Physicians Immediate Care

Everyone I interacted with was both very friendly and professional. The wait time was average for an “urgent care” sort of operation. The facility was very clean and I left feeling confident that the doctor and staff listened and cared about their patients and interactions. I hope that I don’t need to go back but it’s good to know they’re in my neighborhood if I need them.

Recently had to visit this site and I’m so glad I did! The staff was courteous, the facilities were clean, the wait time was minimal, and the check-in process was very easy. Patrick S. was fast, efficient, and explained to me what was going on in a way that I’d understand without sounding condescending. It was a great experience all around!

I had a persistent bloody nose occur suddenly a week after a traumatic nose fracture accident. It was a scary experience. The nurse tech and the PA Michael were very helpful and compassionate. They were good at communicating my likely diagnoses and treatment options. I was seen within an hour of making an appointment online. The visit cost $75 up front on my credit card. Not sure whether there will be any further bills after insurance processes any specific treatment charges.

Dont come here if you were injured at work. I was hurt at work, my boss had reported it to his insurance and I had a claim number and everything and they wouldnt see me without my boss filling out paperwork authorizing me to be seen which makes absolutely no sense. Then they were saying without that form I would be charged out of pocket. I was hurt at work, I have a workers comp claim, why do I need A. permission from my boss to seek medical care and B. why would I pay ANYTHING out of pocket when its a workers comp case? They also dont tell you any of this until youre already there.Also, if you need an x-ray they might not have an x-ray tech available but they wont tell you until you get there.The woman at the front desk was very nice though!

I had travel to Chicago 3 days before my daughter would be induced for the birth of her baby. Her family was sick with the flu when I arrived. They had been put on a prescription as the baby was being induced in 2 days. The hospital rule was I needed a nasal swab.. the results immediately and a prescription filled if I tested positive ALL BEFORE I could be with my daughter and new baby in the hospital.This was a very STRESSFUL time. I do not live in Chicago. I had to find a clinic that would.. test with a the nasal swab … give me the results immediately, and a clinic that could give me a prescription. I started dialing at 8:00 amCVS clinics.. Walgreen Clinics, and walk-in clinics.They were Always answered by an AUTOMATED SYSTEM that WILL NOT give you a real person… OR the clinic’s ONLY option is for YOU to schedule an online appointment WITHOUT being able to ask about the 3 things I needed.I FINALLY found Physicians Immediate Care.A PERSON answered I COULD DO all three things I needed!! I walked in … waited 20 mins … got my nasal swab… the physician returned with the results in 20 mins!!! My test was negative!!!It’s 11:00a.m. I now can go be with my daughter in the hospital.Thank you Physicians Immediate Care!It was a healthy Baby Boy 🙌 Rhonda R

Patrick Stagg was very professional, personable, and efficient. I appreciated how he took his time to understand the impact of my symptoms, and then provided the best path to wellness. Additionally, the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. I’ll definitely visit again!

The staff were extremely polite and helpful. Apparently this facility has been bought out by ‘well now’ or something within the last month. I made a reservation, arrived on time, and they asked me to pay immediately before I even knew what services were needed. I proceeded to wait nearly an hour in the lobby with my fussy four month old to then be told they did not carry the type of test I needed. They refunded my money but said it will take a few days to process. I asked if there was anyway I could have checked prior to my appointment and they said no, the new company just wanted to get people in to pay. Unacceptable.

Every aspect of My visit was exceptional: clean, calm and orderly.The Receptionist who registered Me, the MA who took My vitals and the Physician were each so pleasant and knowledgeable that I left feeling well tended to and even comforted.

Two stars because the actual care I receive here is generally excellent. But if you go here, keep on them meticulously about billing. I went for an UC visit in 2022, paid my copay, and never received a further bill for services. It turns out they billed my insurance, messed up the paperwork, didnt resend when requested, and just held onto the bill for two years without sending it to me. I finally received a bill in April of 2024 with a due date of that month. After calling back and forth between the urgent care center and my insurance, I came to find they had reported my bill to collections before their *posted* due date, which was, again, two years after the urgent care visit. This was the first thing I had ever had sent to collections, and it was extremely frustrating to have to deal with.Again, the care I receive here, I have no complaints about. But their administrative/billing team probably needs better training or more quality checking.

I dont understand why there are low scores posted on the Urgent Care facility. I guess I cant speak to their experience but mine was fantastic. I was having trouble walking to the facility so my partner went for help. They gave him a wheelchair so while I was a block and 1/2 away made my travel easy. I did not wait long to be seen and the doctor was amazing. If you need medical, I would recommend this Urgent Care.

The times I or my husband have gone here, we made an appointment, and we were taken back in a very timely fashion. The PAs we had were kind and helpful. They were able to address our issues and help resolve them.

I started experiencing symptoms of cellulitis at 12-1 pm and made an appointment at 6 pm, the office was able to see me at 6:45 and took immediate action with treatment, and I got on antibiotics the next morning. Really appreciated everyone’s quick response and kindness at the office!

They are a great and very clean also I’m deaf and they provided for VRI ASL INTERPTER. That is very important to communication with Doctor. They are awesome.

The staff is very nice I will say that. But if you have insurance DO NOT USE YOUR INSURANCE here because they will charge your insurance over $700 and then you have to pay $400 on top of the $168 they request when you come in. If it’s self pay it’s $168. I still have to pay the remaining balance they will not adjust it for me.

Beware: I went to the physicians immediate care and while the staff were friendly & helpful, ever since they merged with Wellnow their insurance & payment policies are predatory. They accepted my insurance information in the online check in form and then proceeded to charge me the full amount for a self pay visit and didn’t even bill my insurance. They also didn’t send me a receipt so I can’t submit to my insurance company. I called a few weeks ago and the man on the phone said they would submit to my insurance. Guess who never did? I just got a bill for the labs from Quest as well and guess who didn’t send along my insurance information? Now I have to call them as well. The headache of them messing up that bad doesn’t make the services worth it.

My visit at physicians immediate care was excellent. The nurse and xray technician were very personable and efficient. The PA, Patrick, was outstanding. He was easy to talk to, attentive, knowledgeable and provided medical information in an relatable manner.

I went to urgent care after a week with tooth pain. I had a procedure with my dentist a month ago, but a week ago, a tooth started to hurt. I visited twice this week the dentist but he didn’t prescribe anything, so I went there to have another opinion. They prescribed antibiotics in case it was an infection. I felt heard and seen. Thank you Patrick.

Was skeptical at first but when you’re coughing your brains out for 7 days or more and it’s a Saturday it’s a great resource to have - saw Patrick at the 6100 block of Broadway and Granville and am happy to report that I got a thorough treatment, chest xray and a prompt prescription that took care of my issue. Friendly staff, very helpful and follow through was great!

Staff was great, and got me in super quick! The entire staff was knowledgeable and had a great deal of compassion towards me. Thankful to have them in the neighborhood, and that they could see me so quickly!

Terrible experience. First off, the young woman I spoke with on the phone immediately showed poor communication skills from the start of the call.Two, they refused to do a basic catheter removal despite our being told by multiple doctors that any urgent care facility SHOULD be able to conduct this as its not a surgical procedure nor invasive in any way.Any general doctor should be familiar with removing it. But they adamantly refused to do so. And we were desperately searching for a doctor to do this since we couldnt find a proper urologist who accepts his insurance - and he has reached the deadline for removal.This is not the first time weve been to this facility and experienced a lack of urgent behavior from the staff.Why this facility is classified as urgent care is anyones guess.

The physicians, nurses, and staff were fantastic. I had an accident and needed stitches and they got me in quickly, and were very kind and understanding.

I have been a walk in twice as per work. Each time I was seen promptly with amazing customer service. When my girlfriend got sick with the flu I took her there as well. They fit you in and dont bat an eye towards helping you get in and out.

I had severe back pain and chose this location on a recommendation. I arrived mid-morning without an appointment and was seen within a few minutes. The woman at the front offered me water and a snack while I was waiting which was kind and much appreciated. The staff all showed patience and care during my visit and helped me with the pain. Would revisit for sure.

Dont bother making an appointment here. I was going to pay out of pocket to get seen. I had an appointment for 1.50 got there at 1.30 at 2.30 I asked what was going on and got yelled at and told not to come back. Complete waste of time. Of course they want people to stay in their rooms so they dont see them sitting around.

