Acupuncture by Devon

I have been going to see Devon for acupuncture for almost six months now. I wasnt so sure that I was going to like this type of treatment but she was recommended to me by another practitioner. Not only is Devon a really cool, sweet and easy-to-talk to person but she has been able to create positive changes in my body and health that have really surprised me. She always takes plenty of time to discuss any changes since my last visit and is great at explaining all that she does and why and how it will affect me.I would recommend Devon to all my friends and family because I feel that she is not only awesome at what she does but she is also a wonderful person who genuinely cares about her patients.Thank you Devon for all you do for me!

Devon is an amazing acupuncturist. With my injury she was a great help and part of a team of alternative providers that helped me to avoid knee surgery, even though the orthopedic doctors I was seeing were only recommending surgery. She is knowledgeable and understands how to help. I got relief from the treatment, but also from her calm confidence. Im back out running now! Cant say enough about Devon!

Devon is amazing! When I first went to her I was having allot of trouble with insomnia, feeling overheated and low back pain. I had received acupuncture before, but Devon is definitely a step above the rest and it shows in her treatments. She was able to help me with my sleep, over heating and gave me a ton of relief in my back. She is very skilled and extremely knowledgeable and really cares about her patients. Devon is the best! I have been going to her for about two years now and I have been really happy with the results.The first couple of times I didnt feel any results but she told me that it takes a couple of visits. She was honest from day one and told me that sometimes it takes longer. After several more visits the constant knee and back pain that prevented me from doing the activities that I love felt better after each treatment.Soon after I was up running my marathons and triathlons! I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Devon! She truly is the best! I was constantly getting colds that would linger for a few weeks. After talking with Devon, she told me that she could help me with acupuncture. The next cold I had I saw Devon and I can honestly say that one treatment helped me get rid of my cold faster. Devon is an amazing acupuncturist. I have been seeing Devon for a few years now and have experienced a significant difference in my health and overall well being from regular sessions with her. I have seen/felt my digestion and sleep improve greatly. I use to suffer from severe menstrual cramps, but since working with Devon, they are gone. As well, the mental fogginess I use to experience frequently has stopped, I have much more mental clarity now! Devon is also very knowledgeable about nutrition, essential oils and supplements, and she is fun and easy to talk with! I began seeing Devon for treatments midyear in 2011. Ive never experienced such skilled needlework as provided by Devon. I can be a bit sensitive to pain from time to time and the thought of having needles poked into me made me feel that this might just be an issue. It wasnt. Devon is AMAZING! I barely felt any of the needles she used on me. I felt very at ease and safe as she treated me, never worrying about what was going on. Devon made sure that, if I had any questions about why she was placing a needle in any particular area, she would answer those questions as clearly and openly as possible. I never felt like I didnt understand what was going on during the treatments.Another completely awesome aspect of her treatments is the cupping. I absolutely love it! Devon takes great care to make sure that Im comfortable and works on any specific concerns I may have - searching for the root cause of my issues, not just treating the symptoms. Ive felt healthier and more balanced since starting my treatments and I cant thank Devon enough for helping make that happen for me.

Devon is amazing at what she does. I have gone to see her a few different times. The last time was for a knee injury I sustained while snowboarding. With a combination of acupuncture and kinesio tape, she was able to alleviate my pain and help me get back to being active in a couple of days, with full movement back in my knee. I thought I was going to be rehabbing my knee for weeks, what a pleasant surprise! I have many friends who have seen Devon for a variety of health issues, and every single one of them had the same positive experience with incredible results. Devon is an excellent health practitioner who is knowledgeable, professional, and most importantly, gets the results her patient are seeking.The whole experience at Devons clinic was relaxing and enjoyable. Not only did I leave the office with my knee pain having subsided, but I was felt totally relaxed and ready to get back on with my life without dealing with an annoying knee injury. Devon is one of the best and her professionalism, depth of knowledge, warmth and care will have you keep coming to her again and again. She helped me before, during and after both my pregnancies. Even after my treatment was over I would find a reason to go get another treatment . After she left the city to practice in north California, I tried several order practitioners but cant find someone as adept as her. I took my 4 year old daughter to see Devon because of recurring knee pain she had. I had previously seen several pediatricians who werent very helpful so I wanted to try another route.Devon had a great rapport with my daughter and made her feel very relaxed but also kept up with her endless questions about what she was doing and why!Devon was very thorough and explained the procedures and possible causes of what could be causing the pain.I would not hesitate in recommending Devon to others, she provides an excellent safe and effective therapy to clients of all ages.

