I guess I dont understand all the bad comments about Dr.Marsh. She has never been cold to me at all. She is the reason I beat infertility, I have amazing twin girls who just turned 2. I am working this month for my second iui with this clinic and Dr. Marsh. My first go about was during covid, and I actually only saw Dr.Marsh on zoom each time. (I still have not had to meet with her) However, I still do get the quality care I need. The nurses, front desk, ultrasound staff, and providers have always been lovely and patient to me. I have referred many of my friends here and they also are big fans of the clinic! Thank you Dr.Marsh for helping me become a mom.

Compassionate, timely care was 5/5 when I was donating remains to a clinical trial. One year later, trial is over, and those same exact needs not relevant to them - care is now a 1/5 stars.

Dr.Marsh took good care of my husband and I. She was very thorough and made sure we understood the process. Our baby girl is 8 months old. We’re forever grateful for the University of Kansas Reproductive Endocrinology.

Dr. Lydic is wonderful. He himself called me before the first appointment to see if I had any questions. He reviewed each cycle and would send a timely message to let me know the plan each month. After 2 years of trying, we got pregnant on our 3rd cycle with the help of Dr. Lydic. Our baby girl is due next week! Thank you!!

Cannot speak highly enough about KU. The nurses have been so supportive and responsive and are always willing to answer any questions. The financial staff was helpful in figuring out the billing/insurance issues as it can be quite complicated. Dr. Lydic is not only incredibly competent physician but genuinely a kind and empathetic person. He called me at 7pm on a Saturday night when my genetic testing results came in-something I never would’ve expected but will be eternally grateful for. Dr. Holoch did my retrieval and was very personable and explained everything well and made me feel comfortable. Cannot recommend KU enough.

The care that I have received has been disappointing to say the least. I work in healthcare, and I have a definite advantage over others with navigating the healthcare field, administering my own medications, and generally understanding the process and what to expect. However, at KU’s clinic, it is actually impossible to reach someone over the phone, even with a time sensitive issue during business hours. If you call the main number, it’s a phone tree nightmare and when you finally get through you’re directed to use the patient portal to message the nurse. A response often takes a couple hours, and often complex problems just need an actual person to person conversation. I have found the front desk staff at their office to be generally unhelpful, and at times unfriendly. The IVF process includes lots of time sensitive medication administration, and there were often miscommunications about meds, how much to take, and how to administer them. They sent my medications to the wrong pharmacy multiple times, which made me have to drive around the KC metro area like a madwoman before the pharmacy closed to get meds that I had to administer that night. Their whole practice makes an already stressful/ emotional/ complex situation completely NIGHTMARISH. I changed to Blue Sky fertility, and it is a night and day difference. I have found that they do cost slightly more, but in my opinion is well worth it. Save yourself the trouble and do NOT go to KU.

I was able to schedule my consultation with Dr. Marsh within just a few days of calling, as a new patient. That is so rare. Everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The office is truly a judgement free zone which made me feel so comfortable. I felt that the nurses and Dr. Marsh truly listened to me and continue to do everything that they can to help us start our family. As a member of the LGBTQ community, it was really important that I found an office that made me feel safe and they definitely did this. Any time I have a question, they are quick to respond. I definitely recommend this office.

Dr. Lydic is the best doctor ever! He understands what it’s like to struggle with infertility and I felt heard throughout the journey which included a loss and a success. I wasn’t just a number to him. I loved the care I received as well as the results. You have a great team and I now have a beautiful baby. I can’t thank you enough. Thank you Dr. Lydic!

Honestly a terrible experience. Dr. Marsh was very dry and not personable. After telling her about my situation which was recurrent pregnancy loss she kept going on and on about a clinical trial she was doing and did I want to be a part of it. The appointment was more about her clinical trial than it was about me and what she could do to help me. I never went back after that first appointment.

