Dr. Trandai is an incredible doctor. Ive been seeing her for the past 2 years, and she always takes my health seriously, runs tests for things some other doctors might dismiss, and makes even uncomfortable procedures as painless as possible. I also really appreciate that she tries to help as much as possible with navigating insurance and making sure procedures are covered correctly

Had a few appointments in May due to a large ovarian cyst, Dr Trandai wasn’t too helpful, I waited a long time in the waiting room. Dr Trandai asked me if I wanted kids I said I wasn’t sure she said I should have kids right away if I chose to and the baby could develop Down syndrome because of my age. First of all that was rude, I’m very healthy come from a long line of healthy genetics. My mother had a healthy pregnancy at age 39 and healthy twins at age 41. I didn’t visit the office to discuss me having or not having kids, I wanted help with painful ovarian cyst.

The staff is super nice and welcoming. Dr. Trandai truly care for you! Make you feel as comfortable as possible. They were able to accommodate me.Dr. Trandai is professional, knowledgeable and kind. Highly recommended!

I tried Dr. Trandai because I don’t want to be part of a systemic patient demographic where a lot of people get the same treatment. Her website was promising that I would get individualized care and she would take time with me. The clinic waiting room is really “cold” and uncomfortable. The assistant who took me back was really nice, but didn’t tell me what my vitals were, just jotted them down and told me to get undressed. She seemed in a hurry. I’m no stranger to how busy offices can be, I’m a nurse myself who works in one. Dr. Trandai came in and introduced herself with a smile, but that’s where it ends when it comes to the pleasantry of the encounter. She asked me my medications, and seemed annoyed when I had one she had never heard of. I have an extensive gyne history including a surgery, she did not ask me for information or tell me to send it to her or release records. I’m thinking even if I had them in hand, she wouldn’t have bothered to read them. Under the same umbrella, I asked some questions about the IUD she was pressuring me to put in that day, and wanted me to take meds to make it more comfortable “while I make a decision” her response was “well this is my first time seeing you I don’t know you enough to give an answer”. This would be understandable if she had made an effort to ask more about/obtain my records. I’m starting to think the iud would make her some money and she saw the opportunity. The pelvic exam was unchaperoned, and I felt dismissed when I had concerns about BV. I know my body and I’ve had it before, but yet she was quick to dismiss. The results of the pelvic were texted to me informally, along with a “don’t reply to this number” and never received a phone call or paperwork via email or mail or anything. If you want patient centered care and don’t want to be constantly dismissed, run far from this office.

Always an efficient and pleasant experience! Im never asked weird questions and feel respected. Exactly what you want from a gyno lol.

My review is for Dr. Trandai at Thorek Hospital. I was there Wed Sept 27.Last time I saw a specialist was about 10 years ago and I am much older now. I had a list of questions which she answered and provided very helpful information. I was really comfortable with her and found her to be a very good doctor. I highly recommend this doctor. Not five stars for a few reasons. The waiting time was long, in the waiting room and when in the exam room. They really need to work on this. The other thing was when the doctor came in I began talking and she started to text. She did tell me she was texting with a colleague about a patient. She needs to work on not doing that. The offices are a little outdated a long with the exam rooms. The staff is really nice. The exam room did have pieces of paper throughout the floor, someone didnt clean well.

Dr. Trandai is an incredible physician. She makes you feel comfortable and able to open up about anything thats concerning you. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I cannot recommend her enough! She is fantastic!

Absolutely the kindest and best doctor in Chicago. Dr. Trandai is smart, fast, and absolutely someone I trust with my health. The staff in the office is some of the nicest and most helpful staff Ive ever been to - could not recommend enough. She made a very difficult and painful procedure manageable, and was kind the entire time.

I had a slight emergency, well what I felt was a emergency. I made an appointment online at 1030pm for the next day with no problems. When I arrived, I filled out my paperwork and shortly after I was called to the back. My first impression of Dr. Trandai is that she is kind and cares for her patients. She took her time explaining and even pulled out a visual chart so I could actually see what she was talking about. I left her office feeling much better about my concern. Dr. Trandai just gained a returning patient.

