Planned Parenthood - Cobb Center

The rudeness, attitude, and lack of privacy I experienced from the front desk woman this morning was very unnecessary. I couldn’t even make it through the door before she was calling out to me across the lobby asking the reason I am arriving for. I hesitated to answer because obviously I’m not trying to announce to the whole facility. She repeats the question before I can respond and I let her know I can answer her when I reach the desk. Seemed like I was bothering her for showing up and preferring to keep MY health information private, won’t happen again!

Stacy and Taylor made my whole experience very easy and smooth. They talked me through the process even though I was scared. Also, I accidentally messed up my appointment times and days and they still accommodated me clinic that services more than just abortions. I would highly recommend. Thank you guys so much for your patience and care!

Tried to go for a pregnancy test and was treated very rudely. I am disabled and have a service dog and they were very rude about her and refused to let us be seen and told us we shouldn’t have even come in the door. According to the Americans with Disabilities act, this is illegal. They stated it was for “hygiene“ reasons, but that is not a legitimate complaint. if I can go to a hospital with my dog, I can pee in a cup with her. Unacceptable, I will absolutely never come back here again or recommend it to anyone else.

Came in for a wellness exam and testing! Overall experience was amazing. First time ever coming inside of a Planned Parenthood Center for anything. The ladies that were working inside that day was very helpful and knowledgeable in their areas. Definitely would and highly recommend.

I came for the first time to this location because I don’t have insurance. i needed to get my nexplanon removed due to health issues. taniaya was great! she was so sweet and helpful ( I brought my 10 month old duaghter ) , jessica was very sweet and helpful too all while being professional , and Stacy did my procedure and answered any questions i had. i loved all these ladies and will be returning soon to get some more things done. they also gave me condoms and things i needed until i got my ring from the pharmacy. if you guys see this, thank you a ton!

I have no problem at all with the actual cobb planned parenthood they were amazing when i went they did everything they were supposed to do! The problem i have is with who ever you guys have answering the phones for the whole planned parenthood business. When i went into my appointment in may they said i wasn’t pregnant but i already had a positive test at home well i let some time go by and i had 3 periods in 1 month well i definitely knew sum wasn’t right and tested again not even 3 weeks later and i had 4 more positive tests. Well when i called to make a appointment again (i called multiple times btw and on different days) they would not let me make a appointment because i already had a appointment 3 weeks ago saying i wasn’t pregnant. So she said i need a blood test to confirm my pregnancy, Well my obgyn didn’t have a next available appointment in till july 1st and that was way to far away and i couldn’t go to the hospital at the time because i didn’t have a baby sitter for my baby. So i called back and explained all of this to them and she still would not let me place a appointment with out a blood test. I get it yall don’t have time to waste on people who think” they are pregnant but i didn’t assume i definitely know my body and i took in total 6 positive pregnancy test. We barley get heard as women as it, and this is supposed to be a understanding organization for women so why don’t yall listen when a woman is in tune with herself and her body? i don’t remember the women’s names that i talked to but i asked what are my options when i can’t go to yall because you guys are refusing to even set a appointment with me and she said you can go out of state and i asked for more information about that and she said hold on and put me on hold for maybe 5 seconds and then hung up on me. So your receptionist are not only REFUSING to make people appointments after 6 positive pregnancy test (the first time i made a appointment all i said was i had a positive pregnancy test and got a appointment immediately) But they are also rude and have terrible customer service. If planned parenthood themselves or a higher up has any questions for me i would love to answer them! and thank you guys for really making me feel like i have a choice.

Had the most amazing experience EVER!!!! I went in to ask questions and received a wealth of information. Jessica was so intimate, gracious, knowledgeable and super helpful. Im extremely grateful for the assistance and compassion I received, especially when she told me they were closed for the day. Any questions, any information you need they are there to help without judgements. So thankful for planned parenthood. Please support this initiative 🙏❤️

Great experience today I came in for nexplanon removal and replacement. Jessica at the front desk was very polite, Taylor was pleasant once I was called back waiting to be serviced, the NP Stacy was very knowledgeable and personable. Great staff!

I felt more cared for here than any other doctor’s office I’ve been to. Thank you to those who work here, you are providing a much needed service for so many individuals.

