera and her outstanding work ethic!!

Took over an hour for the (new) doctor to finally see me. Ive been going here for over a year and I have NEVER waited to see the doctor that long before.

Got here for my appointment for an ultrasound and the tech wasn’t in. No call no advance notice. What a waste of time.

One of the best experiences at planned parenthood! Meghan was great. She took the time to hear me out and address my concerns and gave me thorough explanations of everything and what to do after the appointment. Everyone who took care of me today was just so nice and really seemed to care. Would recommend to come here!

I love supporting Planned Parenthood as much as possible. The nurses are usually very nice and this is definitely the most convenient location for me, HOWEVER, it is really difficult to get someone on the phone because no one ever picks it up. The DocASAP portal is supposed to exist to make scheduling needs more convenient, but the majority of the time the portal errors out and has you call the office instead. It does the same thing for both in-person and telehealth visits, which doesnt really make much sense. I really dont want to have to choose a different (less convenient) location, but I might have to if they force my hand by not helping me get an appointment in a timely enough manner before my medicine runs out. The wait times are also obscenely long even with a scheduled appointment, but Ive never been turned away at least.

Staff is polite. I never run into any issues however they seem to be under staffed so depending on the day and how many patients they have you might be waiting for awhile even if you scheduled an appointment. I come in simply for birth control. No need for an appointment but it can take anywhere from 15 min to 60 min before I receive it.

I was late to an appointment. 3mins outside of their 15min grace period. Absolutely my fault however the MANAGER told me that I could be seen if I’m at the end of my window to get my shot. If I am not at the end of my window then they can’t see me today. If I have to be rescheduled I have to be rescheduled. It is unbelievably poor customer service to tell a patient that unless they are in the most compromising position possible that you will not help them. The MANAGER actually laughed when I sounded stressed about having to take more time off work to reschedule. She then continues to say that they suddenly don’t have enough time because they lost my paperwork and I have to resign consent forms. So first you could see me, now the forms will take too long and it’s not possible. This is disgusting behavior from a planned parenthood employee. No one answers the phone and when I have been on time I wait forever in this place.

The nurse Ari took such good care of me! she explained everything very clearly & kindly. she even helped answer a bunch of questions i had and helped me learn a few things about getting tested at PP. she truly made me feel comfortable and safe. this woman needs a raise or a bonus or something! i appreciate her passion for this job 💞

Very unhappy with this location. Ive been going here for just over a year since I moved to River West. Each time the experience is worse. The people are very nice, but wholly inefficient and slow. Whats the point of making an appointment if youre going to wait over an hour to be seen!? And why cant you ask all of the questions about my insurance and my address at once instead of asking me to sit down and then come back to the window 10 times!? So inefficient, obnoxious and wasteful.Today, I booked an appointment to get my injection and when I arrived was told I had booked the wrong kind of appointment (mind you Ive been booking this same appointment for 25 years!) and no one could see me for 3 hours. Then when I arrived home, I got a call and was told they made a mistake and no one could see me today at all. (Their famous excuse were working from a new system again. Theyve been working from a new system since I started visiting this location.) And, of course, the websites of all the PPILs in town dont have appointments available for 2 weeks! Thankfully, I did a Google search for other clinics that provide Depo and was able to make an appointment for today. If this new appointment goes well, sadly I am done with PPIL. While I certainly continue to support PPs national fight for womens rights, this local clinic is a terrible waste of time.

I’ve been coming here for a few years, and never really had an issue. Staff is always kind and helpful. Today I went in to receive my depo shot, and was taken care of by Natalie. She was extremely helpful and informative. She knew what she was doing, informed me as much as possible without me asking. (I tend to be shy sometimes so that was great)

I came here today for some gynecological care, and I felt assured, comforted, and genuinely cared for throughout the experience. I have had several bad experiences with other obgyn offices, but this was my first time at PP. They were so wonderful and kind. I am really thankful for this organization. THANK YOU!