This is my 2nd time visiting this location and I have always been pleased. Dr.Rachel Dress is amazing as was Dominique N. The young lady who triaged me. Convenient location, and friendly front desk staff. Due to unbearable circumstances I had cancelled an evening appointment and decided to take my chances and walk in understanding there could be a wait. Thank you staff for your , accommodations, kindness and attentiveness. Amazing job!

I waited over 30 minutes to be seen after making an appointment the day before.The staff were either not wearing masks or wearing them under their noses, despite large signs everywhere about the companys commitment to infection control that say masks required! It made me wonder if the claims on those signs about air quality and cleanliness were also a lie. I wouldnt recommend this location to anyone who is immunocompromised in any way.The facility did not even have basic diagnostic equipment (could not perform an EKG or blood test) and I was told I should go to the ER (where they...performed and EKG and blood test. Except for hundreds of dollars and hours more than it would have been at an urgent care).There was loud music playing somewhere in the treatment area the whole time I was there - not great for patients dealing with headaches (one of my symptoms)!

I had a gash in my finger that required six stitches. Everybody from the moment I walked in to the moment I left was very caring human professional and just nice. Trey Owens was amazing in terms of his knowledge his care his personality and his concern for the patient.

The secretary was very sweet very professional. I enjoyed my time with the Doctor Who was also very professional and very kind. I will keep coming back when I have medical issues when my doctor is not available, thank you.

Both times Ive been to immediate cares they have been so nice and professional. The process for a first time visit is all on your phone too. 10/10 go here

When you have a medical emergency this is the place to go. Everyone is incredible from the front end personnel to the medical staff.They are knowledgeable professionals who treat their patients with the utmost respectAnd kindness.

It was my first time at this immediate care center and the providers were very helpful. It was a clean environment and they were able to see my right away.

Receptionist doesnt listen. I explained to her that my insurance needs to be updated in the system h she did not do that. I have received a bill for over $300. She also quoted extremely long wait times with hardly any patients in the waiting area. It seemed like she wanted to deter ppl from coming so she quoted a long time so they would leave. I think I was quoted 1.5hr wait. I was in & out within I hr of arriving because there were hardly any patients there!

This place seems to have good doctors, but the receptionists are extremely rude.During my visit I was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection requiring an antibiotic. I was given Amoxicillin, and in my sick state it slipped my mind that my girlfriend has a very severe allergy to any penicillin-based medication and we are both uncomfortable with me taking them because of danger of cross-contamination.I called the clinic back and spoke to a receptionist who was extremely dismissive and rude about my request. I asked her if she could simply have the doctor prescribe me a different medication that is not penicillin-based. Her response was rudely stating, No, the doctor will not prescribe you another medication. Just take the pill and wash the glass and you will be fine. Then she literally hung up on me!I was appalled and immediately called back, getting the same woman. She was again rude, and when I told her that she hung up on me, she apologized in a mocking sing-song voice. I demanded to speak to a manager, and she refused, telling me that there was no one there in charge above her. Apparently to try to get rid of me, she asked if I wanted to speak directly to a doctor and I said yes. So guess what? She put me on hold for over 5 minutes before my call was transferred to an empty voicemail box with no name, and one which is clearly never checked, because no one from the clinic ever returned my call.I am absolutely appalled by this level of customer service and I will never return to this location under any circumstances. These people should be ashamed of themselves for treating sick people in this manner. Thoroughly disgusted. I have never been treated so poorly by customer service anywhere in my life.

Patrick Stagg’s medical expertise and dedication to his patient’s care saved me from ending up paralyzed from the waist down. I came into the clinic thinking my sciatica was progressing in a harsh way but he quickly identified my symptoms as a rare condition that if left untreated for even 24 hours could result in complete paralysis from the waist down. He drafted a note for the ER team explaining his prognosis and directed me to go to an emergency room immediately to get an MRI to confirm the cauda equina syndrome I was experiencing. I could never recommend any PA higher than this man and I could never thank him enough.

Over an hour wait past my appointment time. People who came in person before me and asked for an appointment on the spot went ahead of me. What’s the point of online time schedule?

Clean, courteous, efficient, kind, empathetic staff. I had no wait and only had to fill in a lot of paperwork before being seen immediately. 10/10 would recommend!

I went to this office yesterday to deal with a potentially embarrassing issue. I was able to be seen by a PA within 30 minutes of arrival. The nurse, Shauna, and PA, Patrick, were fantastic! They listened to me closely and they told me I didnt have to feel embarrassed. I know I was babbling a little bit at one point, but they never tried to rush me. I felt very comfortable.Also, Cindy at the check-in desk was lovely. She was patient and kind with a great attitude.I had a great experience there!

Doctor Patrick was great with my daughter, calm and smiley. He explained everything to us.Update: After 2 weeks of visiting the first time I got sick. Thank got this clinic is really close to home. I booked an appointment the next day. The doctor helped me a lot. I already feel better!!

I had never visited an immediate care clinic, they are wonderful, have exceptional service and make you feel unstoppable. while you visit them. The treatment they gave me for my symptoms healed me in the stipulated time. The staff that cares for you are the best I have ever met, from the front desk to the doctor who says goodbye to you.

I took my baby in after she struggled with a cough for 7 weeks. The PA we met with was knowledgeable, confident and kind. He was able to diagnosed my daughter quickly,and prescribed a medication that stopped the cough after 5 days of use. Im very happy that we did not end up at the hospital with worse problems. Thank you.

Prompted to do another Google review for this clinic and pleasantly surprised that my last review still applies. No edits necessary-I have had to utilize this clinic a few times over the last couple of years. Each time the experience gets better. They seem to be doing constant process improvements. Yesterday was my latest interaction. I scheduled my appointment online, showed up as instructed and I waited a short time to be seen, treated and released. Whole experience in under under a 1/2 hour. Easy peasy.

When I walk into an Urgent Care Clinic with my son who is in anaphylaxis, YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SEARCH FOR THE EPINEPHRINE!!! That is an emergency medicine that should have a specific place and ALWAYS BE IN THAT PLACE. Staff should not have to hunt through drawers and make calls to try to locate it.Patrick saw my son and was great - called an ambulance without waiting for the dust to settle.

I came in, without appointment, from the street, and was seen by a doctor within half hour. I had a problem with my eye, so after an examination the doctor explained to me what was going on and prescribed some antibiotic drops, which I was able to get from the nearby Walgreens after another hour, and to start my treatment. The staff and the doctor in this place are amazing!

I am disappointed with my recent experience at Physicians Immediate Care. Despite being told the wait time would be approximately 20-30 minutes, I ended up waiting for nearly 70 minutes before my turn. Even more frustrating was the fact that someone who arrived after me and checked in after me was seen ahead of me when it was my turn. This made me feel discriminated against and treated unfairly. It was a complete waste of my time and left me feeling extremely disappointed. I would advise others to seek care from a regular doctor instead, as the wait times are comparable and there is nothing immediate about the service provided here.My only option: Walk away and never return.

Everyone was so incredibly kind- nurse Ashley was amazing at calming my nerves for a potential scary thing and my doctor (forgot his name I’m sorry!) was so attentive and I really felt taken care of. Will def be back (well, hopefully not but if needed I will be lol)

All members of the staff treated me promptly and with respect, and they immediately understood my situation, a cat bite, and provided fast and efficient treatment. I had a very short weight. I wish they had more parking in their small lot but I found street parking easily Though it required payment.

Dr Rachel dress she was very professional shes a good listener and by the end of your checkup she made sure she explain to you everything on the top of the recovering process. Very friendly prices are very reasonable since I paid for my pocket. And special thanks to the black young lady who was with me in every step and was very professional and friendly. CVS was my first option which is disappointing. But me going to Immediate Care was the best choice.

Service with this clinic was unbelievably horrendous. I received a bill from the clinic and I paid. When I went a second time, the clinic stated that they did not receive my payment. Upon proof of documentation, the clinic agreed to see me. I just went to see the clinic because I was sick and the front desk stated that I still have to pay. I showed them that I paid the past due balance. My appointment time had passed and I asked when I would be seen. The receptionist stated “if you don’t like it here, you can go somewhere else”. The clinic then refused to see me and stated I raised my voice. The receptionist at the clinic was rude and disrespectful to me throughout the entire time today.