The ENTIRE staff was extremely kind hearted and you can tell they actually care about your well-being. They got me in and out in a timely fashion and I didnt feel rushed at all. EVERYONE is extremely knowledgeable and my experience was wonderful.

The staff is wonderful! Kind, caring, and great personalities! I would absolutely use them again in the future for any of my medical needs! I will also do my best to keep services like this accessible to all.

The bad reviews are a bunch of Karen’s so don’t listen to them. This place was AMAZING!!!!!! The office staff and medical staff were excellent, very professional and personable. I went for an IUD, but they couldn’t insert it (because of anatomical reasons) and were so apologetic. They had me laughing while trying to insert, which is crazy since I cried the last time I tried, and were all together very thorough and kind. NP and triage nurses were the best medical professionals I’ve ever had!!!! 10/10, even though my procedure couldn’t be completed, which should speak volumes about their care and service. Go see them!!!!!!

I have no idea how this place has any bad reviews…I made an appointment online and the process was super easy and I was able to be seen the next day.Getting there-Front desk staff was so so kind, like instantly made me smile!Getting the exam- Nurses Nicole and Stacy had amazing bedside manner, were informative, and best of all, didn’t rush me at all.Getting medication- I was given 2 different options and the pros and cons of both. The meds were sent over to a pharmacy nearby within the hour and Stacy even advised me to use Good Rx for a discount.Checking out- The price was so reasonable. I don’t currently have insurance and I paid about what I used to pay at the gynecologist even when I had insurance.All in all, I was out in less than 1.5 hours! and I left with a great experience and a peace of mind.I can’t thank Planned Parenthood enough.

Wait times could be better regarding the fact that sometimes literally only two patients are in the waiting room but still have to wait even if youre just getting medication. But good facility overall. Affordable care and medication. Will definitely return!Update; had an unacceptable experience today, had no insurance on file even though I remember adding it a long time ago, Medicaid number was not enough they needed a picture even though there is no psychical card. I dig through my phone to find it, and they cant even send me another registration link for me to upload it. Not even an upload to profile option?? And THEY DONT HAVE EMAIL. What kind of doctors office DOESNT have an email?? So then I have to install a fax app to my phone that forces you to put in card info for a 25$ subscription. All to just give them my insurance info otherwise I have to reschedule or pay out of pocket. I had to keep myself from going off. What a ridiculous system.

First they told me to drive to Walmart to purchase a mask since they could not provide one. Lmao no. Second they made me wait an hour. An hour for a depo provera shot. This place is awful 😂 the other location near Suwanee is way more organized and they get you in and out. This place had a scary vibe to it y’all be safe

I came here for a plan b without an appointment because online it states you don’t need an appointment. It was a Monday at 3:00pm about 3/4 weeks ago, the girl that answered the buzzer told me “ WE’RE CLOSED THAT’S WHY THE LIGHTS ARE OFF.” But aren’t they supposed to be opened at that time?

This is by far one of the worst experiences Ive ever had with any type of medical office. The day of my appointment they had me waiting in the office, hours past my scheduled appointment time just to tell me I had six people in front of me. There was lack of communication from the staff on multiple occasions. Staff was rude and passive aggressive. They had a document that was created at the end of December that was meant to be mailed out to me at the end of that month and wasnt sent until mid-february! I call the patient access center and majority of women wanting to help are rude, nasty, impatient and will hang up in your face, no matter what your concern is. Im still dealing with issues from a procedure I had done by them and its two months later! Im having to go to other doctors due to their poor care and handling. No one will answer or theyll hang up. These people dont care, they just want to look good and keep their jobs. Go to any location except this one, Im begging you.

I’ve been to 3 different Planned Parenthood locations, over the years. This location is definitely nice and organized. I attempted to make an appointment online but had no ideas It didn’t go through. I know it’s usually a wait for walk in appointments but since the call center wasn’t answering I took my chances. They were very nice and clean. I can’t remember any names, but all the ladies were really good at what they do.

This is unfortunately the closest location to me. Every time I come here it’s some kind of issue forcing me to drive to East Atlanta office for service. Today they don’t have a provider so I can’t pick up my prescription birth control. So then why are you open and why don’t you have these type of inconvenient things mentioned on your website on days when you can’t service patients. Any other time, they are randomly closed for training or something else. It’s literally the worst facility in Atlanta. Planned Parenthood is a vital necessity for most poor people who need care but this place does not uphold that same value. Very ghetto, do not recommend.