I just had my third acupuncture treatment by Devon, and it was just blissful. I felt like I was floating on clouds the rest of the day. I started seeing Devon for chronic shin splints/right knee pain that developed from triathlon training over the last few years. After a couple weeks of treatment, my shins/knee feel MUCH better and I am beginning to run/bike pain free again. From the first visit, Devon was very thorough with trying to understand what was going on with my body and each visit she listens to me and adjusts the treatment accordingly. One of the most noticeable changes after the treatments is the reduction in my stress levels which was surprising. My main focus were my shins/knee but I had no clue I would be feeling way less stressed, more relaxed, and just feeling good with the acupuncture treatments. Definitely will continue to see Devon to keep me training!

If you would have told me a year ago that someone putting a bunch of needles in my back would be relaxing, I would have told you that you are insane. I have always been terrified of needles and never thought I would do acupuncture, but life led me to it and Dr. Devon, and Im so glad it did! I went to see Devon for a sports injury. I play a lot of soccer and had a groin strain. Her office was very relaxing, she did a great job with the acupuncture but more importantly she went above and beyond with some other ideas, techniques, and suggestions.Devon also provided cupping therapy, which Ive always been curious about, but never tried. I loved it! She also recommended an herbal topical agent for the sore muscle and gave me access to a website that had specific stretches specifically to strengthen the sore muscle.I do and will continue to recommend Devon to anyone who is in pain and/or cares about general health, wellness, and preventative medicine. We began seeing Dr. Devon when my daughter Brooklyn was 4 years old. She had a severe allergy to dust and as a result, her pediatrician prescribed 2 inhalers and 2 different medications that she was taking daily for asthma. The medications had awful side effects. My husband and I were desperate to find something healthier for her body that would allow us to discontinue the use of all of the medications. I had never seen an acupuncturist myself so I wasn’t sure what to expect.My daughter is terrified of needles so Dr. Devon was forced to treat her by a series of treatment methods that don’t include needles. She has used essential oils on the same acupuncture points where perhaps needles could have been used, therapeutic massages, heat sticks and cupping. When my son was born we soon added him onto the schedule to assist in building his immunity! Brooklyn was free of her medications and was healthier than ever!Dr. Devon has not only provided our family treatments but has also taught us how to incorporate some of the techniques into our home life which is AMAZING. My kids know that if they are starting to show symptoms, we go to techniques that Dr. Devon has taught us. This form of treatment does not eliminate your chances of getting sick because it will happen at times. The thing is that you find that it happens LESS often and for shorter durations.I am a firm believer that adding these treatments to my family’s lives has been a game changer! Devon is great! I first met her after being hit by a car. I was in horrible pain and Devon quickly got me in to see her. She even came in on a holiday to see me before I left for a week. I cant thank her enough for helping me through one of the hardest times of my life. Now, I consider Devon a friend and a colleague, as I am a Physical Therapist and Massage Therapist... You know that feeling when you go get treatment and leave from the session feeling renewed and positive about the outcome?Well thats how it feels for me every time I visit Dr. Devon lays her hands on me (well...with needles, cups, essential oils and hugs for that matter).Two things worth mentioning.1. Ive been suffering from allergies for several years. Finally I was convinced to try western medicine, particularly acupuncture. Under Dr. Devons care I no longer take allergy pills every day and my symptoms are now minimal.2. Not too long ago I sprained my back muscles from doing yoga. I was dehydrated to begin with so doing yoga was a terrible idea (I KNOW). Ten minutes in to the class I collapsed in pain. That same day I went straight to Dr. Devon to fix me. I cannot say enough good things about Devon! I have suffered with back pain since 7th grade. Ive done it all, injections, physical therapy, chiropractic, massage etc... 3 years ago I threw out my back for the first time and had to stop running which was devastating to me. I was desperate to find something to help with my pain. I was referred to Devon by a few of my friends. I honestly never thought that acupuncture would help with my back because it was a structural problem. BUT IT DID! I hate needles. Seriously, I am one of those people who faint during blood draws. I have to do lamaze breathing during vaccinations. So when acupuncture was recommended to me, I rejected it out of hand. However, Devon was able to calm my fears... she used small needles, kept me from seeing them, and talked me through the process. I was suprised to find that her treatment was completely painless, and I was delighted to feel calm, rested, and energized immediately (and for days thereafter) following each treatment.So, Ive pretty much decided that Devon is the perfect acupuncturist! Love, love & love Devon! I have taken over the counter drugs for sinus issues for years and this season decided to try a more natural and healthier approach. Ive known Devon for a few years and decided to trust her with my head/sinus issues and am I so happy that I have! The sinus issues are SO much better & it is wonderful to not be having to be bound to otc pills every few hours every day ~