Loyola students go here!! So much quicker and responsive than anything on campus. The staff are so kind and keep the wait times as short as possible while also providing great care. The PA I saw was great and took care of all my concerns and the lady at the front desk was so helpful. Probably the best urgent care I’ve been to. I was in and out in under 2 hours!!

Very well run medical office. The receptionist was pleasant and efficient. I was seen right at appointment time with no delays. The Doctor was super friendly engaging. This Urgent Care is clearly a much needed addition to the neighborhood. I will certainly use it again in the future.

They were understaffed so I did have to wait a bit longer when I got there. I also made that appointment the night before, so it is already great you can potentially get in for help on short notice. I was taken very good care of and they clearly want to help you.

I had an excellent experience at Physicians Immediate Care - Edgewater, specifically with PA Patrick. The care I received was top-notch, and Patricks expertise made the diffuser splinter removal under my fingernail successful. The entire process was wonderful, and I highly recommend their services.

Absolutely the best immediate care facility ever. Through a broken toe, Covid, shoulder injury & a deep cut needing stitches, these medical professionals and staff are the very, very best. I’ve received the most thorough exams, treatments and follow up plans from the kindest, most caring professionals. I’d never go anywhere else.

Only waited about 45 minutes for a walk-in appointment. Rachel listened to all my concerns and was able to diagnose me as well as provide recommendations for how to treat some of the more severe symptoms of my case. I’m currently uninsured and for a fairly reasonable flat rate they provided a covid and flu test so I could return to work, as well as the examination.

They do not accept Medicaid, even though they are listed in the provider finder. They stated they have had multiple people tell them they are listed, but they dont seem to care about getting themselves unlisted. I uploaded a copy of my medical insurance card when I made the appointment, but they didnt bother to review it until I got there Sunday night. By that time all the other area clinics were closed. They offered to let me pay cash. What a scam.

Great experience here; the wait wasn’t very long, the staff was kind and efficient, and I received all the testing and care I needed. All my questions were answered, and I left feeling confident that my issue was taken care of.

The best urgent care experience. The PA, Patrick was thorough and quick at the same time. The MA and receptionist were very friendly too. I think I waited about 35 minutes with 4 people ahead of me, which is not too bad. They seem like they prioritize taking their time with patients over getting people in and out.

I had a great experience at Physicians Immediate Care. The check in procedure was easy and quick with pre registration. I set up an appointment time but was able to get in early.The entire staff was friendly and professional. The nurse and physicians were thorough. They listened and asked questions to give the best diagnosis and treatment plan.I would highly recommend this facility if you need immediate care.

I highly recommend going to your nearest Physicians Immediate Care, rather than the ER, if youre not feeling well. The doctors and staff there are very good at what they do, and they treat you with respect.Sincerely, Daniel.

Updating with new information — doctor aggressively insisted I had a cold, but I had flu AI’ve had a fine experience here for relatively obvious problems (like identifying a broken finger).I’ve had much better experiences at urgent cares affiliated with hospital systems. For example, a few years this urgent care failed to treat an ear infection that left me with a much more severe infection a few weeks later, being treated at a different urgent care.This time, the doctor diagnosed me with a common cold, but another urgent care successfully diagnosed me with the flu. I pushed back on the cold diagnosis because I had a high fever multiple days. When I asked how my fever fit into their diagnosis, they told me it’s normal to have a fever with a cold and became very combative. Then, they told me that I’m not currently taking an antibiotic - to demonstrate that I wasn’t “that sick” - even though I told them I am and showed them the list of medications multiple times. I showed him the list again, and he insisted that I’m not taking an antibiotic and was very argumentative. Because this was so strange, I reached out to my PCP who confirmed the first medicine on the list is indeed a common antibiotic. This obstinance was especially concerning because he could have easily prescribed me other medications that would have negatively interacted with my antibiotic.In my experience, they especially prioritize “quick” healthcare, trying to reach a diagnosis as quickly as possible while potentially missing important details. They didn’t even take my vitals.

My entire experience was excellent. I was able to reserve a time and check in online. I only waited a few minutes when I arrived. The tech that did all of my vitals was excellent. The provider that saw me was excellent. Very friendly, and thorough. I felt so comfortable and cared for. I had an issue with the prescription they gave me and they went above and beyond to get it resolved. I am 1000% satisfied with the whole experience.

Had a great experience with my appointment, but a difficult experience obtaining my test results afterwards. I followed up three days later, when I was told the results would be available, and was told that only the provider I saw would be able to give them to me, that he was not in and they did not know when he would be in again. Posting this in the hopes that I can obtain my test results.

1. Terrible customer service reps with attitudes2. If you need an X-ray, you’re probably better off going elsewhere. They have a wack system in which the radio tech is traveling and assigned to multiple locations. I had to wait 2.5 hrs for the radio tech for what was a scheduled appointment (and noted as me needing an X-ray). I can understand the traveling part, but the radio tech barely cared about her tardiness. Then later told me that she would have to email me a copy of my initial xray I requested due to it no longer being stored on site. Couple weeks later and still no email, so I called and was told by a rep that they never share images through email and that she would call me back to share how to get it. Didnt get call back so I called back next day. This rep told me radio techs DO send emails of images and she would ask tech to confirm then call me back. No call back again so I called again and she was like “oh yeah, she emailed it”The reps don’t care about calling you back when they say they will but they will give you attitude when you simply ask questions or follow up. They’re not fit for customer service roles

Kudos to the staff at this immediate care center. The receptionist was great and to the point for an expected wait time. The nurse staff and doctor were great as well. The place operated like a well oiled machine. The best immediate care center I have ever been too.

Had a great experience here. Scheduling an appointment online was super easy and didnt have to wait super long to be seen. The staff was very respectful, compassionate, and helped me with my sinus infection. The facility was bright, clean, and felt safe.

I previously rated this location five stars, but Ive gotta lower that now. The staff is always so kind and super patient, and that is wonderful. However, the admin tasks seem to be falling off. I showed up on a Sunday once because their hours online said they were still open--it was closed. My most recent visit, I very specifically asked for a prescription to be sent to a pharmacy that was not on file, but they still sent it there, anyway. These are things that should be easy to do but are out of my control, so its super frustrating.

As far as medical visits go, this was great!! All my needs were met and their attention to detail during the exam was refreshing. Katie was awesome!! She knew her stuff and was thorough. This clinic will be at the top of my list next time I need immediate care

Twice now has been here and my insurance rejected it. I have a PPO and yet insurance wouldnt pay a thing, and on top of that both times physicians immediate care charged me way more than they said they would. I would rather die bleeding in a gutter then come back here

This place provided timely, very thorough, fast and accurate medical services for me.Before I arrive I was miserable. I had a week long prolonged strong and dry cough, it had escalated to a point where it was hard to breathe. Patrick (PA) and Reyna were amazing. Both COVID & Flu tests were performed, after they were ruled out, I was provided a nebulizar treatment for the first time in my life. And I felt better. I could breathe comfortably at least. X-Rays were taken. My diagnosis was a serious respiratory infection. I was prescribed 2 antibiotics and an Albuterol pump. That night I was able to sleep in well, for the first time in a week. The second day after my visit to the clinic was feeling so much better. Cough had significantly diminished, I was breathing comfortably and I was no longer feeling miserable and afraid. I strongly recommend the Physicians Immediate Care in Edgewater in Chicago for urgent medical care. Their staff is compassionate, respectful, friendly and very patient. Very convenient location from might place as well. From now on THIS will be my clinic for any future urgent medical needs. Keep up the amazing work!

Pros: Fast! I walked in at 7pm, left with a positive diagnosis and Rx a little after 7:30pm. Everyone was very friendly.Cons: Front desk person spelled my last name and birthday wrong, which made its way onto my prescription. I caught the phone number error during check-in because I happened to be looking at her fingers, but I spelled out my name and DOB to three separate people, wrote them correctly on my registration form, gave them my insurance card, ID, and credit card... and still had a huge mixup at the pharmacy because they filled it under a Ms Kain 10 years my senior.

I’ve visited this urgent care facility twice. Both times, I was seen quickly and treated thoughtfully and compassionately.

Super easy checkin process via link provided to phone. Tech was spot on in this context compared to others I have experienced. Reasonable wait time and updates provided via phone. Patrick (doc) as well as the tech were fantastic. Wasnt sure what could be done for my situation but was really not feeling well with a horrific cold (viral). They set me up with meds I didnt anticipate or even knew was an option and Im already feeling better +1 day after visit. THANK YOU!