Everyone from the woman on the phone assisting me in scheduling my appointment to the woman at the front desk to the medical assistant and the doctor, AMAZINGLY helpful and very very nice. The office is clean and organized and there is so much information and helpful brochures. I had a 3 oclock appointment, I went 15 minutes early to do paperwork as I was a first time patient and was seen right on time. Theyre punctual and friendly and prices arent bad. The clinic isnt just for abortions and that isnt what I was there for. I would highly recommend them.

Only place cheap in my area and would not reccomend. After covid they wouldnt allow anyone to wait in the waiting room unless you had appointment. Youd have to wait outside or in your car and during this time it was extremely hot outside. Getting prescriptions takes so long. I dont blame the stafe for these delays or rules im sure its the owners rules. I wouldnt reccomend this place unless there isnt any planned parenthood in your area

Takes forever to be seen, even with an appointment. Maybe if more people donated theyd be able to staff better. At least the pricing is great.I just had to revise this to take off a star because, despite how nice the staff is, they also seem to forget to call in prescriptions. What’s better, there’s also no way to directly contact them to resolve issues like this.

Ive been a patient of Planned Parenthood for about 10 years now at multiple locations in Georgia and in Indiana. The first year I moved to Georgia I was pleased to find this location had a friendly staff. About two years ago I started to notice the decline in the quality of service. During my visit last year I was treated very rudely by a woman at the front desk and I wanted to pass it off as someone possibly having a bad day. This year I went back and with the exception of one nurse, everyone at the location was rude and off putting. I really wish that I could say I want to keep supporting Planned Parenthood, but I can no longer justify being treated badly. I will now be ordering my birth control online and finding a slightly less affordable doctor for in-office appointments.Planned Parenthood, please make an option for feedback thats not just calling the office visited. I dont feel comfortable asking to talk to a manager when no one was nice in the first place.

I’m shocked at the poor reviews because that was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had a doctor. As someone with trauma it’s important for me to feel safe and I not only felt safe, I felt welcome and cared for. The staff was more than polite and kind. Great facility and great treatment!!

I was honestly disappointed by this place, I read the reviews and they are pretty spot on. I get my depo shot every 3 months, the Lawrenceville is closed due to a pipe burst so I had to drive further to marietta. It took them FORTY MINUTES just for me to get a simple depo shot. Even the nurse asked why they had me waiting that long. Then proceeded to almost charge when my insurance covers it. Expect rudeness and wait

I literally went all the way to the office to pick up prescriptions. Was told over the phone I could add my new insurance and pick up pills if I arrived before 530. Get there I’m told the complete opposite. They could not administer pills since I’m using insurance. She could have told me this on the phone. I could have given my insurance info over the phone. Anyway, I was told the prescription would be called in to my Walgreens. I’m literally in the Walgreens parking lot no prescription was called in. Just a joke. Blessed to have insurance I’ll be moving to a private OBGYN I won’t patron any establishment that wastes my time.

This establishment is extremely proficient! I absolutely admire Dr. Haynes for her contribution to Planned Parenthood and to my overall health as well. She assisted me with medical concerns and was very professional and compassionate. I felt very comfortable with her, seeing as shes been in the field for 45 years with a degree from Emory. Why go somewhere else, pay far more, for a doctor who doesnt have the experience like she does?Front office is gracious and kind. Youll need to book atleast two weeks ahead of time since this location in Marietta seems to be quite busy.

Came here for an IUD procedure and it went smoothly. The doctor understood I was apprehensive, and she was very calm, sweet, and professional. I even got to flip off a protestor on my way out haha.The wait time is a bit long, but it’s worth it because the staff here are awesome. Thank you ladies!

Signed up for service and LPN argued about care for me. Kept trying to insist on an IUD after I explained my previous pain and experience. So unprofessional

Everyone was really nice, from the front desk to the Dr to the back office. Expect at least a hour wait even if you have an appt. My appt was at 4, i was finally taken back at 5. The reason for the lower rating is because the prescription they wrote me was wrong and I and the pharmacy have called and left messages and I have even gone up there and said something and told them what it should be. It has been 2 weeks and they still have not contacted the pharmacy. So here I am 2 weeks later, they have their money and I still have no medicine. So know exactly how your prescription is supposed to be written just in case the Dr doesnt or you will be in limbo hell.