I had an extremely positive experience at Planned Parenthood with my first pelvic exam and Pap smear, which I had put off for several years because I was so nervous about it. The entire staff was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and sympathetic. They fully answered all of my questions and made sure I was comfortable at every step of the process. I also found it much easier to make an appointment than at the private womens health doctors I had tried. I will highly recommend PP and this location specifically to people I know.

I have been to a few Planned Parenthood locations around the city and none have made me feel as comfortable when getting tested as here. I wish I could remember the absolutely lovely nurse that took care of me (when I go back for my annual exam I’ll update the review with her name!). Highly recommend this location.

I love planned parenthood and all the services they provide, HOWEVER I spent 4 hours waiting for a doctor just for the actual appointment to take less than 10min. Definitely call before your appointment to check the wait times.

I shouldve expected this to not be a smooth process this morning. I made my appointment for Saturday 7/14, about a week or more so in advance. I called Friday before my appointment to confirm it, I provided them with my insurance as well because they asked. After everything I asked if there was anything else I needed to do or bring for my appointment to get the implant in my arm. The woman said no, just bring ID and insurance. 8am this morning I arrive on time. I come to find out that they needed to validate my insurance before the appointment or I would be paying $1,000 for the implant. Why was I not informed of this before my appointment!!!! Why did nobody call in the weeks time telling me that I need to provide my insurance for my upcoming appointment. Nope nothing. Im so furious because I finally was able to make an appointment after having some free time in my schedule that would accommodate any appointment times. Just really irritated at the lack on communication.

Im so grateful that this place exists! I was able to get birth control and some important testing. Mind you, I dont have insurance and currently have a very low income...and still they were able to provide everything I needed for the price ai could pay. Once again, Im truly grad that you are here when I need it the most!

Terrific care provided. Terrible customer service and billing. Did not verify insurance before visit so had to pay out of pocket and three months later cannot get information needed to file my own claim. Ridiculous.

Worse experience ever 3hrs 1/2!!! For a visit can take not more than 40mins!! Is always the same thing in this office take soo long!! For a simple visit! They don’t have parking lot!! My husband wait for me in the car the whole time and driving around to avoid tickets!! Assistant need a better trained for giving wrong information Priscilla! Thank you to make me waist my time and my day! My visit was so bad that i took the decision to ask for my records and leave! To another Dr! Is sad! How bad they run that place! The time spending there is insane!!! Beside the overcharge for treatment they never did to me!! This is a big NO!

I hate that they don’t have a direct line. I went in to get medicine and they said it would be sent to the pharmacy. I check many hours later (as instructed) and it wasn’t even pending. It was a plan B so i need it asap. I called and it was a call center and they say it would take a full business day to have it at the pharmacy … IMMA BE 5 MONTHS PREGNANT BY THEN

First visit was great! staff is friendly and affirming. highly recommend this place for ob-gyn visits, as my gyno was very positive and educational :) there were surprisingly good magazines in the waiting room to lol. a wonderful resource! also very easy to schedule appointments with!

Was here for Nexplanon removal and insert. Done just fine. Had mostly daily and pinching pain after 2 weeks. Not normal. I had to switch my day with another co-worker to come back and get procedure again. When I got to my appt, I was told that the appt was just to look at it. So they were only able to accommodate me to remove since this was a daily pain. Left with no birth control. So 😡. They should have sm1 confirm appts and reason of appts to see if they were scheduled. correctly.

Whew chile...My appointment was at 1:50 you have to there 15 minutes before your appointment or they will reschedule you. I have been waiting a whole hour. Mind you you have to pay for parking as well. Smh.

Waited until i was at the clinic to tell me they havent ran my insurance even though i scheduled the appointment months early and to come back another day. completely disregarded the amount of traveling id have to make

I went in last week to get my implant taken out. I forget the doctors name but she was just wonderful and her personality was beautiful they made me feel so comfortable. Ill be going back next month for the iud placed and i hope i get the same doctor.