In the face of “unexplained infertility”, I looked at multiple practices in the KC for guidance. Ultimately, KU was able to get us in the quickest. My husband works for KU so we both felt confident in the institution. Due to COVID, our initial meeting with the physician was via TH. He had a PowerPoint that seemed generic but provided a baseline understanding of options. I was instructed to come to the clinic for an initial ultrasound and lab work. I completed the US and was waiting to get my labs drawn when I received a notification via the app (the primary way the clinic communicates) that an additional lab was ordered. I asked the sonographer and the lab personal as to why but neither were able to provide insight. I was instructed to message the nurses via the app…I WAS SITTING IN THE CLINIC! I should have known then that communication was going to be a challenge but again, my husband works for KU and we think highly of the institution. After a failed medicated cycle and IUI, I messaged the nurses (messaging the doctor isn’t an option on the app), and asked for insight. The message I received back from the RN was the plan for another IUI cycle. There was no regard for my request, simply a med plan for a second IUI cycle. In reviewing the cycle, there was a med I had never heard of added. Because in the initial meeting (which for the record, was the only time we communicated with the physician in the 3.5 months we utilized the practice), the doctor had never mentioned this med, I sent a message and asked if I could get a call to get clarity. I wanted to understand what the med does, why it was ordered, and any side effects I should be aware of. I am a RN so I didn’t think it was too much to ask to receive basic education regarding a medication. When the RN called, she sounded annoyed. I understand it was a Sunday. I too was on-call for my nursing job so, I understand that it can interfere with one’s personal life but, that comes with being on-call. The nurse did explain what the medication does but when I asked why it was prescribed (did you notice something last cycle that indicated this med should be added or, is it is just the next medication in the toolbox), the nurse responded “it’s just what the doctor ordered.” I understand the essence of unexplained infertility, but I think it is a patients prerogative to understand why, even if the answer is “this is just the next shot in the dark.” I completed the cycle as prescribed and when I went in for IUI, this time a NP did the procedure (the first time, it was done but an RN). While there, I asked the NP if we could ask some questions. She was open to answering my questions and I thanked her saying “the communication hasn’t been the best and I just want to make sure that I understand my plan of care.” She became defensive and told me I should have messaged the nurses if I had questions. I told I did and she immediately said, “it is the volume of patients that we have here….years ago, I did everything from the counseling to the ultrasounds to the labs and now there is a sonographer, a lab tech, the nurses and things fall through the cracks because there are so many patients.” She proceed to tell me that she has “been doing this for a long time” and I, “ just need to trust the process because she is reviewing my records all the time.” Mind you, this encounter was the first time I had ever met, let alone communicated with, the NP. My husband equated the clinic to making us feel like cows being cycled through. That was my last straw. KU may be able to get to you in sooner than other practices in KC but, if you are looking for a fertility practice where you are valued as a patient, where discussion regarding your specific plan of care is ongoing, and where your questions are welcomed, I would encourage you to consider alternative options.

The nursing staff for the IVF retrieval were amazing. That being said, the FET office nurses need re-education on nursing communication and communicating with the physician. I have found that these nurses with Dr Marsh believe that they are the equal to a provider. $17,500 later I have talked to Dr Marsh twice. Baby making “puppy mill” type practice nothing is personalized.

They do not care your money spent. They never call you in a timely manner. The voicemail always tell you you can leave a message and they wont call you back. Especially for the extension #4 (to check your embryo, please press 4.) Ridiculously enough I was transferred by the system to a property management office I do not know why there are still so many patients here. Their system to track every patient is terrible.

Dr. Marsh is probably one of the coldest doctors Ive ever met. Taking the time to answer questions and give insight seemed like a huge irritation to her, every encounter. She was extremely unhelpful in getting a plan of action together and when I requested to speak to her over the phone I was charged $40 without notice. This practice makes you sit down with a financial advisor (which I greatly appreciated) and sign an agreement for the charges but when the bill came it was full of charges that we were never made aware of as a cash paying customer. I left the office manager 3 voicemails in October of 2016 and to this day no one has ever called me back. The last reason I would not recommend this practice, it is almost impossible to speak with someone. The only way to get a simple questioned answered or even make an appointment is to leave a message and pray for a call back. To be struggling with fertility and then be treated this way was like adding insult to injury. Very sad.