I 100% hate this location. The workers treat you with such disrespect. This is about 30 minutes away from me and came to pick up my birth control pills to find out that they now have specific hours on when you can pick up only on Monday Wednesday Thursday when it used to be pick up any time everyday except Tuesday Thirsday. The best part about it is they didnt update their website on this new policy. So I 1. Wasted gas 2. Waited 5 minutes for the front desk receptionist to show up to her seat since you could hear her and other employees laughing and playing music. Then once Im assisted I ask when my pills will be ready at my pharmacy and she replies rudely when the dr gets here this company is so unorganized and does not care about their clients once my prescription ends I will be seeking birth control from a real doctor

I made an appointment for 8:20 because I work a lot and my time is very valuable. When I arrive it’s like a supersize that I’m in the building. As if the appointment was never made! Then they asked a women OUT LOUD the reason for her visit! I told them my phone doesn’t have service so I’m not receiving the calls. She told me to check my blocked list or call my service provider! I MADE AN APPOINTMENT!!!!!!!!

Went in for annual. Appointment was at ten and they saw me at 1 after all the patients who had come after had left. On top of that. They found something I had no idea was there, took a few samples and told me to call a number for results. Gave me a pamphlet and that was it. No talk or aide. I called a week later and they said they didnt perform any tests so I have no idea what is going on with my body thanks to them. They also didnt even accept blue cross blue shield health insurance.If this is how these facilities are run within the bible belt then your system needs work. I wasnt there for an abortion. I was there for safe health and wellness.

Love the staff but the wait times are ridiculous I had a appointment at 1:20 for just a refill birth control prescription and I didn’t leave until 3:50pmLiterally all the doctor does is ask questions and tell you the risk of birth control and that’s it, I waited three hours just to be talked to for 5-10 mins. Plus a walk in was seen before me when I was there probably a hour before she came in?

Everyone but my provider were really kind of rude and off putting, which honestly i didn’t expect my first time at their office. Sitting in the lobby was the most uncomfortable as it seemed like every person who walked through the door also had an issue with the young lady behind the desk so you sat and listened to a slew of passive more aggressive banter between her and patients

Ive been coming here for birth control since January; in which Im always early to my appointments. I have NEVER been called back on time. Its always at least an hour visit for something that takes 1 minute to administer. I dont understand how they are always late.

I came here for a visit. I do not like it when you tell them your medical history and they take a dismissive tone. Especially at intake. Only one person was nice at the front desk. The provider is okay.

Overall great experience in office. The online appointment setup was not great though. It was unclear and I ended up calling to make an appointment.

This place is the opposite of a safe and secure place for people who are in need of security and help. The customer service is terrible they are people who are supposed to help and provide quality service instead when you arrive to this building you find people who seem irritability frustrated unwilling to provide the service that we desperately need. I’m uneducated and expected to go in their to get answers help and guidance instead I got theee front lady workers who were agitated and irritated that I was even trying to have a conversation. So in the end I recommend that anyone who needs help, guidance, or a place for answers and safety steer far far far far far far far away from this “Planned parenthood”!!!!!!!!!

Rude and do not have the same guidelines that they have online, unfortunately. You are much better off going to the Atlanta woman’s center instead if you’re looking for similar services Planned Parenthood offers. You’re not allowed to have a support person inside with you which can also be harder for some woman who struggle with their mental health. This would be the last place I would choose for services. You can get birth control at your local health department and testing done cheaper as well.

Well jeez....i didnt think it was a bad experience. While the wait was long, everyone was friendly and quick once I got called back there. I especially liked the doctor, who was laid-back and nice.