Dr. Trandai is an excellent doctor.. I first met her over 12years ago when I was pregnant at the time.. She was very thorough then and explained everything as she was giving the examination. I eventually change doctors because of the change of job and insurance. Current date..I started going to her clinic again and everything remains the same.. Dr. Trandai is very polite, and knowledgeable. She keeps her patients updated on the pro/ cons of different healthcare related situations.. I definitely will be returning to see her again.

I had a very good experience with Dr Trandai. She was honest and frank and was patient with any question I had for her. She has an aura of competence and I feel like I can trust her to help me make good choices about my health.I saw a few reviews before coming in that were negative about the office staff. I did have a hard time connecting one time when I called in and wasnt exactly greeted when I came into the office. However, I appreciate that its not a huge office; the staff is hardworking and they were very kind when I spoke with them.

Dr.Trandai is Wonderful!! I have been seeing her since 2015 and Im soo glad I chose her to be my doctor. She is kind, caring and very passionate. I Love her warm welcoming bed side manner. She is very family oriented. Her staff and office is always clean and organized. I would highly recommend her to my family and friends or whoever needs woman advice.

Dr. Trandai has been my doctor for close to 3 years now and I absolutely love her! She delivered my 2 daughters and asks about them immediately at every appointment I have with her. Dr. Trandai is an wonderful Doctor who listen to your concern and needs, I was 7 months pregnant when I start going there and during my first visit I feel like I could trust her and stop worrying due to how my previous doctor have me so scared. she explains everything in details, she call to make sure your okay and reassure you that she will be there to deliver my baby. Her staff is great and always welcoming and I just want to thank her for taking me on even though I was so late and for delivering my baby Boy. Shes the best you will find and I recommend her to all pregnant ladies.

Dr. Trandai is absolutely wonderful! She is knowledgable, warm, and calming. Everything that you could hope for in a doctor- especially when it comes to having a baby! My husband has mentioned on multiple occasions that he wishes Dr. Trandai could be HIS doctor. I highly recommend her!

Brought in an ultra sound Id had a year prior that my prior NP said to have a doctor further review. Trandai barely read it and said it was nothing, then said I didnt need an updated one. I had concerns about PCOS, she acted like I was a fool and said I definitely dont have it (emailed me an article while I was sitting there about what it is, very condescendingly, when I had multiple symptoms). I asked about ways to ensure I took the best measures to keep my fertility healthy. She said, and I quote: You cant extend your fertility, youre gonna get wrinkles and get old and thats it. My suggestion to you, is to have kids as soon as you can. (I was un-partnered at this time). I was horrified by her bedside manner and diminishing my concerns. Got an updated ultra sound per recommendation of my new amazing OBGYN Dr. Brown. I have fibroids, a larger endometrial polyp, as well as confirmed PCOS. Deciding to not be under Trandais care, might have been a decision that saved my own life. Run away from this woman.

I think Dr. Trandai is a wonderful doctor who is kind, caring, helpful and thorough. Unfortunately, I found the operational side of her practice to be lacking and it discouraged me to continue with her as a patient. First off the only line of communication is to call the office or leave a voicemail, there is no online portal of way to send her a message electronically which is much more convenient. The teams of receptionists are not the easiest to communicate with making the fact that her only form of communication is via phone even more frustrating. I dealt with many mistakes on their end such as not cancelling appointments when I had called several days prior to do so, sending appointment confirmation text messages to my emergency contact instead of to my phone number and also claiming the only way to pay for my visit was via money order. It’s unfortunate that her practice does not operate as well as she performs as a doctor. She’s a 5 star physician working in a 1 star facility and all of the time, effort and headaches I’ve dealt with from their mistakes over time has discouraged me from continuing with her as my doctor.

