Not sure if the doctor was having a bad day or she simply didnt like me, but I had a very negative experience with Dr. Sowby. She seemed very offended that I got a second opinion from a different doctor - when I was just trying to do whats best for my health. She blatantly said I dont know what to tell you when I asked whats the best course of action for my condition. Very rude and pushy to send me medication (when she barely asked any questions) instead of listening to her patient. If you want a doctor who will make you feel heard and understood, shes not it.

Dr Sowby was great the first visit and seems very nice, warm and effective. The office however is very disorganized and mis managed. After having sent 4 emails, 3 texts and 2 live phone calls to confirm that I would be there on time, when I arrived for my annual appointment, I waited an hour without comment. Then, when I asked how long it would be, I was told I am probably next. But they took two more patients before me. When I asked if I should reschedule she said your next. They quickly put me in a room took my info and said the doctor will be right in however, I waited another 30 minutes with no interaction. At that point and after more than an hour and a half of waiting, I put my clothes back on, walked to reception and asked to reschedule because I had to go to work. As I waited to do this, Dr. Sowby continued to move from room to room seeing other patients. If the office knew that they had 9 people scheduled at the same time, and that I would have a 2 hour wait time why didnt they- in one of their 8 confirmations- offer to move my appointment to a later time. I feel like they are just taking appointments to be busy and not to provide a decent service to their patience. Consider how much time you have for an appointment before you choose this facility. I have found another one.

Dr. Taralyn Sowby is absolutely fantastic!! Her level of professionalism, attention to detail and overall care have made me a loyal client. Under her care and guidance I’ve seen drastic improvement in my skin. The overall staff is also very welcoming, fast and well-organized. I highly recommend this office if you’re looking for a dermatologist!

Excellent doctor, very humane and loving with her patients, she takes the time to understand each ones situation. She and Dr. Emery Salom make an excellent team. Wholeheartedly grateful to both of them for the surgery they performed on me.