I got a little assistance over the phone with making an on line, same day appointment for walk-in, which helped a great deal when normally simple things are not simple when sick……Got seen in a reasonable amount of time and quickly learned I tested positive for Covid. Glad I got seen sooner rather than later and didn’t spend all day waiting in the ER.Saw same doctor a month earlier who was attentive, respectful and knowledgeable.Very happy with the service by entire staff.Thank you for changing my attitude about “doc in the box”.

The staff were caring and professional. I appreciated how Dr. Stuckey listened to my description of symptoms and took time to provide insight. My lab results came back much quicker than expected. An overall good experience for quick care.

My ear had been stopped up for weeks! As a walk in, they had me taken care of within an hour. Lovely people, will definitely be back if I need medical attention!

This is the closest immediate care facility to my home, and I’ve taken friends here a couple of times before. Then I got sick and needed help on a Saturday. I made an appointment online for later the same day and also checked in online. Very speedy and easy. As time got closer to my appointment time I got a message letting me know what the wait times were. Nice! The staff is very nice and friendly, and I felt at all times that the entire care team listened to and registered my concerns and that I was receiving very good and professional care. I highly recommend this care team.

Wow! This place was amazing. I had tried to rescue a stray kitten the night before and the sweet baby got a good bite of my finger in before heading to the vet, so 24 hours later, I noticed my finger became swollen and infected. I went into this Physicians location around 7:30 last night for help (they close at 8, so I wasn’t sure if they’d take me or not). The lady at the front desk with the curly brown hair up in a bun and adorably done edges (I believe her name was Shardonae?) told me that they were about to close and only had one doctor on staff. She asked me what I needed, I told her about my finger, and she took my info instantly. She was so kind, very competent, and got me checked in as a new patient within ten minutes.I waited in the waiting room for about 20 minutes before getting called in by a young, sweet med assistant who took my vitals. Fast forward 20 minutes and NP Huda comes in to look at my finger. She was so dope! Very informative, very thorough, very easy to talk to. She broke down exactly what was happening with the throbbing was in my finger and took all the measures to make sure this infection would be gone within the week. She ordered me a Tdap shot, antibiotic shot (in the butt holy hell), and wrote me a prescription for an oral antibiotic.The nursing assistants who physically gave me the shots were really great! They propped me when I got whoozy (I hate needles), brought me an ice pack, made the process as quick and pain-free as possible, and even gave me candy afterward. I felt so cared for by one assistant in particular (I believe her name was Reyna Bautista). She was very warm and talked to me as she held the ice pack behind my neck. As a young adult who had never been to urgent care by herself and didn’t know what to expect, she made me feel welcome and at ease. I was grateful to her.All in all, I’m so happy I trusted Physicians Immediate Care’s Edgewater location. It feels good to know there’s quality care by me that I can depend on whenever I may need it. One who accepts CountyCare Medicaid at that!!!!!Thank you staff for all you do!!! You made it the best visit it could’ve been for me!!

They are my go to for immediate medical assistance. Especially when I know i wont be able to get into my regular doctors office for at least a week. The staff here is caring, compassionate and thorough. I have gone there for animal bites, pneumonia, sprains. Etc.

The wait was long but it was part my fault I scheduled appointment for wrong date! 🤦🏻‍♀️The front desk representative was so kind and friendly. The physician thoroughly examined and explained my diagnosis. I was very pleased with her kindness and patience! ❤️

I had a good experience during my most recent visit. The physician’s assistant who met with me to assess my abdominal issue was excellent. She asked a lot of questions which reassured me that she was trying to get to the bottom of the issue. I walked in for this appointment and had to wait an hour to be seen but I did not mind at all. They require masks and hand out masks to people who walk in without one even though there is a big sign on the entrance door that states masks are required in English and Spanish. The waiting room also has chairs spaced out to accommodate distancing.

Physicians Immediate Care on Broadway in Chicago took great care of me they provided excellent and efficient service. After runny xrays and swabs which from time walked in to leaving 1 1/2 hour. My prescriptions were sent to CVS by time I went there they were ready I was so happy. Went home had soup took meds fell asleep 3 hours woke up feeling much better .Thank PIC you are amazing!!!!!Nancy R

I recently had an appointment at the Broadway physician immediate care center. I was able to make an appointment in advance, and once I got there, I probably waited for no more than 15 minutes before my name was called. The assistant/ technician and physician who attended to my needs were both friendly and professional. All of my questions and concerns were answered. The clinic also appeared to be very clean. Highly recommend this center to anyone looking for immediate care within the Edgewater area.

My daughter was seek so I went to this immediate care and they checked her very nicely and took some test. She got positive with streptococcal infection but they give very good medication to her and she recovered for all infections she is better now. I am really happy that I took her in emergency in this immediate care.Thanks to doctors!

I was helping my toddler off a stepstool and heard a pop and he immediately started crying. I didnt think much of it at first but after 30 minutes he was barely using the arm and was crying on and off. We went to PIC and took care of all the intake. It was close to end of day and thankfully there werent too many people. The intake person was super chill and kind and told me ot was most likely nursemaid elbow, which I had never heard of. She helped calm us down (kiddo was basically fine as long as he didnt have to move his arm) since I was worried Id really hurt him. Rachel came in, and 30 seconds later he was using his arm perfectly fine again. She told me how common this is and to just be more mindful and sent us on our way.

I accidentally thought i was making a same day appointment, but when i arrived the desk clerk explained it was for the following day, but that theyd still be able to see me. Everyone I encountered was extremely professional, knowledgeable, efficient, kind, listened to what a had to say, and even provided a referral. Totally worth the visit. Ive been going to Physicians Immediatel care for several years and its definitely my go to place for non life threatening health situations. :)

I met with Patrick for concerns of a finger infection as a result of repeated gel polish use. I work at a medical office and had two separate providers informally assess my fingers. They both thought I had an infection that needed to be checked out at an urgent care as soon as possible. However, I didnt mention this during my visit because I shouldnt have to in order for my concerns to be taken seriously.Patrick looked at my nails for less time than the medical assistant did. I also got the impression that he had misunderstood what led to my presenting concerns - I believe he heard the word manicure and assumed that my pain had to be surface level. It was also apparent that he was not aware of allergies and infections that can and do result from repeated gel polish use when not completed by a licensed nail tech. Even more disappointingly, he only recommended treatment interventions that I had already tried, despite me clearly communicating that my pain had only worsened since then.All of that said, I will respect his assessment and recommendations because he was my provider at this clinic. However, I will absolutely be visiting another clinic should my pain get worse.

Not only was the wait not too long for walking in, the care I received was kind and complete.The main reason I am recommending this location is because of exceptional service from Shay who was at the check in desk. During my wait time, another client was acting in a way that made others feel uncomfortable. Shay was firm, professional, and persistent in her communication to this client which ensured safety and comfort for everyone involved. It was not an easy situation and Shay’s effort is to be commended.

I was initially going to wait for my CVS Minute Clinic appointment for the next day for semi-urgent health issue, but I walked across the street and found this place - and what luck I had! I only had to wait for about 10 minutes and the sign-in process was extremely easy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, even though they were short-staffed. And the doctor was wonderful - my condition had no medication treatments, but he gave me great advice on how to treat myself at home. Will definitely be going here from now on for my urgent care needs!

The staff are competent for any issue the family has gone in for. Everyone is polite.The annoying part is the random waiting times even if you have an “appointment” you can still end up waiting an hour.

Going to this place all ended up being a waste of time, went in for a heart related issue and they told me that my electrocardiogram was abnormal so they sent me to the ER, after 12 long hrs in the er they told me that it was normal for young adult males to have a heart rhythm like mine which all ended up being due to stress, everything was good I payed no insurance had no problem up until now when I’ve received a bill from this place for $140 more and no description but “medical services” as the charge explanation when upfront that day I had payed all of it at the receptionist desk I’ll be contacting finance department i just find it ridiculous and absurd that a visit in which they did nothing but scare me to go to the ER anyways ended up costing over $380Update- it’s been a week now that I send my email from your response and no response

The staff was friendly and welcoming. Sam especially was very easy to talk to and I felt comfortable sharing why i was there and asking questions without judgment. I left feeling confident in my treatment and that I received quality care and attention.