Dr. Trandai is the BEST. She is the first OBGYN I found when moving to Chicago. 3 healthy deliveries and 10 years later, I would never go to anyone else. Do yourself a favor and see Dr. Trandai!

Ive had one visit with Dr. Trandai and out of all the times Ive visited specialists, she listened to my chief complaint and did some diagnostics to hopefully figure out whats wrong with. Ive never had a doctor ask to do diagnostics and biopsy at the time of my visit and it was nice she seem committed to caring for me , knowing that it could be a bit of journey. Still, she had viable options which we discussed and its quite refreshing to have someone that wants to help me, and not just get me in and out the door.

Very rude and disrespectful, she talks so much and does not listen to her patients. As a health care provider as well, I can confidently say she does not know the basics of how to treat a patient! She sent me to do a bunch of tests and when I came back with the results, she literally kicked me out of her office and kept repeating “you have many problems, why do you come to me, you should find another OBGYN close to your home” She does not appreciate that I drove an hour to discuss my case with her! Very very rude and unprofessional. When I showed her my HSG X-ray she was unable to interpret it and kept repeating “I am not a radiologist”, I understand its not your specialty but at least you should know basic female anatomy! She did not even care to open the CD with the images to have a look at it. The visit was useless, do not waste your time with her.

I am proud to say that Dr. T. (Trandai) is MY doctor. I have seen many doctors in my day and she is just what I was praying for. She is very personable and takes her time and talks with you like a person. I love that she has office hours on Sunday. I live about minutes from Indiana and I pass many doctors to travel far north to be seen by her. I was pleased when I was referred to her. The staff has always been pleasant and helpful. In the past I never had a preference when it came to a male doctor or a female doctor. I just wanted a doctor that is caring, concern and listens. I have found all these attributes in DR. T. Trandai

I had great experience with dr Trandai. I have three children and they were all delivered by dr Trandai. She cares about your health and listens to your concerns and tries to answer your question as best as she can. Her office is very clean and her rooms are always well prepared with equipment that is needed for the appt. No matter what type of day she is having, she always walked into my appoints with a smile on her faces. I really like her and will recommend her to anyone that is in need of a OB.

When I called for an appointment I was hoping to receive an early. I was extremely happy to be given an appointment within a short time frame. Dr. Trandai explained the whole procedure as she was doing the various steps and helped me be relaxed. All in all I felt comfortable and well taken care of during my visit.

Love, love Dr. Trandai! I found her through a list of doctors on the Aetna website. I came to her 9 years ago when I was pregnant with my second child. She has given me outstanding care for the past 9 years. She is so warm, friendly and hilarious. Im so glad I found her. I love how she explains everything so thoroughly and does it in such a relaxed manner. Im always so happy to see her even if its only once a year.As for her office staff, they are so kind and helpful. The last time I was there, there was some concern that my insurance would not cover my visit since it was within a 12 month period. They alerted me and suggested I verify it with my insurance first. I did and everything was fine. I appreciated that they didnt want me to pay out-of-pocket. I would have never known about this issue unless they told me.Once again, Dr. Trandai is terrific. Ive been seeing Dr. Trandai for years and developed such a good relationship with her. Always sound advice. Shes comforting and compassionate. I would recommend my family and friends to see her.

Dr. Trandai really cares about you. She is understanding, honest and interested in your needs. She wants the best for her patients and does everything in her power to make that happen. I recommend her to everyone.

