Please do everything you can to make sure your loved one does not attend this facility. This is the most disheveled organization, not just rehab or medical facility, that I have ever had the displeasure of coming across. No one knows what anyone needs to do. Their favorite thing is to kick the can down the road to the next person or day, and even then nothing gets done. They will make it impossible to contact anyone with any knowledge of their processes. It is inhumane that this facility is still open and I hope the city of Jacksonville rethinks any commitment they have with the River Regions chain of companies.I will be contacting every relevant person Jacksonville that will entertain a conversation and make sure they know that this organization is as unprofessional and unsophisticated as a business/service can be.

It is impossible to get a hold of anyone at this facility, and my voice messages are rarely returned. The young lady who is charge of my case is extremely unprofessional and very difficult to communicate with. 2 times I showed for my appointment- the first time, the lady I was scheduled to meet with wasnt present and they told me I would have to reschedule (would have been nice to know before making the drive there). Showed for an appointment weeks later and the entire facility was closed, again no notification to reschedule my appointment. They do not care about their patients. If youre able to choose elsewhere, I would.

Most UNPROFESSIONAL “doctors office” I’ve ever been to! Majority of them don’t even know what they are doing , they could hire bums off the street and they would do a better job. Don’t get me wrong, there are a FEW people there that are great and knowledgeable but the rest of them are a joke. First off the ladies that “check you in” don’t even know how much you’re suppose to pay or who you are supposed to see that day they have to call like three other people in the office to get the correct answer. And then they schedule you for a certain day and you come in on the day they scheduled you for just for them to tell you “we don’t have you on our calendar “ or “everyone has left for the day” Seriously?!? They are the ones who scheduled my appointment in the first place and you’re telling me that I’m not on the books?!? Not only that but these “psychiatrists” don’t know what they are doing either I had to get a mental health evaluation done for court and literally had to get it done THREE different times because the first two times they didn’t do it right! And not to mention the doctors/nurses whatever they are are constantly leaving and new ones coming in. I have been a patient there for two years now going once a month and almost every time I go I see someone new cause the person before them left!! Even the ones who answer the phone have no clue what to do or how to do it! Shoot I could do their job for them at this point. And if there’s a problem the only way you can get it fixed is by literally demanding them to fix it they are rude and look and treat their patients like they are so much better than them. I do not recommend this garbage hole to nobody, not even a crack head. The worse you are the worse they treat you! So many people including myself go to this place for “help” yet they don’t want to actually help you they just want to collect their money and send you on your way!!!

They will consultant you with an attitude. I had to reread what they offer, everyone I spoke with had a demeanor of Im here for a check . No client ; especially the field they cater to, should feel that way. Thank God, He took the wheel cause faith in their hands will be a disappointment. Dont want to speak about the counselors, whew chile. Attitude was nasty and we didnt even meet smh Hopefully this is just my opinion but I write this experience as a 1.5 out of 10.

Im 25 weeks Pregnant and was denied dosage said I got in the clinic too late but there was still two people AFTER me in line they dosed , thankfully switching clinics . They make up rules as they go , to make you wrong. They pick and choose who are their favorites , and bend the rules for those certain people . You go here for help and they make you want to just go to the drug mans house instead . In all honesty. Their response is Oh you can go one day without it . You can tell they have never been addicted to any kind of drug before !!!!!!!

Methadone can truly save your life. If youre ready to change and stop the endless cycle of opioid abuse it will take away all the painstaking withdrawal away. My husband and I have been clean 2 years and we had our confidence, self worth and pride back after a long time of being ashamed and barely living. River Region will help you. We just got transferred to the Orange Park office and it fast, convenient and were very happy with the service.

I went to this place for 3 years. There were always problems. But what made me leave was when i realized it was all about the money and not the client. I was pregnant and worked 50 plus hours a week overnight shifts and they made it mandatory to take a Parenting class thatd id ALREADY TAKEN with my previous pregnancy. Not only had i already taken it i completed the whole 3 month course and graduated. When i told them that they said its mandatory for every pregnancy. So i had to work a 10 hour shift from 9 pm to 7 am then come in at 8 am to 10 am for a 2 hour parenting class i had already did. And in the class we never had anything to do. It wasnt even ABOUT PARENTING. We would just talk for two hours. Then i realized every class you sit in they bill your medicaid for it. Thats all it was about. Not to mention i had a new counselor every couple of months so just when i start to get comfortable with your counselor they leave and you get a new one so i stopped talking to them because it was pointless. And if you were a phase 0 or phase 1 they wanted you to do do 2 groups a week and see your counselor twice a week for 30 minute sessions. When you work as much as i did that was impossible and i took a cab there everyday i would be left for hours because they couldnt wait on me outside for 30 minutes and counselors didnt care. I also had clean drug screens for over 6 months and was still at a phase 0 because they wanted me to take a HIV class that id taken THREE times before ( just to bill my medicaid) and a methadone 411 class that id also taken numerous times and the classes were at 7:15 a.m and i didnt get off of work until 7 a.m so i could never make it to the classes on time to phase up. All in All this ppace is HORRIBLE. Go somewhere elseI recommend any other clinic except this one.

I was impressed with how friendly everyone was that I came into contact with. I’m serious; everyone had a smile on their face. My counselor was attentive, supportive, understanding and caring. I was given an opportunity to improve my life with help.