I love them, I sometimes have to wait a bit but they are super fast once you’re back there, it not fast as in trying to get you in & out. But efficient and they LISTEN. As a POC that is really important to me.Though recently the one closest to me has been closed due to staffing. Which I know they were recently bought out, since then they’ve had staffing issues.

There are not enough words to describe the experience that I had at this office. I was a walk-in appointment just about an hour before they closed.I was seen within about 10 minutes of being there and they were not slow by any means . When you go to Physicians Immediate care you are likely going to find, that they give your own personal care physician’s- level a care, a run for their money.From start to finish in every way I was treated professionally I was treated with kindness but above all my condition was taken seriously and the follow up that I received was prompt, and informative. Above all, they did for me what my own doctors office could not - which was TREAT ME. I never thought I’d be able to say this again but it was healthcare at its finest in this little urgent care clinic.Much of my praise goes to the PA I saw there, I believe was named Samantha but everyone that I saw from the phlebotomist to reception and otherwise, were professional and diligent in their duties!I truly thank you all, wonderful experience, even if my circumstances were not. To others… GO HERE, THEY WILL TREAT AND HEAL YOU like a health practitioner should.

Sent all the way across town today by a receptionist who lied to me that a different one of their locations took my insurance. Said she called them. They were never contacted. Missed an entire work day as that ended up being the fifth urgent care that didnt take it. Downtown staff were kind but this location in particular staffs at least one really incompetent individual.

The staff at the front desk is not very friendly or polite. Working in a healthcare facility, even as a receptionist, should include compassion towards the patient because they are there for a health problem. I had an appointment and still had to wait a long time. Once I got in, the nurse administering my test wasn’t helpful or communicative with me. The test I was doing was required for work and I’ve never done it. I asked her questions and I still walked out feeling confused and having to Google what just happened. I think this staff has to work on their communication, knowledge, compassion, friendliness, empathy and consideration for their patients.

I had a very good experience here, everyone was great.

I had chest pain and went visit here. The physician took ECG and asked me to visit ER immediately. At ER, the cardiologist looked at ECG and concluded there’s no problem almost immediately. This makes me doubt the credibility of the physician at this center. My conclusion is to avoid this center for anything other than tests. No consultation.

The staff is always very kind and professionalhere. My biggest gripe is wait times. I scheduled an appointment for 3:40 but couldn’t get in until 4:05. I was told to “wait in my car until we call you.” However, I walked there. Because of previous experience I knew that it would be a while until it was my turn to go in so I just went home and waited for them to call me from there. Standing outside in 40 degree and raining weather isn’t exactly ideal when you have a fever of over 100 degrees. Still, once it comes time to interact with the staff here, it is always very positive. Despite how busy they are, they always take time to explain everything thoroughly and answer any questions. I feel lucky to have a decent urgent care clinic just steps from my home.

The lady who checked me in, insisted that my insurance was invalid, even though she heard me on the phone with the representative from my insurance company, who stated that my insurance policy is active, and my online account proved active policy. I was only able to be seen AFTER I put a credit card on file. I was too sick to leave. The doctor was very nice. I hope they resolve the issue with the insurance.

Entire staff was great! Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the process went smoothly--little wait time. I appreciate the doctor and how she listen to my issues and made sure to eliminate any serious illness by recommending we go through necessary testing. Her and the rest of the staff explained everything thoroughly. The office was super clean too.

It was a bit of a wait, but the waiting area was clean and bright and the front office staff was friendly.Once I was seen, both the intake person and the practitioner treated me like I was their only client. They gave me the attention I needed and never made me feel rushed.I was satisfied with the quality of the care as well.

This was quite possibly the worst medical experience of my entire life. Waited 2 hours to be seen and told almost nothing. Told I would get help from their referral team in further scheduling (referral team called and said “sorry, we can’t help you”). Then spoke to some of the most condescending receptionists I’ve ever interacted with who talked over me when I was trying to explain what I needed sent to my insurance company so that I could receive any further care from a different institution. Was put on hold for 10 minutes then told I would receive a call with an answer to questions later, 2 days later and still no call. If you want respectful medical care, I’d just go somewhere else this was awful.

I went to the Edgewater location this week and the service was excellent. It was quick, clean and the people were friendly. The doctor was very nice and seemed to really care and didnt rush my visit especially in the evening before they were closing. I was worried with my illness and didnt want my 2 kids at home to catch what I had. She showed compassion and wanted to make sure my youngest who is under 1yr didnt get this horrible virus I had. I was prescribed with medication that is clearly working and Im getting better everyday! Will definitely be back if needed and highly recommend this place.

Patrick took time to evaluate my cancer medication , before prescribing covid medication , on a follow up visit he again prescribed chest congestion medication that was not in conflict with my cancer medication .because of his proactive efforts , I am now considering Patrick for my primary doctors care .Thank You Patrick

My first visit to this clinic and I was impressed. Very well organized so paperwork was reasonable and instructions were clear. Co-pay was same as the University clinic I usually go to that’s much farther from where I live and gets far worse reviews.PA and Rad Tech were friendly and efficient. Surprised to hear that X-rays wouldn’t be ready for an hour because the radiologist was backed up but appreciated the heads up. After a half hour, the PA offered to phone me with the results so I didn’t have to wait any longer but just the the results came in.The facilities are clean and spacious but the whole place was cold this winters day so I just kept my coat on. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Great spot. I originally went to the minute clinic at CVS down the street on Broadway here in Chicago and was treated poorly. The representative there at the Minute Clinic was unprofessional to say the least. Right when I got there I saw a sign saying there are no appointments today so I made one for the next day. 8 hours later they sent me a text message or email saying that my appointment was canceled. I spent an hour and a half on the phone with representatives of CVS and the minute clinic and no one was able to help and they admitted that the error was on their side. The next day when I showed up for my original appointment a woman met me with a sneer saying there are no appointments today and I told her I had one and she said I would not be seen. There was only one other person in a waiting room. I talked to the CVS pharmacist and they would not help at all saying that the minute clinic was totally separate from them. Going down the block to Physicians Immediate Care I found the exact opposite of the poor welcome I got at CVS. Thank you

Rachel is amazing!! I had a very painful procedure done on Saturday and she took great care of me. Her confidence and levelheadedness was calming for me. She also gave me some advice about the issues I was having and what to do going forward. And the receptionist with blond hair (I never learned her name) was so kind!! I love this place I wish I could be friends with them, they’re so wonderful!!

This immediate care is great! They have been more helpful and validating for both my roommate and me than Northwestern walk-ins recently. They know what they are doing re: insurance and medical, and everyone is friendly. There is a bit of a wait but its because they are understaffed and also so great that everyone is there.

Nice new and clean place. Online booking is convenient and pretty accurate — only ended up waiting a few extra minutes past my same day scheduled appointment time. Staff was nice, helpful and knowledgeable. Covid precautions handled well and they even have a air filtration system built into their HVAC. Great addition to the neighborhood.

Earlier today, I made an appointment online to visit Physicians Immediate Care so that I could see someone about a finger burn. I made the earliest appointment available, for a couple of hours from the time I scheduled it, because I thought I might as well get some work done while awaiting my appointment. I received a confirmation text, registered ahead of time so the office had all necessary documentation and signatures, and arrived 15 minutes early per the site / text instructions.Ten minutes into my scheduled appointment time, I called to find out how much longer I should expect to wait - and was told it would be more than an hour. They were backed up and also needed to sanitize rooms... Okay. I can deal with 20 or even 30 minutes behind, but an HOUR? With walk-in time also clocking in at about an hour, what even was the point of making an appointment?Please just dont offer appointments if they dont matter.*****Edit in reply to owner response: Youve written the exact same thing to numerous other patients, whether theyre walk-ins who were given inadequate attention or appointments who were made to wait hours. We all understand theres a global pandemic; were over a year into this experience, and many of us have managed to adjust. Maybe instead of offering tokenist responses, you should actually evaluate your system and processes and consider how you can do better...

I have extreme symptoms and pain from COVID-19 and all they gave me was Robitussin and Tylenol and one mild prescription for my coughing which none of the three really helped. the following day my symptoms were ten times worse. I couldnt talk I couldnt drink and I could barely breathe and walk. I went and made a follow up appointment t and they never called or texted me like they said they would. When I called them 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment they said they dont have a record of my appointment even though I got a text after I made it. Please physicians immediate care you must do better then this. Also when a patient tells you they are extremely ill BELIEVE THEM

I wasnt feeling well and decided to call up this urgent care to see if they would be able to see me. They were able to fit me in and I made my way on over. I was so pleased with my service. Every person I came in contact with was just so friendly. I was in and out in 1.5 hours and they sent my prescription to my pharmacy for an easy pick up. I have had some not so pleasant experiences with health care facilitities in the past, so this experience was refreshing. I would recommend this place to anyone. Great service, friendly and KNOWLEDGABLE staff, and CLEAN facilities.