I would rate 1 star but giving an extra star for some of the office staff. Some were nice and helpful, but most were rude, cold, and had a serious superiority complex. Waited an hour in the waiting room, then waited an additional 40 mins (naked from the waist down I might add) on the table in the exam room. I have never been to PP before, but from what I can tell, they are only helpful with basic problems. I had questions and concerns regarding having pelvic inflammation, irregular periods, pain,... Long story short, something is wrong. Yet All of my concerns were dismissed as if I never even said them. As a matter of fact, right after I got done telling the doctor my last 2 periods were both a month behind schedule (meaning Ive had 2 in a 4 month span) and that my last one was extremely irregular, being late and on again off again, she asked what the date I had it was, which was almost 2 months ago, she literally asked me but it was a true period right? On time and everything? Ummm, no. I literally just said it was completely irregular, spotty, and late. I told the Dr I can feel a lump in my lower right abdomen, and laid back for her to feel it for herself (btw, have never had a pelvic exam where they DIDNT feel around on your belly to check for tenderness ) and she didnt even bother to check it out. She must not have even read my paper work because during the small talk before the exam, I mentioned my two children and she said oh you have kids? How sweet shouldnt you KNOW whether your patient has given birth or not before you go sticking your hands up them? Is that not information they should read on my papers before they come to any conclusion of knowing what is wrong with me? What is the point to filling out a brochure of paperwork if she doesnt even bother to read it. I was diagnosed with BV, given pills and sent on my way. BV doesnt cause any of the issues I went in to find answers for. Halfway done with these pills, and guess what. Still have every one of the problems I was having before. I will be going to a real OBGYN asap. This place is a joke.

Why they’re even open I don’t know there’s NEVER a doctor in the office, so why be an office?! I can NEVER get my prescription filled cause a doctor is NEVER present in the office. Oh and if you want your script transferred to a local pharmacy (Publix,CVS Etc) to get it filled CAUSE THE DOCTORS NEVER IN THE OFFICE you can’t EVER get it filled again at planned parenthood they won’t take your script back. The staff was very helpful and informative. It was of the few times that my questions were answered. My concerns werent immediately dismissed as having to do with my weight. They made me feel validated and safe.

My daughter went to this place and when I say it was the worst experience ever. These people only care about your money .When it comes to your health and how you doing they dont care . I would not recommend this place to nobody . If you go I promise you will regret it .I give 0 stars for this place

I had an appointment at 1030 am I arrived early, signed in, I waited till 11 to ask when I was going to be seen the front desk lady was rude when she replied that I should have been told over the phone the wait would be 3-4 hours!!! If I would have known that I would of gone else where and not bother to schedule an appointment, especially believing in going to be seen before walk ins!! Worst experience!!!

The waiting room is dismal and the receptionist at the check in desk is very rude. The nurses and doctors in the back are quite friendly and knowledgeable. Wait times are atrocious so be prepared to spend a few hours here.

Rude and ignorant staff for no reason. Covid only made their attitudes worst for them to get away with turning ppl away and being able to get away their unnecessary demeanor. Also the screening process thru the door announcing why your there feels like a violation of Hipaa where is the privacy.

Do not go here!... I have insurance that Planned Parenthood does not accept. So birth control is an out of pocket expense. Please do not charge me for unnecessary services to fatten your greedy pockets after an hour wait. So ridiculous! No stars if possible.

Waited about 2 hours after my appointment to be seen, during which 2 separate women walked out citing they had missed their window & had jobs (this will take all day!) after the visit was told they didnt accept blue cross blue shield, paid about 100$ out of pocket - appointment was Monday, its now Wednesday, still havent called in my prescription, even after repeatedly talking with the call center

Im originally from Los Angeles, California and it schocked me that in Georgia Planned Parenthood is not low cost or free. In California, it is low cost or free. The .V.does make it difficult for people that are low income to afford birth control or emergency contraceptive. You might as well go to your own doctor.

My appointment was at 2pm and I got there at 2:05pm due to bad traffic, signed my name on the wait list hoping to be called in 30 minutes, but that never happen,they were calling patients who came after me and I find that very disturbing , after waiting for 90minutes I asked the lady at front desk when would my be called cuz I was suppost to be at work by 4:30pm, the answer she gave me was she don’t know, I was so dissappointed and I have to leave without taking my shotsThere wait time is very very bad

They told the mother of my child that Earlier in july she miscarried.. go back a couple weeks later SHE IS STILL PREGNANT.. after that they tell her she miscarried again.. but look she is still pregnant currently 13 weeks.. won’t be coming for another appointment again
