Planned Parenthood - Detroit Health Center

If you were possible hoping to be seen at your scheduled time, dont expect to be seen for AT LEAST another hour or so. Just be sure not to interrupt the ladies up front who are watching Netflix, unless you want to be rudely informed that you just need to wait longer. Since Google forces you to leave one star, the woman who saw me (an hour and twenty minutes after my appointment time) was very sweet. Sadly her great bedside manners didnt save this experience for me.

Convenient location but not the best service.The wait time is ridiculous... Id rather drive a little further to the Ferndale location. I never deal with any issues going there, in & out and the parking is free.

Honestly love this location so much! I came in for some blood to be drawn and everyone was so sweet and kind. Minus the fact that i almost passed out from a needle but that’s on me lol. I was able to get in a bit earlier than my original time so that was a plus for me but other than that everyone was wonderful. i recommend here

Very kind/friendly staff but to wait over an hour and a half past your appointment time is completely unacceptable and unprofessional to say the least.

I have had nothing but problems at this location. They never honor your appointment time. Always a 2 hour wait to pick up a prescription. Very unprofessional and they never seem to know what is going on. Just switched to the Ferndale location and it was a much more pleasant experience.

Went here for my first time to get my birth control after it was harder to book an appt with my regular Doc and I can honestly say that I had a pleasant experience. Everyone was friendly and they got me in and out pretty fast. I also got sent home with more info on my shot than I had at my regular visits with my general doc.

First time ever going to a planned parenthood location & I won’t have the need to return. I originally had my appointment scheduled for Livonia but this location had a early date & time avail. Somewhat of a easy location to find & parking wasn’t too bad. My appointment started about 20 ish mins late even though I showed up on time ( right when they opened, apt was set for 8:20). I personally think they want to know way too much info , like how much income I bring in. Why does that matter or relate to what my appointment is for? Doctor removed my implant, took her a few to hold onto it in order to remove it. Accidentally hit my bone in the process due to where the Implant was located, which caused my hand to numb up for a few seconds. Not a fun feeling let me tell you hah. I did however get the other birth control in with no problem.

Just wanted an ultrasound to make sure there was a baby and not just the sack and they apparently don’t do that. It’s planned parenthood and they care more about killing a child than finding out if there actually is one. Should be labeled as an abortion clinic.

I had a birth control appointment scheduled for 9:30. I called them before to make sure everything was fine. THEY DONT PICK UP THE PHONE. And google has the wrong opening time. So I guessed that they weren’t open. Came when google said they opened and she wouldn’t even help me reschedule. She was nonchalant about the conversation and ready to hang up. I DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE WITH MY UTERUS. With that lack patient concern

Went today for an STI screening and exam. Both the individual that did my blood pressure/draw and the doctor that saw me were absolutely excellent and I was in and out quickly even though I had a fair amount of questions to ask in addition to the information they provided me.Thank you Dr. S for helping to bring a little levity to what would usually be a bit of a stressful visit. Not as nuts as one might assume.

Been coming here for 2 years now, very helpful staff and you can always ask any questions when you call over the phone. If you have insurance, you can use your insurance card to pay for all procedures, pills, shots and any other medical requests. It you dont have insurance, they will let you know the prices of each option before you continue to be a patient or request any medications.It is always confidential, so you dont have to worry about anyone knowing, anything expect you and the doctor you visited.Very helpful place, and always protecting safe sex and tips!

WORST LOCATION EVER!!!!I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND MY DOG TO THIS LOCATION. GO TO ANOTHER LOCATION!!!!VERY UNPROFESSIONAL SMH!!!! IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE ONE, I WOULD. ONE STAR IS BEING NICE!!!!

Ive been going here since I was 16, and Im now 22. I have never had a problem with any of the staff and I have always felt comfortable with my birth control options Ive chosen since going here. The ladies here never made me feel like I was being judged or anything. Thank You PPH💙

I’ve been to the Ferndale and warren location and have never experienced a long wait like I have here. Staff is unprofessional, I can literally hear the staff members gossiping and talking about their personal lives in the hallway like they have nothing to do but I’ve been waiting over an hour.

Never had a problem with going here been on birthcontrol since i had my child the staff very nice makes me feel very comfortable with getting the depo shots

I love this clinic, I been going here for 2 years for my depo shot... There fast and ,they tell you alot if information about what birth control you are getting, which some people dont know about there clinic isnt telling them I just spreed the knowledge I know which planned parent hood has taught me

Just so rude to the patients for what reason tho. And they never honor apt time.

Great business overall but this location doesnt have enough employees to compensate for the long wait, took over 3 hours to finally see someone and they wanted me to wait another 2 hours to fill my perception!

One of the worse locations to every go to staff is nonchalant my appointment was at 10:30 I waited 2 hours before I just left DO NOT GO HERE GO TO FERNDALE LOCATION

There was a bit of a wait but the staff was very kind and professional.

I tried to call both locations for a appointment they never answered the phone terrible!