A big warning to you all...DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, UNRESPONSIBLE, CARELESS DOCTOR EVER!!!. Im Vietnamese and I never wrote a review before especially to my own people. We just dont know how she became a doctor, which is un-professional and most important is she doesnt care for her patients but herself. My wife was pregnant for over 22 weeks and cannot get an ultra-sound because she denied to sign the form, proof of pregnancy and treated by her which the insurance required. She told us that form has to be sign by the attorney. I called the insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield)and put on the speaker phone right in her office. The rep said it was the first time she ever heard of the attorney has to sign this form. Section 1 filled out by the patient, section 2 & 3 needs to fill out and sign by the doctor. The rep slowly explained through the speaker phone but Dr. Trandai was hiding inside her room and didnt come out to talk with the rep or us.My wifes pregnancy passed 20 weeks and now we cannot change the doctor. This doctor forced us into a corner and did not care for the baby or my wife. There must be a reason for her not to sign the form that the insurance is required to do the ultra-sound.There was a lot of terrible situations with Vietnamese people that weve found out with Dr. Trandai but they did not speak up due to their English issue.Anyways...we will never ever come back to her office again. I do not recommend anyone to come to this horrible doctor ever.

She has really been a good support and has given the best during my pregnancy. Unlike other hospitals, she is the one who takes care of the delivery. I really like her and will go to her again for any gync stuff!

Very clean & calm environment. Staff is polite & welcoming. Dr. Trandai is also very polite, caring, understanding & seems to genuinely want to help you with whatever you are there for. I liked my visit.

Worst experience at a doctor ever. Where do I even begin? No one spoke a word of English in the entire office, the office was extremely dirty including the examining rooms. The nurses and doctor were super aggressive. Lastly, they never billed through my insurance even though I gave them my insurance so I ended up having to pay a DEBT COLLECTOR since they never told me that I didnt pay when they never billed my insurance. I think it is a fraud. They need to be shut down.

She is one of the worst doctors ive ever had. During a procedure in which she said she would talk me through it, she was rushing and hurt me so bad i hurt my back and was crying because i felt violated. When other doctors performed that same procedure, they were gently and spoke to me during the entire procedure of what was happening, significantly less painful than with Dr Trandai.Today at my appointment which started at 10am, i didnt see the doctor until almost 1130 (1.5 hrs later) and i tell her i have to get back to work. I only mentioned this so we could move along the appointment at a quicker pace. She starts to say if i want a doctor that is on time i need to find someone else. She became irate and got up suddenly saying she needed a break. I say excuse me ive been waiting, how much longer do i have to wait? She says I dont know and tries to slam the door, but i grab it and im in the hallway right behind her.I tell her i dont appreciate the lack of professionalism. She storms off into another room. I tell the nurse Norma (she is sweet as pie) what is going on and ask her what is the doctors problem. the doctor eventually comes back were now two hours into the visit....and again she starts saying that i need to find another doctor because she is never on time. I stop her and tell her look treat me as if i was a patient you actually cared about and help with some kind of treatment. She says well if youre going to see your PCP then i dont need to do anything.That upset me and i said its already been two hours, i havent wasted my time here to not have some type of treatment plan in place. She starts shaking, gets an RX pad, write a script for pain killers. I never told her i was in pain. She also wrote an order for an ultrasound, which i recommended. I will never ever go back to this doctor and you shouldnt waste your time.

Doctor Trandai it’s been my doctor for the last 4 years, and she is been always very professional and kind to explain all my questions regarding to health, pregnancy and babies. I wish more doctors were like her.

Dr. Trandai is a capable doctor and a nice person, up until you google anything and ask her about it (doesnt everyone do that these days??) When I dared to do some research on my own and ask her questions, she said to me thats not fair to me (what?!!) and told me to go see another doctor!! I did exactly that. Dr. Trandai ended up doing absolutely nothing for me, other than breaking up with me lol (so odd), yet her office charged a whoooole heck of a lot with overly itemized bills (more than my new obgyn who actually answered my questions and treated me!)One more word of advice, speak slowly and purposefully to the receptionists. I understand this office serves a Vietnamese/bilingual community, yet everyone who answers the phone speaks such broken English that it is frustrating and time-consuming trying to communicate with them. They often had to pass around the phone numerous times when I called, even to make an appointment.

Horrible experience with my first pregnancy, I had to switch OBGYN around 20 weeks . Thank God I did. She would talk down to me every visit! I stuck it out believing it would work but she was very nasty to me and my husband.