I first experienced Devons work for an old shoulder injury (skiing accident) that has taken years to regain full strength and health. Occasionally a tweak while training (my overzealous ego or inner kid creeps out)... sending me to back to therapy. Over the years, I have learned to manage the sprains and strains through acupuncture. What stands out is Devon’s uniqueness and compassion. You can observe a lot from when she enters the room. She is thoughtful and present. She speaks from a place of knowledge. There is this palpable feeling of empathy and a passion to heal. Her treatments are diverse... most of the time I would just receive needling from my other Acus. With Devon, she has a war-chest of treatment options and recommendations. After just a few sessions, I am back to handstands and my inner kid couldnt be more satisfied.

I just had a great treatment with Devon. I arrived run down and a bit sluggish and left feeling great. A couple needles, some very relaxing fire cupping, and a little massage and everything feels awesome. I will definitely make more frequent appointments and recommend Devon to others.

Devons gentle approach to acupuncture was effective -- I didnt feel a thing. Just a few visits and the knots in my back loosened themselves up and I was up and running like new. Devon is extremely professional and courteous, after one visit you wont be looking for another practitioner.

I have received treatments from Devon about 20 times over the past several years for a variety of reasons. She is extremely knowledgeable about Chinese Medicine and acupuncture, and is great at explaining in laymans terms how it can help. Devon is a wonderful practitioner. Ive had the pleasure of sharing office space with her when I was a new acupuncturist, and she was the first acupuncturist I trusted with my care in my first pregnancy. She has treated my son, and it was a wonderful experience. She cares deeply about her patients and is always pushing herself to be a better acupuncturist. She had a very busy practice focusing on fertility and prenatal/postnatal care, and she could have stayed in this speciality forever, but she has put her energy and efforts into helping children, which is an underserved population. She is studying with one of the best pediatric acupuncturists in the country, to make sure she provides the best care to her patients. I am sad to see her leave San Diego, but I look forward to utilizing her knowledge via virtual consultations for my children.

DEVON, DEVON, DEVON! I am walking upright, standing all day comfortably and sleeping through the night due to my Angel Devon! I happened to be neighbors with Devon and was looking for a acupuncturist that specialized in fertility treatments. She had excellent reviews and I already loved her in person... a perfect match.I was 40 years old and planning to try for a baby. I also had a few other problems to deal with... I had suffered from endometriosis since my early 20s and had already undergone two laproscopies and treatment with continuous birth controls (no periods) since I was in my mid 20s. I was concerned that it was too late to have a baby at my age, so my doctor recommended that I take a test called the Anti-Müllerian Hormone TEST or AMH test. Its a relatively new test and can supposedly provide an indirect measurement of a womans egg supply which is also known as ovarian reserve. My test results came back extremely low- the lowest score possible on the AMH scale. The doctor called and said how sorry she was and that Id have to use donor eggs and IVF if I ever wanted to have a baby. It was the worst news ever.I decided to try acupuncture and a better diet before resorting to IVF and the other treatments the doctor told me I would need.Several months after starting treatment with Devon, at 41 years old, it happened! I cant tell you the shock that followed when I saw that faint pink line on the pregnancy test. Im 5 months along now (she just kicked!) and am still in shock from the news.Choosing Devon as an acupuncturist was a great decision for me! Definitely well worth the time and money spent...