I have come here a few times for regular STD testing/checkups. They are very close to the blue line which is why I initially chose this location.The staff has always been friendly and knowledgeable.They have free wifi for while you wait which is pretty great since you usually have to wait a bit after checking in and between procedures if you are doing multiples.

Grateful they have a schedule that is flexible. Not grateful that Ive called 3 times to have my prescription changed to a 3 month supply and they cant figure it out. I even told the nurse practitioner my insurance required it be written as a 3 month supply to receive it as such and was completely ignored. Probably will not be back.

After my issue with my appt. The scheduler had not scheduled me correctly. I spoke to the provider abt the problem, Megan the provider said, no problem, I will do what needs to be done. And it was done. The MAs should of asked the provider before telling me it was not possible to have this corrected.

This Establishment is very DISCRIMINATORY and RACIST I recently came into this clinic to get a pregnancy test at 12pm but was told that I guess everyone in this clinic was going on break at 12:30pm so I wasn’t able to be seen until 1:30pm after their break. Being that I had to be at work I couldn’t get the test done but I felt like it could’ve been done within the 30mins but I guessed since I wasn’t either Hispanic or Caucasian I wasn’t a priority. I would never step foot into this clinic ever again they look at African Americans like we are a bother to this business and they do not appreciate our support to this establishment.

I come here basically every 3 months and every time is always very nice. Staff are always super nice and make me feel very comfortable and welcome!

Pretty good for the basic services. Just that they keep having to withdraw blood because of a mess up that seems to be consistent with some test. Im not a fan of having them draw blood each month for a test thats supposed to be done not that frequently.

I love Planned Parenthood. I felt listened to and properly educated. Great location, clean, organized, very friendly folks who work there. Laura is super nice!

Absolutely loved my visit there the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and even though my appointment didnt go through the system they fit me in the schedule right away with a minimal wait. Thanks again!

Horrible experience. Never felt this type of pain after a Pap smear. The NP was not gentle at all! They also suck at drawing blood. Come here at your own risk.

Go. If youre scared, dont be. The nurses are extremely nice and will answer all of your questions. Im so happy I went. I did not have to wait that long to be seen.

Had a good experience at this location mainly because of the nurse Rafaela she went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and so easy to talk to.

The staff was so nice, they answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable all the time.

The medical staff was incredibly kind and made me feel safe. They actually care about you.

I have visited a few other PP within the city and this is by far the best location. I felt I could ask any question without being judged and have an educated answer, on top of the staff being very nice.

Some nurses were nice others had very little patience. Some can just b plain rude.

The lady that collects your money has a bad attitude. Like somebody owe her an explanation or something. And yes Im taking about the one with the glasses boo boo.

Appointment was scheduled on a tuesday at 9:30 in the morning and i did not get seen until 11. Ridiculous.

I traveled a long way to come to this destination. The staff is truly amazing

Its the worst place seriously dont waste your time in this place!!! I dont understand how they can have these types of places... the staff there is terrible!!!... I went for a pregnancy ultrasound. At that moment the lady told me why she was doing the pregnancy to abort it or continue it!! And Im not keeping it!!!! She kept insisting that I abort it and when she did the ultrasound it hurt me and in the end she said she didnt look at my baby!!! It took hours for a response and in the end they said that I could have a complicated pregnancy!!! Pure lies they said they would draw my blood and in the end their nurse came in by the way his name is Alexis and he didnt know how to draw blood!!!!! He left the room and sent another nurse who clearly didnt know what she was doing and I left that place!! So horrible!!!! I will check it out with a lawyer and on the other hand do not waste time in these places where the only thing they want is to end the life of a defenseless being!!!! And because of their lack of knowledge they give their patients a hard time and I really hate this place, I would never recommend it and I would never return.