I’ve been here a few times and never had a less than excellent experience. Every single employee is kind and seems to genuinely care for your well-being. They always call to follow up and check in. I enjoy going here more than any actual practitioner’s office I’ve ever been to.

I went there with swollen face. As I know I dont have allergy to anything. I got enjection and pills there ,my swollen face got better. They kept me there for another half hour to see If everthings fine. My physician was Vina Maria Maniquis. Thanks again

I have been to this location about 3 times in the last year and a half. I have been impressed with them for a few different reasons:1) the facility is always VERY clean.2) the staff there are so friendly. And they always follow up with a phone call after your visit to see how you are doing.3) Dr, Hughes is awesome. Very knowledgable and has a great sense of humor and very personable.4) I usually book on line, so the wait is next to nothing. I went in recently as a walk- in and only had to wait about 5 minutes.I highly recommend these guys!!!

Always great same day service and experience for me whenever I have something simple that cannot wait for a PCP. The scheduling portal makes sure the time spent here is absolutely minimal. All the practitioners here have been awesome.

I visited Edgewater yesterday. A fast closing door had slammed on my finger and I wasn’t in very good shape. I called the facility to see what the protocols were during the pandemic; meaning, do I wait outside? Inside? I was able to wait inside and I felt very safe because they have a very large waiting room and the chairs were spaced apart well. People wore their masks.Everyone who worked there did a great job for me. Check in was easy, I had to wait about an hour to be seen, which was normal or even less considering these days with COVID.I felt seen and heard and I was treated very well. I got x-rays, my wound cleaned, sutured, and then I was given discharge instructions. The whole thing took about two hours.I definitely recommend this facility if you are in need of immediate care. I could have made an appointment online and maybe my wait would have been less time, but I wasn’t feeling well after my accident and I didn’t think to make an appointment, so I was a walk in. In any event, if you’re in the area and need urgent care, Edgewater is good.

I went to this location as it had the best reviews near my home. The staff is super friendly and the doctors as well.They listen very well and if I could I would prefer they be my PCP rather than my current provider.

My daughter woke up on a Sunday with her first ear infection. Thankfully we were able to make an online appointment at Physicians Immediate Care. We didn’t have to wait long and Samantha Stuckley was incredible with my very anxious daughter.

Overall, a great experience from both substantive medical and efficiency perspectives. The intake nurse who took vitals, doctor, and radiology technician who saw me were all very knowledgeable and warm/kind in their approach. The front desk staff, though, was very cold and unconcerned about my injury, asking me to fill out paperwork standing up at their desk, despite being in extreme pain in my ankle. They even gave me attitude about me propping up my foot in order to alleviate the swelling and throbbing from my injury while I waited to be seen. I’d definitely go back as well as recommend the facility to others, though, because the medical professionals behind the wall definitely knew what they were doing on all fronts, despite the reception staff’s glaring lack of bedside manner.

It was my first time here and I was very pleased with my visit! Every staff member I interacted with was friendly, professional, and very helpful. Dr. Stuckey was great and goes above and beyond what a doctor should be like. Very thorough with explaining my diagnosis, the treatment plan, medications, and the instructions for the medications. The price for my visit was reasonable for someone paying out of pocket. The ER would have cost me way more. I wish primary care was offered here like the other two locations in the city. Definitely a more better experience than the clinic I go to for my primary care doctor!

BEFORE:: I attempted to register online with my PC. However, the instructions simply dont work. (They are for use with a mobile device.)ARRIVAL: Entry area is separated well, but the signs are mixed up and confusing. I managed to figure out what to do, but watched some others lost for minutes in a 6 X 6 antechamber, not knowing what to do, nor how to contact anyone inside the locked door.INSIDE: Waited 1/2 hour, almost alone, in the waiting room, until 15 mins past my appointment time.TREATMENT(Flu shot): I completely forgot to ask for the Senior flu shot, which I need (Im 85.) The nurse did not ask me which I wanted, either, so I will now have to find out which I got, and if I can get the stronger one, without having to pay the much larger cost. She had great technique. I did not even feel the needle go in.SUMMARY: So, Physicians Immediate Care is a very nice, clean place, with nice people. They do a good job. Altogether, like many medical places, they need to clean up their communications, and then I would likely give them 5 stars.POST-SUMMARY: I found that the nurse actually did give me the Senior Flu Shot, for which I was happy. I wish that they would automatically send the report to my PCP at Northwestern Memorial, but did not expect them to. With a few speedups and better communications, they will easily be 5 stars.

Everyone is great in this place, except for the receptionist that was very unprofessional. I was having issues with my insurance because of her mistake. I had to wait for 3 hours and she did not even apologize. Also had the audacity to blame me for filling out the form wrong when she was the one who did not enter the insurance information correctly. I would only come back to this place if they replace their receptionist with someone who values professionalism and will be glad to actually help you.

Great experience with Physicians Immediate Care. My son needed a Covid test before he could return to school and they make it a seamless experience. I was able to pre-register online and we were in and out when it is was time for our appointment. The staff was very friendly and efficient.

The staff is extraordinarily compassionate and professional. I met with Sam to address a lower back issue. She was efficient and kind, as were the nurses I had the pleasure of working with.

The PA I saw was great. She was personable and took great interest in making sure whatever I did for my cold was also safe for my pregnancy. I was lucky enough to have no wait when I got to the clinic, so I was in and out quickly. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly and professional. I had a very good experience and I would definitely use this clinic again in the future.

I came down with covid19, and was getting worse quickly.Physicians Immediate Care helped carefully evaluate my case, determined that I am ok to take paxlovid, and called a script into my pharmacy.

Came in with medical concerns. I didn’t have to wait very long, the provider was kind and personable, and the testing was thorough. The only reason I’m leaving four stars instead of five is because, after an ECG, they said I should go to the ER. I know they were being thorough, but I later confirmed with my family doctor that the ECG didn’t reflect anything dangerous but that I should see a cardiologist.Anyway, I appreciate this medical concern being brought to my attention, but I found the suggestion to go to the ER excessive.

I made an appointment online and only spent about 5 minutes in the waiting room before I was taken into an examination room. The nurse who checked me in was very nice and professional. Amanda Miller was the Doctor that did my examination and she was very sweet and extremely personable. I would definitely go to this urgent care again in the future!

This place is a joke with their hours . Came yesterday and they had a handwritten sign stating they aren’t open until noon. Call today and the staff member couldn’t give me an honest answer just that “we will open when the staff gets here”These are terrible answers when dealing with sick people. You need to have a time ready to treat patients and not toss around vague responses in order to get people to leave.

Dr. Alyse Uhler was perfect! She answered all my questions quite thoroughly, as well as listened to all my concerns. Could not have asked for a better professional doctor and personable human being. She is wonderful/amazing/the best!!!Same applies to those that checked me in, as well as the nurse. Also, I appreciate the follow-up that was done. A very positive experience on all fronts!

I am new to the area and had some health concerns that I wanted to address asap. Every staff member that I interacted with here was so kind and welcoming. The doctor was very thorough and ran multiple tests to help narrow down a diagnosis. Even though they were super busy, my visit did not feel rushed at all. They also referred me to a specialist and made sure to follow up to help me set up that visit. I feel much more relieved now that I’ve been checked out and have next steps for my care. I highly recommend using PIC if you are looking for an urgent care.

I came in with a bad cat bite onmy hand, on a Saturday and my experience was very pleasant. The nurse that looked at me first was super bubbly and she gave me two extremely pain free shots, I honestly couldn’t believe it and the doctor was very knowledgeable and quick to see me. I was in and out of there in an hour. Place is very very clean hand sanitizer everywhere I felt very safe and taken care of. Thank you

I ended up going to this location after a experiencing an injury that left me sidelined and off work for 6 weeks. As a workers comp injury, the staff knew exactly what to do, what paperwork I needed to fill out and who to send it to. Everyone was professional and made me feel comfortable with the process and guided me through every step so that I understand. The radiologists were great with the x-rays and made the process so simple and Dr. Hughes provides superb service and had me come in weekly to check on my progress and improvement while I was off work. He never pressured me to go further than I was capable and listened to all my concerns. So far, this is a great location with excellent staffing and streamlined care. They saved me an unnecessary trip to the emergency room. Id gladly go again or recommend.