I have been a sufferer of panic disorder, agoraphobia and hypochondriasis since March of 1999. After 5 years of therapy (CBT) and medication management at another facility, I contacted River Region. They assured me I would be able to see a psychiatrist and receive mental health services as well as group therapy for my social phobia and history of childhood abuse. I’m pretty socially inept/introverted, so I was open to anything that would possibly help me to get back out into society and do my part.To my surprise, as soon as I arrived to River Region, they took me into a dirty bathroom and asked me to pee in a cup in front of another woman. I’m 35 years old and was really confused and extremely uncomfortable. I couldn’t pee, so they did my intake and afterwards, they took me back into the bathroom to try again, where I sat and sat and sat, absolutely humiliated. I DO NOT DO DRUGS!At the next appointment, after telling the nurse practitioner that I’ve been feeling so much better and even signed back up for school at the local community college, her response was to take me off one of my medications without offering an alternative. She also told me that I displayed symptoms of OCD which was new to me, but since it’s all part of the anxiety disorder spectrum and my uncle has schizophrenia and OCD, it’s possible. She took me off of paxil, put me prozac for the OCD and told me the .25 mgs of xanax that I was taking (2x daily) for 10 years was about to come to an end. Again, no alternative as I’m open to alternatives, I just don’t want to be without medication as I suffer from mental illness. Now, I’ve called the community college and apologized. I told them I couldn’t make orientation. The last time I was in school back in the year 2000, I left in an ambulance with the worst panic attack I’ve ever experienced in my life. The prozac prescribed, although a double dose, doesn’t work as well as the paxil did. I went from doing the best I have in years to Jennifer Fain pulling the rug out from underneath me. I didn’t want to say anything, but after being treated like a drug-seeking criminal, I had to write a review so that this doesn’t happen to someone else. The mind is a fragile thing and taking a mental patient off of their medication after doctors fought with them to take medications is a horrible idea. I used to be terrified to take anything, I thought it would “make me worse” or it would “poison me” until therapy redirected my thinking from “what if it does” to “what if it doesn’t.” Again, I know the stigma around certain medications, especially benzos, and that’s why I was willing to try an alternative. I spent a huge portion of my life agoraphobic, trapped in one room of my home. I couldn’t even leave the room to use the restroom. It was one of the darkest periods of my life. While my peers were out making friends, working hard on their educations, traveling, getting married and having children; I was bartering with God. I just don’t know what to say anymore. I’m at a loss for words. I’m extremely disappointed and concerned for the others who go here seeking mental health services. I know the options are slim, but please reconsider going here. They are nice, but they wont help you.

It started out to be a 4 or 5 star.. until about a week ago.. the rules have changed and a lot of non sense.. but it has helped us with the getting clean part.. just seems now they are trying to make it hard to stay that way.. lot of people leaving and going elsewhere... (4/16/2019)Now its changing the rules again.. and I used to think the other clients were lying about their usage, but Ive been clean since about 2-3weeks after I started.. it took about 2 weeks after my surgery(12/28th) to be completely clean and now they are trying to say I failed a drug screen.. impossible, Ive done nothing.. so we will see if they find a way to fix it or Im leaving too.. I dont want too, because its very clean, and the employees are very nice, but I refuse to be punished for something I know without a doubt, 100 percet, I didnt do. And if Im getting punished, there are a few others that will have to suffer from the consequences as well, due to things they are making me do.. for example: my husband, will be late for work multiple times in a week and it will last for over a month. My children, will have to go elsewhere or sit up there for over an hour or two before going to school, early as can be, multiple times in a week and for longer than a month. And on top of it all, Im being told I could get kicked out.. For what!! Ive done nothing.. Ive chosen to do this on my own, I wasnt forced to do this, why would I get clean to just screw up.. thats stupid and a waste of money I dont have.. hopefully they will help fix this or there will be other issues to deal with. I really would like to stay, but not if it means Im going to get screwed around with and forced to do things I shouldnt have to do, because I have been doing very well and Im proud to be clean and sober, FINALLY !!! I know better, Ive done exactly what Im supposed to be doing and nothing else, but Im now having to pay the price because I was trying to start my papers to leave.. and now they dont want me to down dose, because they are trying to say Im still using.. I beg to differ, Im not..

I have been in recovery at River Region for going on four years, and I can definitely say they are going in the wrong direction with what they should be fixing. Two main things I’d like to suggest:HIRE MORE DOSING NURSES,& REMOVE THE UNNECESSARY COVID RESTRICTIONS.Today I got there and I ended up having to stand outside in the cold for a whole hour. Because of Covid restrictions if there are a certain number of people in the waiting room security makes people stand outside in a line as if we are cattle waiting to get our feed. They still require masks at all times, and most concerning they do not let you bring in your child anymore.Today my fiancé lost his job because I couldn’t make it back home in time to watch the baby so he could go to work… this is completely avoidable if I was just able to bring my son in with me.I was stuck there waiting for a whole hour and a half just to get my dose .At this point this facility is hindering my recovery and putting our finances at risk. For the love of god, HIRE SOME NURSES AND REMOVE COVID RESTRICTIONS.

I started at River Region I guess around 10 years Im no longer there as they moved to far away forcing me to jax metro which is more of a grab and go than a treatment facilitythese places will work the goal is to get rid of cravings make the patient comfortable with medication so they can get your full attention without withdrawal symptoms or cravings once they have your attention and you are stable they get to work creating a custom treatment plan specifically designed for your particular situation as everyone is different some folks might confuse this with being bias or partial to a patient when its just a plan being followed anyway I have nothing negative to say other than just like anywhere or anything theyre ate people looking to take advantage

The worst place ever for treatment. The staff is very unprofessional and rude. No one answers the phone there ever. Clients receive a handbook that the staff doesnt follow. The director is new and her and a few of the staff makes up rules as they go along. They are in the process of changing everything yet is making the clients suffer during their transition. Shouldnt be allowed to take any new clients. Only in it for the money.