We have not completed our cycle yet but I must say they have been really good to work with. Communication is very professional and they have been quick to respond anytime I need them. They are very detailed with instructions, and Dr. Lydic, I can not say enough about him he has really taken time to explain everything. We have been very happy with the multiple doctors we have needed at KU! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

Dr Holoch has been my wonderful Reproductive Endocrinologist (IVF doc) for years. She has also become a fabulous and faithful friend through out this entire fertility journey. We now have 3 kiddos and would not be here without the help we received from them. She is truly a class act physician and we own her SO MUCH for all her knowledge, time, reassurance, and dedication to her patients and her specialty. Thank you for helping us create our family!

I’d leave no stars if possible! The lack of concern for their patients is pathetic at best. The timeliness of communication is terrible and only adds stress to a stressful process. The doctor is condescending and obviously annoyed when she has to answer questions. I’ve been forgotten in the waiting room numerous times, had to wait 6 weeks to meet with the doctor the 2nd time after already being an established patient and had them even forget to communicate my instructions for what medication and how much to take this week after leaving 2 messages through their portal before the end of the business day and having to page the doctor twice before she returned my call. I never imagined a place specializing in infertility could be lead by a physician with such poor communication skills, no compassion whatsoever and failure to be detail oriented when handling someone’s last chance to have a family of their own!

I am currently snuggling my little miracle, and he is 100% here because of Dr. Marsha and her lovely team!! It is a ROUGH, emotional process, but they were great and it has been so worth it. After TTC for 11 years, I have my son and 10 more embryos should we decide to try again.I know their services are sensitive, so I will say this: they cant guarantee you a baby. No one can. But they sure did move mountains for my family to ensure we did everything humanly possible. The one thing they are missing in the process is a referral to a therapist... And I HIGHLY recommend one, regardless of outcome, to help you through the emotional rollercoaster.

I have had a wonderful experience with this office. Any time I had any questions they were answered quickly through the online portal. Everyone was always kind. Nurses, front desk, support staff all are knowledgeable in their areas and never experienced any rude staff. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing their assistance. For reference, we used this office because we needed to do and IUI with donor sperm.

This was one of the worst medical experiences I have ever had. I tried several times to log in online to do the paperwork, every time it failed. I called in advance with my insurance and was told I was approved. When I arrived that day, I had to sit in a room and fill out my paperwork for an hour. I kept asking if I was 100% covered, I was told I would not have an appointment if I was not covered. I then saw a doctor who proceeded to make fun of everything my doctor (who saved my ovary) had done for treatment. I left crying. Then I got a bill because gues what, my insurance was not covering the appointment. So I got to pay $300 to sit in a room and fill out papers and have a doctor make me cry. I then tried calling to talk to someone, no one ever answered or called me back. I have written three letters, no response. Wouldnt recommend to any one.

Although they might respond yo this review but let me tell you their customer service and communication is zero because you have to send messages in their slow and archaic message portal and wait for someone to respond if they do choose. Billing is unprofessional and will cost you money by not responding to insurance inquiries. You will need to try and call and email several times before anyone respond. The care itself is suboptimal, ridden with mistakes in protocols and unexpected (but predictable) events which the patient has to bear through cost and consequences of. Im not sure if its because I am a dark skinned woman or they just dont care in general. I have had to reach out to nurses who act as gatekeepers to accessing the doctors but yet they dismiss your suggestions of the so called unexpected events based on your symptoms until it becomes too late that something isnt quite right. I will not be using this facility anymore, once is enough.

Can never get a hold of them when needed. They lack compassion. My embryo didn’t survive the thawing process and they called me the day I was suppose to go in for the transfer and let me know this rarely ever happens. I would definitely recommend CCRM!! CCRM runs like a well oiled machine! They are on top of their game! Support is needed throughout this journey and they do it well! Their testing is top notch!