Great team of providers! I was seen quickly and the practicioners are thorough. Dr. Patel is very helpful and reassuring. Will definitely visit again if I can not get in to see my PCP.

Great experience. The facility was clean & welcoming. The people were attentive and kind. I was seen promptly without much of a wait. The x-ray tech was fantastic & explained the steps as he was doing x-rays, very communicative. The doc went over everything, checked me out thoroughly, and although he gave me news I didnt want (arthritis yay, Im officially old!), he was great & informative. Definitely a good experience and I would come back here again (although hoping I dont need to!) and recommend others to this location.Parking in back was minimal and I very almost got boxed in by another patients car but thats not the facilitys fault. Additional parking would be great but it worked fine for me for a morning right-when-they-open visit.

Stopped by to get about 20 stitches out. The staff was very nice, quick and efficient. My doctor could not have been any better and helpful. I am not one that typically leaves reviews, but the entire staff was so wonderful I had to give them props. I would definitely recommend!

The staff and facilities are phenomenal. Prompt, polite, and helpful. They take their time to make sure all your concerns are addressed and follow up with you to make sure you’re okay afterward. My family and I are thankful they’re so close by for our urgent care needs.

Unfortunately, my first visit to the Edgewater location of Physicians Immediate Care will also be my last. I have never written a bad review in my life and am hesitant to do so, but my poor experience here urged me to write this. For some brief context, I visited one evening for an ear infection. There was no wait and the staff who checked me in were kind and welcoming, however, I was very disappointed in the lack of patience, care, or general concern shown by Dr. Hughes. He was curt and honestly seemed annoyed throughout my entire short visit, for no apparent reason.He did not explain anything to me about my condition or ask questions to elicit more information or make me feel that I was listened to or could be comfortable asking him questions. Despite this, I mentioned a few of the symptoms I had been having - to absolutely no response from him. He roughly swabbed my ear then quickly prescribed a medication with no explanation of what it was, how it would work, or chance for me to ask questions about it.The care center sent an automated text after my visit asking to rate my experience. When I left a poor score, I received an e-mail from the quality control team saying they would follow-up with me shortly. This never happened. Regardless, I e-mailed back with details about my experience and three weeks later have still not heard from them. After having such a bad experience, I came here to see what others had to say about the center and was upset to see that so many other people had written about Dr. Hughes in particular and his lack of courtesy or a proper bedside manner.It is very possible that other physicians and clinical staff at the center are wonderful, but because of my experience with Dr. Hughes - I will not be returning and urge others to go elsewhere as well. It shocks me that they have allowed him to continue like this.

The staff were friendly and VERY thorough in their intake. They were open to any questions I had and I was able to talk to a licensed practitioner (Sam is great!). I was in and out within an hour and was able to get the antibiotics I needed within 30 minutes of my visit.

Be careful here. I just spoke to the head physician after a faulty diagnosis who kept speaking over me, gaslit me and at one point when I suggested his ego was showing literally said: “Your right. It is about my ego. i dont care about my patients.” Backstory: I was sent unnecessarily to the ER due to an simple dry eye issue after the doctor who was examining me texted a picture of my eyes to this head physician who diagnosed me to the ER via text because one of my pupils was dilated even though I reported putting eye drops in that eye. Since I had to get my daughter, I was reluctant but the doctor said it was very serious and said I needed to go as soon as possible. Once I got to the ER, they quickly examined me and said they were surprised that I was sent to the ER. That it was an over abundance of caution from this clinic and my visit wasnt necessary. They prescribed me over the counter lubricating drops. So I could have gone straight from my home to the CVS! Upon talking to the clinic staff after that experience, they all were very surprised that I was diagnosed via a text picture and sent to the ER. They waived my clinic bill and said they would have the head doctor call me to discuss my experience. This doctor who called me this morning kept interrupting me, talking over me, gaslit me when I said that the other staff and ER doctors were also surprised this happen to me I got frustrated and said it sounded like his ego was talking and that he wasnt even acknowledging my poor experience and the great er debt he caused me that I think they should be liable to pay on my behalf. He said that I’m right that it is all about his ego and he doesnt care about his patients. He also said that it is a litigious world and he has to be careful. He also said they make text diagnosis all the time in direct negation of what the rest of the clinic staff told me. The ER doctors also said that had they spent a little more time with me and had done even a simple neurological exam that my visit would not have been necessary. So, take this under advisement that the lead physician admits that they diagnosis via text, that they make medical care decisions based on the possibility of lawsuits to cover themselves, that he doesnt care what his staff has to say about these practices, that it was un collegiate of the er doctors to show surprise in his sending me there and that it IS all about his ego and he doesnt care about his patients.

Everything from booking the appointment to registration to the quality of care was excellent. Especially impressive were their diagnostic skills. I did end up being transferred to the ER (with expertly prepared transfer paperwork) but in the end all was well and I’m so grateful I chose this location.

With what weve been through for the past 2 years, seem we have not make changes. I was expecting less contact. But had to fill a paper document on a clip board. (Im already in the data base). I waited for almost 30 minutes in examination room. I was about to leave could not wait. But gave them a chance by coming out and ask if I was forgotten. Note it did not look like a busy day. I was acknowledged and finally seen. Location is in my neighborhood. Not sure if PIC will be my first choice the next time

In and out for our first visit in less than 20 minutes, including the paper work! Easy to schedule on-line, and open 7 days a week. Everyone was super nice and the facility was clean. The doctor was quick and to-the-point, which is something I look for in an immediate care office. Ultimately, they made an experience everyone hates a ton better! Thank you Physicians Immediate Care

The lobby and rooms were very clean, and the staff were all very nice. I was seen quicker than I expected, and my doctor was very patient and took her time explaining everything to me. Anytime I need to go to an urgent care in the future, I’ll come here.

I have visited several times either for myself or for my children. It is always a neat and orderly experience, the facilities are clean, the staff is friendly, and they take the time to answer any and all questions that I have. I will definitely return. Some of the things they can do sheer are less expensive and more readily available then threw my primary care physician.

Ive visited this location four times. If you get there in the morning, waits are short or non-existent--last time I visited, I barely had a chance to sit down before I got called back. Waits are longer in the afternoon, but not terrible, and better if you prebook online. Staff is pleasant and professional, facility is clean and well-supplied. As long as youre going for an appropriate reason (if you have chest pains, go to the ER! but if you sprained your ankle, immediate care is fine), you should have a good visit.

I was able to make an appointment so I didn’t sit in an ER waiting room for hours waiting to see a Dr. The experience was great. Sam explained what was causing my problem and listened while I asked questions. She was excellent. I would highly recommend Physicians Immediate Care.

Excellent care from the entire staff, and moved along at a steady pace. Everyone was courteous and helpful, including loaning me a charger for my phone. I felt my 9 year old daughter was well cared for.

I went to the clinic very early in the morning and I had a very short wait. it was a cinch to get registered and, when I went into the exam room they took very good care of me. I don’t wanna go into the details of what was wrong with me but the physician assistant was very knowledgeable and very helpful, and my health issue is clearing up very nicely with the prescription she gave me.