This was my first experience with acupuncture, I was definitely a little nervous but was assured it would be great for me and the baby. (I am currently 15 weeks pregnant) First off, the office is very esthetically pleasing and relaxing which I loved. I was also able to bring my 10 month old baby along with me(I know that doesnt sound relaxing but it was!) This was important for me because I dont have anyone to watch him during the day if I have appointments.I thought the needling would hurt but you hardly feel it at all! The point of this prenatal appointment Was to hit the points called the Happy baby point (Kidney 9 in Chinese medicine). This is to solidify the partnership of you and the baby She used a golden needle, a precious metal and by using this type of needle on this point its said to detox the womb and ward off any evils (chromosomal, autism, disease etc.) that can affected a new born baby as if putting golden bubble or halo of protection around them.I learned that acupuncture is great for all stages of pregnancy. It can help with things like fatigue, insomnia, swelling, muscle cramps, breech presentation, any pain, etc.... I will definitely go back!For anyone having problems with fertility, she also does treatments to help with fertility and get you pregnantIf youre looking for a acupuncturist who will listen toYour needs, make you feel at ease and give you an amazing relaxing treatment I definitely recommend coming to Devon!!!! She is absolutely worth it!!!

I have now had two wonderful pregnancies thanks to Devon. During each pregnancy I COULD NOT WAIT to go see her. Each time she would help alleviate any pregnancy related or non-pregnancy related symptom I was experiencing. Especially with my 2nd pregnancy the symptoms were numerous ranging from: nausea, bloating, insomnia, heartburn, irritability, allergies; I could go on and on. My first son came about perfectly healthy (he was conceived via IVF) and I am now counting down the days for my second son to make his appearance (he was conceived naturally). I will continue to go see her after he is born to help with any postpartum issues I may have. I dont know what I would do without her!

Dr. Devon put a Glutathione patch on the back of my lower neck after a week of struggling with this cough. In February 2020 I had an uncontrollable dry cough that was persistent, it kept me up at night, I couldnt eat because I would cough up whatever I ate shortly after, my head was pounding because I was coughing so much, and I had an abnormal amount of mucus in my throat which I thought was strange because I dont eat dairy. I noticed within about 30 minutes after having the Glutathione patch on, my throat seemed to open up, and not be so itchy. I used the other patch she gave me. I do believe these patches helped me with clearing up my dry cough and draining the mucus that was in my throat. These patches were new to me and I am glad I was open to try them. If youre experiencing what I did I would recommend you work with Dr. Devon. The sooner the better so you dont have to go a whole week like I did of pure discomfort.

I developed an extreme case of eczema all over my hands, feet and scalp after the birth of my first child (11 years ago now).  Over the years I have tried everything from lotions and oils, to steroid ointments to UV treatment to help with the eczema and nothing has really worked. About 1 year ago during a phone consultation, Devon suggested that I try a gluten free diet to see if that would help with my symptoms.  At the time I thought that she was crazy because how could gluten cause such itching, burning and pain in my body but I decided to give it a try anyways.  Im happy to say that now I am on a gluten free diet , for the most part, and my eczema symptoms have all but disappeared.  I do get an occasional breakout if I overdue my gluten intake but other than that the eczema is gone. Thank you Devon for suggestion and changing my health!

When I stated seeing Dr Vernetti, I was in a lot of back pain. After a few sessions my back started feeling better and I was pain free. She has a very broad knowledge and has helped me with many other problems such as acne, fungus nail, headache, emotional stress to name a few. She is very professional, caring, kind and gentle.