I had to see a doctor to check on my rib cage because it is hurting really bad when I bent over to walk the dog two days ago. I went to see a doctor at your clinic and went ahead to register so I don’t have to wait and select a time slot of 6:20 PM . A registered online an hour before my timeslot uploaded my drivers license filled out the E form but there was a problem uploading my health insurance card and I tried several times while driving which is dangerous to upload the file but I was unsuccessful . I decided to just present my health insurance card to the patient care representative on the front desk and she did not except it she wanted me to do it online and it was successful after one try maybe because I wasn’t in a moving vehicle while uploading the file . I was able to fulfill all that ahead of time before the reserved time. Then I have to wait 20 more minutes I was in pain and couldn’t wait because I was very tired and your patient care representative seems to be unfriendly and wouldn’t even engage Indirect eye contact with me and told me to just wait.Your front desk people need training in terms of being ready to serve and have a smile on their faces when they engage with a patient because the reason why patients are going to your place it’s because they’re not feeling well they don’t offer empathy or sympathy at all and will not even do anything to help out to expedite what I need to do so I went ahead and canceled the appointment I don’t need to pay A bad service. I will never go to your clinic again in this location

I went here for a Covid test after having a horrible sore throat for 3 days. I appreciate that they had evening hours available, and making an appointment online was super quick and easy. Parking lot is very limited, so dont count on parking there - but the neighborhood is nice and fairly easy to find a spot on a nearby street. Everyone I interacted with here was kind and compassionate. I was in and out the door in under an hour, test results included. They offered me a strep test as well to actually get to the bottom of my symptoms, not just perform a perfunctory Covid test (I had been expecting to have to make a follow-up appointment to test for other infections after Covid had been ruled out, but was relieved to have it all done in the same appointment). I felt that they were thorough and really cared about getting me feeling better, even at the late hour that I was there, and Ive gotten several follow-up messages from them since then to see how Im doing. 11/10 would recommend for immediate care and/or Covid testing.

Great place to get a COVID booster shot. I was lucky enough to find an open slot on the schedule for a shot the next day, and it was a friendly and efficient experience with just a short wait and no hassle. I hadnt been able to find a slot at a pharmacy in time for a trip next week, and I didnt want to put it off until after the trip. Im boosted, no side effects, and glad I went and got it done yesterday.

I have COPD and went to you because I tested positive for covid at home. I was ignored by receptionist Glenda until I told her I felt uncomfortable putting other patients at risk. She told me I could go outside and sit on the street, or just leave. She didnt care at all. After waiting nearly a half hour outside they ran a covid test which was positive. I asked for the antiviral meds they had given my husband tge day before and they refused. By the time I can see my doctor it will be too late. Im very upset and will tell everyone I know that your business cant be trusted.

The PA we worked with had the most wonderful bedside manner. My husband and I asked a ton of questions that Im sure shes heard a million times, but we never felt rushed. She also listened very carefully to me when I was describing symptoms and made me feel very heard. Im still getting over this sickness (flu, we think), but Im so thankful that I went to see her and know Ill feel better soon! Will definitely return again for future urgent care needs.

Very kind, courteous, efficient staff. I was one of the last appointments, and was there past their closing time. Hopefully I won’t need to go back, but I know I’m in great hands if I do. Best immediate care I’ve ever been to, hands down.

I went there on Sunday 5-21-2023... Sick... Couldnt breath bacterial infection built up... Told me 2-3 hour wait... So I left went to Walgreens for paltative care purchases... Today 5-24-2023 went back after online appointment I made at 5am... They told me I have an outstanding bill of 173$... Ugh. I told them I contacted the corporation with my insurance info and paid my co pay.. all the while I heard laughing and conversations in the back area... I left... Never go to this place... Please never... Im So sorry to have to admit this since I am a retired nurse... Just go somewhere else

I had an amazing experience here. The ladies at the front desk were quick and I was in and out in less than an hour. I really appreciate the cleanliness and professionalism of the entire staff. The PA I saw was amazing and caring. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Thanks again.

About 3 weeks ago I stepped on the bottom of a broken glass bottle in the water at Montrose beach. I immediately realized it needed stitches. I went to physician’s immediate care on Broadway and only had to wait about 5 minutes. The medical assistant cleaned my wound thoroughly and was very helpful and friendly. The physician’s assistant then came in a began to suture my wound closed. He did 7 sutures in all and bandaged it nicely. I was prescribed an antibiotic and was told to come back in 2 days to check if there were any signs of infection. Luckily the wound began to heal nicely and the antibiotics worked at fighting off any bacteria. I had the stitches removed about a week after the incident and they did not charge to remove them. I continued to bandage with dressings for the next two weeks. My wound is completely healed now due to the staff at PIC Edgewater. They were extremely professional, had great bed side manor and were very quick to treat my laceration. Had I waited any longer I feel as though my wound might have been worse. I recommend PIC Edgewater to anyone with a minor injury and needs immediate care!

The Doctor was very caring & attentive. She really listened to my concerns. Finally she came up with a solution after testing. This is not my first experience with this clinic. I wish Dr. Samantha could be my regular doctor. Shes really good. I would recommend anyone to go there.

Physicians immediate care is a great way to get qualified medical attention with a great staff at minimal cost. I’ve been utilizing this service as an alternative to a Dr’s. Office visit and I haven’t been disappointed yet. The facilities are clean, the staff is always polite and knowledgeable and they accept walk-ins with short wait times. They’ll also advise you when you’re in need of more advanced treatment not within their scope. All in all my only disappointment is why it took so long for someone to think of this.

Ive been to the Physicians Immediate Care a few times now, mostly for Covid testing but for a few other things as well. The doctors/ PAs here are always incredibly kind and helpful. They always explain things well and have a lot of empathy. You can sign up for an appointment ahead of time and wait times are usually not too long. I always choose to go here first when I have an immediate health concern.

I visited this place yesterday in unbearable pain from a bartholin cyst that I had for 5 days. I walked in waddling and left skipping for freaking JOY! It was drained and no meds were needed. It was first time I ever had a male doctor in my life and he was very professional. They made me feel calm and the problem was resolved within an hour! Highly recommend 😊

I used this clinic twice for COVID tests that were required by my doctor pre-surgery. Both times I reserved a time and filled out my paperwork in advance. I was seen exactly at the time I reserved and was handed a hard copy of my results within 15 minutes. If you prefer walk-ins, the website says when the busiest times are. Could not be easier!

I stopped by with an injured foot, in pain, and a podiatrists appointment a month away. I was seen promptly, attended to thoughtfully and considerately, given appropriate short term treatment. I am very pleased. I recommend this facility highly.

I arrived in Chicago from Asia a few days ago with a knockout head cold and sinus infection. The next day I visited this Physicians Immediate Care clinic on N Broadway in Edgewater and had a 5-star experience. Sign-in was quick, my wait was short, and the admin staff, nurses and doctor were all super and very helpful. Im feeling much better now after getting some great care and appropriate medications. I highly recommend this clinic.

All of the nurses were amazing! They saw me kn less than 30 minutes and were so helpful. I hate going to the doctors but they made me feel at ease. nothing but amazing things to say about the staff here

Very safe, covid-concious place. Everyone was helpful and thorough. I came in for a vasectomy complication and got an appointment for 45mins after I called. They were very professional and chill about it, probably the least stressful healthcare-genitalia interaction that Ive ever had. In the future Im going to try to use them instead of my universitys urgent care centers whenever something comes up.

EDIT: after about a month they called me back, and I was able to work with their customer service to reverse the additional charge. They were pretty responsive and understanding at this stage which was nice.Price was $165 for the care I needed on the website. I was pretty confident my insurance lasped but they said they could try to charge my insurance anyway. Turns out I was right and my insurance was no longer active but then I got billed $230. An additional $70 because they didnt explain if my insurance wasnt active the price would change. Customer service kept saying I didnt understand, it was explained and I didnt hear it, and there was nothing they can do. Profiting off of omitting information, solid business plan that I wont be returning to.

My dad was sent there from one of Minute Clinics to get a COVID test and a chest X-Ray due to persisting cough. We spent over 2 hours inside even with the appointment.They told us on the phone the full price is going to be $230, yet at the end we were charged $305. They said its because they forgot to include the cost of the COVID test.The staff is pretty nice, except a guy at the front desk who has a terrible attitude towards people. Surprisingly he was the only person there not wearing a name tag.

Ive had nothing but great experiences here up until my most recent visit. I came on a Tuesday afternoon and it wasnt busy at all. I was seen immediately but it seems they wanted me out immediately as well.Perry, a PA, didnt check my chart because Im allergic to penicillin and he prescribed me amoxicillin. On top of that, I told him my pharmacy is the CVS on Sheridan but sent my prescription to a different location. He dismissed it and said, I can bring the written script. Now I have to act as an intermediary between physicians and the pharmacist when all I wanted was to fill a prescription.When I wanted to correct my prescription a provider wasnt available Diane rudely tried to get off the line when I still had a question. The number they provide you on the discharge papers takes you to a menu of options as opposed to the front desk person at the clinic. Fair enough but if you want to speak to someone from the clinic there isnt an actual direct option other than 0. From there you get directed to an operator that will redirect you to the front desk person. I explained this to Diane who didnt seem to know what I was talking about and gave me haphazard response to just press 9. OK.
